I am very proud to say I am finished with this project that took me 2 years to complete! The title is "The Last Duelists", an old style choose your own adventure.

If you embark, you live a Prideshipping story unfolding from Japan to Los Angeles in a Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) game, readable and playable on your phone, computer, or on paper.

Your decisions shape the journey as you navigate through many discoveries. Every choice-link-turn leads to a unique path, with diverse outcomes, good and bad. Whether you're at home or on the go, you can immerse in the story and guide Seto and Atem through it all.

Beautiful illustrations will meet you along the way too!

I return with another bit of Yugioh fanart, because I'm in a brainrot and why not. I wanted to do up a concept for an Atem comes back fic I'm writing on Ao3. Mainly just wanted an excuse to draw him with all the insanely pretty gold jewelery. I had so much fun with this picture, but you would not believe how long I spent fiddling with that darn puzzle. Couldn’t quite get the angle right. And the cards! Ughhh 😫

Anyhow, for anyone interested, the fic is called Karma Chameleon by TheRainbowKnight. It's a Post-DSOD Prideshipping fic with some *ahem* smut (it's rated Explicit, just forewarning).

Description:

Through sheer determination and too much money, Kaiba has done the impossible and traveled to the afterlife to get his rematch with Atem. However, before their duel can conclude, Kaiba is forced to leave and offers to take Atem with him. In a split-second decision, Atem takes him up on his offer and they are swiftly returned to the land of the living. Now that he's back, Atem is left wondering if there's a place for a long dead pharaoh in modern day Japan. Had he made a mistake?

Tedious, Poorly-Designed, and Pathetically Constructed

Contrary to popular belief, Kaiba Manor was not continually abuzz with a hundred servants.

There were no diligent maids milling about to sweep away the cookie crumbs Mokuba left on the coffee table, nor did a butler put the games room back together after Kaiba had torn it apart to find a particularly rare edition of Smallword. For the sake of privacy, all but the bare essentials had been forgone. That left security, the gardeners, and Ricardo, the family chef. A small staff of ten who were as carefully chosen as Kaiba's duel monsters.

And so, at two in the morning, Kaiba sat at the dining table alone. The overhanging lights had been switched from a blinding white to a dull blue, and on the mahogany table, a hundred cards were lain. His elbows rested beside them, only half in spite of Gozaburo, as blue eyes flitted from Blue Eyes to Light Technomancer to Sentient Scale. For every card in Yugi's deck, he had chosen a perfect counter. It almost felt anticlimactic. He would be crowned King of Games once more, not during a wildly expensive tournament, but on a random Saturday.

"Seto, what are you doing?" The quiet voice came from Mokuba, whose ordinarily messy hair now stood at even odder angles. His orange pajamas were just as fluffy, with World's Coolest Brother haphazardly stitched onto the shirt in white. It was hideous by all accounts, but Mokuba seemed to like it.

"What are you doing? You have jiu jitsu in the morning." There was an unnecessarily accusative lilt to his tone, and after a pause, Kaiba sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm... sorry. I'm just trying to get ready for a duel."

"Battle City ended two months ago and you've been working tirelessly ever since," Mokuba said, slipping into the seat beside him. "You are allowed to take a break, you know."

"It hardly counts," Kaiba said raising his head imperiously. "With Yugi and his stupid tag-alongs larping the whole time, it's a wonder anyone could focus on the actual game. I would have had half of them disqualified for intimidation, and the other half for being idiots, if the god cards weren't up for grabs."

"I still can't believe he let you keep Obelisk once it was all over."

Seto Kaiba did not take handouts, but when one of the most formidable cards in the game had been slapped into his hand, with some mystical mumbo-jumbo on how he was destined to use it, he played along. What kind of duelist would walk away from such an opportunity? When he stared at it, brows furrowed, Yugi quickly added that he had earned it by giving him fiend sanctuary. Kaiba wondered whether he would live to regret that trade.

