Hunting doesn’t   suit   him.    〖 MAYBE IT NEVER DID.     MAYBE IN SOME PAST LIFE HE DOESN’T REMEMBER HE’D BEGGED DEAN TO TEACH HIM ,    TO TRAIN HIM TO   KILL . 〗    He’s too empathetic   –––    too   pathetic   really ,   can’t really get a handle on anticipating how a gun   bites back ,   still jumpy from the way the shot still rings in his ear.

Ben wants to go home.    Still uneasy knowing his mother’s home alone ,     defenseless against what’s   out there .     But something in him doesn’t sit quite right with the thought of Krissy looking for    this Dean guy    on her own.

001.    bridget   &   bash baxter     :     when bridget returns to her mother’s home town ,   she is eager to learn more about the woman she lost.     but as it turns out ,   her mother’s life was far darker than she ever   k n e w .     after tearing through years of diaries ,   she realizes that her mother’s sudden rushed marriage to her former english professor may have been born not out of intense ,   young love    ––    but the need to run away from something.     someone.     her diary is lines with entries of the full moon ,   of not being able to control something ,   of a boy named mac.     and when bridget goes hunting for answers ,    she finds his   son   instead. 

002.    bridget   &   penny adiyodi     :     the gods are real.     bridget is a daughter of apollo ,    bold and fearless ,    who shows up at the gates of the underworld ,   trying desperately to get her brother back.    hades agrees to send the two of them on a quest   :    if they succeed ,    penny and perry walk free and have second chance at life. 

003.    bridget   &   killer frost     :     bridget is a new meta human who has trouble controlling her powers ,   due to them being linked with pre-existing mental illness.     caitlin works on medication for her to control them ,   and through that process ,   bridget comes across frost.

004.    bridget   &   claire novak     :     they’d always told her her mother was crazed.     creative.    had a wandering mind.     but the short stories and notes bridget had held on to all her life ,    stories of vampires ,   and ghosts ,   and demons    –––     those stories are   r e a l .      once in love with a hunter in her teens ,   a vessel ,    marly knew about the world no one else saw ,   too much ,    too soon ,    too fragile.      years later ,    when marly is dead and the world is on the brink of a supernatural apocalypse ,    those notes save her daughter’s life.     bridget is a quick learner ,   and fiercely defends her brother ,    who is all she has left.      bridget then meets claire novak in the rush to stay alive ,   and they join forces to survive. 

005.    bridget   &   nate archibald     :     he thinks it’s one of serena’s games at first ,   when he calls her and she doesn’t turn to look at him.     but suddenly he’s seeing her everywhere ,   and even gossip girl is confused.    when bridget strolls up to him on the columbia campus ,   asking if he knew and eric richman on the soccer team and where he might be ,   he finally realizes   :    this isn’t serena van der woodsen at all.     and the gang has to figure out how the hell a serena doppleganger even exists.     probably lily was pregnant with twins but was told one of the babies passed who knows it’s gossip girl. 

alternatively ,    but just as crack-y .  .  .    not 100% gossip girl but maybe serena is a human doppelganger and bridget is a vampire ,   so they’re not twins.

001.     PENNY ADIYODI    +    QUINN FABRAY.      She hates living with the Psychics as much as he does ,    too secretive ,    too repressed to want to let anyone in.     But she hates her power more.     They’re tentative friends.    She’s been born in to this   :    daughter of a wealthy family of Brakebills graduates ,   and he’s in over his head.    But she’s got serious mental wards guarding her thoughts ,    and Penny takes comfort in that.    And he’s kind in a genuine way ,   in a way that doesn’t    seem   like he wants much else from her.    But when the Beast starts coming after their friends ,   their peaceful quiet bubble at Brakebills bursts. 

002.    ELIOT WAUGH   +    ALISON DILAURENTIS.     + BY EXTENSION ,   MARGO.     They could have been good friend if only Margo Hanson hadn’t hated her.    Secrets are Alison’s discipline ,    and she uses that for her own purposes.   Since  she   can’t have Eliot while Margo does ,   she takes every second she has to antagonize the both of them.    Bitter rivals until the end.    

003.    TEGAN BAXTER    +    FORTY QUINN.      When a rich boy Forty lands himself in hot water ,    he winds up in trouble with a biker gang.    But that night ,   he turns for the first time and is able to get out alive.    Another wolf trails near him ,    and when they come to in the morning ,   he realizes that she’s one of them ??    Idk. 

004.     BASH BAXTER    +     BRIDGET VREELAND.     Lord help Bash Baxter.    He’d spent four years of high school crushing on a girl that was too happy ,   too lively ,   too full of potential for him.     When he encounters her in Nevada after returning from service ,   he’s not expecting it ,   and   definitely    not expecting that crush to linger around.    But when he finally gets her alone and she sinks her teeth in to him ,   he discovers that there’s a reason she doesn’t look a day over 21. 

005.     MARGO HANSON   +    LIZZIE SALTZMAN.     Lizzie Saltzman is a mess ,   and Margo finds it so amusing.     But maybe she discovers Lizzie has more potential than being just another one of her and Eliot’s little freshmen when Lizzie defeats a monster threat to Brakebills single handedly.
