Hi there!

I'm not sure if you've seen it around, but I'm looking for a piece of botw fan art.

From what I can remember, it's a short comic kind of thing where Link asks for the cycle to stop, and at the end of it there is the starred save file which eventually glitches out. I think the last part was malice and Ganon escaping from the castle while Link watches from the window of his house.

And so, the last Bad Batch Eve falls upon us.

It is surreal to think that a show that has meant so much to me for three years will come to an end. I've talked about how meaningful TBB is to me many times, and I most certainly will in the future, but I didn't want to pass on the opportunity to do it on the last Bad Batch Eve we'll officially have.

The night before Aftermath premiered, I'd struggled with some pretty bad anxiety. In the weeks following after that and throughout the first season, I dealt with depression and anxiety being diagnosed as well as an ear infection the doctor attributed to said mental illnesses. I went through a pretty bad breakup. The lockdowns were at their peak where I was. But despite that being a rough time, I also vividly remember being in my room at home, my favorite place in the world, eating my favorite food and drinking my favorite relaxing tea, hearing it rain outside, wearing my favorite hoodie and my PJs, watching/rewatching those season 1 episodes. Seeing Crosshair deal with the inhibitor chip seemed to echo some of what I was going through, i.e. having something in your head you couldn't really control. I wondered how afraid he must have felt, and I sympathized with him.

During S2, as Crosshair was off with the Empire, I was off living in my hometown the first time, away from my true home and my family, and I have to admit I was very lost during that time. I did make mistakes. I did return home, and I left it again, albeit now more ready, more prepared, more stable. But it was still a second time leaving home.

S3 Crosshair has all but solidified my intent in going back home and not freaking leaving and I really hope the day in which I can return home to my family the way he did is sooner rather than later. Seeing him grow, own up to his mistakes, forgive and be forgiven, learn to control what's in his head, and heal, feels like a very fitting peak to a journey, a journey that had and still has its ups and downs.

And let's not forget the writing and the fandom. I have written things I didn't think I'd write, things I've loved so much that part of me wants to go back in time and rewrite to experience the joy of doing it all over again (looking at Moonlight here lol). I have also made gifs, which I didn't ever imagine doing! I edited music videos and crack meme compilations, which I had wanted to do for years. Fear not, I'll keep doing all of that - slowly, yes, but not with any less love. Y'all are stuck with me. 😁🩷

And as if all I've mentioned wasn't already very valuable, I cannot forget all the beautiful, wonderful, amazing people I've met because of this show. People who I've learned from, laughed with, cried with, fangirled with, gamed with... every single one of you has been the icing on the cake, the lattice on the pie, the parmesan on the pasta. You have all truly made this worth it and make me love being in the fandom. You give what I do a greater purpose, and you have become people I am happy to call moots and friends. I've really enjoyed reading everyone's post about how much The Bad Batch has meant to them. You are all such beautiful, amazing talented people, and you've made this Fandom so special ❤️

I'm not good with words, and I could never put into words what the bad batch has meant to me. I love these characters so much! The episodes are so fun and just real quality content. Watching the entire batch learn and grow has been great. They're my comfort characters, and they've given me hope during the darkest times of my life. Not long after the first season aired, my emotional support dog died, and it was a really difficult time, but the bad batch kept me busy and looking forward. This year, my grandpa died, and yet again, the batch kept me distracted from the pain. I don't want to say this show has just kept me from sorrow because it's done so much more than that. I've talked to so many different people about it. (Wearing my bad batch shirts a lot makes a great conversation starter 😂) I'm really grateful for the friends I've made thanks to this show, and none more than @rainydaydream-gal18. She's been the best friend I've ever met! And I'm glad the bad batch brought us together ❤️

So, even though the bad batch is ending tomorrow, the effects it's had on my life and so many others will be lasting.

⚠️ content warning: active shooting/hold-up.

“Hunter, we’ll be landing on Coruscant in five minutes.” Tech swivels in his pilot chair, looking at his Sergeant.

Hunter nods. “I hope this time off will be more relaxing than last time.”

Crosshair huffs, “You hope.” His eyes look at Wrecker, as if blaming the last un-relaxing shore leave on him.

