Fights with Julian get a little...intense

He’s not really good with the whole, fighting with the person he loves things

Will probably cry from frustration

It also gets LOUD. You both will start at a normal voice and slowly it will rise to yelling

Never hurles insults, but hearing the hurt in his voice? Almost worse. And hearing how hurt you are? Man that’s a gut punch

He’s most likely gonna storm off (dramatically but I digress)

Sorry it’ll take him quite a long time to cool down

Feels SUPER awful about what he said in the head of the moment

Like just plain: “I’m a terrible person” awful

Brings you flowers to apologize. His voice is always super soft and nervous

You guys don’t fight super often but they can blow up when you do

Bring him flowers after you fight please. He’ll keep them on either his desk at work or on his bedside.

When he sees you’ve cooled off as well he’s going to hug you. Scoop you up if he can in a nice strong hug.

Asra

Asra fights get um...super nasty. You two know one another super well and things get blown up super quickly

They don’t happen often at all. Only when something boils over

But it’s always crying and almost incoherent worry and yelling. They’re a mess over you, running their hands through their hair so much you fear they might tear it out

Will leave to let you calm down and give you space. Usually goes to the dock to cry by himself and think things over. Faust is always conflicted when you guys fight

She doesn’t want to leave you to die again.

Asra never stays mad at you long, just needs time to cool down

Says tons of things he doesn’t mean but in the moment it’s all he has. Of course you throw things back and loads of feelings get hurt

Always feels terrible after. Always. Sometimes he even cries quietly to himself if it was really nasty

After arguments might take him hours or days to cool off enough to apologize

Likes talking things out with you over pumpkin bread and tea over big extravagant gifts

After an argument they’re good at talking things out with you. Always ends with a hug and him rocking you back and forth while trying to memorize your feel and smell

Nadia

Her words are SO sharp and they cut SUPER DEEP

Doesn’t hold back sometimes it feels like her words are tiny knives being thrown at you

If she says something truly uncalled for, her eyes go wide and she covers her mouth with her hands

She’s always a poised kind of angry. When she’s super upset she’ll be in tears.

She has siblings, she knows where to get you where it hurts. She aims to hurt in arguments

Never means it and always realizes in HORROR what she just said to you

Stays in another room for a bit after the fight. Depending on how bad the argument was she cries herself to sleep

You don’t fight with any of the Main Six often but sometimes things happen and people snap

Fighting with Nadia usually happens when she’s exhausted and you want her to sleep and things just explode

She’s usually the one coming back to you to apologize. Even if you were wrong, she hates upsetting you. When you apologize back her feelings come to a head and she just moves in to hug you so hard your back pops

Muriel

He kind of spaces out

Like he’s super upset but his replies to you are usually little grunts and he doesn’t quite meet your eyes

Unless you did something. Then he’s all up in arms, upset and sometimes he’ll tear up (especially if you put yourself in a ton of danger and he almost lost you)

He tries to keep his voice level. The first time he raised his voice at you you flinched and he ran away after seeing the reaction

He tries not to raise his voice at you, but sometimes it’s hard and usually you two will be loud at one another. Inanna is no fan

Fights with him are once in a blue moon. Usually they’re little lectures and you two understanding one another. But sometimes they do happen and they are just awful for the both of you

Feelings are up in the air, anger and worry is palpable. If you don’t take care of yourself, who will? kind of stuff

Wants to hug you after you’re done so bad, but stays stiff as a board to watch your reaction. It hurts sometimes

Makes you a little gift as a peace offering, (bring him back forget-me-nots)

Will hold you for a long time after you make up after a fight. (cuddle him PLEASE I BEG OF YOU)

Portia

Lots of yelling. Not intentional she’s just loud and you have to yell to be heard as well

Pepi usually runs to hide when you guys fight

Portia is the type to pace and throw her arms in the air.

And she’ll cry. She hates it, but she cries when she’s furious. Who knows what you two are mad and fighting by this point everything comes bubbling to the surface

She’ll storm out of the house to cry alone somewhere and get herself together

It can um...get fairly nasty at times. Hurling insults doesn’t really happen but her breaking down sobbing with every word does

Not a pretty sight

It’s hard arguing with someone you love so much, so she’ll come crying back as well. She just wants a hug ;-;

It’ll be awkward for a while after, but after you failed to bake something as a peace offering it’s broken. She’ll help you bake something new (cottagecore WIFE)

Lucio

So the question is what do you guys NOT fight about

Lucio is a tricky guy to be with I’m not gonna lie. He’s done some shitty things and doesn’t understand a lot of those

Will take time for him to get there and fully understand why people don’t like him

But man is it a sore spot and he will fight with you about it. A lot. And it just...lord it gets really bad

He’s not the type to cry during an argument. After though? Fair game.

And he always wants to be by you after. Talk to me I’m lonely type beat. If you don’t want to talk that’s further salt in the wound

But things just blow UP. He’s dramatic, childish, and ANGRY. His voice is so thick with fury it hurts to have it directed at you

Like chest heaving, near tears, regretting everything you just said kind of spats. When Lucio is mad he is MAD. Like Nadia, his words are like ice

Without meaning to, he aims to hurt you. And hurt he DOES

When he comes to his senses he’s running away

Will come to you first, with gifts anywhere from super extravagant to something only he would get you. And apologizes. Even if you caused the argument he blew it all up

He’s lonely and touch starved, he’s not gonna let you go (and he’s gonna be crying)

Cookies are a good thing to give to him back. It’ll prolly make you two end up on the bed snacking on them while just talking and cuddling.

Types of RP / How I do threads

* So here’s the deal. I have a muse, three people who rent her space, and a cast of dozens of npcs. I usually do most of my writing on Thurs Night through Monday Night, though I might be around Tues, Wed. Sometimes I am on Riley, sometimes Lugh, sometimes Quothe. Mostly I’m on Beth and one of the others. She’s the easiest for me to write. I do asks, I do threads. Mostly they are multi-para or novella because try and shut me the fuck up, I dare you. Sorry, kids. I can do rp in discord but often I don’t consider those “canon” unless discussed with the other mun. Sometimes I might write up a ficlet from discord rp and post it on the appropriate blog.

Sometimes I will do shorter bits while writing on my novellas. I am currently something like three months deep into a post for one of my mutuals {waves at them and their salt kingdom}. I do my best to give you quality, and I appreciate that being reciprocated. QUANTITY does not equal quality. If one cannot tell the difference, then it’s probably a sign we will not get along.

Plotting Preferences

| Wing it | Get a general idea ooc and then run with it & plot further if need be | Long expansive thought out story arcs | *I prefer to at least touch base, figure out some fine points or guidelines as to what we will write. Especially when establishing a new friendship/partnership. I do prefer long expansive arcs. Once we are firm friends {as evidenced by how much we’ve written together/talked ooc} then it sort of slides into a Wing/Pants It....meaning I will literally roll with whatever you throw my way, either for serious, for play, or for the crack.

Reply Speed for Threads & Consistency & Keeping threads

| I lose threads all the time & don’t usually get back to them | I tend to lose threads but please tell me if I have and I’ll reply! | I drop threads pretty easily | I’m really slow but I WILL get back to you | I reply on a schedule/queue | I usually reply within a month | I usually reply within a week | I reply every day | I reply almost instantly | *I sometimes lose threads and I appreciate you checking in if you feel like I have. Sometimes Chicken and I will spend an afternoon just curating who has what thread as we literally have over 200 of them going on. Sometimes I will reply to 5+ and throw them in my queue, sometimes I’ll reply immediately, and speed depends on rl factors between work, family, and other responsibilities like Church, and community things. Reply speed DOES NOT represent how interested I am in stuff. I also never, ever drop a thread. It might take me a while but I WILL answer. The only time a thread gets “dropped” is if we, as muns, decide that it’s come to a natural end.

Romantic or sexual ships

For example, the way she loves her brothers is the same way she loves her hanai sisters is the same way she loves her husband is the way she loves trees and the ocean and candyfloss. It takes her a while to first, connect with someone and feel anything other than friendship. She might never move beyond that. But pushing her ic or ooc, pushing ME ic or ooc, that won’t do you well. I am willing to discuss and have pre-established relationships. Of All Kinds. I do base ships off Chemistry, not only just the muses. **I** have to feel chemistry and friendship with the other mun or it ain’t gonna happen, no matter HOW pretty your muse is or how popular they are.

