Please let Natalie have close relationships with other female characters in Season 3‼️‼️

Nat is arguably the only character that does not have any close female friendships in the show. She’s close with Travis, Coach Ben, and Kevyn (and that ginger guy from the pilot episode, Rich?); all male characters. I get that she is likely more distrusting of other women because of her strained, neglectful relationship with her mother and she seeks out more male attention/validation because of her abusive relationship with her father. And I get that she is subconsciously pursuing toxic relationships/friendships with men because that is what is familiar to her due to her father (codependency and mistreatment with Travis and becoming involved with Kevyn even though she is in a very emotionally vulnerable state and clearly not ready for it).

But now that Natalie has been in the wilderness in a matriarchal dynamic for quite some time in the teen timeline, I want to see her slowly begin to embrace femininity and connection with women (no, I don’t mean she has to dress and act “girlie” because that is not what femininity is).

So far, her relationships with the other girls have been marked with hostility and competition. Nat argues with Taissa over freezing out Allie, she fights with Jackie about Travis, she competes with Lottie over the Wilderness and the direction the group is heading in, she expresses general disdain for Misty (with some occasional affectionate moments), and now she’s presumably going to have conflict with Shauna over leadership. Natalie clashes with the group and isolates herself just as the girls begin to embrace a matriarchal system led by Lottie, where shared rituals and communal female bonds take center stage. I love toxic yuri don’t get me wrong, but I would love to see Nat lean into this female community a bit more.

We get Taissa and Shauna, Shauna and Jackie, Misty and Crystal, Lottie and Laura Lee, Melissa and Gen, Taissa and Van (although that’s definitely a lot more than a friendship). Where’s Nat’s female bond??

I want Nat to find safety, vulnerability, and nurturance with women! I want her to distance herself from male validation and find female connection! Even if it’s just in the wilderness and then, when she is rescued returns to a patriarchal society where her father wound will inevitably reopen, she will return to her old ways.

My hopes of Nat connecting on a deeper level with the other women on this show is fading rapidly with these new Season 3 promos. I think isolation will continue to be Nat’s crutch and her conflicts with the other female leads will only increase. But a girl can hope. And I hope for Nat having at least one connection to another woman that isn’t contentious. Is that too much to ask?

Merle Oberon (Wuthering Heights, The Scarlet Pimpernel)—She was mixed race (born in India and her mother was Sri Lankan) and still managed to make it in the British and American film industries (by passing) despite a rough start in life and industry racism. She was the first Asian person to be nominated for any Academy Award (best actress in 1935)! She also survived a car accident in 1937 and kept on acting until 1973, despite potentially career-ending facial scars. Also, she met her third husband while they were filming a movie together in 1973 (her last movie and she still looks great!). They fell in love and got married in 1975 when she was 62 and he was 36. She died 4 years later in 1979. Iconic.

Jean Seberg (Breathless, Saint Joan)— Some of us watched À bout de souffle as a lil French undergrad and had the trajectory of our lives changed by Jean Seberg. She IS French new wave!! She is the moment!! She sadly had to work with a lot of shitty directors in her career but even so, she has this magnetic energy whenever she’s on screen. In her personal life, she was also very supportive of civil rights causes, and was even targeted/harassed by the FBI for financially supporting the Black Panther Party.

On the "Choose a Side" Discourse

With HBO leaning veryyyy heavily into "pick a side" for their promos, the "no team" people are crawling out of the woodwork. I want to preface this post by saying that I'm not saying people shouldn't have favorite characters who aren't mine, nor that people should just be totally invested in fandom discourse.

I already made a post about the issues with the arguments of the "no team" people, so I'll just summarize my thoughts from that real quick. A majority of their arguments and metas are thinly veiled anti Rhaenyra thoughts. That's still true of this new wave of this group.

Now, one thing I will agree with them on is: GRRM did not write this story to be one of choose a side. However, that is not because the Blacks and the Greens are equally bad or the Targaryens are all evil. No, it's because the Greens were always in the wrong and GRRM makes this abundantly clear to us in F&B.

Let's look at some facts from the Dance. While male primogeniture is tradition, it's not the law; the king's word is law, something ASOIAF has established time and again. The Greens took the throne through underhanded ways. They left Viserys' body to rot for days while they prepared for Aegon's coronation to prevent Rhaenyra from learning and coming to KL. They forced the smallfolk to attend and most didn't cheer for Aegon, with some even calling for Rhaenyra while most were confused and angry.

Aemond drew first blood by killing the unarmed thirteen year old envoy, Lucerys Velaryon. A majority of the realm declared for Rhaenyra; 53 houses supported her, while only 28 supported Aegon. The Greens committed the greatest atrocities of the Dance: Aemond burning the Riverlands and Daeron massacring Tumbleton. They also committed the greater number of atrocities.

The Greens also lost the war. The Blacks weren't just fighting for Rhaenyra, they fought for her heirs as well. This is why they swore to her and Jacaerys; later for Aegon III after the deaths of his older brothers. The Black forces continued to fight after Rhaenyra's murder and took KL. Aegon was murdered by his own men when the Blacks were marching on KL; in other words, the Greens knew they were beat, so they killed Aegon in an attempt to save themselves. Since Aegon left no heirs aside from Jaehaera, Aegon III was crowned and married to Jaehaera. The Blacks won the war.

Aegon the Usurper's bloodline is destroyed with the deaths of Jaehaera and Gaemon Palehair. This is the final affirmation of the Greens being in the wrong. GRRM's books punish usurpers by wiping out their bloodlines; Maegor and Robert Baratheon being the most obvious examples. Aegon and all the Greens have no descendants, their bloodline is dead.

Rhaenyra's bloodline, on the other hand, continues all the way through to the main series. Daenerys Targaryen, the most powerful character in the series, is her descendant, as is Jon Snow (unconfirmed as of now in the books) who is another of the key five. Rhaenyra may have died, but her faction won the war and her bloodline will save the world through her two greatest descendants (alongside the rest of the key five).

The Dance of the Dragons is, ultimately, a story of the damage the patriarchy does and how misogyny is destructive to the world. The Dance caused the death of the dragons and a great loss of power for women in the realm. Queen consorts after Rhaenyra had markedly less power and there was a drop in female leaders of the great houses. The loss of the dragons caused the weakening of magic in the world as a whole.

The Dance isn't about who your favorite war criminal is, nor is it about the evil of the Targaryens. It's about misogyny; something HOTD seems to have forgotten. Even before they started pushing TB vs TG so hard, they still missed the point.

