(just copy pasting the description on the video ^o^) Animation made for Jael Peñaloza !
This project was started as a "2 week" project the day of the original UV being cancelled announcement though as with most things I went a little overboard. Oops hehe. But I'm glad I did.
There of course has since been an update on the situation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC9Ob7pHUlA ); but never the less I was still determined to finish, especially when a lot of what was said in the update video was also brought up in the animation!
Thanks for being a wonderful inspiration Jakei! Whatever you do choose to do next, I'll be here to support it! Just take care of yourself and keep doing what you enjoy.
Everything in this was hand animated in blender, no mo-cap or phys engines, and since there are so many wips of everything from start to end, I'll probably be posting them here and there and right up a mini thing about it all on my site eventually! :D (like the time-lapse of 3 hours of animating hair physics condensed down into 2 mins o-o )
After 2 months straight of animation I'm happy it's finally done ^o^ Sorry it took so long to come out (to those that knew in the spaces I hangout in), especially since I paused all my other projects to put this on top priority! I'll be getting back to avi making soon after a er… A well needed break o-0 May be streaming a bit the next couple days when I do!
Thanks so much for reading this though (if you are reading this now hehe) and watching! Check out all the talented people below and their own work!! ♥ ----------------------------------------------------------

On a stifling April afternoon in Ajmer, in the Indian state of Rajasthan, local politician Shakti Singh Rathore sat down in front of a greenscreen to shoot a short video. He looked nervous. It was his first time being cloned.
Wearing a crisp white shirt and a ceremonial saffron scarf bearing a lotus flowerthe logo of the BJP, the country’s ruling party—Rathore pressed his palms together and greeted his audience in Hindi. “Namashkar,” he began. “To all my brothers—”
Before he could continue, the director of the shoot walked into the frame. Divyendra Singh Jadoun, a 31-year-old with a bald head and a thick black beard, told Rathore he was moving around too much on camera. Jadoun was trying to capture enough audio and video data to build an AI deepfake of Rathore that would convince 300,000 potential voters around Ajmer that they’d had a personalized conversation with him—but excess movement would break the algorithm. Jadoun told his subject to look straight into the camera and move only his lips. “Start again,” he said.
Right now, the world’s largest democracy is going to the polls. Close to a billion Indians are eligible to vote as part of the country’s general election, and deepfakes could play a decisive, and potentially divisive, role. India’s political parties have exploited AI to warp reality through cheap audio fakes, propaganda images, and AI parodies. But while the global discourse on deepfakes often focuses on misinformation, disinformation, and other societal harms, many Indian politicians are using the technology for a different purpose: voter outreach.
Across the ideological spectrum, they’re relying on AI to help them navigate the nation’s 22 official languages and thousands of regional dialects, and to deliver personalized messages in farther-flung communities. While the US recently made it illegal to use AI-generated voices for unsolicited calls, in India sanctioned deepfakes have become a $60 million business opportunity. More than 50 million AI-generated voice clone calls were made in the two months leading up to the start of the elections in April—and millions more will be made during voting, one of the country’s largest business messaging operators told WIRED.
Jadoun is the poster boy of this burgeoning industry. His firm, Polymath Synthetic Media Solutions, is one of many deepfake service providers from across India that have emerged to cater to the political class. This election season, Jadoun has delivered five AI campaigns so far, for which his company has been paid a total of $55,000. (He charges significantly less than the big political consultants—125,000 rupees [$1,500] to make a digital avatar, and 60,000 rupees [$720] for an audio clone.) He’s made deepfakes for Prem Singh Tamang, the chief minister of the Himalayan state of Sikkim, and resurrected Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, an iconic politician who died in a helicopter crash in 2009, to endorse his son Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, currently chief minister of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Jadoun has also created AI-generated propaganda songs for several politicians, including Tamang, a local candidate for parliament, and the chief minister of the western state of Maharashtra. “He is our pride,” ran one song in Hindi about a local politician in Ajmer, with male and female voices set to a peppy tune. “He’s always been impartial.”
