Dark Lovers ML AU

So, this is my second AU idea, and the main premise is Adrien learns about what his father is doing and joins him, and Marinette is a twisted adrenaline junkie who got the Black Cat and fell in love with the dark Adrien, so she started helping him make new akuma victims so she could fight more. Change below:

Adrien never made it to school in Origins, Marinette was given the black cat, and Luka was given the Ladybug. Marinette is still initially good, just more prone to losing control of her emotions and poor impulse control, so more suited to the black cat. 

She becomes Lady Noir and meets Mister Luck (Luka). She finds the being a superhero to be a release from the stress of normal life and a way to take out her aggression, especially on her bully. She eventually becomes an adrenaline junkie, uncomfortable whenever she isn’t Lady Noir or fighting.

Adrien finds the peacock, and soon discovers what his father is doing, confronting him using the peacock, ending in Gabe being injured and Adrien fully aware of the existence and power of the miraculous, and his father’s plan.

Adrien, in this AU, isn’t the sunshine child anymore after years of neglect and borderline abuse, so he plans on eventually getting his father out of the way and taking the ultimate power himself.

To do this, he starts building trust between himself and Gabe, and starts going to school and the general public in order to assist in the creation of potential akumas.

He gets close to everyone in order to determine what would best cause the most pain and create the strongest akuma.

Adrien notices that Marinette will occasionally have emotional outbursts, is the primary target of Chloe, and seems to constantly be on the edge of breaking down, but hasn’t been akumatised yet and makes it his goal to figure her out.

Marinette, trying to find something to distract her from her boring normal life, notices a vast increase in the amount of akumas coming from her school, and stronger akumas, since Adrien started attending, and whether it is a coincidence or not, it is something that will distract her for a little bit.

Before they actually get close, Adrien enacts the second part of his plan: getting his father out of the way. now that his father trusts him, he is training him to use the butterfly miraculous, and eventually leaves him alone during one such attack. Adrien then leaves with the brooch to ‘confront’ the heroes after a particularly nasty akuma, forcing Gabe to step in and save him with the use of the peacock miraculous, but with that, and the previous injury, when Adrien gets back, he is able to remove his father from the picture and ensure he will never interfere, even if he does wake up. He’ll be comfortable next to his wife.

He gets Natalie to cover up that Gabe is missing, and she does a great job at making sure no one realizes Gabriel Agreste is not around anymore.

Adrien and Marinette start to get close after this, and Mari falls for Adrien. She figures he has some connection to Hawkmoth and confronts him as Lady Noir. Adrien is ready to deny her and fight, but she reveals that she wants to secretly help him to create more and stronger akuma for her to fight, plus that she is love with him.

Adrien, seeing that she is not lying, reveals the brooch to her and welcomes her, asking who she really is, cue Mari reveal. They start dating after this, since Adrien had started to fall for her as well, but they keep it a secret.

Shortly after, Lila appears, and they can both tell she is lying but figure they can use her for even more akumas. Mari causes Lila to be akumatised, but target Mister Luck, then Lady Noir secretly causes her to develop her grudge against ML. Even if her lies won’t cause akumas, she can be a strong backup.

The two of them end up conditioning most of their classmates and a few other characters to constantly be on the edge of akumatising, and causes many of them to develop a hatred against the heroes. They even manage to get some addicted to being akumas,

They also manage to track down Fu and incapacitate him as well, taking the other miraculous and using them as they see fit, giving them to unworthy people to cause widespread distrust of the heroes. 

Chloe becomes the Bee and is public about it, but they help encourage all her worst traits. 

Lila gets the fox, but her jealousy and need for attention is fanned and exaggerated. 

Both of them are easily manipulated by the duo and usually cause more harm than good when transformed, which causes a feedback to both of them in different ways when they hear how people hate their other selves but are encouraged by Adrien and Lady Noir.

Mari also manages to discover that Luka is ML and that both versions of him are in love with both versions of her, so she starts leading him on in order to create another manipulatable variable for them. 

Once Mari found out about Luka, Adrien knew he could have ultimate power whenever he wanted, but he wanted to perfect his akumas first, plus it was fun to see how dark he could make the ‘City of Lights’, and Mari was having fun fighting their creations, so he couldn’t take that away until she got bored with it.

They are very much equals in their relationship, Mari contributing as much to creating akumas and their ideas for ultimate power as Adrien

Adrien does end up akumatising Mari at one point, but that was because she was interested in how it felt. She decided she would want to do it again, if they passed out more temporary miraculous to actually competent fighters in order to give her a fair fight. She does become an akuma multiple more times, actually defeating full teams of miraculous wielders only to de-akumatise because she was bored now.

Their crowning jewel was when Mari convinced ML/Luka to do a reveal with her, complete with him full out confessing to her after the reveal, only for her to break his heart and reveal it was all an act all along and that she was in love with Adrien, who is “a million times better than you could ever hope to be”. This mixed with a new set of public backlash against heroes, specifically him, and Juleka ending up in the hospital, and with him being transformed when it hit, created their most powerful akuma yet, in which Mari mixed as many miraculous as she could to take him out, and it was a fight that lasted hours.

After, a defeated akuma Mister Luck is confronted by Lady Noir and the police to have him step down, in which Mari take his miraculous and give the police a fake.

They also turn in a comatose Gabriel Agreste a few days later with a fake butterfly miraculous, claiming Lady Noir was able to track that last Akuma, found him, and tried to take him down. He didn’t go down without a fight, and threatened to akumatise her if she didn’t leave, so she did what she had to do to protect Paris.

Mari and Adrien now have all the miraculous and a few ideas of what to do with them and ultimate power

So, that is all I have for that one for now. I don’t have any other full AU ideas at the moment, but I will probably post any new ideas I have or headcanons for other’s AUs, if they are open to other people adding headcanons.