Wrecker opens his mouth to defend himself but Crosshair’s comlink beeps. The sniper is quick to exit the cockpit to answer as Wrecker chuckles with a wild grin, the topic now changed. “O-o-h! It’s his girlfriend!”

“Grow up, Wrecker.”

Upon docking the Marauder, the group leaves for a small, reclusive bar on one of the lower levels of Coruscant. Going to this cantina is not their favorite place for a drink, but it became a regular pit stop for Crosshair when he and one of the barmaids hit it off one time on a previous shore leave.

As the group of four enter the cantina, Crosshair’s eyes lock onto you immediately. He makes his way to the bar as you set down two blue milks for a pair of reg clones. You step away from them and notice the man you love walking your way.

A happy smile graces your lips as he leans on the bar and removes his toothpick to tease, “Did you miss me?”

“Shut up and come here.” You laugh, pulling him into a kiss by his chest plate.

His brothers walk up behind him, chuckling at the sight of their stand-offish brother being manhandled by you. Tech was quick to snap a holophoto to use as blackmail, should he ever need it.

You let your boyfriend go and greet the other three. “Back on shore leave?”

“You know it!” Wrecker plops into the seat next to Crosshair and the other two settle in on the other side.

“Tell me what missions you’ve gone on this time.”

The brothers retell their missions as you make their favorite drinks, asking questions and laughing at the jokes. This bunch always has something different and it's what makes them your favorite group. Your eyes move from brother to brother, depending on who’s talking, but for the most part you never stray off of Crosshair. He’s aware of this, catching your stare and playfully raises his eyebrows or winks each time.

The nightlife slowly fills the cantina and forces you to work away from the Bad Batch. Hunter glances around, seeing the growing crowd and grimaces. “Think it’s about time we leave.”

“I agree,” Tech says, already getting off the bar stool. “Let’s not repeat our last PTO.”

Tech looks over at Wrecker who frowns. “Are we still blaming me?”

“It was you who started the fight,” Tech states.

With a groan of annoyance, Wrecker finishes his drink and stands to leave, also. “You comin’, Crosshair?”

Said man gives Wrecker a knowing look and Hunter steers the large man away with a hand on his shoulder. “Come on, let’s leave them be.”

Crosshair turns back to the bar, watching you serve other patrons with a polite smile. He looks up at the large clock above all the mixers and alcohol, keeping time of when you’ll get off. This is what he always does when he visits: he comes in, talks to you and catches you up with their business, and when his brothers eventually leave he stays behind to keep an eye on you, then he walks you home and spends the night when you offer (which is always).

You come back to Crosshair after tending other guests for an hour. “I’m ready to go home.” Your voice is exhausted and you sneer as you see more people coming in.

“One more hour, sweetheart.”

You lean on the bar, putting a tired hand on his arm. “Thanks for waiting for me.”

Crosshair leans in to kiss you but your hand on his arm squeezes, making him stop. “What’s wrong?”

Before he could turn around to see what you were looking at, the cantina crowd begins shouting in terror as someone opens fire inside. Crosshair jumps from his seat and over the bar counter, bringing you down to hide behind it.

“Where’s the owner,” a hoarse voice asked after gaining the fear of everyone inside, ceasing the firing. Silence fills the cantina and heavy footsteps come further, toward the bar’s counter. “No one knows?” A light chorus of chuckles follows the question – there is more than one man. “That’s unfortunate, isn’t it.”

A single blaster shot rings out, there are horrified shouts, and a thud.

“If the owner refuses to make himself known, I won’t hesitate to shoot every last person in here. I’ll give him one minute.”

You didn’t know where to focus your attention, your eyes frantically looking everywhere. You look to your right and your fellow barmaids were huddled together, keeping their heads down. To your left, beyond the bar counter, you see a group of young men hiding underneath their table; their eyes watching the perpetrators. You hear the cantina doors close and lock, making your shoulders jump with fear.

“Hey.”

You look up at Crosshair, tears just beginning to well in your eyes. “What do we do,” you whisper.

“I’ll protect you.” He reaches for your face, tucking runaway strands of hair behind your ear. “Where is the owner?”

