List of transformers I first believed were she/hers:

Prima: means first in Italian, but feminine. I thought this for a very long time (Lmao female cousin for my Spanish speaking fellas)

Sunder: idk the lips in the panel where he was screaming. I still struggle using he/him because i was like "oh crazy evil girl i like her"

Rung: idk the first time I saw him I thought it was... a robot version of Velma

Nightbeat: idk

I think someone else too but I don't remember since most of them were like: "oh girl! Ah no..." in the span of 10 seconds

I am very sad about keferon update because somehow i already know something terrible happened to Prima.

Maybe he died from natural causes

Maybe he did a Prometheus or something and gave his life to protect other mechs

Maybe he was captured and his matrix taken from the council

I dont know but it makes me sad.

Something i most certainly dont want is him actually being the first demon but i am very interested of seeing the story of the first demon on this world, how it happened, what is actually happening, and stuff.... could it be Megatronus as he is usually THE fallen prime ?

I like the idea of him capitalizing all first-person pronouns, like "are you talking to Me?", fits his vibes. Could also work smthin with M and/or W in there? So itd be like:

Does the Magnusverse have a world soul?

Disclaimer: This post is pure rambling and esoteric concepts and has little to do with anything concrete in the show.

After I found an obvious link to the collective unconscious in this post, I started to wonder about its wider implications for TMAGP universe. Some alchemists and secret societies (such as the Rosicrucians) have a concept of a world soul (anima mundi), a higher state of being, the One Mind or Monad. This is a state of perfect unity that exists beyond our physical reality, the origin point of our world. It's usually symbolized as a circle with a dot or a smaller circle in the middle of it (which are similar to the alchemical symbols for sun and the Philosopher's Stone). It's closely related to aether or quintessence, and aligning with it is the goal of spiritual alchemy. It also aligns with the Jungian idea of collective unconscious and Platonic idealism, as it contains every concept, spirit and soul, detached from their physical reality. I even found some texts implying that some Rosicrucian orders considered it their ultimate goal to unite humanity with it:

On one level this can be seen as the Fraternity’s Greatest Work of alchemy, to obtain the Philosopher’s Stone (which is a metaphor for spiritual attainment) with which the “General Transformation of the Whole World” may be accomplished. [Source: The website of S.R.I.A]

Incidentally, this is what I postulated to be the final goal or Magnum Opus of the Magnus Institute. It's starting to feel more and more likely now. In this universe, the Institute is basically an alchemical fraternity. Full-Fear Alchemist: Brotherhood.

In the season 1 finale QnA, Alex talked about sending Jonny a video on fifth dimensional vectors as a part of his initiation, for lack of a better word. This is the fifth dimension. We have the usual three dimensions, then the fourth dimension of time, and then the fifth dimension of endless possibility, which holds within it everything. Every universe, all sets of physical laws, all realities, all archetypes, everything. And sometimes it bleeds through to our specific reality. Like a canvas of quantum particles that sometimes get tangled and travel to the same direction (across universe lines, like the Magnus Institute being built everywhere), until a conscious observer collapses them into distinct realities.

How does this track with my Prima Tria theory?

Some alchemists seemed to think that Mercury is how the Monad manifests in reality. In other words, we have the possibility or representation of something in the Monad, and then we have an echo of it in the physical reality, manifested as Mercury. It sort of works as an intermediary or a liminal agent between purely ideal and purely physical. I have come to view it as a kind of solution that dissolves into itself both the archetypal ideals and humanity's own perceptions. I also still consider it to be the principle that dissolves boundaries and reality itself. If the Unity or Monad contains all the different realities (including the TMA one and whichever one Sam's in), then the Mercury that's abundant at the Hilltop Centre is dissolving a hole into the fabric of reality, like a slowly working acid. The important distinction would be that Mercury doesn't only "cause things to go weird", but it allows for people's fears, thoughts, ideas and attitudes to manifest. It's like a mirror that reflects what people are expecting or fearing the most.

It's a bit more difficult to slot this in with Salt and Sulphur. Salt is the physicality and stability, so theoretically it should be able to slow down the dissolution. And yet we have cases where concrete buildings (arguably the embodiment of stability) become liminal spaces. There are other interesting cases where people who are metaphorically locked in place interact with what I consider Mercury (like the guy trapped in a Zoom call or the old married couple being trapped in a flooding lock museum), but I might get into those later after I've got my head straight. Then again, we do get a Hilltop custodian (who embodies being stuck in one place and metaphorically becoming part of the place itself) keeping the mercurial fluctuations in check. Until he becomes a not-so-metaphorical part of the Hilltop Centre.

I feel like I'm still missing an important piece of the puzzle. I'll keep mulling it over and filling my head with tons of unnecessary research into alchemy until my computer finally eats me too.

