THE RANT

this episode was a filler episode and felt glorified. he directing isn't that spectacular because it's way too fast and with zero good shots (well one, when the devil's shadow appears behind Michael).

And I know I'll receive hate and that's ok, but what the Hell?? Why is EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER FROM MH SO OUT OF CHARACTER?? I thought Tate was Tate when the episode began and ended up seeing a completely different Tate.

Tate, darling. You are evil. You shot up a school, you committed rape, you indirectly killed your gf and so on and so forth. We can use the same exact logic in every single season!!! "MARCH WASN'T BAD, IT WAS THE HOTEL THAT WAS EVIL"

Besides, let's not forget the fact Ryan Murphy, of all people, decided to give a school shooter rapist a happy ending.

Also, Billie Dean........ and Vivien.... like what happened with you two

Overall I liked the episode, it gave us more info on Michael's past and at the end of the day Tate and the other MH residents are irrelevant to the season from now on because the final fight will most likely be Michael VS anyone who isn't in MH.

I hope the next episode will be better, because this episode sort of disappointed me. It made me feel like I wasn't watching Apocalypse, but a season where the premise is to tie loose ends.

THE WHITE PRINCESS: Review

I’ve been waiting forever to made this review about the first and maybe only season of The White Princess and it’s finally time, yaay. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but I don’t think they’ll make another one, guys. Otherwise they wouldn’t have skiped seven years and God forbid that they plan doing a series about The Constant Princess, I don’t wanna see my Henry being even more murdered by this wretched “modern historians”, argh. Anyway, let’s go!

I’m gonna start saying that Emma Frost doesn’t deserve the cast of TWP. I mean... Since the first moment I was stunned by the actors talent and quality the show has, if only fallen in the right hands it could’ve been a great and historic accurate sucess. Dawn you, EF! Although most people may disagree, I like this cast best than the other one from The White Queen, especially for EoY and MB (I will never forgive what was done to her, btw). Jacob Collins-Levy and Jodie Comer, God bless you both!

Moving on... I don't have all the issue great part of the historical fans had with clothes or location. It's really hard if not impossible to things look like they did back then and I kinda liked most of the wardrobe, especially Henry's. My only complain is in the continuous repetition of clothing for Lizzie and Henry. Dear Lord, it had me distressed in the whole season. Why couldn't they just change a little bit? Okay, it was middle age and all, but... Could they just variate a little more? They were King and Queen, after all. Sometimes I just had the impression they did everything in the same day. In episode two Lizze spend months while Henry was on progress with the very same dress, it gave me the chills. Other thing that bothered me was the throne, couldn't they just match when Lizzie's were beside? In this last episode there was a scene where it matched and it was so more pleasing. If they had both thrones why go with all the trouble?

When they announced The White Princess was really coming, I didn't have any expectations bc I've read the books and it was so trash, garbish really. I would only watch for fanmade and fanservice purposes since there's so little on screen things about Henry VII and with the quality of nowadays... Almost none. Happily, they changed a lot from that excuse of a book, but with EF having the power to change SO MUCH I don’t quite understand why she go though with the rape scene (it was a rape scene), it burdens me so much to know it could be so different if she hadn’t lied about the way they filmed. It troubles me to wonder if she does think that wasn’t rape. Instead of change that, she made MB murder Jasper Tudor. Say what you will of PG, but at least she never did that, right? Despite of it, I find myself enjoying the show even if it did made me frinkle and wanting to kill EF and PG sometimes. 

There were priceless moments and I will cherish and rewatch it everyday with all of my heart. Pretty much all the scenes with little Arthur and little Harry, I loved those boys and the fact they give them a little personality, it wasn’t like they were just there. And I have so much fun with the “hints” they give about Henry VIII, lmao. They could’ve shown a little more of Margaret and MARY too! I never forgave The Tudors for “exclude” her, I will do the same to TWP. Henry and Lizzie acting lovey-dovey was soooo *heart eyes emoji*, I really loved it. Essie Davis were also a blessing, so sassy and funny. I also adored that that EoY were a lot more active as a Queen then in the books and even a little more than in real life. The scene when she goes after the army and bring it back to Henry was AMAZING!