It doesn't matter that Rhaenyra isn't a perfect, or even a good, person. It doesn't matter that Rhaenyra is non-conforming, plays the political game, and exploits her father's favor. Rhaenyra could have been as pious and well-behaved as Naerys and the Greens still would have usurped her. Rhaenyra could have had children with Laenor, and still the Greens would have usurped her. HOTD tries to paint the usurpation as partially being on Rhaenyra and her choices, but nothing Rhaenyra could have done would have been good enough.

The Blacks are the protagonists of the Dance. Are they perfect? No. Are they heroes? No. GRRM loves his gray characters, the Blacks are no exception. If you people want a story with black and white morality and perfect protagonists, go read another book. Just because people aren't perfect and don't operate exclusively in what's right according to our modern standards doesn't mean they aren't the protagonists.

In conclusion: there isn't a TB vs TG discourse in the Dance because the Greens are the antagonists and completely in the wrong. The point of the Dance is that the misogyny of the Greens damaged the realm. Rhaenyra is the rightful queen, there is no actual argument for Aegon or any of his allies.

Rhaenyra is the rightful queen to Westeros, go cry to George if you don't like it.

Sing Timeline

After awhile of trying to figure out realistically in what order all the Sing materials occur just due to the events we see in certain promo material as well as shorts, I believe to have a current working timeline of everything that is likely canon to the story.

I did have rules on what materials could be included which were:

Only things that visibly included the Sing Cast could count to the timeline.

Clear ads or real world product promotion does not count.

No crossovers, no matter how fun.

This is only my personal theory so feel free to disagree but it is as follows:

Sing for the Gold

This comes first as it just shows different talent show auditionees all enjoying music and singing without really revealing much about them or the plot. But! Still all canon sing characters.

Sing 1/Eddies Life Coach

In Sing 1, Eddie mentions that his mom has him meeting with a life coach to figure out his true purpose. That could very well be Gary, as it seems to follow his training mindset, and explain why Eddie is so infrequently appearing in the middle of the movie.

Gunter Babysits

Considering how this shows Gunter and Rosita as friends, as well as Norman and Rosita going out for the night (potentially even working on their relationship by doing so), it would make sense that this happens soon after Sing 1.

Animal Attraction

Darius had already won awards by the time he was cast in Out Of This World, something that he brags about to his new castmates. This would allow him to gain that notoriety that Buster was talking about as well as be likely new in the job market when OOTW begins casting.

Love at First Sight

Just due to the nature of the short (being about romance), I typically place it around Valentine's Day as that's also when people typically start really wanting romance much more vocally. This also would explain why Johnny's clothes are still from Sing 1, as his family would still be in jail and likely still aren't having much money/are there to give him new hand-me-downs.

Sing 2

I typically see this as a little over to exactly a year after the first movie timeline wise just due to Calatonia weather being very similar and that would also have likely been about the amount of prison time the gang would have served.

For Gunter’s Eyes Only

The only reason that this is not overlapping with Sing 2 is purely how busy the cast was during the entire movie. Slipping out even for one night for a show doesn't really make sense.

It’s Showtime

The stage area that the cast is in looks different from Crystal Theatre, leading me to believe it is likely the Majestic, though I am curious on why Johnny was all the way across town.

Sing: Thriller

Judging by the Halloween Party, this is seemingly set on Halloween, so the cast likely took a night or two off from Out Of This World to do a specialty performance back home.

Happy Holidays from Sing

Now, I know this was promo for the first movie. However, since Johnny can dance in this and the group seems really comfortable with each other, I'm placing it as after them having known each other for at least a year and Johnny going through dance lessons.

Come Home

Come Home mentions that they watch the "Moon Theatre Holiday Special" every year and the kids know the cast by name. Judging by how the kids seem young, likely around five or six years old, for this to have been a tradition, it probably would have started four or three years before. So this is actually likely a fair bit after both movies.

You and The Judgment Day had grown closer as you began wrestler. Damian and Rhea , training you and teaching you new moves that hadnt yet been introduced to you. And although you were a couple years younger than the youngest member of, which was Dominik, you all had a family/sibling dynamic.

You had started yiur wresting career at the 2019 royal rumble , being competiter #15. Although not many people knew you at the time , your career had grown throughout the years. And with the help of The Judgment Day, a fandom grew lager and larger until eventually you got your title shot. 

It was you versus becky lynch for the smackdown women’s championship. You had fought hard and long to get the title shot as none of the other wrestlers made it easier for you. Becky didnt go easy on you either. But image the suprise when you had pinned her, making you the new smack down women’s champion.

Your rise also grew more in 2023. At first not many paid attention to you as far as visuals and talent. But soon enough people started noticing the talent you had not only for promos , but in the ring. This made you a fan favorite around the world. Soon your merch was selling out. You started meeting many fans around the world as you Traveled, and people started recognizing you more and more as time went on. You felt like you were on top of earth. This was your dream after all.

Right now , you were getting ready to go out to a restaurant with The Judgment Day. After all , they are your best friends. You heard the doorbell ring , as you put on the last piece of jewelry for your outfit. You quickly headed downstairs , grabbing your phone and keys as you unlocked the door, met with Dominik , standing outside the door waiting for you. You quickly gave him a hug as he opened his mouth to speak. 

“Hey , you ready?” He asked

“Yup let’s go,” you replied with a smile.

You opened the door of the truck as you were met with the faces of the 3 wrestlers. 

“Hi guys!” You smiled at them.

They all responded with a “hi” as they all gave you separate hugs. Which was hard due to being in the car , but you made it work. Finn drove as you,  Dominik and Damian , and Rhea played game pigeon together in the group chat.

When you guys arrived at the restaurant, the wait hadn’t been long , as a couple minutes of waiting, a waiter had seat you guys at a booth nearby. As you all sat down , a waited came by , introducing themselves and taking our drink orders. After a couple minutes of waiting , the waited came back  with drinks on a trey. We decided on what to order as the waiter took our order.

After ordering , I decided to go wash my hands in the bathroom. As I walked to the bathroom , you didn’t notice a man following nearby. And when you did you hadn’t thought much about it. Maybe he had to go to the bathroom too , you thought. But your thoughts were rushed away when he had followed you into the girls bathroom. Which didn’t go unnoticed by Rhea , as she sat at a good enough view of the bathroom , that she could see the man getting into the bathroom. 

Before you could turn around to see the man, he spoke first.

“Hey , im a big fan I was wondering if I could have an autograph, or maybe your number,” he spoke

You turned to look at the man and realized he was old. I mean he looked like he was in his 60s at-least.

