STAR GIRL I CANT OMG😭 (it's Starlight )

So Starlight is 100% dating Hughie while yes she also was forced to date Homelander for the public eye until (I think it's been a while) episode 6, herogasam, MM (mothers milk he's a character btw) filmed her do an Instagram livestream where she exposes Home boy and quits her jop as hero in Vought (i don't really know how to explain it)

So Soldier Boy and Homelander fight cause Soldier boy also wanted to kill Ryan (the kid from Becca {Butcher's wife} and Homelander, since he r@ped her while she was working at Vought, later in season 2 Ryan accidentally kills her, wanting to protect her from Stormfront (a nazi bitch who used to be with SoldierBoy during WW2 {Kinda fucked up} and was dating Homelander {also fucked up}), by using his lasers) so now Homelander is mad because he thought that he could have that American family typ of shit since he found out that Soldier Boy was his father. Soldier boy still gets thrown out the tower of Vought from Queen Mave (the red head hero from Vought who didn't appear in season 4, not firecracker) where it was also believed she die in but she just had a few injuries and went to live with her girlfriend (the gf is not a supe and only is like in 5 episode) on the Countryside where Homelander could never bother them ever again. ( SPOILER THIS WHOLE THING HERE IS A SPOILER: IN THE END OF SEASON 4 AFTER THE POST CREDIT SCEAN HOMELANDER IS SEEN WALKING IN A LAP OF VOUGHT WHERE A TUP IS AND THEN HE SAYS "SO THATS WHERE YOU BEEN {DAD??[NO CLUE IF HE SAID DAD OR NOT]}" AND THEN IT SHOWS SOLDIER BOY SLEEPING IN IT )

And yeah the supes have their own movies where they basically just lie about they life to make themselves look good cause spoiler alert they are not good people and Butcher and his crew know that so they try to take down every supe, mostly Homelander cause he r@ped Butcher wife and got lied to by Vought that she just died or went missing when then Grace? (I think was her name) showed up and showed him a security footage where both Becca and Homelander walk in a room and stay in to from 2+ hours before Becca walked out completely discomfort and her whole make-up messed up

As far as backstories…

I know Soldier Boy had a crappy dad and that he got kidnapped and none of his teammates came for him, and that redhead chick that he loved hated him. I also know he was a horrible dude and he beat up…that guy who sees cartoon characters (I’m so sorry I forgot his name 😅)

And I remember Billy had an abusive father and…his brother died? After Billy left him alone with the dad? I think?

And honestly that’s about it, I mostly watched for Jensen so I don’t remember a lot of it besides him 😅. But I did end up really liking Billy Butcher

9 - reliable

Gonna have to go with Mave on this one. She's sort of in the background, but everyone relies on her and she's really good at it. She assists and has raised Alara in regards to queen duties, has help guided Trance on her journey to become an Affinity Master, and everyone tends to go to her for advice. Everyone trusts her.

11 - logical

Astor. It's part of his job to be logical and fair. He even actively practices not showing emotion and has a great poker face. It's what makes him a consistently fair judge. He actually has fight with the king about how illogical some of his requests are, because then he'll have to follow through with it despite it going against his sound reasoning. XD

19 - confident

I was going back and forth as to whether or not this fits Stag, because while he's super confident in anything he tries, he's not actually confident about himself as a person. Sure, he's confident he's the best swordsman, great at picking people up, but not so confident that he's worth a real relationship, romantic or otherwise. And he never really crosses the line into being arrogant. Still, I think it might be Stag. (But I'm not really confident there, am I? XD)

27 - anxious

I initially thought Deshi, but thinking on it more, I think this belongs to Gerit. Especially around people. While most of the time he's relatively isolated, he gets anxious around any strangers and large groups of people. To those who don't know, Gerit is extremely neurodivergent due to trauma, and part of that trauma has trained him to be quick and unseen, so being seen by anyone he doesn't intend to be seen by causes a lot of anxiety. Not to mention he tends to not communicate, so attempts to calm him down unless it's someone he knows and trusts don't really work. :/

40 - spontaneous

This one's gonna have to go to Stag. In order to avoid sitting down and thinking about things, he'll often make last second decisions in the moment about what to do, and they vary from pranking the night guards to climbing the outside of the castle to watch the sunrise. Yeah, I think he takes the cake on spontaneity. ^^

Tldr: Good song and MV. Graphics are nice but somewhat disappointed at how safe it is.

Firstly I quite like the fact that the group is only four members because if it got bigger than that I don't think that it would have any good chance at lasting because of the costs of the cg.

I've only listened to the song once whilst I watched the MV and it is in my head already. That being said I'm a bit disappointed, let me elaborate.

So even from the promotional pictures, mainly the box of Pandora's box was very aespa-esque. Which is fine, kpop is notorious for 'heavy' inspiration to put it politely so it didn't bother me but it did set the tone of what to aexpect (yes lame pun lol). For example Aespa's ae versions look like cheaper LoL K/DA models, which is jarring at times but because they aren't all of aespa it doesn't have a negative impact. Btw not saying I hate ae's, I especially love Naevis, but as I've mentioned (I think) before, I wish they had a different art direction.

I will say MAVE'S models are a lot better in every way which is refreshing. Kind of like Saejin from SUPERKIND but though his model is good it's also quite static. Then again they are a smaller company so it's understandable but overall I'm happy with the graphics.