Smut

| I do NOT do smut at all (specify reason if you’d like) | I’m very selective about it | I only do it on a separate (blog/discord/specify here) | I mainly only do asks relating to nfw headcanons on Sundays | I write it a medium amount | I write it all the time and love to |

* I am not shy about smut, I am an adult who has been married for a very long time, and I know where all the parts go. That being said, I don’t mind NSFW asks or threads, as long as they fall into the guidelines above, and I’m gonna tell you a secret. When and if I write smut, it’s usually the first time or two. And maybe a middle or an end. I do not feel every single time has to be written, and really at some point it becomes boring. I like writing things getting interrupted. I like writing things that fail to meet the goal, so to speak. I like the first excitement, or a long sought reunion, and things like that. I like to mix the emotional and the spiritual with the physical. I might flashback or go into great detail about what she’s thinking and feeling and gloss over the individual actions. It depends on the scene, the partner, the story. If you’re looking for Tab A goes into Slot B, shake-rattle-and-roll ad nauseam, then I am not the partner you want. And uhm, probably no one I know is, either.

𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑡: 𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑓𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟

SUMMARY: Our ragtag team of heroes including Natasha Romanoff, Daniel Sousa, Clint Barton, Loki Laufeyson, Veronica Stevens, and Deke come together to rescue Director Daisy Johnson from the clutches of Lucia von Bardas. TRIGGERS: Torture, Violence, PTSD, Trauma WRITTEN WITH: @ofbartons, @oflokismischief, @ofdcniels, @daisyljohnson, @ronniestvns, @oflemcns

CLINT: when loki woke him up for the rescue mission, clint wasted no time. he threw on the first shirt he could find, which luckily was clean, and his shoes before literally tumbling out the door with his bow in hand. his fuzzy pizza-sliced patterned pajama pants wasn't the most tactical choice, but then again neither was his bright purple t-shirt and converse. once they'd arrived at the hellicarrier, clint took out the guards on a section of the deck before firing a bomb arrow at the wall to create a point of entry for 'tasha and the dude in the blue shirt. "i will admit, being subtle might have been the smarter play here." he chuckled over the comms while firing a trio of arrows. the explosion had two purposes in his head- one, the point of entry, and two, draw attention away from daisy's rescue duo. the second purpose was just working a little better than he'd thought it would. he slid across the deck, firing off a couple more arrows before standing up and kicking one of the guards in the chest. using the controls on the handle of his bow, he switched to a smoke arrow before aiming at a group of the guards "hey lo, i'm really glad you have the cape still." keeping the arrow drawn back, clint turned his head to look at his boyfriend "otherwise i'd be too distracted by that ass of yours." he winked and let the arrow loose, still looking in loki's direction "not to mention all these schmucks would be staring at it." he switched back to regular arrows before firing into the smoke.

LOKI: Loki should've known Clint would be far from ready when it was time to lead the mission, it had been quite awhile since he'd gone into battle but then again he did quite love the hunt when it came down too it. His mission was simply and if anything he could easily take out anything humans could throw at him. "Possibly but then again we have quite the army of people who have been missing out dear Director and I'd burn the place down if she wasn't in there." He mused throwing iced daggers at all who dared come near. For those who got to close they were met with his quick stabs and his illusions. when he heard his boyfriend speak chuckling softly "Its all about fashion darling, Those little SHIELD outfits do nothing for my figure" He mused back looking at Clint he always found his Archery skills rather attractive before he rolled his eyes "as for my ass I'm sure I can other wise to distract you, maybe flirt with a villain or two and see how much of your spy skills come out to play, after all Green is quite your color my hawk"

NATASHA: "Subtilty was never your strong suit, but I do appreciate the flare. The pajamas make it easier to find you too," she laughed as Clint shot a few explosive arrows to give herself and Daniel an entry point into the helicarrier. As Clint, Loki, and Ronnie guided Lucia's guards away from the entry point, Natasha and Daniel made their way in. Natasha fired off a few taser disks, hitting the oncoming guards squarely in the chest. She watched them fall to the floor, convulsing as electric shocks ran through their body. As the guards fought to peel the taser disks off of themselves, Natasha made her way through the hallway. She ducked as a few rounds of bullets came flying at her and Daniel. She grabbed him and pulled him toward the wall for cover. Natasha used the wall to shield herself as she fired at the oncoming guards. "Ronnie, have you located the room where Daisy's being held captive?" They could aimlessly fire rounds all day, but they needed to know what direction to go. She made a face as she heard bits and pieces of Clint and Loki's conversation over coms. "Honestly," she frowned and looked over at Daniel. "I can't even be mad. I did this to myself inviting those two along."

RONNIE: “Yea... I’m working.. on it.” Veronica breathlessly remarked over the coms. A few grunts could be heard as she flipped the guard she’d been tangled up with and stabbed him with one of poison daggers. “Now where were we.. a yess.. here we go.” Ronnie grabbed her data pad, ducking down behind a bolder as she took control of the building. “I’m in, I’ve got eyes on Daisy.. She’s alive..” Ronnie neglected to add how bad she looked from the live feed she was getting on their shitty surveillance system. “She’s on the fourth floor, third door to the right. Give me thirty seconds, I’m disabling the alarms and lock mechanisms now. I’m about to fry the fuck out of their systems and equipment. Can’t promise I won’t blow the lights.. hope you brought flares.” Ronnie playfully teased, falling forward as a couple of guards began to fire at her out of no where. “Hey lover boys! As uncute as it is listening to you flirt endlessly while taking out guards, I could use some help over here! Cover me while I shut down their main line.” She made a mental note to switch them over to their own channel when she was finished here.

DANIEL: while this wasn't the strangest mission he'd ever been on, that title probably had to go to the whitney frost case, this had to be the most chaotic and strange team daniel had been apart of. you had not one but two super spies (one of which was in pajamas and using a bow and arrow of all things), a tech genius, a god (or were they an alien? daniel was a little fuzzy on that particular detail), and deke... at least most of them seemed to know what they were doing. daniel ducked down when agent romanoff pulled him out of the line of fire "thanks." he waited for the shooting to stop, meaning the men were reloading, and once they did he leaned out at shot the men. keeping low he moved towards the door to the stairwell one he heard daisy's location. daniel couldn't help the chuckle that escaped him at the couple's banter "compared to the things i've heard howard utter, this is nothing."

DEKE: In the past, when Deke had thought about his 'next cool mission' this had hardly been the thing in his mind. Not Arrow-Guy in his pajamas, not working with someone who practically a God, Black Widow herself or well, any of them. Certainly not Daisy being in danger like this... But still, he was nothing if not adaptable. So adapt he did. Rescue Daisy now, rankle his mind about all these events later. There was something pretty calming about the group of them being so casual and prepared (though he still felt a spike of fear at every loud noise, the many of them). He was working with the best, Deke reminded himself. He'd gotten the Hyperbaric Chamber ready to go for Daisy upon their return, nervously awaiting. In one of his more anxious moments he'd thought about preparing food for Daisy before remembering he wouldn't know how long she'd be in there for. So, with the chamber up and waiting, Deke listened on the comms and waited. "How's it looking? It sounds pretty crowded." Crowded, being the word for all the many enemies they seemed to be facing (and taking down). "You guys doing okay?" He was fairly sure they were but it didn't hurt to ask.

DAISY: Daisy had been living in a fantasy world, but it could only last so long before she eventually had to wake up. Wake up was a relative term. It didn't mean she was entirely awake and aware, more so that she had to wake to the reality of her situation, that there were no happy endings, that she couldn't get what she wanted, that actions had consequences, and even when you thought you won, it could come back to bite you in the ass. In the time that it had taken everyone to track down her kidnappers, Daisy had been put through several different forms of torture. Lucia had even been so kind as to grace her with her presence, reminding Daisy of what she'd done to the woman and how everything she was going through now was her own fault. Daisy could give her that much. Daisy had done her fair share of awful things, even if she hadn't been entirely in control of her own actions at the time. Nick Fury Sr. had made sure of that. It seemed that even after she'd taken things over from him, he still managed to screw up her life, but in the end she wasn't really surprised by any of this.

Currently, she didn't know where Lucia was, and she was just surrounded by guards who had all made sure not to listen to a word she said. Still, that didn't mean she wouldn't try. Her ears were ringing, but she could still feel some kind of activity on the ship. She spat out blood. "Sounds like . . . you've got company," she taunted, her voice raspy and barely carrying out to them. Her breathing was shaky and uneven. "You might . . . wanna go deal with that." They ignored her, saying nothing.