“I can give you an autograph — but not my num-,” I was cut off when he slammed me into a wall. I felt the pain hit my back as I tried getting up , with no luck. 

“Just give me your number its not that hard,” he yelled at you. You wished this could end , why was he doing this and how were you going to get out of this? You could stand , and he was towering over you.

You heard the mans scream as a loud thump echoed in the bathroom. You looked up , your hair mostly in your face as you saw the silhouette of someone. You moved your hair out of your face as you relished it was Rhea. 

“Honey , are you alright,” She spoke. You could she was panicking just by the sound of her breathing.

“I-I cant get up..” you spoke. Still shocked by the events that had occurred in just an hour of being here. Rheas mind stopped for a moment. She wanted to kill this guy. But she knew you and your safety was more important.

“I want to leave Rhea … p-please,” You said again. You felt the tears pricking your eyes as your breathing got heavier. The atmosphere of the bathroom making you feel scared thinking about what took place.

Rhea car-fully picked you up , bridal style as she led you over to the boys. Once they got a view of you and Rhea, they had felt like it had been a punch to their heart. They stopped their conversation as they went to stand up , getting a better look at you.

“Lass what happened?” Finna spoke. He was getting more worried by the second and to be completely honest, so was the rest of the group.

Tried answering, but nothing could come out your mother but silent sobs. Rhea explained what happened, but about halfway though, you had already passed out in Rheas arms.

imagine this with me. bathena have a housewarming barbeque party when they move into the new house. this is before mavi get together. the entire firefam is there, everyone but karen and mara. they had to stay home cause mara caught a stomach bug (poor thing🥺), and karen insists that hen and denny go without them. the party runs late, there’s so much to celebrate after all; bobby’s miraculous return to life, bathena moving into their new home, chim surviving his latest nde and hen surviving her first, eddie and chris returning home and buddie finally getting their shit together, buck and athena saving the world from super ebola, ravi avoiding terrorism charges (they’re the unluckiest/luckiest family in the greater los angeles area).

the thing is, may has other plans that night. it’s saturday night and our girl's going out dancing. her and ravi are mid conversation when her girlypop group chat starts going off.

ravi buys her a drink when they get in. she protests at first but he wants to thank her for not stranding him with the olds (buck would definitely feel a way about being called an old by someone who’s less than 10 years his junior). they find their way to the dancefloor and before long ravi has his arm around her waist. by this point, most of the nerves have dissipated, they’ve been replaced by an anticipatory energy. it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of how and when. may’s only had the one drink that ravi bought her so she’s sober, and responsible, enough to text her mother to say that she’s not coming home that night.

Dallas Winston and his Love for Baseball

In his early days, Dallas was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers. He is from Brooklyn and lived on Flatbush Avenue among various other neighborhoods.

He lived in a public housing unit till he was twelve. In this housing unit, he was able to meet and play with many other boys.

They would go outside and play baseball in the courtyard of the apartment building.

Dallas always had to play 1st baseman and was a good hitter. He loved to play.

This particular group of boys he was involved in were known to play all the time. They could often be found playing in the dead of New York winters.

This is where Dallas's father found an issue with it. After days spent playing in the snow, rain, and mud Dallas would come in soaking wet and tracking mud into the apartment. His dad did not like this at all and would often take it out on him.

Growing up in Brooklyn, he was a fan of the Dodgers and an avid Jackie Robinson fan. This was one thing that he and his father agreed on.

Though Jackie Robinson was a little before Dallas's time (he would have been eight when Jackie quit playing for the Dodgers), he still had regarded Robinson with a lot of hero worship. He even went so far as to write Jackie's number on all the ends of his sneakers. He thought it made him run faster.

Then in 1958, the Dodgers move to LA. This upsets Dallas and it's two years before he even considers being a Yankees fan. To this day, Dallas will get upset if you bring up the Dodgers moving to LA. He considers it the biggest betrayal of his childhood.

Dallas was close friends with the kid who liked to play catcher. His name was Louis and he was called Lou for short. He lived across the hall and they would hang out together all the time.

Later, needing a new team to root for they decide to become Yankees fans. It was either that or be Mets fans.

For some background, the Mets are based in Queens while the Yankees are based in the Bronx. Dallas (and most other kids in his neighborhood in Brooklyn) hate Queens. In the 1960s, Queens is a predominantly rich white borough with over 91% of the population being white. They also have the second lowest African American population out of any of the boroughs while Brooklyn has the highest African American population in 1960. Kids from Queens are often stereotyped as rich kids and living cushy lives who weren't great fighters. While the Bronx was often seen as the opposite. Kids from the Bronx were see as tough and dangerous. They also had the second highest African American population of any borough in the 1960s.

So it makes sense why Dallas would have wanted to be a Yankees fan instead of a Mets fan.

Dallas and Lou's favorite player was Elston Howard, who was a New York Yankee. He was a first baseman and also played catcher. He was also the first African American on the New York Yankees.

Dallas idolized Elston. Still did up till the day he died.

Dallas and Lou used to go to Yankees games as much as they could. They'd take the subway (when they could afford it) or spend an entire day walking all the way up to Yankee Stadium just to get a glimpse of their favorite players and game.

On the days when they couldn't go, they would listen to the games over the radio smoking and playing cards.

In school, he tried out to play baseball but couldn't afford to pay the fees. His father didn't get along with the coach and so he was kicked off the team. Lou was on the team though.

When Dallas left New York he only had time to grab a few things. He took a foul ball he had gotten at a Yankees game and an old Dodgers jersey from his childhood. It was all he could shove into his bag before he had to leave.

In Tulsa, Dallas kept up with the Yankees. Everyone who was into baseball in Tulsa either liked the Texas Rangers or the Kansas City Royals and he couldn't hardly stand that. Though people in Tulsa were mostly into football so it didn't really matter.

Dallas can remember a few times suggesting to the gang that they play baseball instead of football but he was always shot down pretty quick. He plays it off but it still makes him a little sad.

If there is one thing he misses about New York, it's Yankee stadium and the fact that you can always find kids playing a pick-up baseball game in the street.

Sorry this was longer than I meant it to be! Apparently I had a lot of thoughts about Dallas Winston and baseball. Let me know what you think, I love this subject!

DeForest: First off-

Leonard: He or she?

DeForest: Myrtle’s a she. I gave you remember?

DeForest: Well a friend of ours gave us the turtle which was shown to a vet and the vet arrived at the age.

DeForest: The rings around the shell and we’ve had the turtle 10 years and we felt it would be a good thing to have something in the house older than both of us.