My personal taste wishes that they looked more fantastical. Maybe bigger eyes, coloured hair and that high fantasy goes into the music too which I'll get into later. The reason why I wish it was more OTT, is because I'm extra but mainly because it can come across as a gimmick. Like they're just non tired robots doing the same thing as real people can do but are limited by their coding. Like just do the same MV but with a green screen and it might even be cooler with real people.

Anyway I don't have an issue with AI. I know the waters are muddy but I'm a gamer, and every year graphics get closer to looking human. Which is fascinating and terrifying.

But for me as long as you can tell its not real like I guess with more anime styles and etc look I'm quite happy. I think if they also had a less human look it would give more immersion to them in the fact that in 5-10 years they could look dated and not in a good way. Like with any experimental media you either have aged well or poorly. Only media with a uniqueness or charm can both be aged well and poorly at the same time. Like cult and campy content.

Now onto the song. I do like it because well it's in my head after one listen and I've been typing this just after I watched the MV! But as I've said (in a way) it's just okay. Like when I hear 'New GG AI' my mind gets excited for the future. This MV was very much now future. So it's cool and pretty but yawningly safe.

Rather than an aespa, K/DA combo, I'd have loved a Dreamcatcher, LOONA, onlyoneof combo. Dystopian, high fantasy and allure.

Still for a debut it was good even though the down dance move was way too close to black mamba for my liking. And that's the only issue I have. Like yeah of course with everything art/dance moves are not only for one group or person but you can tell when it's ahem 'heavily inspired'.

I'd also love if they grow a stronger identity than just mix of aespa and K/DA. Like K/DA is great because its has Queen Soyeon and Miyeon with other great artists and a world already built to steer their vision and on Aespa's side they have a growing world with trained idols that bring that excitement to the real stage. Both have amazing music. Mave needs to get a signature visual and sound to push them into a truly innovate group.

Still if the company can keep up with the graphics, music and potential world building if any I'm interested. As long as its not we are being hacked by a giant spider or something and buy 'our bit coins for photocards' or some nonsense haha.

Lastly if they could keep the majority or merch online that would be awesome and hopefully they are paying the voices behind the members a good salary. The cg idols wouldn't be alive without their human voices after all.

WBW Part 3: Notte Tranquilla

  Cipher inhaled shakily, followed by a choked sob. "No, damn, focus. Focus." They rasped, pressing a palm over their racing heart, frantically scanning the area for hostiles. Their breathing became ragged, panic threatening to take over, sending them collapsing against the dirt walls. They cursed, curling themselves into the corner, and pulled out their laptop- containing everything they were going to work on at Maven's place- nearly dropping it on the ground. Their hands shook, and it took all their willpower not to falter. They set their hands on the keyboard, closing their eyes, as they took in deep breaths to calm themselves down. Blinking once more, the sharpness of their grey eyes was back, with a steely resolve behind them. Pulling out the program, they initiated the revenge. 

  The sound of muffled coughing jostled Solstice back into consciousness. Slowly sitting up, they noticed the source of the noise… "Don't-" Cipher started, between labored breaths. That made Solstice's eyes widen in alarm. Rushing to their friend's side, they grabbed at their shoulder. "Si. Stop blaming yourself. Don't protest. I-" They shed off their lab coat, setting it over their friend's shivering form. "You killed their system, right?" A weak nod was given, and Solstice nodded back. "Good. I'm going to get her back, okay? You stay here and watch the systems for me. I can protect myself." A longer stare, then the hacker nodded again. [Godspeed, Shawn.] They signed, calming down a little. Solstice grinned back and set off into the dimly lit alleyways. 

  "You really think I'd believe you, eh?" Maven laughed, a harsh sound echoing in the cell. The wire sank further into her wrists, but it only fueled her anger. "Me. I'm the Mastermind, or so you thought, right? Ever known why?" She continued on, spitting the words right into the interrogator's face. "Your Queen is powerless. You can restrain our body, but not what we think-" The cold kiss of steel whispered past her neck, yet she wasn't intimidated. "Pathetic. Trying to tell a gal her friends turned against her or got themselves killed. You don't know it's going to be your last words." Suddenly, the lights went out, cell doors slid open, and the horror on the interrogator's face was engraved in her mind. "Mave, we gotta act quickly. Si told me a shift will start in 10 minutes." Solstice's carefully controlled words came from behind, as Maven felt the cords binding her wrists snap under a bolt cutter. As she stood up, she couldn't help but notice the taser on her friend's belt, and various tools that usually belonged to… "They're fine." The grimace is clear in their voice, but they shook it off. Solstice shone a flashlight at the camera on the wall, and the emergency lights flicked back on. The duo ran down the hallway, twisting and weaving along the alleyways, disappearing into the night. 

  The two entered an ordinary inn, with Solstice all but hauling Maven up the stairs. The room door creaked open. It's Cipher, half-leaning against the knob, silently holding out a first-aid kit they scavenged. Solstice grabbed it, giving Cipher a clap on the shoulder, and started treating the fixer's wounds. Solstice leaned back on the bed when they were done, Maven idly picked at the fresh bandages, and Cipher collapsed by the door, head drooping in exhaustion. Not a word was exchanged. 

  Maven looked over to where Cipher was. The candlelight seemed to reflect off their… Damn. Is the stoic one in their group…crying? Maven edged closer to Cipher, ignoring their subtle noise of disapproval, and hugged them close, murmuring reassurances. "No matter what… we are family now. And we all have each other's backs." She smiled, as Cipher relaxed against her embrace. 

  The sun rose, casting a blanket of gold over everything it touched. The scene of three friends piled on top of each other, peacefully in sleep, glittered softly under the morning light.