Only that in contrast of that they changed Henry too and not in a good way, unfortunately. It made me so angry to see Henry portrayed as a useless King who did pretty much nothing during the entire series politically speaking. It was all his mother and his wife, seriously. It pained my heart because Henry VII were a very smart, cautious, able business man and King. Also, what the hell they did to Cecily? She’s not that boring mean girl even in the books, she’s so friendly to Lizzie. I hated they changed that! And they sold it as a feminist show, lol.

Alright, what really bothered me during the whole show was the Yorkist af thing. It was painful to watch and disgraceful. Henry was paranoid, yes. As he should as the first King of a new dinasty who took place after another very beloved one, but he wasn’t SO HATRED BY EVERYONE nor ALONE IN EUROPE. Some self-pity moments were exagerated and beautifully played, it made me so sad to see it and at the same time so in awe to watch Jacob acting on it. The same is worth for Maggie, my heart ached for her and poor Teddy, so I will pretend she wasn’t in the season finale’s episode. I won’t say a word about Perkin!Richard tho, I don’t have the stomach for it, sorry.

I made a list of the highlights good and bad things on show as well just to make it shorter and don’t prolongue myself even more in the subject:

Aesthetically beautiful even if there were A LOT of dark scenes when it was day, but the lack of light can be ignored with time. The change of scenes was cool for me, but the coronation scenes... It should’ve been more long at least, it were just seconds and I was so disappointed.

The cast is AMAZING, REALLY. No bad things to say about anyone, it’s perfect and highly talented. IF ONLY THEY HAD BEEN IN THE RIGHT HANDS!

Some hypocritical moments and complete change of personality got me really annoyed in some moments. Like Margaret in the last episode and Lizzie with the whole “hidden and patient” thing, it didn’t go for very long and became a lost plot.

It’s a good distraction for period dramas fans, the inaccuracy can be laughable or disgusting, but if you chose to close your eyes and pretend you’re in a nightmare and create a fanfic in your head to change that, it will do.

The kids! They were so cute and I loved every scene with them, I only regret they skipped 7 years and didn’t show anything about Elizabeth or Mary. 

They left the Henry/Catty Gordon thing open to interpretation, they should’ve done that with Perkin and instead they confirmed he was really Richard.

Jasper Tudor was a delight, I loved his scenes on episode 3 when he goes to Burgundy, the development of his character there was very nice, the end of that scene and the waste of it afterwords... Not so much.

Portrayal of Henry VII by Jacob Collins-Levy. The mix and complexity presented was just the way I imagined, he didn’t had to say a word for you to understand what was going on, his eyes talked for him. But the lack of Kingly!Henry... No, they made him weak and violent (?) in it’s place, the writers fault, of course.

Elizabeth Woodville was really fun in her quarells with Margaret, but the fact that she defied Henry in open court and nothing really happened to her was so unrealistic and dumb for a clever woman like her.

The relationship between Lizzie and Henry did save the episodes, it was the best thing of the show and Jacob and Jodie have a lot of chemistry. But even book!Lizzie said “I love you” to Henry once, and this one didn’t.

Okay, guys. I will bid my farewell here or it will be too long and boring to read, sorry. I had a really great fun watching it, fulfill the ache I had for more Tudor stuff (even if it was a Yorkist show most of the time) and period dramas. I recommend it as a good pastime and i’ll give and 7,5 for the whole tv show in general. What are your thoughts? My inbox are always open to discuss about it as well, bye!

The Ringed City trip report!

I'm no writer so I'll just bullet point some misc thoughts pretty much:

- I would've preferred if the long drop-downs was handled in another way. I always play offline since I like finding secrets myself and seeing 3 orange messages in front of a seemingly normal wall kinda gives away that it's an illusion. Since dev messages however show up no matter your online status they where quite the blaring neon signs!

- Obviously my ears perked up when Lorian got name dropped right away but then there's not a single ref to him or the Lothric royal family in rest of DLC? Why would you mention it in the first place then...I guess to refresh people's memories that he fought the Demon Prince way back when but even so it doesn't really bring anything new to the table.

I was mainly hoping for some info on the Queen of Lothric to finally get rid of the theory that she's Gwynevere but I suppose this will never go away...At least the Projected Heal miracle further hints that they’re separate people but you can easily read it both ways.