Merv: Was the house in an uproar when she came out of hibernation?

DeForest: Just a terrible uproar. It upsets us each spring, it’s a terrible feeling-but I’m glad she’s out. But I must tell you something before I forget about it. I’m so scared, I never do talk shows you know.

DeForest: Yes indeed. Yes, a great number of them.

Merv: Which is preferred DeForest?

DeForest: I don’t know. I spent about 10 years trying to get out of the heavy department. There were a group of us running around at the time, James Coburn, and a guy named Jack Elam, with the crazy eye, and there were about 5 of us that were running from show to show. And I got into this thing, I like them because they really are the most interesting roles I find actually.

Merv: More guts to ’em.

DeForest: But then like everything else, I wanted to get out of it. And I had just- I was finding my way out of it, slowly. I had done a film called “Raintree County” in which I got away-he was still a heavy, I kill Lee Marvin in the show.

Merv: That very seldom almost ever happens.

DeForest: But he was a good guy as far as I was concerned. I only kill one guy. But then Eddie Dmytryk put me in a role at Paramount called “Where Love Has Gone” and that was not a heavy. Then I went into Star Trek after that and I got into the Doctor McCoy thing.

Merv: And you’ve just been a lovely person ever since.

DeForest: Yes, I’ve just been darling.

Merv: What’s your most vicious moment on the screen do you feel DeForest?

Leonard: Insulting me.

DeForest: Yes, this is right here.

Leonard: All the time.

DeForest: My situation right here.

Leonard: This is terrible what I have to put up with him.

DeForest: I must tell you about some friends of yours that I do not know personally but on Star Trek one, I went to Australia and New Zealand to do some promo stuff for the film and on the way back I stopped in Hawaii for rest and relaxation. And while there, I was staying at the Kahala Hilton, if you’re familiar with it-

Merv: Very

DeForest: The units that are in the back of the hotel that lead right out to the beach the apartments-

Merv: Oh yeah right out on the-

DeForest: Yes.

Merv: Everyone always fights for those.

DeForest:  And all we did was sleep we were so you know with the jetlag and the whole thing so I had been down to the pool a couple of times and found that it wasn’t too- hi Bob how are you? That it wasn’t-that’s Bob Sallin

Merv: We know.  

DeForest: Yeah we saw him. You put the camera on him, handsome. We had, Carolyn had not been out of the unit hardly at all and I had wondered out. I went to the swimming pool and I found the usual thing, signing autographs and that sort of thing. And I thought well that’s no fun so, but I did see this beautiful coral reef running out to sea and I said, “Carolyn” I said “before we go back to California” I said “you gotta come out, at least walk out on this coral reef”. So we walked down these steps and there was the grass and then the beach. And as we got to the foot of the stairs this applause, tremendous applause, these people on the beach, started to applaud and I thought “My God it can’t” you know this is impossible.

Merv: Well your best performances-

DeForest: Carolyn said “just ignore it and keep walking”. I said “I can’t do that.” They just kept applauding and kept applauding. I said “I can’t do that” I said “I must go and speak to them, at least say hello.” So I walk out there, and here was Don Rickles and his wife.

Merv: Probably coming out of the coral.

DeForest: That’s right, out of the coral. Steve and Eydie.

Merv: Oh the whole gang.

DeForest: And Bob Newhart and his wife. I had never met them before. Come to find out they’re the biggest Trekkies in the world. They had seen the film the night before and they were thrilled with it. The only thing was they Eydie said that she was very unhappy about the theme, the music, and she missed the Star Trek theme. But I had to tell you that because I’ve seen them on your show so many times.

Merv: Oh I know. And I have also been there at the same time they have been at the Kahala.

DeForest: They go there every Christmas.

Merv: And the only fortunate one who is ever there is that dolphin who can swim underwater and get away from Don Rickles. Let’s show another-I can’t wait. I figure if I show enough of these clips I won’t have to pay to see the movie.

DeForest: We haven’t seen it.

Merv: Oh, well this is where Khan, or “Can” as the case may be. Richardo “Mat-ol-ban” Montalban has killed almost everybody but Captain Kirk. (Note: earlier Shatner was being interview alone, and at one point he pronounced "Wrath" as "Wroth" so Merv and Leonard had been teasing him about his pronunciation .)

DeForest: I see.

Merv: Oh you haven’t seen it?

DeForest: No I haven’t seen it.

Merv: Is there a doctor in the house?

DeForest: But I see what you’re talking about. Yes, you’ve got it here.

Summary: y/n is a photographer for the new scream promo and Jack thinks she belongs in front of the camera rather than behind.

"Y/N did you double check the SD card was empty?" My best friend and work partner, Leah, shouted from down the hall. "Yeah it was the first thing i did this morning,"

Leah and I have been working together ever since college where we met during our photography course. We have been inseparable since both landing a job at a highly praised magazine company.

Today is going to be a great day as we have been given the front cover photoshoot with full creative control too. It has been my childhood dream to have even a small picture but another front page? The feeling never gets old.

Leah and I finish packing all of our equipment into the car and we start the drive down to the studios in LA. As it’s kind of a long drive Leah starts our little road-trip with our favourite song. We scream the lyrics and laugh when the people, in the cars that pass us, give us strange looks.

To save our voices from any extreme damage, we put on some less energetic music and go over the plan for the day. “Wait, have you seen the cast for Scream 6?” Leah suddenly asks.

“Yeh like sorta… no not really” I answer scrambling for my phone. “Well we know Jenna from the Wednesday shoot so that’s less worrying right?” I say as I wait for the list to load.

“Oh yeah I forgot you did that! Do you think she will remember you?”

(Scream VI Groupchat POV)

Jenna- how close is everyone to the studio?

Devyn- I’m parked outside

Melissa- the shoot starts in half an hour

Devyn- I LIKE TO BE EARLY OK?!

“ I doubt she will remember, I didn’t really speak” I answer, as I start to cringe over my previous shoots without Leah. Leah is literally my rock, and she knows this as she looks over to me. “You will be great, I’ll be there if things get too awkward, and you have all your notes on your phone and in your notebook.” I give her a smile as I reach for said notes to calm my nerves.

When we arrive at the studio I already see two of the actors and they wave as we walk past their car. I feel a lot less stressed as I see that everything is clean for us to set up our equipment. Leah and I finish in a record time thanks to my meticulously drawn plan of the placement for lights and tripods.