Your favorite character with your less favorite miraculous

Look at me, I used to salt on her so much and now she's my fav,, character development :P

It was hard to pick my fav so I restricted myself to just the show's characters because I would not have been able to pick between my ocs (Blanche and Stephan to be specific lol)

The miraculous was a bit easier, now, it's not because I dislike the miraculous but it's because of just how much the kwami/suit was a pain in the ass to draw, and since I'm still struggling with Voltt (and Orikko doesn't exist LOL) it was really simple

Mermaid TF One MegOp AU

- Cybertrons Primes are split between land and sea.

- the land primes: Megatronus, Solus, Alchemist, Vector, Amolgomous, Quintus, and liege Maxima

- the ocean primes: Prima, Alpha trion, Nexus, Micronus, Zeta, and onyx

- the land and sea have their own Matrix’s as well that provide energon to their territory.

- Megatronus holds the land matrix and Zeta holds the ocean matrix

- Zeta is the son of Prima and Megatronus

- Merformers can go on land but only if bestowed the ability by the ocean matrix. (Primes can naturally shift between land and sea)

- Transformers can go into the ocean just fine cause they don’t need to breathe but the ocean floor is treacherous and swimming is near impossible for their heavy metal bodies. (Land matrix can give transformers the ability to shift into merformers)

- both ruled over their respective territories and were at peace. Until the quintessons invaded and Sentinel betrayed the primes.

- The war forced a lot of Merformers to go on land and help with fight including the ocean primes.

- Sentinel successfully killed all of the land primes and most of the ocean primes. Prima and Zeta are the remaining primes due to them being unable to join the attack in time.

- The reason Prima and Zeta didn’t arrive was because of Prima was pregnant with his second son.

- Once Prima learned about the Quintessons “defeat” and the death of the primes including Megatronus, as well as the loss of the land matrix Prima had been inconsolable.

- After Sentinel claims the title of Prime in iacon he demands that the ocean Primes give the transformers energon as their matrix is now gone. Zeta agrees and provides the transformers with enough energon to keep them comfortable.

- Sentinel and Zeta meet in secret more and more but one day zeta doesn’t return and the ocean matrix appears in Prima’s chest.

- after learning it was a transformer that killed Zeta Prima forbids all Merformers to the surface and cuts the resources sent to the transformers

Present Day

- Orion Pax is the 2nd son of Prima and Megatronus and his existence is hidden from sentinel

- Prima is extremely protective of his only son and dotes on him a lot much to the Merformers dismay

- D16 is still a coggless miner and was recently able to get a spot on the fishermen crew and is excited to finally see the surface and its ocean.

- because of Prima forbidding Merformers from the surface the transformers are able to fish freely.

- Orion and Elita-1 have snuck out around the same time to see the ships and the transformers.

- unfortunately a storm comes in and the ship tips and D16 falls in the ocean and Orion goes to help meeting D16 for the first time.

- D16 wakes up on shore getting over looked by a medic who tells him he was very lucky he washed up on shore but D16 is more focused on the red and blue tail dipping back into the water.

- a few days later D16 ends up breaking protocol and sneaks onto the surface late at night to see if he can find the person who saved him.

- Orion sees him while he’s watching the sunset and curiosity gets the better of him and he goes to say hello.

- D16 is in awe of the Merformer and asks if he’s the one who saved him to which Orion admits to.

- D16 and Orion startsneaking out more and more to see eachother.

- after a few days Orion says screw it and shifts for the first time into a transformer and knocks D16 over trying to walk to him for the first time. Also revealing that Orion is a prime to D16. (Orion takes the form of a coggless miner)

- Orion begs D16 to show him around Iacon city who begrudgingly agrees.

- Orion immediately makes friends with a lot of other coggless miners making D16 a ‘little’ jealous

- Orion learns about the archives and that no one is allowed in them and Orion sees that as a challenge.

- Orion sneaks out even more and using Elita to help make sure Prima doesn’t find out and starts breaking into the archives to help the transformers find the land matrix.

- story continues like the beginning of the movie with Orion even getting D16 a Megatronus prime sticker (Orion finds it hilarious that D16 admires his sire)

- D16 still admires sentinel Prime as well but Orion gets a creepy feeling from him.

- the story is mainly the same including Orion tricking D16 into the iacon 5000 race

- it isn’t until that sentinel sees Orion in person that things take a small turn

But I wont spoil it, I might end up making a part two to this or even making a fic for it if I get the chance

Last year I read Richard Schmid's Alla Prima and here's the part that most stuck with me (bolding mine):

Never knowingly leave anything wrong on your canvas. What do I mean by wrong? Wrong is anything on my canvas that doesn 't look like what I intend it to look like. I don't mean to suggest that wrong means any deviation from a strictly literal rendering of my subject. On the contrary, wrong as I am using it here means deviation from my perception of a subject or what I wish to have in my picture. Whenever you put something on your painting that bothers you or doesn't look true, do not leave it there and go on to something else thinking it doesn't matter. It does matter. It is the same as deliberately leaving ungrammatical words in writing. Why do it? I try not to do it, and it bothers me when I let it happen. (It doesn't happen by itself.) ... Once you are into the serious stuff – past the opening shots – and you know where you want to put everything, don't make random strokes anymore. They amount to aimless daubing in the vain hope of somehow accidentally making the right one. It is pure speculation, and the law of averages is overwhelmingly against you.

