These are the thangs I generated :] I rolled two traits for most of them. All of these guys are part of the same colony

Rowan (she/her, it/its), a slugcat mimic pup found by Rays and brought to Ipswich's colony

Hoik (they/them), one of Alsace and Ipswich's pups

Alsace (he/him), Ipswich's partner and certified himbo

Crinkle Cut (he/him, they/them), a slugcat mimic who showed up one day when he was still a nymph

Ipswich (he/him, she/her), the colony's leader

Rays of Sunset Glow (they/them), an ancient who broke the echo cycle and decided to go for a walk as a slugcat. they're also the most agender creature you have ever seen

Portobello (he/him), one of Alsace and Ipswich's pups

These are all the rolls I got for them:

Hoik: 2, 2/6, 2 (pup, aquatic, lizard frills, black)

Alsace: 4, 1/6, 6 (thin, standard, lizard frills, purple/blue)

Ipswich: 4, 4/2, 5 (thin, fluffy, aquatic, green/teal)

Rays: 1, 3/6, 3 (standard, face feelers, lizard frills, red/pink)

Portobello: 6, 2/4, 1 (long pup, aquatic, fluffy, white)

this is the Lookout (he/him, she/her)! Silly critter made by Eyes Wide Open (commissioned by MERCURY) to serve as a messenger. Because she has rot, the Lookout is able to travel through rotted areas safely :]

Genuine question from a silly anon, what are your greatest inspirations for art and what would you suggest newer artists try out? Just wanted to use my anonymity as a way to be helpful to an audience, y'know?

My greatest inspirations for art are Hollow Knight and one my favorite (probably my actual favorite but idk pretend I'm normal) artists @raintailed! Hollow Knight literally like COMPLETELY changed my art style after I discovered it. Yummy flat colored characters!!

I never really know what advice to give new artists, since we all have such different lives n stuff. Since my siblings also drew when they were younger, I got a lot of motivation from them! I was honestly jealous of how my sister drew cats 😭 so I kept drawing and drawing and uhhhhh I'm an artist now or something??? Dude idk!!! Like... Uhh... Don't give up!!! If you get bored of struggling to draw something it's ok to leave it for later I think.

It's hard for me to really give advice at all, considering I'm still really self conscious about my art and art style, and I'm even still a growing artist!! But uh... Don't give up!! Find something that can motivate you to draw more!! Like me with my siblings and characters and lore n stuff!