One of the producers walks in to check if we are ready. He lets us know that two actors are going to be late but it won’t ruin the shoot. As he leaves to alert the cast Leah stands next to me to make sure I don’t run away.

“OMG it is you!” I hear a voice come round the corner. “I thought I recognised your name, guys this is the talent who created all the Wednesday promo!” Jenna exclaims to the group before walking over to hug me.

“It is great to see you again Jenna! And it’s lovely to meet all of you too.” I say to the room. “I’m Y/N, this is Leah and the stylists are in the other room.” I start to explain the plan for the day.

“So any questions?” I ask after I realise I’ve been talking rambling for too long. “Oh last thing, sorry, if at any point you feel uncomfortable or awkward in a pose or something, just let me know and I will sort it as fast as I can.” I let the cast go to their stylists, who they knew from set, and walk towards my camera and laptop to make sure everything is loaded up and ready to go.

“She did remember you.” Leah said in a hushed giggle as my face starts to go red.

(Jack’s POV)

We are late. Mason is late. So I’m late. I hate being late to these things. Especially when it’s people I’ve never worked with before, although I think I remember Jenna saying she’s met one of the photographers before but that doesn’t calm me down one bit.

“Hey man, chill out” Mason interrupts my internal panic. “They won’t mind, you can charm them with your good looks yeh?” He suggests. I widen my eyes to show I don’t agree. “Fine, I’ll apologise in my own way and you do it how you want too.” He sighs, jokingly.

When we finally arrive we are pushed into the changing rooms so fast that I don’t get to apologize for our lack of punctuality. I quickly change into my costume before jumping into the makeup chair, next to Mason. Once the artist has finished I text my mum to tell her I made it and left it on the vanity. I headed out to the studio once Mason was done too.

"Look who decided to show up!"

Part Two will be their meeting! Or should I say meet-cute?

My "Choices" Sims-ematic Universe

Many years ago, my friend got me into the app "Choices", which is one of those apps were you play through choose-your-own-adventure stories. Pixelberry's quality has decreased drastically in recent years but I'm still a big fan of their older works. I'm also a big fan of the Sims and CAS so over the years, I've grown a collection of Choices characters remade as Sims which I lovingly call my "Choices Cinematic Universe" (you know...like the marvel cinematic universe...) because they're all living in one save lmao.

I didn't think I would ever share these Sims here but people actually noticed I used Blades of Light and Shadow for the promo of this posepack and the lovely @simsillagrim asked me to share my other Choices Sims sooo here they are!

I didn't always make the whole cast of a book because, well, I only made my favourites lol. Some of these are from 2019 and some were made in the last year so the quality and likeness varies a LOT. I never said I was good at this. 😂 I'm also weird and couldn't decide whether to add MC, the default names or my own so expect a mix of all lmaoo.

Another important note is that 95% of the "It Lives" Sims were NOT made by me. They're made by the AMAZING @alltimefail-sims. I'll explain more when we get to them.

ANYWAY, let's finally start:

I think these were some of if not THE first Sims I made. You can tell by the kind of clothes I chose for some of them 💀 although I did slightly update them for this post. I only made my LIs and Diego & Varyyn because they're one of my favorite choices couples ever.

I cannot tell you how MANY times I've changed Edward. There's something about his face that I just cannot get right. 😭 I do like how my MC looks though. I'll forever mourn this book, it deserved a sequel. :((

Made them around the time I bought Horse Ranch bc duh. BSC was such a silly book, I loved it. And yes, I accidentally called my MC like a character in the book. It was hilarious.

The most recent addition to the CCU! And a joint effort between me and my friend @thatwinglessthing, and by that I mean they did all the work and I just tweaked things on Donovan a little. 🤣 And made my MC of course.

To prevent this post from becoming too long, I won't list every picture individually. Shreya and my MC are almost as old as the ES Sims I think. I've always wanted to make the rest of the Pend Pals but never really got around to it. Ironically, Shreya wasn't even my LI, it was Beckett. 😂 Nik & MC are fairly new and I'm quite proud of Nik tbh.

Random combo but we're nearing the end of the smaller groups haha. Guinevere is still missing her Lancelot, I honestly don't know why I still haven't made her. 😔 I'm super proud of the ROD Sims tbh, especially Mona. They were fairly easy, too. On the other hand, I struggled with TCH, especially Jack. 😭 I LOVE his canon ouftit but I just couldn't get anything remotely close and at one point I just gave up lmao. I do like Kieran's outift though.

Alright, now we're entering It Lives territory. 😂 As I've mentioned before, a huge thanks goes to @alltimefail-sims who made ALL of the It Lives characters and gave them away for free!! I marked it in the pictures as well but every Sim except MC, Noah and Jane were made by them!! And yes, I made an adult Jane. 💔 Her design as well as some of the others are based on the characters' looks in ILW instead of Woods bc that's basically the canon time in my CCU. It's only very slightly visible in the Noah/Jane photo and later in the ILW photos but I even built the cabin where most of Within is set in because I have problems. 😂 If you wanna see that too, let me know! I'm actually quite proud of it haha.

Listen, I know Parker is missing.....but I just do not like him. 😂 Or at least I didn't care about him enough to put him in my game. There are countless other characters who deserve to be added to the CCU before Parker LMAO.

And we conclude the It Lives section with the Within crew! One could also say the founders of this little project as I've made Choices Sims before but it wasn't until I added all the It Lives Sims to my game that I actually made a save file and started playing with them. 😅 MC #2 is missing their blind eye (where the scar is) because I just cannot find any CC for a blind eye on that side, it's always either the other or both eyes?? Technically, they should have 2 cyan eyes as well as they're my Shadow Rowan buut. I wanted to keep the heterochromia.