While Rathore isn’t up for election this year, he’s one of more than 18 million BJP volunteers tasked with ensuring that the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi maintains its hold on power. In the past, that would have meant spending months crisscrossing Rajasthan, a desert state roughly the size of Italy, to speak with voters individually, reminding them of how they have benefited from various BJP social programs—pensions, free tanks for cooking gas, cash payments for pregnant women. But with the help of Jadoun’s deepfakes, Rathore’s job has gotten a lot easier.
He’ll spend 15 minutes here talking to the camera about some of the key election issues, while Jadoun prompts him with questions. But it doesn’t really matter what he says. All Jadoun needs is Rathore’s voice. Once that’s done, Jadoun will use the data to generate videos and calls that will go directly to voters’ phones. In lieu of a knock at their door or a quick handshake at a rally, they’ll see or hear Rathore address them by name and talk with eerie specificity about the issues that matter most to them and ask them to vote for the BJP. If they ask questions, the AI should respond—in a clear and calm voice that’s almost better than the real Rathore’s rapid drawl. Less tech-savvy voters may not even realize they’ve been talking to a machine. Even Rathore admits he doesn’t know much about AI. But he understands psychology. “Such calls can help with swing voters.”

DAY 3 (favourite clans/archetypes)
today's prompt is just a long textpost + my competitive decklists lmaoooooo since somewhere down the line, i accidentally became a sweaty tryhard vanguard player
warning: this post is really long but i would appreciate if even one person reads my ramblings about projecting onto characters really hard and my descent into coping the tcg full-time
tl;dr i like luard and shiranui a very normal amount
shadow paladin - luard
i definitely can't go without first mentioning my eternal main, shadow paladin luard. and there is a story behind this except it's like half just me being unhinged and projecting really hard but what is that but the spirit of vanguard itself. so i sat down to learn the actual tcg a while back and i was like "okay i need an avatar card. whomst will do" and eventually settled on luard since i liked his card art/aesthetic and his premise being "a member of this group of wizard researchers who study how to shapeshift into dragons". as a researcher and as a fan of shadow paladin from ever since i started watching this show, i was sold. oh yeah i also read the luard lore sometime after this (forgor how long after) but yeah i was definitely committed after that lmaooo yall should go read his lore you will not regret it hslkdfjklsdjlsk
at some point i also rewatched g next and for some reason, i noticed kazuma a lot more that time and the projection became real. like. man. we're a lot alike and at some points it was honestly kinda uncomfortable to watch but i think that also changed my perspective a bit lmao. anyway i'll be cringe i'll own it: my avatar card is luard.
if yall are interested in my v-prem list here it is: https://decklog-en.bushiroad.com/view/LKRM
nubatama - shiranui
so like when i watched g next for the first time, the character i did the most projecting on was actually kazumi, not kazuma. nowadays it's a pretty good mix of both + luard, but i am also very much attached to kazumi and his deck.
tbf the main reason why i picked it up was because i thought dominate was a really funny mechanic and also i first built it in vgzero (rip that game btw) because it was meta and also can be pulled from one set. but like. i really liked playing it in zero and it was the only deck i mained from that point forth. flash forward to when they announced history collection (histcolle) in en and all my competitive player friends were talking about nui making its way back into the meta and i was like "wait this is perfect actually zero is dying but i can finally learn premium with a deck i like".
anyway the deck is really fun except when rinne just rips out your opponent's shield tickets smodge. my only "complaint" is that when people lose to nui they are unreasonably saltier than if they lose to any other deck. it's the villain deck curse i think but at the same time it's pretty funny to watch people mald over mizukaze.
uhh the decklist is honestly probably gonna change but i'm pretty happy with it rn: https://decklog-en.bushiroad.com/view/9CWP
#cfvweek2023#i didn't have space to mention but i ship shiralua so hard you cannot comprehend how#i believe in the postcanon#also yall can imagine how insane i went when they announced the stride decksets#omgomgomgomgomgomg the stride decksets release in like a month in jp#aaaaaaaaaaaa#shiralua is real yall#i am delusional#blue speaks#oh yeah also yall if anyone wants to learn the tcg i'd be down to teach!!!