- Cute that the stone-humped hag ashes implies she was Lorian's (and/or lothric's) wetnurse tho, figures a good lad was handled by a (seemingly) good woman :3

- Not-Patches. I love Patches and his final sendoff was very cute with him gently just pushing you in the direction you needed to go anyway, but I can't help but feel like a salty smash player whining about wasted slots since he got in instead of a wholly new NPC. Also since I'm a swede I regged right away that his name was literally "patch" which kinda gave it a too cheeky On-The-Nose vibe.

- I suffered more than I should've at the hands of the swamp angel, the "parasite" form of the angels you need to kill to get rid of the flying ones looked so pitiful I wasn't sure if killing them would be a sin so I left it alone for a bit.

- Really nice that we got a lot of hot babe armor, Desert Sorceress for maximum sexy, Zullie's for Sexy But Modest, and Shira's outfit just looking lovely overall. Halflight's is also boob country if you wear it as female but it looks like cheap pirate cosplay to me. All outfits appreciated, but it would've been nice to have these options available much earlier. I mean to rush it you have to beat Friede at low level? I shudder at the thought. (Lothric's hoods mends quite nicely with Zullie's dress btw)

- While on the topic on armor I can't believe that even in the end we never got a defiled moonlight set.

- Demon Prince boss, the first half is quite manageable and the second quite hard, I'm not a fan of bosses where you have a long boring part wasting time to get to the real deal. The setup here with two seemingly sickly demons makes me wonder if they're trying to mirror twin princes but if that was the case they didn't seem to commit 100%

- I'm not sure how I feel about the Locust's talking about misc NPCs in the games, it's neat but why would they even bother mentioning someone as unimportant to the world as Irina for example? Ages has gone past.

- I LOVE the cleric turtle enemies!!! Such fun design, made me think about the dogs/spiders in Siren even though they're not quite as warped.

- The long stairway next to Shira with HOW-many-armor-fatties is plain BS. I assume the game expects you to kill them by plunging attacks since there is many ledge opportunities to do so in the area, but in the end it feels like the intention here is designed around blitzing it which is NG.

- "Show Your Humanity". I'm really salty since I actually DID realize what the game wanted here since I had tried a brance earlier trying to sneak past the bramble fatties but I didn't connect that it was standing in the actual swamp that triggered the humanity form. Used a few brances in front of the wall and didn't bother trying harder when it wouldn't cycle to the right one. It's such an unorthodox trigger for something as "important" as continuing a NPC quest, I just figured it would net me some treasure I wouldn't have use of anyway.

(Keeping Solaire alive in DS1 is also unorthodox but the way Patches waves you off makes it seem like the devs expected and wanted you to get his quest correct right away?)

But also randomly getting a ladder to drop down as a humanity sprite is just silly and too video game-y.

- Pretty odd to put a chloranthy ring as the loot on Gwyn's fancy Provide Thee Succ statue instead of something related to the story.

- Midir. I thought I had to kill this thing to progress since I was a huge tool not realizing I could just give the finger to Judicator Argo and open the door even though he told me to fuck off (please no bully I somehow didn't see any Open prompts, I guess I tried opening while he was still talking and that blocked me the first time I attempted it...???) So I butted my head against this flailing HP sponge longer than I should, the camera is a problem even when not locking on and you have to do so much running back and forth in the arena...But since he's 100% optional I don’t mind since it's nice they added something for non-scrubs unlike me to have fun with.

- Halflight, joke boss but then I most likely didn’t have an actual player spawn in. I'm not into PvP so this feature doesn't do anything for me, but fun gimmick to have an Old Monk style battle. Unfortunate that it's far into a DLC? I wonder how long it'll be active.

- Filianore is listed as Gwyn's youngest daughter (and also his favorite? Sorry 'vere.) so I guess this confirms that Yorshka isn't Gwyn's by blood (not that there was any doubt) since there's no way that waif tot can be older than Filly. Wish we got some more info on the mother/s here, it feels to me Filianore might've never even been in Anor Londo and was birthed by another mother than whoever produced the Gwyn-line series of kids.

Her room is so tiny it takes away the full awe of her sight, I wonder if this was a wise choice. In the artbook it looked much more airy and impressive.

- Gael, phase 2 is much more fun and almost easier than first (""easier"" that is, I still died over and over until I gave up and brought a friend ofc), he's just so aggressive in the start! His fancy bloodborne cape did however create the bloodborne problem of having too much parts moving around the boss making it hard to see where he was currently facing or doing.