Annnd last but certainly not least the Sims that started this post. 😂 Technically, you've seen them (minus Kade) before but this list felt unfinished without them soo, here are the Blades Sims again. 😂 Nia and Valax are definitely my favorites, I think they turned out really good and Nia's outift is just PERFECT. They're all a mix of their book 1 & 2 outifts because I did try to make book 3 outfits as well but failed miserably. 💀 So I just chose those I could remake the best. Except Kade because he deserves a cool outift too and not just the same fit for all 3 books. 😭

And that concludes this massive list. 😂 I haven't made new Sims in a while but I definitely wanna keep adding to this save. I'm not sure if anyone out there will ever see this AND read everything but if you did: thank you! And I hope you enjoyed this little insight on my mediocre CAS skills. 😆

Behind the scenes pictures of Queen on iconic I Want to Break Free music video gives extraordinary glimpse into closeness of the band

The fascinating pictures show the band fooling around on the video shoot

Never-before-seen pictures of Queen making the trailblazing I Want To Break free music video shows the incredible bond between the band members. Candid images - all shot by veteran photographer Simon Fowler - show the sheer joy and fun of the group during the now-legendary filming of the promo. The video stunned music fans when it came out and had the rockers dressed up as housewives in a suburban home. In one of the newly-revealed pictures the band are shown in hysterics, with one crewmember wiping away tears of laughter as Freddie Mercury fools around behind a bewigged John Deacon. Freddie appears to be pretending to be a hairdresser as John chuckles in his seat, as Brian May beams by a back wall as they stare into the mirror at their new look. Later Brian can be seen clutching his curlers as he gazes into the distance as he is captured on film. Roger Taylor also looks to be having a ball in one of the archive pictures, pouting in his schoolgirl-style costume. Photographer Simon, who took pictures of the group throughout their career, opened up his archives to allow MailOnline to publish some of the incredible shots.

He said he had no idea the theme of the video before he had turned up at Limehouse Studios in London to take the pictures. Simon recalled: 'On Break Free I didn't get any idea of what it was going to be. I turned up and saw them and thought "Whoa, what is going on?". 'It was obviously a pastiche of Coronation Street. I remember on the day everybody was just fooling around laughing. 'It was so much fun that I was amazed that they actually got a video done. 'They had no concerns about doing anything that was unusual - they would just do it. 'They were just messing around in between the filming. I remember one funny moment when they were trying the stuff on and asking each other "what do you reckon of this wig?". 'That was the great thing about it, you have got Freddie with his big old 'tache, giving it all. 'It was without doubt the most fun shoot I have done. 'Every time I think about it I smile, the day just went so fast because everyone was having such a good time - it just whizzed by.

'When you get there I didn't know the story and the PR told me and I thought "that sounds great". 'I went backstage and the first thing I saw was them getting all their clobber done.' Simon had photographed the band before after getting a phone call during the recording of their Hot Space album. That record spawned the Under Pressure anthem and at first the photographer admits he had no idea who he would be going to shoot. He recalled: 'I got a call out of the blue to do a job and originally thought they had said Cream at the time, which I thought couldn't have been right. 'Back in those days you would get millions of calls. I only realised later it was Queen and I was told I would only get ten minutes with them and it turned into three hours. It was for the album Hot Space. 'I think we just got on pretty well - I wasn't expecting much time at all and it was brilliant. 'Roger actually got me to do a bit of tapping when they were recording. I like to think I'm on Hot Space somewhere. It just went from there really.' The band loved his work so he was invited back and ended up doing numerous shoots with them.

But he counts his work on I Want to Break Free as one of the most exciting jobs of his career. He admitted: 'I knew when I got called in for it, that it was going to be interesting. 'They wouldn't scrimp on stuff with the videos, they were big productions. If CGI was around then I am sure that would be what they were doing. 'When you were on set you would have to have eyes in the back of your head in some of the bigger productions, where there were cranes and stuff going round.  'When we went for lunch Brian was on the catering bus talking to me. He was still in the outfit with the curlers. 'I remember thinking "that's Brian May opposite me". It was so surreal. 'At the end of the day we saw the cut and it just looked great. 'I remember John taking a nap during the day, which he would have needed because the reality is they would have got there very early. 'They were trailblazers with videos, they really were. Queen were so unique in whatever they did. Brian with the sound and the guitar. I loved every minute of it

'Freddie was a trooper right up until the end. One of the things people don't notice about pictures of Queen is that you could never often get them out of the line-up 'They would not often move out of all four of them together for pictures. 'I think that's because they were a band but they were also incredible close friends too. 'They all had each others backs, none of them thought of themselves as the star - they were all equals.' The behind-the-scenes pictures were brought back into the spotlight as Simon as he compiled Fine Art Prints of Freddie, Brian, Roger and John from The Miracle shoot. They are being sold to help the fight against HIV and AIDS, with 50 per cent of proceeds going to the Mercury Phoenix Trust. Simon added: 'I was thrilled to do this and just give something back and help a really great cause. 'I was delighted by the response and hope it can keep helping people.' (x)

have you seen flake's new browser game? where you submit your high score and be in with a chance to win a bundle signed by him?

it's so similar, maybe even identical conceptually to a similar competition rammstein held way back in the windows 95 era of computing. (a time i didn't experience because i was born in '05 haha, still love it tho!)

from what i've deciphered, reading and translating the readme file included in the zip, they ran a competition where you played a game, emailed your high score, and then if it was high enough, be entered into a draw to win prizes. the date shown on the .exe file is the 10th of november 1997, almost 2 months after sehnsucht's release. i think one of the prizes was a copy of sehnsucht.

this is a piece of rammstein media and history i feel goes overlooked in the fandom. as an aspiring game developer myself, it's so interesting to see what pieces of interactive media were available. granted, they were promos, but fun promos. i hope to add to the library myself, even if they're independently made (though if i got to create a game for r+ i think i would die happy jdkdskfs)

that's all i wanted to say. i love your longform posts about rammstein albums and thought you'd appreciate some info about a different part of r+ history. i'm definitely going to continue researching it. and if anyone's reading this, you can find the game and a load of digital rammstein goodies here, including a benzin flash game and some e-cards!

and tried it out for a bit! It took me a while to understand that I'm not supposed to collect the gifts but actually avoid them, and I'm not very good with games like this 😅 But it's fun! Here's a little impression of it:

I've heard about the PC game which accompanied the release of the single "Das Model" and was on the retail copies of the single. Here's what the rammwiki website (a bible for me at this point, I'm so thankful for this incredibly well researched, endless source of information) writes about the different levels:

The game itself is split across three levels, all also divided in to three separate platforms each. The first is a subterranean cavern, populated with water monsters and apache helicopters.

The second is a concert venue, populated with cockroaches, flying robots and floating sex dolls.

The third level is the beach from the artwork of Sehnsucht. This level is populated by an aggressive clone of the player, sea urchins, falling barrels of toxic chemicals, and a monster disguised as a flirtatious woman.

Summer '98 - Soccer World Cup in France. During this time Noel was having constant panic attacks and wrote Gas Panic about these experiences. It was during the World Cup that Noel decided to give up drugs.

June '98 - Little James, Liam's first song to be recorded properly by Oasis is written. The song is about Patsy's son from her ex-husband, Simple Minds singer, Jim Kerr.