I incorrectly cached this as "simply do not paint the wrong thing" over the past year, but even that "draw the rest of the owl" advice was very good. It turns out I frequently am painting the wrong thing in such a way that I can stop when I remind myself to simply not do that. Quite surprising.

the thing about the ni no kuni wiki is that most of it is fine. and it's definitely better than it was a few years ago - i know a couple of the editors and have made a handful of contributions myself

truly one of the main issues with it though is the fact it uses the prima guide for information. this is where like half of the misinformation on the nnk wiki comes from. THE PRIMA GUIDE IS BAD. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PRIMA GUIDE FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN EXTREMELY BASIC INFORMATION

princess prima garon (she/they/one) is the archetypical heroic good princess whose family was descended from a chosen one hero that defeated an evil overlord and sent them into exile. prima is the new chosen one to defeat a new evil: vindicta nox (any pronouns), queen of the neighbouring evil kindgom and descendant of the evil overlord prima's ancestor ousted. instead, they fall in love. (also turns out the kingdom's not that bad, just has a "villainous" aesthetic)

1. at first their families were. concerned. but over time stuff worked out and now they get along fine/their countries are allies

2. see above, i think it was harder for friends to get over distrust though

3. don't know, hmm.

4. i imagine prima's most relevant ex might be the lancer to her leader in their hero-team? but either way they're on good terms and that was a while ago, just ended up being kind of incompatible for a committed relationship. maybe prima dated around as well but this would be a childhood friend... turned first love or something? 👀 considering making them arospec and realizing that later/vindicta feels "different" from the rest. vindicta is definitely also a different type of person from the people prima thought they should be dating... xe's much easier to be around as a Partner. vindicta may have a previous ex that they also ended up not being too compatible with, but that ex had a worse attitude about it and it ended on worse terms.

5. initially, they don't get many chances to sleep in the same bed. however physical touch is vv important to them (totally not projecting /s) so when their families and the people in their kingdoms became more okay with it they spend the night together alllll the time. usually at vindicta's place because he's, yknow, actively ruling crows country and travel arrangements are a pain in the ass. ANYWAYS prima loves sleeping tightly curled up into vindicta. or the two spoon, they probably have one of those couples' pillows so your arm isn't crushed

6. they ABSOLUTELY give each other nicknames/pet names. vindicta calls prima riri, while they call xem vin. vindicta uses a lot of the typical flirty villain pet names: "my dear", "my sweet", etc. this happens to fluster prima a lot, though it's hard for one to admit the obvious fact that one finds it attractive. prima isn't big on pet names except using the ones her gf calls her sarcastically sometimes, which it finds kinda funny. sometimes they jokingly call each other their full names and titles.

7. vindicta likes how strong-willed and determined her riri is, almost stubborn. however, this can almost be exasperating and sometimes prima doesn't know ones own limits. less decided/articulate on what prima likes and dislikes about vindicta

8. not gonna go into too much detail about this (i am a minor) but prima: vindicta's overall height/build (vin is the taller one), and voice if that counts as physical vindicta: probably into collarbones? and the uhh waist/stomach area yk.

9. didn't know what this was, looked it up. seems to be about commitment and also just, happiness in a long term relationship? so i guess so.

10. haven't built out too specific of a timeline yet but they've definitely had big fights over what i mentioned in #7 with vin getting frustrated over prima being kinda self destructive and almost obsessed with "the right thing"

11. idk how to articulate this 😭

12. the respective royal families/courts freaking out, crises in both of their kingdoms, probably a death in prima's family

13. as i mentioned, both really value physical touch. they also both do a lot of words of affirmation (building off of hero/villain banter). besides that vindicta leans more gift giving and prima more acts of service/quality time. in terms of unique expressions of love, they like sparring with each other and helping improve the other's swordsmanship. prima enjoys trying to cook things that vin might like and generally like... presenting skills she's learning to him. meanwhile vindicta likes surprising darks gf with gifts related to their interests in particular, dark really enjoys their reactions.

14. idk what really counts as a "little thing" but? prima: smelling petrichor after rain. finding shapes in the clouds, moon, or stars. experiencing hypnogogia before falling asleep. running your hand along cold, polished stone. enjoying a drink so warm it almost burns your tongue. vindicta: happy vestibular stimming. waking up as the sun rises. noticing the seasons change. aspects of prima's style of magic usage: a pinkish yet golden light, a hard-to-describe tingling feeling.

15. prima definitely picked up a bit of that "flirty villain" vibe in her mannerisms, while vindicta has grown a bit more lighthearted and energetic in conversation. they copy each others' stims.