- The fact that both he and painter constantly talked about The Dark Soul™ ruined any impact the story could've had, it's just plain silly hearing a game title repeated over and over.

In my heart I knew that none of the loose ???-lore tidbits in the main game would be brought up in the DLC but it still hurts that indeed none of them got touched upon. Yorshka's origins forever R.I.P. Overall though it was much more fun and interesting to play than AoA, so that was a treat!

Now how long will we have to wait for proper teasers about Fromsofts new projects I wonder. I'm excited to be able to play something completely fresh without constant callbacks, fanservice and conflicting lore due to there being multiple games in same series. Is just hope they don’t go too sci-fi.

WHAT? You dropped TG? Right when one of the recent chapters had an Urie/Saiko moment??? (like dude I totally understand your frustration but just, if you’re going to drop TG drop it after you read that scene- Saiko basically acknowledges that the CCG has turned into a slaughterhouse and she doesn’t want to be a part of it anymore (she says that if push comes to shove, she’ll become a terrorist and leave the CCG). Urie acts like he’s still a coldhearted jerk who only cares about the job and Saiko gets mad at him before running out of the house.

Urie goes to find her and they sit on swings at a playground together, apologizing and talking things over. Urie eventually says that if things don’t work out, they’ll just become terrorists (an echo of Saiko’s earlier words) and Saiko gives this really cute smile it’s just ughhh <3333)

OH Food Wars! I’ve heard of it ^^ I don’t like Echhi so I probably won’t watch it though (anime fanservice in general is something I don’t really like. Like, if it’s meant to be a pure fanservice series then that’s fine, I probably wouldn’t watch something like that in the first place- but when an anime/manga with a decent plot and interesting concepts decides to go and ruin all that with awkward panty shots and weird anatomy that’s just. not my thing lol).

Tatsuo is definitely a glorious bastard.

(I’m doodling him and Naomi a lot nowadays and no matter how I draw them you could never tell that they’re siblings. Naomi just looks like a sweet, average girl and Tatsuo looks like the lovechild of Greedling and Kimblee.

Also, I don’t have that much good art to show you right now, but I’ll probably be able to send some tomorrow or the day after (warning: it’s still not good, and this isn’t just me being insecure) :D)

Yep, I’m on volume two now (or was it three?) and it’s darker than it looks…it’s fun, though! I started it for Hisoka but I’m liking the main characters way more than I thought I would. Gon and Leorio are probably my favorites (Gon=the MC, sweet little boy with amazing instincts. Leorio=one of Gon’s friends, pretends that he wants to become a ‘Hunter’ just for the money but it actually goes deeper than that: his friend was ill but Leorio didn’t have enough money to pay for his treatment and the friend died. Then Leorio decided to become a doctor so he could help people like his friend, but he realized that he needed even MORE money to complete all the necessary studying/training to become a doctor. That’s his real reason for wanting to become rich.).

I just finished Volume 26 of the manga! Only one more volume to go 0.0

Scar’s development is awesome. Everyone’s development is really good (and I don’t actually dislike anybody other than the obvious ones (AKA Father)!).

Yeah, I know I should appreciate how hard mangakas work to draw/write these mangas, but I did feel the tiniest bit disappointed…we waited a month for this. But maybe it’s because there are actually a lot of 'casual’ fans who don’t know about the 2CT and Yana need to confirm it (also Yana actually might not know how popular the 2CT is? And someone who doesn’t know the 2CT could totally think that Real Ciel is a clone or something).

The one new-ish thing that I learned from this chapter is that it’s getting harder to trust Tanaka XD

But yeah, the art improvement is amazing! Kuro had great detail from the very first chapter but now, I could just stare at some of the panels for hours.

True, true, if you used a transmutation circle like Roy’s glove to change the concentration of the air around the target, you could make it quite lethal. 

I can see him stumbling on to you playing the piano at some point and just staying silent, because he knows how easily nervous you get and he honestly loves how peaceful you are at that moment. Probably makes a subtle comment later, so he doesn’t fluster you too much.  And then a certain water alchemist comes and starts blabbering about random gibberish, coaxing you out of your shell and he happens to come into the room (totally not because someone told him to come) and is like ????? because at this point he was convinced you’re shy around everyone. From that day on, he makes it a point to try and get close to you.

Mei is adorable! Her perception of Ed in the beginning is one of the best parts of the whole show. Just, wow.