CLINT: clint had been in a lot of sticky situations before, but this wasn't one of them... if anything he was like a greased up hog running from the farmers trying to catch him, which might be a little dangerous for him. bad things tended to happen to him when he got too confident, but at least both loki and 'tasha were here to keep him from dying. he was about to fire off an arrow when a guard came up on his left, so he turned and stabbed the arrow into the guy's eye "oooh... i hope your insurance includes vision." clint quipped as he fired another set of arrows into the group. "aww, don't be like that lady. you know that my husband and i are cute as fuck." he winked at her as he ran by, headed towards loki... not because he needed the back up but purely because clint wanted to get another look at loki. his look was different from the last time clint had seen him in his battle gear and the blonde had to admit it was a damn fine look. "hey handsome! you come here often?"

LOKI: Loki had enjoyed the thrill of field work, it had been such a long time since he'd been able to use his daggers and magic against an actual threat. The best part was having Clint fight side by side him, before they'd been on opposite sides of a war, never sharing more the small glances. He fought with a passion ensuring they would clear a spot to bring Daisy home, there was no way he was leaving without her even if it cost every single on of these humans lives. "Did you really just say that Clint?" He questioned chuckling softy as he quickly disarmed three more guys pinning them down with a couple of his daggers. "We actually are, plus you are the driving force that brought us together in life and on this mission. The blame is fully on your shoulders Nat darling." He teased the other as he noticed his lover coming towards him. He could easily see that glint in his eye whenever Clint saw Loki in his more regal clothes, though now he'd donned on his Asgardian wear leaving that as his go too field work outfit. He turned to reply to Clint before throwing a dagger right into the bad guy who'd tried to take Clint by surprise. "Depends on who's asking, and if they are going to buy me dinner first," He mused winking at Clint.

NATASHA: Natasha had learned long ago to tune out the chatter of the coms. She kept her volume low so she could focus on their current situation. If shit hit the fan outside, she trusted her team to be able to handle it. "Ah, Howard Stark. If working with him is anything like working with his son, I'd pass on the opportunity," she joked. Tony wasn't so bad...in small dosages anyway. The lights on their side of the helicarrier flickered before going out completely. In the next moment, Natasha and Daniel were bathed in an eerie red light. Ronnie must've knocked out the security system. Only the emergency lights were operational now. "Fourth floor, third door," Natasha nodded as they slipped into the stairwell. She heard heavy boots above them. Reinforcements were coming through. "Five pairs of boots," she whispered to Daniel as she ducked behind one of the spirals. As the sound of boots came closer, Natasha shot a taser disk at the first guard. He convulsed and fell forward, tumbling down the stairs. He was wearing the same mask Natasha saw in her memories. The widow jumped out from behind one of the spirals and landed a kick square in the chest of one of the guards. He fell forward and took a third guard down with him. Three out of five. Not bad. She turned to take down the other two, but it appeared Blue Shirt was already disengaging them. She would have to share the body cam footage from her stealth suit with Daisy later. That was sure to lift her spirits.

RONNIE: “Nice one Nat.” Ronnie mused as she watched Nat take out three guards at once, followed by Daniel knocking out a couple more. “You kids make a good team. Daisy’s gonna be so proud.” She snickered into her earpiece. She’d muted Loki and Clint’s come but kept an eyes on everyone’s body cams in case the lover boys got into trouble. She loved them dearly, but their banter was brining her lunch back up. “They’ve got her surrounded.. ten.. maybe fifteen guys.. the footage is shit.. but I’m trying.. ” Ronnie relayed, watching the room she was being held in like a hawk. “She’s saying something to them but no ones budging... hold on..” a few clips to enhance the audio and suddenly Ronnie was sporting a shit eating grin. “I knows we’re here. Hang on, Director.. we’re coming for you.”

DANIEL: hearing that they had eyes on daisy made him feel a little better but he wouldn't feel settled until she was out of here completely. after kicking the fifth guard in the chest, with his bionic leg for good measure, he turned towards natasha to see if she needed help "ten to fifteen? i think we can handle that." daniel smirked before reloading his guns "so how do you want to do this?" he peeked around the corner seeing that there were no guards outside the room but daniel knew all hell would break loose once they went in.

DEKE: He listened intently to the communications, hoping to hear word of Daisy's safety and prepare the Hyperbaric Chamber for her. Well, it was mostly prepared. It'd really be him opening the thing, then everything was smooth sailing. That is, if her injuries could be healed by it... Which they should. Unless she literally lost a limb or died she should be fine. She would be fine. He heard the ruckus over the comms and felt his heart swell with fear. "Any eyes on Daisy yet?" He asked desperately. Then he heard it. They found Daisy. "Is she okay?!" He asked over the coms, without much hope of getting an answer. They had other things keeping them busy, after all. So he continued waiting anxiously.

DAISY: As the fighting outside continued, the guards around Daisy got more anxious. They could hear on their comms that they weren't exactly winning this fight. "Let's just get rid of the dead weight," said one of the guards. "I doubt Lucia wants this one alive anyways."

"Did you hear her say that or are you just assuming shit again?" asked the other guard. "You know what she'll do if we go against her orders."

"Screw her orders. That's the fucking Avengers out there. If Lucia wants her alive, we can just blame her death on the Avengers, say they didn't give us any choice. Hell, we can say she attacked us." He pulled the tubes that had been connected to Daisy out, but there were still drugs in her system. She couldn't do much. She could barely move. He pulled her up by her hair, shoving a gun against her skull. "You're going to get them to stand down, or you're going to die.

"Guess. . ." Daisy choked on her words. It was hard to focus on her words, when she was focused on something else. "Guess I'll die then." Her shoulders moved up slightly in a shrug. She wasn't actually expecting to die now. She imagined Natasha was probably leading this charge, and these guards didn't stand a chance against her. If Daisy could just move her fingers a little more, she could help Natasha too. There. A small tremor shot out from her fingertips, and the door to the room slammed open. The guard still had a gun to Daisy's head, but Natasha would be here in 5...4...3...2...1... //

NATASHA: "Thanks, Ronnie," she replied when Ronnie relayed the message about what was waiting for them up ahead. "I dunno, Danny Boy," she smirked up at him. "I seem to be carrying all the weight here," she elbowed him gently. "Pick up the slack or I'm gonna leave you behind and save your girl myself. Maybe I'll steal the kiss right from under you too." Natasha glanced down at her utility belt to see what supplies she still had left. "I still have a few taser disks left. That should be enough to shock the oncoming guards. The rest we can take down the good old fashion way." And with that she heard the door to the room where Daisy was being held slam open. "Good girl," Nat grinned. Daisy was a fighter till the end. "Come on, Daniel. Let's work for a living." Natasha sprinted into the room full force. It didn't take long to make an assessment of the danger. She threw the first taser disk at the man who'd had a gun to Daisy's head. He dropped the weapon and began to convulse on the floor. Natasha threw the remaining disks that she had at the next few guards that tried to come at her. She used the momentum of their falling bodies to take down a couple more men. She was really hoping this would be the last of them.

DANIEL: the male let out a quiet huff at the update from ronnie "quack right?" he raised a brow before rolling his shoulders "to be fair, you are enhanced." daniel joked. he looked calm on the outside but internally he was worried about his girl... if that's still what she was. plenty of time had passed for her and daisy was probably given many opportunities to move on from some square she only knew for a short time... he wouldn't blame her in the slightest. nodding he followed after natasha, downing guards with his guns before exchanging blows with a couple. he dropped to the ground and knocked the legs out from under one before moving towards daisy his heart nearly breaking at the state she was in.

his hands were shaking slightly as he knelt down by her “hey... what did i tell you huh? i thought you were supposed to take care of yourself.” he was so relieved to see her again, although this wasn’t the reunion he had been hoping for after he had to stay behind to make sure that the team was able to escape back to their timeline with the chronicoms in tow. he worked as quickly as he could, removing any leftover wires and nodes from her body, while talking to her about... well, anything really. if anyone asked him later what he’d said, danny boy wouldn’t be able to tell you. his focus was getting daisy out of there and making sure she was safe. after he pulled the helmet off her head, he started brushing the hair out of her face “keep fighting okay? you stay awake for me daisy and i’m gonna get you home.” memories flashed in his mind of their time in the barn with malick, his heart breaking at the fact people kept hurting the amazing woman in front of him. he’d kick himself later for not trying to find a way back to her sooner, could he have prevented this from happening if he had? or perhaps he’d have been taken too, used against her in some way... he’d never really know, but daniel had to focus now. get her home, get her safe, make sure she’s okay three easy goals he could focus on. as gently as he could, daniel gathered daisy up in his arms and lifted her from the ground. “i got you sweetheart, it’s okay.”

DAISY: As the man who had been holding Daisy fell after being tased by Natasha, Daisy crumpled too, her body unable to hold herself up after constant torture. She was glad to have been right about Natasha coming in, but after her head hit the floor, her awareness of what was around her was fading again. She vaguely heard the sound of fighting, and then there was a familiar voice that she hadn't heard in a long time. Her eyes, covered in her own blood, wouldn't open anymore, but she recognized Daniel. She must've been slipping. It was a result of being so close to death. An auditory hallucination. It wasn't real. "Daniel?" she whispered, allowing herself to ask even when she knew this wasn't real.

