Bajaj Pulsar 150: All You Need to Know
The Bajaj Pulsar is one of the most popular commuter bikes in India. There are seven models in Bajaj's Pulsar domain. Those include, in ascending order: Bajaj Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180, Pulsar 220F, Pulsar 135 LS, NS 160, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, and Bajaj Pulsar RS 200.
Interestingly, the Pulsar brand made the Bajaj brand a pioneer in making motorcycles.
Tumblr media
Apart from that, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 remains one of the bestselling models in the country. So, what factors contributed to making the bike a bestseller? Let's find that out.
Bajaj Pulsar 150: Exterior
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 bike's exterior has striking looks with its sharp and edgy design elements that have attracted youth. The bike retains the Pulsar DNA design, and one can't mistakenly identify it with any other bike on the market. It features a bikini fairing cowl around the halogen headlamp unit. Besides that, the raked windscreen and muscular fuel tank with edgy tank shrouds make the Pulsar 150 a stunning-looking bike. Apart from that, the bike's tail has a sharp edge with integrated LED tail-lights. Beneath that, it gets a dual-tone exhaust muffler and alloy wheels. Furthermore, the Pulsar 150 gets dual-tone colour options. Overall, the bike has an elevated sense of design.
Bajaj Pulsar 150: Features
Bajaj bikes are well-known for providing a fair number of features. The Bajaj Pulsar 150's features include a clip-on handlebar, a semi-digital instrument cluster, an engine kill switch, tubeless tyres, a DC headlamp unit, self-cancelling turn indicators, and backlit controls, to name a few. However, at the same time, it also has alloy wheels, a disc brake, and an electric start that are standard. Some of the Pulsar 150's rivals lack these standard features, but they were kept optional.
Bajaj Pulsar 150: Powertrain
The Bajaj Pulsar is a bike that has a decent amount of power. For those who want to kickstart their dreams of owning a bike on a budget, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 could be an ideal option. However, it can be safe to say that the Pulsar 150 is an entry-level performance bike with respect to the Indian two-wheeler market. The success of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 is all thanks to the first-gen's healthy power output, and that is carried forward in the ongoing model. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 specifications include a 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with an output of 13.8bhp and 13.25Nm of peak torque. It gets DTS-i technology that makes the bike more fuel-efficient. As claimed by the bikemaker, the mileage of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 is 65kmpl. That makes it one of the most fuel-efficient bikes in India.
As for the transmission, it is available with a five-speed constant mesh gearbox.
The BS6-compliance of the Pulsar 150's twin discs weighs 148 kg, which is 4 kg heavier than the BS4's 144 kg. Apart from that, the bike also gets a single-channel ABS in its variants.
Bajaj Pulsar 150: Prices and Variants
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 price starts at Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base model, the Neon BS6 variant. It goes up to Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top model, the Twin Disc BS6 variant.  So, above were a few tit-bits about the bike. It is long overdue for the bike to receive a complete makeover. If you are looking for a Pulsar 150 successor, check out the curated list of upcoming bikes in India. Apart from the Bajaj 150, you can also apply filters and set your budget accordingly.

TVS Apache RTR 160 Latest News:-
New 2018 TVS Apache RTR 160 Launched
It has been a long time coming, but it is finally here. TVS has now launched the new-generation Apache RTR 160 to compete Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Hornet and the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160.
Since the time of its launch almost a decade back, TVS hasn’t quite updated the Apache RTR 160. With premium commuters now graduating to the 160cc category, it would have been hard for TVS to ignore the segment for long. The company has now introduced the new-generation RTR 160 at Rs. 81,490 (carburetted version) and Rs. 89,990 (FI version) (ex-showroom Delhi). This new model demands about Rs. 3000 more than its predecessor. Fuel injection wasn’t offered on the outgoing model,  in fact, even today, no other manufacturer offers it in this class.
TVS Apache RTR 160 and 180 get a matte red colour option
Both these colour variants are priced marginally higher than their respective standard models
It seems like offering matte colour options has become a trend in the two-wheeler market. Just a few months back, Suzuki and Bajaj brought in matte colour options for the Access 125 and the Dominar respectively. Now, TVS has introduced a matte red option for the popular Apache RTR 160 as well as the RTR 180. The Hosur-based company has priced them at Rs 77,865 and Rs 81,833 respectively. This essentially means that the matte red option of both these motorcycles is Rs 1000 more than the standard colour trims.
New TVS Apache RTR 160 launch on March 14
The refreshed TVS Apache RTR 160 will take design inspiration from its bigger sibling, the Apache RTR 200 4v..
After launching the Apache RR 310 and the NTorq 125, TVS seems to be on a roll these days. The company is not showing any signs of slowing down, as it’ll continue its offensive with the launch of another new product on March 14, 2018. As of now, TVS hasn’t divulged details of the upcoming two-wheeler, but it’s very likely going to be the new Apache RTR 160.
Over the past few months, the refreshed version of the RTR 160 has been spied upon being tested on public roads.

In addition to this, the 2018 Pulsar 150 comes with split seat along with a split grab rail. The current spec model comes with a single bench layout.
Also, the footpeg in the Pulsar 150 is now aluminium finished in comparison to the current chrome one. Furthermore, the pedals too look considerable premium than before. Bajaj Avenger 180 cruiser motorcycle prices leaked; Bookings open
New Post has been published on https://www.autohubindia.com/bajaj-avenger-180-cruiser-motorcycle-prices-leaked-bookings-open/
Bajaj Avenger 180 cruiser motorcycle prices leaked; Bookings open
Prices of the upcoming Bajaj Avenger 180 cruiser motorcycle have leaked. Prices start from Rs. 83,400 (ex-showroom, Mumbai), making the new bike about Rs. 10,000 cheaper than the bigger-engined Avenger 220. Bookings are open at Bajaj dealerships, and deliveries will begin from the end of February, or early March. The Avenger 180 slots in between the 150cc and 220cc models, and is expected to present itself as a value-priced alternative to the recently launched Suzuki Intruder 150.
The bike will borrow its 180cc, four stroke engine from the Pulsar 180 DTSi. On the Pulsar, this engine makes 17 Bhp-14.2 Nm, and is paired to a 5 speed manual gearbox. On the Avenger 180, the engine could benefit from tweaked gearing for better low end and mid range performance. The engine is carbureted and there’s no fuel injection on offer, even as an option. There may be slight changes in power and torque outputs as well.
Design-wise, the Avenger 180 is styled similarly to the 2018 Avenger Street 220. This means blacked out engine and cycle parts, alloy wheels, a cowl around the headlamp, matte black finish for the exhaust, a new seat and a new grab-rail – all stuff borrowed from the bigger engined model.  A key change on the Avenger 180 is that it doesn’t have the digital instrument cluster offered with the Street 220.
Instead, an analog instrument cluster would be offered. The cruiser gets similar cycle parts such as telescopic front forks at the front and twin, gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. There is a disc brake at front and the rear wheel gets a drum brake. No ABS is offered for now but by 2019 April, Bajaj will have to offer at least a single-channel ABS unit on this bike to comply with the Indian government’s new two wheeler safety norms.