Sri Krishnaprem, formerly Prof. Ronald Nixon from England, taught literature at Benaras and Lucknow universities before he became a Vaishnavite sannyasi. He lived in Almora in the Yashoda Mai’s ashram. The story of his visit to Tiruvannamalai in 1948 is as told by his friend Dilip Kumar Roy.
He entered the room where the Maharshi was reclining and sat down among the devotees to meditate. As soon as he did so, he heard a voice saying over and over again, Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? He tried to ignore it but eventually, he replied mentally, “I am Krishna’s servant.” The voice still went on to ask, “Who was Krishna?” He answered, “Nanda’s son. He is an avatar, the one-in-all, the resident in every heart.”
Next morning, when he sat down in the hall with other devotees, the Maharshi gave him a lightning glance and smiled at him. He closed his eyes. Then on a sudden impulse, he found himself silently asking the Maharshi, “Who are you?” When something made him open his eyes, he found that the Maharshi’s couch was empty. He closed his eyes again, but in a moment he opened them. The Maharshi who was reclining in his usual place gave him a fleeting smile and a meaningful glance.
V. Ganesan in his book Moments Remembered records:
Sri Krishnaprem would always carry a shoulder bag in which he kept in a glass-case the images of Radha and Krishna. Only while going to bed would he remove the bag from his shoulder. He was a staunch Vaishnavite. He once quoted ‘Sarvam Vasudevamayam jagat’ (Everything is pervaded by Lord Vasudeva, i.e., Krishna) and asked Bhagavan, “Is not this the highest ideal?”
Bhagavan nodded his head in agreement and said, “Yes, Yes! It is an exalted state of Consciousness. Yet, who is it that thinks that all that is perceived is Vasudeva? Is it not you, yourself? While seeing the earth, trees and plants as Vasudeva, don’t you wish to see yourself as He? If you who see everything as Vasudeva, learn to see yourself as Vasudeva you will become Vasudeva Himself. If he who sees is transformed into Vasudeva, then that which is seen automatically becomes Vasudeva! Acharya Sankara’s drishtim jnanamayeem kritva (infuse perception with jnana) is simply this.”
Balarama Reddy in his book My Reminiscences records:
One evening, Srikrishnaprem was asked to sing bhajans before Bhagavan. About seventy-five devotees had gathered to hear him sing. He sang with deep, genuine devotion, even pronouncing the words with an Indian accent. All were moved by his renditions. Bhagavan later commented, “Here is one Westerner who embodies the intensity and devotion of a true Indian bhakta.”
- Face to Face
Selections from Krishna Prem’s Writings
Commentary on verses from the great Hindu scripture, The Bhagavad Gita
All beings follow their own natures. The Atman is the impartial Witness of all; good and evil are but empty words and the fight against the latter is in vain. What shall restraint avail since actions flow inevitably from the workings of Nature, and the Soul is but the passive witness of the phantom show?
The Atman, the One Self, is forever free in Its own being; Its apparent bondage comes only from self-identification with Its lower vehicles, the mirrors in which Its Light is reflected.
The only way to tread the Path, in reality, is by the knowledge of Krishna, of the Atman which is present as the unseen background of every action, of the smallest as of the greatest, of the action that sends the pen across this page as of the action that hurls a million men into battle. Just as nothing can move except within the framework of space, so nothing can take place except with the Light of the Atman, which yet is no more entangled in the actions than space is entangled in the movement of objects, and therefore Krishna says that those who know Him are freed from the bonds of action.
Pride implies duality, and all duality must be rooted out forever. Therefore the disciple is reminded that it is not as a personal refuge from the sorrows and pains of life that he must enter the fortress. Brahman is One and the same in all.