Summer '98 - Who Feels Love? written whilst on holiday with wife Meg in Thailand

Mar '99 - Tony McCarroll, the Oasis drummer who was sacked in 1995 after a fight with Liam settles out of court for a undisclosed fixed sum which means he's no longer entitled to any future royalties from Oasis.

13 Mar '99 - Noel brings the band to Bermondsey's Music Bank Studios for two weeks of rehearsals of the new album. According to Liam that it was during these rehearsals that the band decided that they would give up alcohol during the recording. Although Noel & Liam agreed, Bonehead was not entirely happy with the arrangement.

27 Mar '99 - The whole group fly out to France with Mark 'Spike' Stent to Chateau de la Colle to begin recording the new songs. The luxury French castle is owned by Christian Dior and costs the group £32,000 per month to use it.

31 May '99 - Noel plays an acoustic set at the Kosovo Benefit gig in London. The set included Noel singing an acoustic version of The Verve song 'Bittersweet Symphony'.

Summer '99 - The group finish recording and Bonehead and Guigsy go home to England. Noel and Spike stay in France finishing up different parts and overdubs and has to try to get Bonehead and Guigsy back to finish off their parts on the album. They refuse and don't return to France, so Paul Stacey plays most of the bass tracks, Mark Coyle plays a lot of guitar parts including main slide guitar part on PYMWYMI.

30 Jun '99 - Rumours that Bonehead has quit are denied by Johnny Hopkins, Oasis's PR officer.

10 Aug '99 - Bonehead releases a statement stating he has left Oasis. Noel and Liam state that they haven't spoken to him and they don't really know why he's left.

25 Aug '99 - Noel and Liam present a press conference in The Water Rats in London announcing Guigsy has also left the group.

13 Sep '99 - Baby 'Lennon Gallagher' is born to Liam and Patsy

17 Sep '99 - Noel goes to NYC with Spike, Stan and Howie Weinberg to master and mix the album.

26 Oct '99 - Gem Archer, the ex-Heavy Stereo guitarist joins Oasis as rhythm guitarist. At this time it is rumoured that Monaco guitarist David Potts is to join as bassist. It is later revealed that he spent a week rehearsing with Oasis from the 1st October but didn't fit in.

05 Nov '99 - Oasis record the video for their comeback single 'Go Let It Out' in high security in the English countryside with Noel playing bass and Liam playing acoustic guitar in the video as they still hadn't hired a new bass player.

12 Nov '99 - Andy Bell the ex-Hurricane#1 and Ride guitarist and songwriter joins Oasis to play bass

29 Oct '99 - Oasis officially announce album tracklisting

25 Nov '99 - Oasis announce the UK stadium tour including two nights in Wembley Stadium. It is also announced that Alan McGee the owner of Creation Records is to quit the record label in June 2000. Oasis announce they are to set up their own label, Big Brother.

03 Dec '99 - The first official airing of a new track was Who Feels Love? on the 3rd December '99 promo USA radio show in Philadelphia (PA First Union Center) for the radio station Y-100. It was played acoustically in the radio studio with Noel on guitar/vocals, Mike Rowe on keyboards and Gem playing guitar. Oasis play three short radio gigs performing only old material but playing a cover of the Beatles' Helter Skelter.

25 Dec '99 - the entire album had been leaked on cassette and had been converted into digital mp3 files on the internet. The first MP3 came from the first official promo for the album, a 12" vinyl version of Fuckin in The Bushes which had been released to the press only earlier in the month.

Jan '00 - Oasis play a radio session for BBC Radio 1 - They play an electric version of Talk Tonight and a cover of 'The Who' song 'My Generation'

Jan '00 - By the end of January the original demos for the album including 3 as yet unreleased songs were available online as mp3 files again leaked by an Oasis insider. The three songs were titled: 'Solve My Mystery/Revolution Song', 'Let There Be Love', and 'It's a Crime' But these titles are not confirmed by Noel. [read more about them here...]

27 Jan '00 - Daughter, Anaïs Gallagher is born to Noel and Meg in London's exclusive Portland Street Hospital

07 Feb '00 - Go Let It Out released and it goes straight to number 1. Oasis appear on Top of the Pops on the 10th for their first TV appearance since 1997

11 Feb '00 - Jools Holland Session. Oasis go into the studio to record an amazing special gig for Channel 4 which is to be shown later in this year.

21 Feb '00 - Standing On The Shoulder of Giants released in Japan with one extra track, Let's All Make Believe

28 Feb '00 - Album released in Europe and goes straight to number 1 in the UK.

28 Feb '00 - Album released in USA/Canada which came in three versions. One standard version, One with an edited version of Fuckin In The Bushes and one with a 2 track bonus CD containing Go Let It Out & Let's all Make Believe. It reaches a high of number 24 in the US Billboard Chart.

29 Feb '00 - On the day of SOTSOG's US release Oasis play first gig of world tour in February Tokyo Yokohama Arena

03 Mar '00 - In Fukuoka Japan, Liam pulls out after a few songs due to sore throat. Noel carries on the show on his own.

05 Apr '00 - US tour starts in Seattle, Noel debuts the Oasis version of Neil Youngs song, Hey Hey My My dedicating it to Kurt Cobain who died 6 years ago today. Kurt placed the line from the song 'It's better to burn out than to fade away' in his suicide note.

17 Apr '00 - Who Feels Love? released getting to number 4 in the UK Charts

17 May '00 - A return to the European tour in Lisbon. They play one more night in Madrid, then Alan White has an arm injury for the Barcelona show so it is cancelled. Noel and Liam get into a huge stubborn fight over Noel's plans for a solo album. The fight gets very physical and Noel ends up leaving the tour and returning to England.

The next 4 concerts are cancelled while ex-Weller guitarist, Matt Deighton, who's never really met Liam joins the group to play rhythm guitar. Gem takes over Noel's lead guitar and the band come back to a storming gig in Milan on 30 May. The next 13 gigs are mainly European festivals until the 1st July when the Roskilds gig is cancelled due to 8 peoples deaths the night before at a Pearl Jam show

03 July '00 - Sunday Morning Call, the last single from SOTSOG. It reaches number 4 in the charts.

07 July '00 - It's officially announced that Liam & Patsy have broken up. Noel says he hasn't seen Liam as happy in ages

08 Jul '00 - Dublin Ireland when Noel returns to join Oasis to an incredible reception at Lansdowne Road in front of a 40,000 packed stadium

21/22 July '00 - Oasis play 2 nights to a packed Wembley stadium with 80,000 each night. They are the second-last group ever to play in Wembley before it is demolished to be rebuilt. The 2nd Wembley show on 22 July is shown on live tv & Liam is blatantly playing up to the camera, ranting between songs

26 Jul '00 - Swiss festival show canceled half way through after thugs throw stones & bottles at the group

29 Jul '00 - Huge Murrayfield show in Scotland followed by another four European festival dates without Noel. On 7 August in Portugal the band are forced to leave the stage again due to more hooligans throwing stones at them.