NATASHA: Natasha was tired as she took out the last of the guards. Parts of her tactical suit were torn and her lip was bloody from where one of them managed to hit her, but she was thankfully in one piece. She pushed her coms button to give the team a status update. "We have Daisy," she informed them. "We're en route out through the north bay entrance. Take the carrier, find Lucia," her voice took on a darker tone. "I have some questions for her myself." Lucia von Bardas was the one that ordered this torture. Natasha was about to return the favor. She turned to see Daniel pick up Daisy. The woman was barely conscious at this point. Natasha approached them and gave Daisy a reckless smile before quacking obnoxiously. "I didn't give you permission to die. This is so unprofessional. I'm sure you'll make it up to me though."

Her coms buzzed. "Romanoff, we're in."

"Welcome to the party, boys," she grinned. Moments later she heard boots on the ground and the sound of rooms being checked and cleared. It was the back up unit that she'd called. "Come on, let's get her to the Hyperbaric Chamber."

DANIEL: "yeah sweetheart, it's me." he spoke softly as he adjusted his hold to keep a feel of her pulse like he had when he pulled her out of that barn all those years ago. watching the small interaction between natasha and daisy made him smile, seeing her have family like this made him so happy... it was everything she deserved. seeing the agents filing in daniel started moving out of the room, daisy didn't look too good and she needed to get back to hq to start recovering. he turned and looked over his shoulder, smirking slightly "you coming romanoff? thought you said you were gonna steal the kiss from me?"

DAISY: She still heard his voice speaking to her, and she felt like it was just a sign that she was going to slip away again soon. The sound of Natasha's voice was something she knew to be real. She could focus on it, though that was getting harder to do. She heard Lucia's name, and the hellicarrier started shaking violently. It wasn't intentional on Daisy's part. She was hardly in control of her body right now, but as Natasha came over to her and started quacking at her, Daisy calmed enough for the shaking to stop. She tried to return the greeting, but it only came out as choked gurgling. Apparently, blood in your throat didn't allow for very articulated speech, even in the instance of duck calls. She managed at least a small smile as Natasha criticized her for not getting permission to die. "n't dead yet," she wheezed out.

She felt herself being lifted up and moved through the halls. Her eyes weren't open, but she could hear and feel just well enough to know she was being moved quickly. Daniel's voice spoke again, and she had to remind herself again that this wasn't real. It was easier to believe that it was a hallucination from what he said. Even if it was her Daniel, she was sure Natasha would kick his ass for implying she was falling behind. Daisy hadn't been able to see much before, but she'd heard the fighting. Plus, she knew Natasha well enough too to know that she must've done almost all of the fighting here. From the sound of Natasha's orders, she was leading this thing. Whoever suggested she of all people was falling behind was going to regret the words coming out of their mouth. Daisy almost felt sorry for whoever it was, but at least it wasn't actually Daniel.

Whoever was carrying her, certainly not Daniel, got her off of the hellicarrier fairly quickly, or maybe Daisy was just losing her concept of time passing. She heard S.H.I.E.L.D. agents directing the person carrying her back to the zephyr, telling them to get her to the hyperbaric chamber as quickly as possible because she didn't look good. She fell back into unconsciousness before she found out if she made it into that chamber or not. Maybe she was dead. She hoped not. Natasha hadn't given her permission to die yet. How would she make it up to her?

DEKE: Deke was nervous. Not his usual 'state of being' kind of nervous but the more dastardly 'holy shit is my friend alive' kind of nervous. Also the 'she got tortured and it's my fault' kind of guilt laid in pretty thick too. But... he couldn't let that take away his focus right now. He needed to be an agent. Turn off the nerves and the guilt, he was a pro at it in the past he could for sure do it now. He would, if nothing else than for Daisy's sake. The moment Daisy was in, all hurt and bruised and broken but still Daisy, still strong. Well, Deke did what he did best. Move. As soon as it was possible with Daisy situated and safety in there the machination turned on and began it's process.

That was his part. Small. In the end, it was Daisy who would have the toughest job. And that was surviving. Deke inhaled deeply, wishing he could do more and knowing he could not. He ran a hand through his hair. "She'll be okay." He spoke, not even knowing if the words were for himself or the others. "She will..."

NATASHA: She rolled her eyes at Sousa's joke. "My pacing's fine. Yours though..." she frowned. She'd carried most of the operation from the investigation to the rescue mission itself so she wasn't even mildly amused. "We'll have to work on that if you wanna keep up with me and Daisy," she winked. She'd already stolen a kiss from Daisy...more than that actually. But she wasn't gonna tell the old man that. Bless his heart. Now that her team had moved in on the helicarrier, getting to the zephyr wasn't all to hard. Natasha's shoulders eased once Daisy was in the chamber. She would be okay.

"Romanoff, we have Lucia," one of her agents reported through the coms.

"I'm on my way." Natasha looked up at Deke, Daniel, and the others. "They have Lucia and I have questions." She also had a penchant for violence. And based on the way Daisy looked right now, Natasha had no plans to go easy on Lucia. "I think you guys can manage from here. Get Daisy home safe or the next body I bury will be yours," she informed the team. It was very clear she had the means to carry out on that threat. With that, Natasha left Daisy's side and made her way back to the helicarrier to interrogate Lucia. / END

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Yes! these days I try to respond to all of my comments. I got my current beta for running like water via comments and she's absolutely fantastic and I've made a lot of lasting fandom friends through responding to comments. I started commenting on fics as I was getting into deep space nine fics, and then when I wrote correspondence, I started replying to comments and it totally changed how I felt about my fic and how I felt about writing and sharing my work.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

So I haven't actually uhhhh....finished any of the multichaptered fics I've written (lol). I try not to have angsty? endings. that's not really how I want to resolve things. At most I'd say my endings are bittersweet, but more often a happy ending even though I hate that idea. I think I strive for a resolution but anticipation of the future.

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

Probably caught a long wind. That one was just a family-oriented one shot I wrote and so it's some of the more saccharine stuff I've written.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve ever written?

I prefer AUs if need be but, no, I don't write crossovers.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not that I can recall, though occasionally I get weird comments that make me wonder why people are reading it. I had someone once say they hope the main characters of my fic don't get together, despite that relationship being....the central aspect of the fic...

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Yes. I think I would describe my approach as making it as horny as possible (this is distinct from as dirty/explicit as possible). There's also far too much porn without there being any masturbation and it's just not realistic lol. the one thing I really strive for is that the sex isn't cookie-cutter instruction manual sex that could be recycled somewhere else but feels integrated into the story and is an extension of the story. and im always pushing myself to write it better. I have a few fics I always revisit to figure out how they do such a good job.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don’t think so.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I had someone contact me for a Russian translation of rlw which I would actually love to try and read myself as someone who is a native speaker but is terrible at reading and writing it.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Fiona and I are co-writing a post-fall Hannibal fic which I'm super excited about and it's taking all my energy to not say anything about it because I adore it.

What’s your all-time favourite ship?

I've been through a lot of fandoms but my first real ship was draco/ginny from (oh god) more than a decade ago and I'll always have a place in my heart for it.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

im not about to curse myself like that because I hope that I'll be able to come back to my stagnant WIPs as a stronger writing and be able to solve whatever clusterfucks I got myself into.

What are your writing strengths?

I think I do a good job with sense of place; I've always liked describing settings but I've been pushing myself to really make places as alive as the characters.

What are your writing weaknesses?

finishing a fic lmao. but actually plot resolution is incredibly hard and it's the one thing that I haven't had much practice with.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I think its great when used sparingly and in interesting ways. I think it comes up a lot in Star Trek fic where people have invented languages and it makes for some really good writing. I do think leaving readers in the dark does them a disservice so that's something I keep in mind if I use it.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

I wrote stories about Black Beauty in a notepad program on this tiny laptop my dad got me when I was like, ten or eleven. My first published fic was a Danny Phantom fic when I was in middle school (lol)

What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

Oh man. I've had such a knockout experience with running like water. I remember pitching the first two chapters to ironlotus back in december as I was just starting to be active in the hannibal fandom and trying to find a place there. I'd really enjoyed fics with Abigail as a central character but it turned out to be really rare to find, and particularly rare to find fics about her relationship with will as a father figure and all the complexities therein. I had been writing a bit of another story to feel out their relationship and then I started running like water. I didn't have any expectations of what it would be when I started and I took sort of a leap of faith and just posted what I had. The feedback I received through comments really shaped what this fic turned into. I started to hit a stride with writing and I just ended up writing so much. I also had a really great time talking to my girlfriend about working out the overarching plot so even though I was letting it take me where it wanted to go, I had a direction to go in and everything I've been writing has been towards that end goal. having an actual ending has really changed the game lmao. who knew. anyways it's been a blast. I'm happy with what I've written. I feel like I've done good work and I'm proud of it and I'm proud of what it means to everyone who tells me it resonated with them. running up is despite the warning signs because that's another fic that grabbed by my the muse and wouldn't let go.