True concentration comes when the disciple is able to surrender himself to, and identify himself with, the Atman, that Self which is present as the unchanging Witness of every thought and of every sensation. It is only when this is achieved that the mind of the yogi becomes steady “like a lamp in a windless place.”

HOW MANY VISHNU AVATARS ARE THERE?
Reading time- 5 mins
In Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu, the preserver, and sustainer of the universe, is believed to have taken various avatars (incarnations) throughout history. These avatars serve a divine purpose, restoring balance and righteousness in the world. Let's explore the fascinating stories behind the ten most significant avatars of Lord Vishnu.
1. Matsya Avatar (The Fish Incarnation):
As Matsya, Lord Vishnu appeared as a giant fish to save humanity from a catastrophic flood. He guided the sage Manu's boat to safety and preserved life during the deluge, symbolizing protection and preservation.
2. Kurma Avatar (The Tortoise Incarnation):
In this avatar, Vishnu assumed the form of a giant tortoise to support the mythical Mount Mandara during the churning of the cosmic ocean. The Kurma avatar represents stability and patience.
3. Varaha Avatar (The Boar Incarnation):
As a boar, Vishnu rescued the earth goddess, Bhudevi, by lifting her out of the primordial ocean. Symbolizing strength and protection, the Varaha avatar restored order and ensured the continuity of life on Earth.
4. Narasimha Avatar (The Lion-Man Incarnation):
Lord Vishnu took the form of Narasimha, a half-lion, half-man being, to protect his devotee Prahlada from the demon king Hiranyakashyap. Narasimha is considered a symbol of divine wrath against evil forces.
5. Vamana Avatar (The Dwarf Incarnation):
In the Vamana avatar, Lord Vishnu appeared as a dwarf Brahmin to restore balance by curbing the arrogance of the demon king Bali. Through humility and righteousness, Vamana regained control over the three worlds.
6. Parashurama Avatar (The Axe-Wielding Incarnation):
Parashurama, an embodiment of Lord Vishnu, manifested as a warrior sage wielding a mighty axe. He eradicated the corrupt and tyrannical Kshatriya rulers to restore justice and righteousness.
7. Rama Avatar (The Ideal King Incarnation):
The epic tale of Ramayana narrates the life of Lord Rama, an exemplary ruler, and embodiment of righteousness. As Rama, Lord Vishnu defeated the demon king Ravana and showcased the ideals of dharma (righteousness) and devotion.
8. Krishna Avatar (The Divine Flute Player Incarnation):
The charismatic Krishna, a beloved deity in Hindu mythology, embodied love, compassion, and divine wisdom. As the central character of the Mahabharata, Krishna guided Arjuna on the path of righteousness in the Bhagavad Gita.
9. Balarama Avatar (The Elder Brother Incarnation):
Balarama, the elder brother of Krishna, represents strength and loyalty. He supported Krishna in his divine mission and was revered as a symbol of agricultural prosperity and power.
10. Kalki Avatar (The Future Incarnation):
The Kalki avatar is yet to come, as Lord Vishnu's final incarnation. It is believed that Kalki will appear at the end of the Kali Yuga (the current age of darkness and moral decline), riding a white horse, to restore righteousness and initiate a new golden age.
The avatars of Lord Vishnu are not merely mythical tales but carry profound symbolism and teachings. Each avatar reflects a divine purpose, illustrating various aspects of Lord Vishnu's role as the preserver and the protector of the universe. The stories of these avatars continue to inspire millions, imparting valuable lessons about righteousness, devotion, and the triumph of good over evil.

So, grab your metaphorical popcorn and settle in, for we're about to embark on a journey through the best Indian films of 2023, a journey guaranteed to leave you entertained, moved, and perhaps even a little wiser.
The Critics' Coronation:

This Tamil film transported audiences to a bygone era, offering a glimpse into the Chola dynasty's power and intrigue, and reminding us of the enduring power of historical epics.
· Aamis: This Assamese drama dared to be different, and critics lauded its unconventional narrative and nuanced exploration of gender and identity.