"Seto," Mokuba said, waving a hand in front of his face impatiently.

"What is it?"

"You were staring into space again."

"I have a lot on my mind, Mokuba. With this upcoming duel-"

"Is this really just about the duel? I know you've never liked losing, but I don't see you hunting Pegasus down for a duel."

"Pegasus is a filthy cheater."

"Then what about Noah?"

"Another cheater. He used you as a meat shield."

"There were several turns after. I thought he dueled pretty well!"

"Which doesn't matter. I still would have won."

"Alright, Seto. I'm going to grab some chocolate milk. Do you want a glass?"

"Your dentist said no sweets after midnight. Gremlin rules."

"But my doctor said I need more calcium."

"...Fine. Get me a glass too."

Mokuba did not dare to set it on the table, even with protective sleeves on each card. Instead he handed it directly to Kaiba, before sitting on the kitchen island. He sipped his milk, swinging his legs in an almost childlike manner. Mokuba was getting taller, and by now, his sandals almost brushed the floor. For three minutes, they sat together in a comfortable silence while Kaiba reviewed his magic cards. Tomb of the Dead had been a terrible choice for this particular deck. Vengeful Sacrifice would work far better.

"I'm not trying to bother you, Seto," Mokuba began.

"You could never bother me."

"I'm about to, though."

Kaiba narrowed his eyes, finally looking up from his cards. "...What did you do?"

"Nothing, nothing! I was just thinking..."

"That is a thing people do," he said as he trudged over to the kitchen, glass in hand. Kaiba took Mokuba's as well, placing them in the sink and running the tap. There was no need to do dishes, not when he had spent the better part of an hour making a drone for that exact purpose.

"How long have you liked Yugi?"

"I wasn't aware that I tolerated Yugi," Kaiba replied offhandedly, leaning against the counter.

"He's the only person except me that you do tolerate. I've reviewed the Battle City footage. You sacrificed your Blue Eyes to save him. You seemed to have a nice enough time while talking to him, too."

"If you're suggesting the two of us are actually friends, save it. The last thing I need is to be lumped in with those losers."

"I'm not saying you're friends. I'm just saying that if you'd like to have him around more, I'd be fine with that. Movie nights, our board games on Saturday morning... if he's going to be part of the family, he should join in. And if we happen to be inviting people over, Rebecca seems really nice. Did you know she likes capumon too?"

"Mokuba, slow down. What do you mean 'part of the family'?"

"What I mean is that I love you and you don't have to pretend. You're allowed to have your boyfriend visit."

Kaiba bristled. Were it anyone but Mokuba, and had he spoken those words with a fraction less sincerity, there would have been a string of profanity long enough to make Bandit Keith blush. Instead, he took a deep breath and left the kitchen, sitting at the nearby dining table once more.

"And I'm telling you, I don't like Yugi. Not in that way, nor in any other way."

"Forget I said anything, then," Mokuba replied, looking towards the window and frowning. The expression spoke clearly enough. Kaiba's younger brother believed he was lying, and as stubborn as he could be, no words would change that. "I just think it's very telling that with the rare few hours you get to yourself each week, you either spend them thinking about him or dueling him."

Seto Kaiba seldom slept, but within his room, everything was designed to maximise his comfort. From the pale blue walls to the black, reflective floor that lit up with every step, he had chosen every detail personally. Instead of a bed, there was a sensory deprivation tank at the back of the room. It was easier to change the solution than bed sheets. He lay within it, staring at the ceiling for the next few hours. Certain priorities would have to be adjusted. Mokuba clearly needed a little more attention, and he would get it.

But Kaiba would not cancel his duel. He never did.

