Aliquaqueerplatonic

Because it doesn't already exists, here's another one of my own labels: Aliquaqueerplatonic is an a*-spec orientation in which one only feels queerplatonic attraction under certain circumstances. Aliquaqueerplatonic can be considered an umbrella term, in which identities such as demiqueerplatonic are included under it. However, aliquaqueerplatonic can also be an identity on its own. For example, some individuals may only feel attraction to a very specific type of individual, or only when in a certain place or at a certain time.

The sexual counterpart is aliquasexual. The romantic counterpart is aliquaromantic. The alterous counterpart is aliqualterous.

The flag is based on the aliquasexual and aliquaromantic ones by @genderstarbucks. The pink and yellow stripes, which are the same as in the demiqueerplatonic flag, were chosen as they represent queerplatonic attraction and to match other queerplatonic orientation/idenity flags.

Queerplatonic Relationship: A committed relationship that is primarily platonic and primarily non-romantic. The definition of "committed" is up to the individuals in the relationship, and a relationship is not a QPR unless the people in it decide to use that term. QPRs are most common in the aromantic community, and the term was coined by and for arospec people, but it isn't an exclusive term by any means. Often shortened to QPR

then people will get angry if you dont ship them romantically because then you're "being homophobic". And it's not even their fault for wanting it to be gay so you can't get angry because they're just as starved for rep as you are and they just want a relationship that looks like them in the media, and the sad sad saddest thing is its. the. same. problem.

I'm not being homophobic any more than you're being aphobic. Neither of us are the problem. It is the media's fault for not giving us rep. We should not have to fight. We are experiencing literally the same thing.

Hi, I just saw your art of the snake and the pigeon with aromantic flags, and they look amazing! I thought that a pigeon done in the colours of the queerplatonic and/or oriented aroace flag would be adorable. Did you know that pigeons mate for life and often show affection to their partner by cuddling with each other and giving them light pecks around the neck and head? They also are apparently great parents, with both males and females taking care of the young, this load is shared almost equally between the sexes. Both parents build nests, sit on eggs, and lactate (well “pseudo-lactation” technically) to feed chicks. I just thought the idea of two pigeons in a qpr would be really cute.

Sorry for the ramble about pigeons, I just really like them.