1! ♡ i knocked one of my front bottom teeth out on a swing set when i was about five. i’d seen a bunch of cartoons where kids hung upside-down by the knees on jungle gyms (like this) and thought it’d be so cool to do that on the metal cross bar of a swing set, but i fell backwards and threw my torso forward in a panic so i smashed my face off a metal bar instead! ended up moving the roots of my adult teeth so i had to get braces from first to third grade to keep my teeth from absolutely destroying my gums, then braces from sixth to eighth and invisalign when i was in college because my teeth were never actually straight rip

2! ♡ a lot of you probably know this by now but i’ve gotten super into candlemaking—i blend my own parasoy from pure soy wax and pure paraffin wax and make container candles in those little 9oz straight-sided jars everyone uses. i’m also a giant dork and blend fragrances based on popular culture (so, yes, i’ve made candles inspired by nbc hannibal 🤡). anyway it’s a long and expensive hobby (candles have to cure for two whole weeks before you light them and i’m incredibly impatient) and it’s taking me a while to totally perfect it, but it’s incredibly fun and i love candles.

3! ♡ i’m super into foreign languages but haven’t had the focus or dedication to learn any fluently. i took spanish classes / lessons from the time i was a kid until halfway through high school, when i finished the curriculum, but have since lost most of it. picked up italian a little in high school and took some classes in college, got half-decently conversational while i studied abroad in rome, but since lost it. learned a tiiiiny bit of german, norwegian, polish, and greek through duolingo and fluenz. studied latin and ancient greek in high school and college, but i never really got good at greek and my latin is slipping. i’d love to dive back into one or all of them but i can’t seem to commit long-term 🙃

——— FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT! ♡

FLUFF: i do love fluff, but i’m not generally capable of writing straight fluff, or overly saccharine stuff. especially with hannibal, there’s always some element of angst or horror that comes along with it, so what’s fluffy or tender for him can often be read as somewhat horrifying to an outsider. that’s a super fun line to play with, though, imo!

ANGST: huge fan!! i do get a little wary of overloading on content that’s straight heavy angst, because i do like to have a healthy mix, but i’m always into angst. and it generally makes its way, in some measure, into most of the stuff i write so!

SMUT: depends! i almost never write it, mostly because i’m not super into smut for smut’s sake—i enjoy it with certain people/muses, but more those i’m comfortable with. honestly can’t remember the last time i actually wrote smut, but i’m not against it! it’s just not something i often go out of my way to seek out.

PLOT / MEMES! ♡ i love both!! i’m very shy and almost never hop into someone’s dms, so to initiate interaction, i frequently send memes. and i love answering them, too! it’s much easier for me than coming up with random starters. i also love plotting, but i’m very bad at just... coming up with ideas off the cuff. i love chatting about that plots and dynamics, but it generally comes easier to me if we’re engaging about our muses—discussing personalities, dynamics, etc. rather than just... ‘do you have any ideas?’ ‘not really do you?’ i’m kind of awkward and shy so it always works better for me if we just start off rambling about our / each other’s muses because imo that generally just leads to better engagement and idea-generating! also i’m horrible at just generally initiating conversation (it’s something i’m working on being better at but yeah)

Elaboration Points

* - I can do intensive plotting, but I prefer to remain flexible, so any plotting done, be it in depth or just quick overview, is never set in stone. My characters have minds of their own and sometimes they don’t stick to the plan. I find that the quality of my writing is better when I just go with the flow of things and don’t get too invested in making things work just perfectly. It’s also more fun for me when there is some spontaneity in role playing. I am a pantser (write things by the seat of my pants) at heart and that has always worked best for me and been where I thrive. That doesn’t mean I’m against plotting, just know that I consider plotting to be bouncing around potential ideas, not planning out every perfect detail.

* - One liners are harder for me because I tend to get wordy and like to elaborate. I still have fun with them sometimes if it’s just a quick little fun thing, but for more serious threads, I need more meat to the writing.

* - I have a thread tracker but sometimes things still get lost. It doesn’t happen often, but I can’t keep it from happening every now and then. I will never drop a thread without telling you, so if it’s been a hot minute since I’ve replied, just remind me (maybe send a link if I need it) and I will get to it.

* - I try to do at least some replies every day. It doesn’t always happen, but I do try.

* - Sometimes I can get to a reply pretty quickly if I’m on a roll, not always tho. This is luck of the draw.

* - Just because I see the chemistry right away doesn’t mean I like the characters to see it just as fast. I like some build up to make it realistic and find that falling in love instantly tends to just be puppy love or crushes, it’s not actual romance and it’s a bit childish in my opinion, to be perfectly honest. Give me at least a little bit of time for my muse(s) to get comfortable with yours.

* - That being said, sometimes the chemistry is just really strong and happens fast. If circumstances are right, I might just go for it head first if it happens naturally. This is entirely dependent on how our muses get along tho.

* - I love cute ship fluff and smutt and will definitely RP a lot of it, but that’s not the whole point and it’s not my only focus. I also really love other sorts of relationship dynamics, including friends, family, and even enemies.

* - Sinday asks are open to anyone, but writing out actual smut in threads is something I have to be comfortable with both my writing partner and the ship. It’s difficult for me to just throw my muse(s) into porn without plot. I like a pre-established relationship first and some context.

* - Smut is actually something I am very new to writing. I’ve been told I’m fairly decent at it, but I’m still learning my style with writing sexually explicit content. I’ve been trying to write more of it lately just to help me with developing those skills, but again, it is not the main focus of my RP blogs. I’m not against it, but it is by no means a requirement.

* - Honestly, there is no schedule. I just write whenever I have the time and motivation for it. Often times I end up replying to threads when it’s super late at night or early in the morning before dawn, but really, who knows when I’ll be around.

* - A lot of the time I only lurk. I try to get on tumblr every day, but sometimes my activity is just liking things other people have posted. My mental health doesn’t always allow me to do more than that in a day, but I do try my best to post at least something every day, even if it’s small and useless.

* - Still getting the hang of open starters and don’t have time to make very many. But I’m always open for RP meme starters, both sending and receiving. And I am slowly working on getting more open starters written.

disclaimer of course: i’m not bi! so i’m not an Authoritative Source on bi rep and what people want to see more of. i do actively seek out stuff about lgbtq+ characters, specifically girls and women, so i have some recs! however, i’ll also be adding some things that some bi folks i know have recommended because while lesbians and bi women have a lot in common, these are at the end of the day representing them, not me :)

extra-super favorites will be bolded! i’m putting this under a read more because... i read a lot of books. and recommended a lot of them.

books:

her royal highness by rachel hawkins-- this book is a pretty easy read-- don’t expect any massive revelations about life from it, and you’ll have a good time!!! essentially, a bi texan girl named millie, after having her heart broken by her friend-turned-sort-of-gf, goes to boarding school in scotland and ends up rooming with the princess, flora. if this sounds outrageous and sappy, that’s because it is! and i love it! sexuality isn’t a BIG part of this book, but it’s discussed, and it’s just a generally fun enemies-to-lovers story about a bi aspiring geologist and a no-fucks-to-give lesbian princess and them falling in love!

fried green tomatoes at the whistle stop cafe by fannie flagg-- hello this is actually my favorite book! unlike hrh it is... a LOT to read. it essentially follows 2 stories-- one about a housewife named evelyn and her friendship with an old woman named ninny threadgoode who she meets at the old folks home her mother-in-law stays at, and the other about the stories ninny tells her about her sister-in-law idgie and her partner, ruth. the book was published in 1987, and ruth and idgie’s story is set during the great depression, so they aren’t actively labeled as lesbian or bi, but it’s made obvious enough through coding and the fact that ruth has relationships with men prior to idgie while idgie spends her entire childhood pining after ruth. both storylines are fantastic-- they have a lot to say about the lives of southern women in the 30s and 80s, and about race relations at both periods. i’ll warn you that there are depictions of extreme racism and of abuse, but it handles both delicately. it’s a critical piece of southern literature, and a landmark for lgbtq+ storytelling. as a bonus, my copy has a bunch of great recipes in the back, so if you read it you might chance upon an edition with those in it. if you like poignant period pieces about wlw relationships, women losing their damn minds, and abusive men getting what they deserve, this is the book for you! you will sob. this is a fair warning.

you should see me in a crown by leah johnson-- i haven’t personally read this one, but i’ve heard great things about it from everyone i know who has! an anxious black bi girl in indiana has to win prom queen at her mostly-white school in order to get enough scholarship money to go to the college of her dreams, but ends up falling for mack, another girl running for queen.