MY MANS BEAUTIFUL HSJFK

Istg Kaiba looks better every time I draw his ass. I did two versions for this one. One with Kaiba in his normal outfit, and one with Kaiba wearing the "Light Kaiba" version I made for my Prideshipping fanfiction, first seen in Chapter 15:

Atem chuckles softly, seeing Kaiba dressed in his classic white coat, although it must be a new version, as the inside is gray-blue instead of magenta. He also realized Kaiba was wearing a bright blue turtleneck instead of the black one he usually wore with the associated coat. He had been wearing a lot more bright and light colors lately, rarely wearing dark shades anymore, and Atem had a feeling his improved mood and personality had a say in it.

If you ask me the hardest part of drawing Kaiba's outfit is the KC logo. I'm being completely honest XD

Dying was supposed to even the score - ch 30 “There might be…a Wanted notice on my head in this District for stealing fountain water,” Marik said meekly, lowering his head in shame. “I always leave at night, and no one ever notices me or remembers me long enough to arrest me.”

Secretly furious, Bakura spared the elf a kind smile back and watched Seto cast a muffling spell on either side of the alleyway and lean against the crumbling wall, giving him a fanged grimace, “yeah, he needs the safe town.”

“We all need the safe town,” Bakura glowered, sitting down beside Marik on the step to catch his breath, his heart pounding his chest. “Let them run around headless, and we’ll leave without being noticed. We need to exit through the back of the town to travel through District 2.”

“Where Yami is,” Seto said instantly, and Bakura sighed, nodding. “Yes, where Yami is.”

“I want to meet this Yami,” Marik said cheerfully, and Bakura gave him a tired smile.

All of Me; All of You FANFIC UPDATES

Hi, everyone!

Sssssoooooooo I'm behind. Again. It seems like every time I set or reset a publishing deadline for myself I end up not meeting it >< So sorry about this. I just wanted to say at Kaiba and Kisara's story IS NOT DEAD! I have so much more planned for these two lovebirds and there WILL be a chapter 15, 16 and beyond. Since writing and publishing a chapter every other week doesn't seem possible (but purp why don't you just write ahead so that you always have something queued shut up you're crazy) I tried for once a month, and while that is STILL POSSIBLE FOR THE MONTH OF JULY, I just wanted to say that it might not be until... August... ish....

I won't go into details but July has been... really really difficult, and while I LOVE All of Me and am so desperately in love with this rendition of Kaiba Seto, he is a... very hard voice to tap into when shit in the real world gets a little too real, as it did this month. I have temporarily turned my attention to lighter projects, but it's only temporarily, I promise.

So, as further apology, HERE'S WHAT YOU HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO

An episodic crack AU featuring established Pride (yes yes I know but BLAME THE DARK PRIDE OF DIMENSIONS DISCORD SERVER AND MY FRIENDS THERE. Also I have a whole theory on the Kaiba---> Kisara---> Atem canon connection that maybe one day I will write down but know it's there in the meantime).

A post-dsod one-shot that will feature a very Emo Kaiba and be both Blue AND Pride (see?)

The strong possibility of All of Me; All of You turning from a story to a series with subsequent sections that don't fit into the main story.

New edits and slight tweaks made to the 14 chapters of All of Me that are currently published.

I’m excited to post today, because I posted my first fanfic, exactly 20 years ago! So today is officially my 20th anniversary of trying to help Kaiba sort out his (love) life!  It’s been an amazing, wonderful journey and I’d like to thank everyone who’s taken it with me.  At the risk of sounding sappy, I’m thrilled and proud to be a part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom community (with a shout-out to the prideshipping wing of it) and have truly treasured each and every one of those 20 years.

Kaiba headed to the garage, got in his car, and swung around to pick up Atem. Kaiba pulled up to the Mutou’s house at the back of the game shop.  He leaned on the horn.  Atem and Yugi were inside watching a movie.

“Finish the movie,” Yugi said.  “I’ll go see what Kaiba wants.”

“How do you know it’s Kaiba?” Atem asked, his eyes still on the television screen.

“Who else would be honking the horn like they’re going to break it?”
