Just occurred to me that "weird" is the left's comeback to the right's "woke," probably going to get overused until it's meaningless too but it is fun to watch an entire political party melt down over it

#woke never really stung anybody on the left because the right never even knew what it meant #pretty shitty that they've managed to misappropriate it so dramatically though #in the whole “republicans are weird” discourse i'd like to see more focus on policy and less about the candidates as people #like trump and vance are definitely weird but at least in trump's case that's a part of his appeal #what actually makes republicans weird is shit like calling their wives mother and policing women and kids' health