@landlessbud wanted me to shout out red, white, and royal blue by casey mcquinston-- you’ve almost definitely heard about it before (first son and prince of wales, enemies-to-lovers with a side dish of political drama), and it is primarily about a mlm romance, but nora is a fabulously fun bi girl side character and there’s a lot of great stuff about figuring out your sexuality in it.

leah on the offbeat by becky albertalli-- i’ve read a lot of complex thoughts on this book, and mine are... i like it! it’s flawed, sure, and i wish it had handled a few things a little better, but you know what? it’s cute as fuck! leah is a fat bi drummer, and she’s super cool! abby is a great love interest, and she goes through a whole bi realization throughout the book. all in all, it’s just a fun wlw high school romcom with a couple solid dramatic beats and a lot of goofball shenanigans. also, if you were an american girl kid??? one scene in this book will make the entire experience worth it for you.

harley quinn: breaking glass by mariko tamaki and steve pugh-- hey, we’re in graphic novel territory now! this book is RAD. a really neat look at gentrification, community solidarity, giving people what they deserve, and fantastic lgbtq+ found families. teenage harleen quinzel is taken in by a group of drag queens, and is caught between two sort-of love interests-- mysterious vigilante the joker and classmate and community activist ivy-- and the different forms of protest and resistance they represent. the art here is STUNNING, and it’s a great read!

laura dean keeps breaking up with me, by the great mariko tamaki with art by rosemary valero-o’connell-- the vast majority of the characters are lgbt, with a lesbian main character, and the supporting cast including a bi nonbinary character, a bi girl character, and two mlm characters! this is mostly a piece about modern lgbtq+ teenagers and the way toxic relationships take over our lives. it’s one of the most cathartic things i’ve read in a LONG time, and especially if you’re at a point where your sexuality feels kind of vague, this is a great read because it embraces that vagueness by not needing to clearly label the characters and celebrates whatever point of clarity the characters are at. probably some of the most gorgeous art i’ve ever seen in a book, with a beautiful black-white-and-pink color scheme and a really neat approach to visual storytelling.

movies:

i don’t watch many movies, because i get bored really quickly hskdhskhds. but the movies i DO watch are usually gay!

wowie zowie its fried green tomatoes again!-- fannie flagg came back to adapt this into a film and HOT DAMN is it just as good. the plot is primarily the same, with some stuff obviously cut or trimmed to make it a two hour movie instead of a 450 page books fhsjdhsjhds. mary-louise parker plays ruth!!! it got a GLAAD award and an oscar nomination, and god it’s good. there are a couple scenes in here that i think are going to be in my mind until the day i die. the level of pure butch energy that idgie radiates in this film is a one-hit k.o. and it KILLS me.

birds of prey-- listen. this is not a profound movie. harley’s bisexuality isn’t emphasized, and romance is basically nonexistent in this movie. there is some... quite graphic violence. that said, this movie is so fucking fun. it’s mostly just a bunch of women fucking up everyone who crosses them while margot robbie gives a gleeful performance that you can just TELL she enjoyed the fuck out of. the last 20-30 minutes of this movie are the absolute best part, with a long sequence that kind of reinvented what an action/superhero movie could be for me. again, bisexuality isn’t a massive part of this-- it’s mentioned, and then harley just continues on in her gloriously campy outfits and breaks peoples’ knees. again, i CANNOT overemphasize just how fucking good the last 20-30 minutes are. this movie knows what it is and it embraces it. also, women beating people up in costumes that don’t horrifyingly objectify them is always a plus!

imagine me & you-- i’d be remiss if i didn’t mention this one, considering it’s probably one of the most iconic wlw romcoms. a woman named rachel, while at her own wedding, meets a florist named luce, and they fall in love. it’s a very sweet look at questioning your sexuality when you were already secure in it, and rachel’s husband wins “most genuinely understanding guy in a wlw movie” award. it has a lovely happy ending, and articles have been written about the importance of rachel being a bi character who a) gets a happy ending and b) isn’t shamed for figuring out her sexuality later on or slutshamed. this is just... a sweet movie. it’s the romcom a lot of us need in our lives. also, a LOT of floral imagery.

tv shows:

ok, i’ve got a confession. i reaaaaaaally don’t watch much tv. seriously, the only shows i’ve watched a substantial amount of recently have been parks and rec, schitt’s creek, the good place, and gilmore girls. i have a really REALLY short attention span.

that said, eleanor from the good place is bisexual!! the good place is a really wild ride, it’s half afterlife comedy half philosophical musing, and it will almost certainly make you gasp, laugh, think, and also probably cry. also, eleanor is just buckets of fun and she, like many of us, is often blown away by tahani (jameela jamil) and her beauty.

ummm shows i haven’t watched entirely or at all but that have bi women in them and seem pretty good: black lightning, sex education, jane the virgin, arrow.

if you haven’t already watched it, do not believe what people are going to tell you about watching glee. it will drag you into a pit of despair and white men rapping, and it’s quite biphobic to top it all off.

1. Themes will vary with this blog. Mystery Incorporated is PRETTY dark at times, so it’ll be what you expect there. To that end, dark themes, violence and maybe swearing.

I will try my best to tag everything. These will be under the format of swearing tw. If you’d like me to tag anything specific, don’t hesitate to ask through anon / inbox / im!

I don’t have any triggers but I do ask you tag all of your NSFW (sexual) content.

Mun is of age, and as such I won’t be writing anything of the sexual nature with minors.

2. I’m private, which means I only write with mutuals (this is for my own sanity / comfort; everyone’s cool!). I’ll write with canon, oc, and crossover characters.

Although I’m private, when it comes to following people, I’m selective. We don’t have to have known each other prior to write!

As for following back, I usually take a week tops to do so - but if you’ve hit up my promo, I go through that eventually.

If it’s a crossover, I have to know the fandom and be at least a little bit confident with it. This is so I’m able to work with you, our thread and have muse for it.

I follow the tag #trappingguy. If there’s anything you want me to see, like dash commentary, just tag that and x-kit will alert me of your post! I may respond to ic stuff ic stuff if I’m feeling it.

In that sense, I’m chill with dash shenanigans with most folk, not just mutuals!

Absolutely no godmodding. It ain’t fun, fam. If you’re not sure what this term means, do look it up. This includes powerplaying, metagaming, and other things of that nature. This applies especially in fights if they happen (I’m chance-based and hope that you are too).

3. Please don’t rush me for starters or responses.

PLEASE understand that I have blogs galore and my muse tends to fluctuate; this can mean I’m everywhere at once and can end up neglecting a blog or two. It’s nothing personal; you know how muses are!

I have a full-time job (and I’m trying to get into screenwriting in my off-time) so sometimes I’m scrapped for time or exhausted. I’m also an introvert who deals with anxiety and depression, thus that may affect how much / how often I roleplay. If I don’t get chance to respond to anything ic or ooc, it’s nothing personal! Promise!

Chances are, I’ve probably has seen that bit of interactivity and just haven’t gotten around to responding yet.

My roleplaying style being para/multi-para, I may take a while to respond. I hoard drafts like a dragon - it’s really just the motivation to write and ship those out.

I hoard asks, but sometimes can’t find muse or interest for all of them. If it’s been a month or two, generally assume I’m not interested / can’t find muse for it. You’re free to send another though!

I answer asks from anyone - personals, rp blogs and anons. I’ll answer non-mutual asks occaisonally but I won’t be making threads out of them

4. Shippings? If they’re of similar age, sure!

If I don’t happen to be interested, don’t force anything on my character.

I do not ship incestuous ships. Do NOT follow/interact if you do.

The ship has to have chemistry; I’m generally shipping trash, but if they don’t click, they don’t click, sorry.

This is a multi-ship blog, meaning there will be more than one ship without them conflicting with eachother.

If you want to ship and I already have a ship of your choosing going with a duplicate, please don’t hesitate to hmu! My ships aren’t exclusive and each character/relationship portrayal is unique to me!

Relationships are eternal until you deem otherwise. If you’re not interested in a ship anymore, just let me know!

