Are you in any video game fandoms?
I... Hmm. I wouldn't consider myself to be a part of any game's fandom, I'm just not immersed enough in any of theirs culture and the like but I actually do really like video games. To share the time I spend playing them with people and be social with chat is much of why I stream after all. (Shameless plug here)
To give an idea of the games I love though: Kingdom Hearts 2 is still one of my all time favorite games and I am actually not half bad at the rando as on Crit (and without Data fights) I can actually get through a seed in usually about 2-3 hours. At least when I finish one... *sweats nervously* However, while I used to be a giant fan for KH, the creative choices in KH 3 finally broke me and while I've been a lot kinder to its storytelling on stream than I was when I first experienced it... Well, let's just say that I'll have to hear and see how good as GAMES future KH titles are before I pick them up where before KH 3 the only reason I hadn't played a game in the series was that I lacked the hardware to do so. I have an incredibly weird relationship with the Soulslike game genre where that I keep trying to do crossovers with them (multiple MLP ones and I began a Sekiro/TOH crossover a while ago that I give no promises to ever update) even though I can have incredibly mixed opinions about their gameplay. I do have to admit that for the fact that I love to explore spaces, nothing beats the Soulslike genre for me, whether it be Fromsoft or elsewhere doing it. My BIGGEST genre of game to play though? Turn based strategy. Whether this be your XCOMS, your deckbuilding Rougelikes like Slay the Spire or a good old fashioned JRPG, I just ADORE me some turn based gameplay. Speaking of, I'll actually end with a HUGE recommendation for an indie game that came out last month called Potionomics. It has a cute little card game that's very Slay the Spire in feel but with some fresh tweaks to it too for haggling, a really good storyline, an incredible cast but the thing that surprises me the most? I just enjoy crafting potions in the game and I find with most games like it, they lose me on the fact that the actual creation of your stock to sell and progress is usually the worst part but I get WEIRDLY INTO IT. It also means it takes me fucking forever to make progress in it and I loved the game so much that a few 5+ hour streams in a row of it physically obliterated me so I'll be getting back to it on stream in due time, I promise. ^^; But yeah, I like video games.