“Gone. He’s a coward… he probably ran out the back at the first blaster shot.”

Crosshair scowls and his eyes narrow. He positions himself to peer over the counter, counting how many targets. He sighs quietly, looking for places he could quickly throw his reflectors.

“Thirty seconds.” The sound of a gun powering up follows the man’s voice and several women gasp.

You watch your boyfriend calculate angles in his mind, seeing his hand reach into his pocket. You want to help. Looking out the side of the counter, you see the leader of this holdup. If you could stall for more time…

Crosshair touches your shoulder, making you look at him. His eyes are stern — he’s never given you this look before. He shakes his head and mouths his words: “Don’t.”

“Ten seconds!” You know he’s pointed the blaster at someone, the quivering voice pleading with the man echoing in the cantina. “Nine… eight… seven…”

The leader begins counting down the seconds and you watch Crosshair make his move.

Crosshair stands and quickly tosses two reflectors from behind the counter, all four men turning their heads to look at him. “One,” he finishes counting down for the leader and fires at one reflector. His blast ricochets methodically into the head of one crook then through the next one beside him, bouncing off the other reflector to kill the remaining two men.

There was a brief moment of silence before the customers stood up with relief. Friends and romantic partners were holding onto each other, crying with scared smiles. They were alive.

Crosshair notices you stand up and he turns to face you. Your arms extend out and he pulls you into his body, still feeling your trembling nerves. You take in a deep inhale, his scent filling your nose and bringing a sort of comfort back to your panicking mind.

“Thank you… Crosshair.”

“Did you have any doubt?” He knows the atmosphere isn’t right for teasing, but it’s in his nature.

Your lips crack into a smile and you hit his chest playfully, “Shut up.”

You cup his face and lower him to your height, kissing his lips deeply. Crosshair smirks against your lips and takes your passionate kiss further, tilting his head and getting your lips to part for his tongue.

“I’ll always protect you, YN,” he says in a whisper, amber eyes looking at you.

Your smile returns and you respond, “I love you.”

She was so distant and so close at the same time.

Impossibly possible.

Or was it the other way around?

He could never remember.

The world had moved eons from the dark, cold ice that cradled his worn body for 70 years.

Too much movement in his own opinion.

Then again there was rarely a voice in his throat to say much of whatever was on his mind.

Except when it came to her.

Anything was easier with her around.

A pain behind bones in a beating vessel, trapped in memories that didn’t come to her anymore.

Perhaps it was that jasmine perfume that night when he saw her across that dance floor.

Or maybe it was her eyes.

Maybe the way the light made her skin look radiant in ways the sun reflected off the crystals on glass chandeliers.

Maybe it was that polka dot dress she wore, the dress somehow clinging onto the glow she gave off.

“Excuse me.”

A jolt from a good, faded dream.

She wasn’t wearing her jasmine perfume, there was no dance floor, certainly no dress, and that radiance had disappeared somewhere in the years lost between them.

She walked right past him, somewhere towards the kitchen, or maybe her room where she spent most of her time in.

He couldn’t blame her.

And then she was gone.

Just like the dream, tucked away in the corners of his mind.

“Can I get a dance, doll?”

“I suppose so, Soldier.”

What a good, faded dream.

Vader senses the Anxiety of an Anxious Person

So, I was at Hollywood Studios in Disney World on July 21st, and I did some character photos with Chewie, Darth Vader, Frozone, Edna Mode. The most hilarious interaction was with Vader.

As in the title, Vader mentions he “senses high levels of anxiety” coming from me, and my immediate first thought was “that’s because I have anxiety”

And me being me, I had an absolute blast with that. Like, thinking “you sense the anxiety of an anxious person, congrats! Would you like a gold star?!” And it obviously still amuses me.

After mentioning that, he asks if I was hiding a rebel informant. I wasn’t (in fact, my brain said “Hah! I AM the rebel informant”) and that it would be a shame if they found something that would bring me back into suspicion (lol, why give the anxious person more anxiety? something else could be happening right under your nose and you’d be none the wiser, because all your efforts go to the one with anxiety.)

Sorry not sorry. This was way too much fun.