30 Aug '00 - Amidst huge rumours that a split is to be announced on Tuesday the group play the last 3 dates of the world tour in Reading, Glasgow, then Leeds. The split rumour happened as a journalist asked Noel if they were going to split. He said 'if they were going to split he wouldn't say it till Tuesday after the tour was over. the journalist did the usual cowardly thing of printing that Noel said they were to split with an announcement on Tuesday.

05 Sep '00 - Noel and Meg announce they are to split due to drifting apart over the last year. Again tabloid rumours are full of custody battles and divorce but both Noel and Meg are still very anxious to talk and insist that nothing is definite yet and they are still trying to save their marriage.

Sep '00 - Tailgunner, featuring Oasis producer and live sound engineer Mark Coyle, 'Giants' bass player Paul Stacey and Noel Gallagher on drums, release their debut album.

14 Nov '00 - Oasis release a DVD and video of their huge Wembley concerts from July as well as a double live album of the gig. The album and DVD get some of the best reviews of any of the past few Oasis album releases.

General Reading: How are the current SM artists feel about SM's management?

I recommend reading it all, not just the group you like to get the full picture.

/EVERYTHING IS ALLEGED/

TVXQ: Nine of Swords,Page of Pentacles (Reversed)

They feel overwhelmed and anxious about the management of their company, they might even be in mental anguish over the company. There is a certain loyalty to the company and the nostalgy of what it once was, but they don't feel like the company is loyal to them. There is a member who is insomniac (?) who feels more type of way about the lack of good management. The second member is moreso disappointed over the abundance of resources the company has, but their density to use it.

NCT (active groups/members): Tower (Reversed),Two of Swords (Reversed), Ace of Cups

Oh boy... because NCT has a lot of members, the more prominent energies that I get that feel a type of way about the company are Libra placements,Scorpio (or someone on the Libra/Scorpio cusp), and someone with both balanced feminine and masculine energies. NCT probably have a good team, but the company itself they are not satisfied with. They are avoidant in terms of speaking about how they feel about the company. For example, TVXQ probably talk shit about everything to each other but NCT avoids that. They all get along when it comes to their work and goals as a group though. It's very vague because there are a lot of members I'll do something later if there would be requests.

EXO: The Devil,Ten of Cups (Reversed),Lovers (Reversed)

Trapped, controlled, restricted. Disharmony due to bad management. Lack of unity. Tension and discord among the members. They are disconnected with their (new?) team and they are very outspoken about what they want and don't want for their career, solo projects and EXO activities but their management says otherwise. It could lead some of the members (Capricorn energy) to use vices for escapism. They might smile but it is not what it seems.

Red Velvet: Eight of Pentacles,Four of Pentacles (Reversed),Ace of Pentacles

Similar energy to NCT. They get along as a group and for the sake of their career, are very cordial and professional. They don't feel secure in the company though. There is a possessive spirit/persona that keeps showing up in all of the readings. There is a controlling person in that SM building NONE of the artist are satisfied with. The future of RV as 3 members still seem to be bright though, and I see a good fruits from the girl's hard work because they are extremely hard working.

H2H: Four of Pentacles (Reversed)

I pulled out only one card because they are still very young so I won't overdo it with them. But you just can't make that shit up! So many reversed cards holy shit! They see the management as overly controlling and possessive (dj khaled voice... another one) they don't trust their team... like... at all. They might see the management as too stubborn, too old school for their liking.

RIIZE: Five of Wands (Reversed),Eight of Pentacles (Reversed),Seven of Swords (Reversed)

This is the most unsatisfied group currently in SM. There is also in-group fighting and conflict that doesn't help. They are done and uninspired. Obviously, they will push through the new comeback, but all of the member's enthusiasm is dead and gone. They feel the most betrayed by the company, and also they feel like they are being pitted against each other. The possessive person/spirit hovers around Riize more than everyone and it kept showing up in all the readings I did for them. Signs and placements I get from the most dissatisfied member is: Cancer,Virgo,Leo, Aquarius.

Aespa: King of Cups,Six of Swords,Four of Swords (Reversed)

Let's just start by saying Aespa has a really good team around them and their creative team separates themselves from the SM turmoil to invest in these girls and give them good concepts, music and promos. They are more lax about what's happening currently in the company for two reasons: these girls are naturally veeeeery chill and go with the flow. Almost fatalistic. "Whatever happens,happens" that's what I hear, but also they are treated very well and are just blessed (and lucky) with having good people around them.

Shinee: Knight of Cups,Magician (Reversed), Two of Pentacles (Reversed)

They are like TVXQ in that sense. They are emotionally attached to the company. The nostalgy and memories is what keeps them being loyal to this company and be emotionally fulfilled with their careers. They don't see the current management as confident and assertive, and feel like they as a group and in their individual actions have a lot of missed opportunities. There is a lack of organization in the company that hurts the group's finances and that's what I hear they complain about (a late paycheck, delay in financial gains etc.) I see Capricorn,Virgo and Pisces placements with the most complaints.

The secondhand embarrassment I feel every time someone randomly likes that years old Xiaolin Showdown post I made to help get the show more views on Netflix so we could help Christy Hui have a chance to make a continuation...only for us to get Chronicles. Granted two reasons it was bad is because 1) Warners had claim over the Shen Gong Wu names and 2) A lot of the cast (and I'm assuming writers as well) couldn't come back since it was being made in Canada.

I knew I had made a mistake being hopeful the moment I saw the promo picture with Dojo's inverted colors, Raimundo's dorito chin, Kimiko's stick figure, and the Omi changeling added on as the new dragon warrior instead of just using Jermaine??? Like was it so terrible to let the Black boy who got along just fine with the group to also join in finally?? And I feel bad for Christy because I feel like it wasn't what she wanted or envisioned (hopefully) for it. I couldn't tell if it was a reboot or a continuation tbh. All over the place. The characters were flanderized to hell and back. All of them. Chase Young was made into an absolute joke. Raimundo's character growth and position as leader was snatched away entirely. Like I dunno man. That shit ain't canon to me at all. I can't remember where, I'll have to do a search for it, (might've been Facebook) but I believe she said that shit wasn't canon and Imma leave it at that.