5. Whilst I am of age, I’m not aiming for sexual content on this blog (and will not be dealing with fetishes). The occasional joke is fine, but anything beyond that makes me uncomfortable, and I typically don’t recommend pulling it with my character if you’re interacting with me.

6. About reblogs…

I am not a meme source, and reblogs clog up my activity. Please reblog any memes you find on this blog from their SOURCE. The exception to this rule is if there is no source; go ahead.

I don’t feel comfortable with Personals reblogging my IC or OOC posts, so please don’t do that. If I put something in the fandom tags for whatever reason (bar promos), you’re free to, though.

This goes for my art too unless it has the tag ok to rb, but otherwise only the person I drew it for can reblog it. If you wanna’ reblog something, I DO put it on my art blog eventually!

A few times is fine, as it happens, but repeatedly breaking these rules will result in me soft blocking you.

I try to participate in reblog karma as much as I can, but always reblog from the source/a meme source.

If a post or ask is for you, you’re free to reblog it to save it though - but only if you’re an rp blog!

7. I’m a para / multi-para blog, novella if I’m adventurous and have time. Whilst I may roleplay crack threads with shorter responses, this does not apply to all threads I write. This means:

I write my replies as detailed as I can muster, and length can range from 1 paragraph to 6.

Short responses (such as one-liners) in more serious threads where I’ve written a decent deal can instantly kill my muse for that thread.

Whilst I’d prefer for partners to at least somewhat match my length, it’s entirely up to you - just try your best and make sure you give me enough to work with. ♡

If my muse happen to go nuts out of nowhere - like, overboard - don’t stress too much about matching him.

8. Threads! You can yeet asks, memes, and even starters at me if I’ve liked a call! I’ll obviously have my own you can like.

You’re free to like starter calls even if we’re not mutuals; I can check out your blog that way. I still only write starters for mutuals though.

Starter memes are the BEST way to interact me because they just yeet a prompt at my face and really help me write starters. If you see me reblog one, send one!

If you want a certain verse, lemme’ know! Otherwise, I’ll probably default to a post-canon verse.

If you want to turn an ask into a thread, go ahead!

I don’t recommend writing starters for me unless we’ve discussed something. I don’t like to leave anyone hanging.

Please don’t assume things about my muse. If you’re uncertain about things, ASK.

IMs are open to mutuals, if you want to do any in-depth plotting. I also have Discord if that’s more convenient for you!

For the moment, I’m sticking PRIMARILY to Mystery Incorporated canon with some other media sprinkled in. It’s just because Fred has a lot of media to cover and I haven’t binged his stuff yet.

9. Guidelines on mains and relationships:

If we’re mutuals and we interact a lot, you’re welcome to ask me if I’d like to be your main!

Please don’t be offended if I deny, though; I typically want to pick those I trust to be my mains as well as people I can comfortably write with.

Not limited to them! I roleplay with duplicates galore so don’t be afraid to hit me up if you want to interact!

Pre-established relationships are a-okay in my book; if you have an idea for a relationship between our muses we can work towards, hit me up! I reblog those pre-established relationship memes every so often too. Romantic relationships link back to the shipping guidelines.

Also, friendship/family/rivalry relationships are EXTREMELY valid to me - so don’t feel scared about asking for them!

10. If you have any issues, please let me know and hopefully we can resolve it!

Mun is actually super nice, so don’t be afraid to hit her up!

I am absolutely terrible with IMs and Discord. I either respond quickly or days later, depends on my mood. Social anxiety tends to interfere with this (and more recently exhaustion from work) - but honestly, if you’ve sent something, I’ve likely read it and just haven’t gotten around to it yet! It’s nothing personal; trust me!

Please leave me out of drama; I’m here to have a good time, as is everyone else, and it pains me to see people arguing.

This is a little different with callouts - if I see anything on dash pertaining to any problematic users, I will take it into consideration and rb it if I believe them to be harmful.

11. To retierate, I tend to follow those that:

Write para and whom I feel my muse would click with.

Seem chill? Tone can really intimidate me honestly.

Have rules and about pages! Knowing the boudaries of my rp partners is super important as well as their lovely muses! Sometimes rules are enough, though, if you’re going to write the about eventually.

Tag their nsfw.

Don’t have massive icons - ie, have rp icons that take up an entire text post like 500x500 or something. I don’t want to clog the dash and it’s tiring to resize them.

…also, if I follow your hub blog (provided it doesn’t double as a personal), it generally means I’m cool with any blogs that are attached to it.

12. On threads…

If you’re not interested in a thread anymore, and would like to drop it, please let me know! I’d feel terrible if we’re both not having fun with it or if partners feel overwhelmed with the amount of threads we have.

Honestly, unless I let you know, our threads have no expiry date - so no need to worry about me dropping them without telling you. I can just be quite slow sometimes.

13. Mun does not equal muse! Anything my muse might say does not reflect on how I think unless I explicitly say so.

14. Know that if I follow you, I WANT to interact with you.

I literally couldn’t care less about follower counts. I care about YOU guys and our interactions.

Part I - The House on The Hill

Summary: Y/N Y/L/N spends her first hours at Hill Manor attempting to begin her tenth paranormal thriller, but finds herself completely distracted. As she stood in the reaching shadows of the towering spires and peaked eves of the mansion, a breeze too cold for August’s heat snatched the hem of her skirt and whipped it about her knees. Dark grain rested for centuries upon darker stone, both worn grey by nature’s unforgiving touch. And in the center of that ancient façade stood an entry consumed by foreboding shadows like the gaping maw of a slumbering beast.

Y/N tore the page from her notebook and tossed it aside, forgotten the instant it hit the floor. Slumped over the writing desk, she stared at a fresh page of lined paper, blank as her mind.

Well. Mostly blank. Blank but for that damned mansion. Get away, they had said. Take a vacation, go someplace quiet. You just need some inspiration.

Quiet. When had quiet ever helped her write anything? It only served as a distraction as far as she was concerned. An empty space in her head for nuisance thoughts to take up residence.

Like the ridiculous mansion in which she sat.

The idea of finding inspiration on a trip wasn’t foreign to Y/N. Quite the contrary, she had written her first best seller that way. In Manhattan. Not in rural Minnesota, surrounded by nothing but forest while staying in a rundown mansion-turned-bed-and-breakfast.

Okay, maybe she exaggerated. The mansion had come highly recommended, and the surprisingly young and numerous staff ran a tight ship, too. Not a spec of dirt or dust marred any surface, a request for afternoon coffee had been served at great haste, and by four o’clock on the first night, the scrumptious aromas of dinner had wafted up the stairs to her room directly above the kitchen. And in two nights, the owners would host a large party for family and friends, as well as current guests, to celebrate the mansion's bicentennial birthday.

Far from quaint, her quarters spanned half the eastern wing of the house. A living space and a bedroom, as well as a full bath with a separate shower and tub rivaled most apartments in which she had ever lived. Ornate furniture and art filled the space, encroaching on crowded and only narrowly avoiding such a trespass.

Bronze sconces, ornate hearths surrounding massive fireplaces, and the darkest wood from floor to ceiling all amounted to one giant, fucking distraction. After weeks filled with useless attempts to start her tenth and final novel, Y/N had hoped beyond all hope that her writer’s block might meet its match there at The House on the Hill.

But after three hours, she decided to call round one in favor of writer’s block. Despite the number of times she had retied her bun, adjusted her glasses, and straightened her shirt, the start of her story eluded her. They typically did, and too often for her tastes. Y/N had in mind the perfect paranormal thriller, filled with suspense, mystery, and plenty of terror. But where to start? In the middle of the fray, leaving the reader confused, yet intrigued and desperate to learn how Natalie had ended up the owner of a haunted house? Or at the beginning, when her parents died under strange circumstances after having bought the place to flip, and the mess had fallen into her lap?

Neither met her standards. Too many stories about haunted houses started in the thick of things, right at the apex of fear, then fell flat and left the reader bored. But worse would be to start at the beginning only to drone an on endlessly about how everything came to pass on one neat, single-threaded plot.

As Y/N stood from the desk with a forceful shove of her chair, she entertained the thought of starting at the end, with Natalie responsible for a house full of vengeful spirits bound to her and her blood for eternity. That might work. But the risk? While she was a successful novelist, Y/N knew that sort of creative license to be reserved for other authors. Particularly, authors that were not women.

That might be reason enough to do it anyway.

Maybe.

The growl of her stomach interrupted her internal debate, her hunger exacerbated by the succulent scents that filled her nose. A full stomach would help. And a fresh pot of coffee. A little conversation with the other guests might relinquish her muse, too. Without any further delay, she strode to the door and rounded it for the wide hallway lined with gaudy art and overstuffed furniture.

The smells of the kitchen faded as she neared the main staircase where the two wings of the mansion met in a grand entry illuminated by a monstrous chandelier. A once heavy layer of carpet covered the near black wood of the stairs, dampening her footfalls as she descended into the foyer of the mansion. Two guests stood at the bottom of the staircase, an elderly woman in deep conversation with a young man, his dark curly brown hair and priest’s cassock destiny contrasting each other. Effervescent stories bubbled to life, she a long-time widow of a farmer and he a newly minted priest at the local chapel.

As she passed them, she overheard their debate: it might rain tomorrow.

Eavesdropping any further served her only if she were researching the small talk habits of Midwesterners. Not that the social elite of New York fared any better. Want something banal to discuss? Fall back on the weather.

But Y/N desperately needed the opposite of banal. She craved spice, juicy details and salacious rumors. The stuff that ruined presidential candidates. Or vaulted them into office. Those glimpses of private indiscretions fueled her writing. She created entire lives from little nuggets of unrest. Sure, she wrapped it up in the thin veneer of the supernatural and paranormal. But the underlying implications, the intent in her themes, remained the same.

So, when she spotted a burly middle-aged man towering in the shadowy corner near the entrance to the dining room all on his own, she gravitated to him like a moth drawn to a flame. Dirty fingernails, cracked hands, and corded muscle screamed manual labor. He, she decided, was the mansion’s groundskeeper. You didn’t get shoulders like his doing paperwork. Sunken eyes stared through a shroud of fog only he could see, and he hardly paid her any mind as Y/N strolled past into the dining room. He might serve her story well, but he would need work. A lot of work. Probably more than it was worth.

Another sigh followed her into the dining room where she found the remainder of the guests already seated at the long table that stretched the length of the room. Laden with plates, table cloths, and autumnal centerpieces, she could hardly see the heavy mahogany beneath it. But a quick peek under the layers of fabric revealed a pristine and delicately carved corner, and she cursed that anyone would think to cover such a beautiful work of art.

Though disheartened, Y/N found solace in the matching chairs, their work on display beneath another tremendous chandelier and a line of candelabras on the table. And when it came time to choose her seat, she had but to glance at the guests for single beat to decide.

At the head of the table a young woman sat in a sharp pantsuit, a recorder in her hand and held out to the woman on her left. The two could not be any different. If the recorder stood, Y/N assumed she’d barely reach five feet. The woman speaking into the recorder had to be nearly six feet tall and all muscle, with broad shoulders and defined arms.

Between the interviewer’s jet-black hair, bright red lips, and piercing blue eyes, Y/N wondered how she had landed a job as a reporter and not some sort of movie star. The blonde amazon, she determined, was an athlete of some sort. Again, nobody ended up with shoulders like hers sitting on their ass all day.

A third woman sat across from the blonde athlete and stared without reservation at them both, her big for eyes sliding between the two of them as they spoke. Y/N couldn't blame her, what with the reporter’s Hollywood style and the athlete’s power dominating the room, it was any wonder that the remaining two guests has buried themselves in their phones.

Two men sat beside each other to the left of the athlete but paid her and the reporter no mind. Directly on her left sat the shorter of the two, although neither man could be considered small. The man to his left sat an easy four inches taller than him, with long brown hair and a long pointed nose. Though they paid her no mind as she sat across from the taller of the two, their subtle, wordless communication indicated an old, deep relationship beyond that of mere guest of the bed and breakfast.

They must get the honeymoon suite all the time. Poor sods. Anyone with half a brain who took a little longer than a cursory glance would know they were brothers.

The thought vanished as she reached for her glass and the ring on her right hand clinked every so gently on the crystal. The shorter man startled so, the athlete shot him a glare that he tried to return with as much dignity and charm he could muster. On Y/N it would have worked. But the athlete turned back to her interview without another look and the man turned back to his phone.

The taller man, however, had not reacted but for the flick of his eyes—Jesus Christ, what color were they?—as they snapped to hers. He watched as she raised her glass to her lips, stared as she drank, and his phone slowly drifted to the table, the screen darkened and turned face down.

Whatever had those men on edge, it seemed serious. Civilian clothes and high anxiety suggested air marshals or rangers. Maybe even detectives. Maybe they were investigating a crime. Like a murder. Good thing there wasn't a butler. Y/N had no stomach for murder mysteries. She wrote best about the long dead. Not the recently departed.

Antiquers? They had that charm about them, disheveled, road weary, worn. Liked they lived in their car. But just as she was about to create another ridiculous history for the two men, Mr. Long and Tall reached across the table as he smiled and spoke.

“Sam.”

With her glass returned to the table, she took his hand in a full grip only to realize too late his grasp dwarfed hers. Double-down. Stay confident. A coy smile crooked her lips as she squeezed his hand and said, “Y/N.”

“That's quite the handshake,” Sam said, his own subtle smile peeking through.

“That’s quite the pickup line,” she retorted.

Sam laughed as he released her hand and averted his stare. “I'm out of practice,” he muttered as he glanced up from beneath his prominent brow.

A likely story. “Not with that look, you aren't.”

A hard backhand connected with Sam's shoulder, wiping the smile off his face as Sam turned to his right. But before the shorter man could put words to the irritation plain on his face, the cook entered the dining room and announced dinner. A stern glare earned him a threatening look from Sam, but the two settled as the cook mentioned homemade pecan pie for dessert.

“Okay, this job was officially worth it,” he muttered too loudly. Sam's angular glare flicked from Y/N to the other man, who merely shrugged. “Just sayin'. Glad there's pie. Even though I think we're jumping the gun here.”

Another flat glare from Sam sealed it; they were definitely brothers.

The remaining guests filed in one by one until the table sat full, the priest on her left and the elderly woman on her right. Mr. Shoulders took the remaining seat at the end of the table, his distant gaze still staring straight ahead and unseeing.

With all guests present, dinner commenced, and Y/N bet her life on finding the perfect start to her best novel yet.

1. Themes might very with this blog. It’ll typically be SFW, but there will likely be dark themes, violence and swearing.

Things will be tagged! I’ll try my best, anyways. If you want something in particular tagged, please let me know through ask / anon / im. The format I use for tagging is, for example, tw: swearing.

I don’t have any triggers but I do ask you tag all of your NSFW content.

That said, I won’t do anything NSFW - gore is okay, though.

I’m of age.

2. I’m private, meaning I only really roleplay with people I follow. This is so things don’t get too overwhelming and for me and to cement who I want to interact with. I generally follow most people if our writing clicks, though.

If I don’t follow you and you’d like me to check out your blog, lurk in my notifs. I’ll definitely see you and make note to check you out. Same with promos, or you can just rb them to a sideblog / send an ask with its url. I can’t gurantee I’ll follow, but I’ll certainly check it out!

If it’s a crossover, I have to know the fandom and be at least a little bit confident with it. This is so I’m able to work with you, our thread and have muse for it. You’re free to ask if I know of a fandom or not! I’ll have a list at some point.

I follow the tag #coolxnxblue. If there’s anything you want me to see, like dash commentary, just tag that and x-kit will alert me of your post! I may respond to ic stuff ic stuff if I’m feeling it.

In that sense, I’m chill with dash shenanigans with most folk, not just mutuals!

I can be picky with OCs. But rest assured, if you’ve followed me/interacted with my promo, I’ll always give your pages a read.

3. Please don’t rush me for starters or responses.

Please note the mun deals with anxiety and depression, and has part time jobs which are honestly tiring - this might affect how frequently she roleplays.

Chances are, I’ve probably has seen that bit of interactivity and just haven’t gotten around to responding yet.

My roleplaying style being para/multi-para, I may take a while to respond. I hoard drafts like a dragon - it’s really just the motivation to write and ship those out.

I answer asks from anyone - personals, rp blogs and anons. I’ll answer non-mutual asks occaisonally but I won’t be making threads out of them

4. Shippings? Heck yeah, I ship lots with my blue son! Just make sure they’re of similar age pls.

If I don’t happen to be interested, don’t force anything on my character.

I do not ship incestuous ships. Do NOT follow/interact if you do.

The ship has to have chemistry; I’m generally shipping trash, but if they don’t click, they don’t click, sorry.

This is a multi-ship blog, meaning there will be more than one ship without them conflicting with eachother.

Relationships are eternal until you deem otherwise. If you’re not interested in a ship anymore, just let me know!

5. Whilst I am of age, I’m not aiming for sexual content on this blog (and will not be dealing with fetishes). That stuff makes me uncomfortable, and I typically don’t recommend pulling it with my character if you’re interacting with me. Nonetheless, should it arise, I will tag it appropriately as nsfw //.
