@kurikurikurisu GIIIIIRL it's so funny to me that we kinda started interacting more on the last ebg for Rin and then I was like "she's a cool person I wanna fren.... 👉🏻👈🏻 but I shy...." took my sweet time to invite you to the server and turns out THIS ebg got us closer (I think? ehe?//hit) we didn't interact much in tumblr with each other's plots but bOY were we emotional support in discord, we really were in this suffering together 🤝🏻 mhm //nods nods 🤣 thank you so much for being interested in my lil silly plot and my girl aaaaaa

As for the "plot" and other things... (this got so long I am so sorryy;;;)

Well at first I wanted to do kinda a normal ebg, no plot or anything bc I don't think I have the smarts to do an elaborate game/story lmao and I kinda wanted to have more established s/i lore?? And then I realized hey I can use the ebg to introduce my s/i!!!

See I'd been working SO hard on her names lately, researching and studying in-game adepti lore and stuff and I though why don't I make it a simple game where the goal is to guess her name (with me giving hints ofc) and at the very start I had the idea of her losing her memories so she could re-discover/remember things about herself alongside the "players" learning them. Whoever character I got as my bias would help her and get to know her too along the way, even npcs (or in the rare case of me getting Dottore/Pantalone, probs be the villain for her memory loss lmao)

And then I got Kazuha. And it was so SO perfect. I took inspiration from Spirited Away with the plot point of having your name/memories/identity stolen and for some reason I remembered the whole Ino-shika-cho koi-koi card combo from Summer Wars I just had this vivid mental image of a scene where Kazuha dropped the biggest hint by writing the Kanji for Butterfly (Chō) which doubles ofc as the Hanzi for Butterfly/Crystalfly (Dié) written the same pronounced (and romanized) differently :3c

I was very proud of myself//hit also

I did not end up making haiku bc they are complicated but I at least tried to loosely keep/emulate the 3 phrases, phonetic rhyme and sensory elements while referencing my lil plot lmao

✧˖Originally I was gonna blame it on a playful tanuki or smth but I don't think they're powerful enough youkai lmao it was probably a kitsune.... we may never know ✧˖She was technically never in any danger yeah but imagine being lost with no memories and no way to know if you could get them back even because every person she met kept telling her they didn't know ofc she'd break down, or at least me, I'm very crybaby and neurotic sometimes//HIT ✧˖Yes this entire thing was technically Zhongli's fault since he did write her a letter addressed 亲爱的晶蝶 ("My dear Crystalfly/Jingdie") and that IS her name woops on a random note I kinda imagine he also signs with something like 你的龙 "Your Dragon" and vice versa with Crys ("My dear Dragon/your Crystalfly") sgcvgajsvcjhacbajkca //squeals kicks feets

And all this started because I was stressing over the fact that "Crys" is not an appropriate name for a Liyue character lmao, I debated for so long giving her a chinese name, but I didn't want to further make her an OC I wanted her to represent me/my blog (also part of me was and still is immensely worried I somehow insult cn ppl by being as some sort of weeabo equivalent or that I am "appropriating culture" or idk I may be dumb but I try to do my research and I prommy it does not come from a place of malice or anything I genuinely love genshin and Li and it's got me interested in a culture/country I funnily enough have somehow interacted with and have friends in but never really paid that much attention to ig...) and then I just had the epiphany What if I just reverse engineer and name her Crystalfly in cn? Lore would be that either her name got accidentally translated in documents a long long time ago and ppl started calling ehr Crystalfly/Crys and she rolled with it or she simply adopted the translation/nickname as her name for international settings, keeping her true name more private (hidden in plain sight tbh) p sure the only ones who know are the elder adepti (Ganyu/Xiao included) and Neuvillette (once he told her his real/first name) (ironically Crys may be harder to pronounce i other languages lmaoooo rip Fontaine)

Anyway this got way too long lmao sorrryyyyyyyy thank you everyone kith kith love y'all bye!! 💕

Synopsis: what if the prince of chalk himself is treating you, a long known friend of his. To a meal after he found you almost getting frozen near his lab in dragonspine. Only to realize, the prince of chalk himself have quite a unique dish he like to offer along with a new information that he can tease you in a name of experiment

You could have sworn it moved, it could very much still be alive at this point.  With a frown, you poke the dish with a fork. Picking apart each and every leg to see where you even start to eat.

“You know, it's not good to play with your food.” Albedo spoke, just entering his lab in dragonspine. his ashen golden hair seems perfectly fine despite what it has gone through in this forsaken cold mountain.

“I'm not playing…per say,” you retorted while thinking of a good word to put in. “Just, trying to see where to begin” is all you could say as an excuse, looking at the male his expression didn't even change one bit from his usual one. He hums. 

“If you're uncomfortable with how it looks, perhaps taking the head first would be a good start “ he suggests. “How about, no.” You were quick to reject his suggestions, albedo shrugs as he begins tidying up his lab. Looking back at the food, you mentally curse yourself for losing all of your food supply after fighting two fatui agents, to think that they would retreat while also stealing your bag is ridiculous… or you could say smart enough.

It's a good thing The alchemist was just coming up the mountain, only to see your pitiful existence, cold, hungry, and with a few small injuries, he is kind enough to offer shelter and food at his lab. is what you've thought to be a blessing, before he offer you smoke spider as a meal. Taking one final breath you stab one of its legs before putting it in front of you, a disgusted feeling tries to surface on your face, before you fight back and barely manage to keep your expression still…barely. 

‘it's alright, just for once. Just for once’ you assure yourself, Albedo have been kind enough to carry you to warmth, it will be rude for you to complain about the food now.

It's alright. maybe, the taste ... .would be rather ... .unique. A soft chuckle could be heard near you, only to come from Albedo himself. “That was a good expression you have, to think you would considering to eat it. I guess I was wrong about the other possibilities that you would outright refuse” he said in a light manner.

“Hey….” You said in a down voice, “you were playing with me??” You ask with disbelief, feeling defeated that you didn't see it coming. He smiled back before shaking his head, arm across his chest. “well…not particularly. I was just seeing if you would refuse to eat it. like how others did when I offered that dish to them. You could say, it was a little experiment “

You pouted while looking at him, putting the fork down and leaving the dish alone. “I've never consented to this experiment in any way, Albedo.” You pouted at him for doing such a thing. 

Albedo agreed, “that's true, so I apologize. I would just think you would refuse to eat it like the others. I'm sorry, for making you feel pressured to eat it.” he said before taking the plate away and replacing it with another one. This time it is a genuine dish made from fish meat along with vegetables.

You were silent for a moment before turning to albedo confused, “I thought you said you don't have any other food aside from ... .that” you point to the plate his holding, “true” he answered, “well, I couldn't have you stay hungry, so I've been searching a few camp spot to see if there's other ingredients to cook.”

‘oh, so that's why he hurriedly left after he made sure I stayed warm’ you thought, a  smile creeping to your face before finally letting go of your pouty face. “I guess I could forgive you for that, only if this dish doesn't have mysterious ingredients in them” you joke. How could you be mad for so long with your friend?.

He chuckled before reassuring you that he in fact didn't have anything mystery ingredients put in your dish.

“uh huh,” meirin hummed as she sipped on her coffee, directing a dreamy gaze to a certain akademiya scribe, who had just finished infodumping his latest endeavors at learning yet another new language.

the man stared back, an amused smile tugging on his lips, “how many percent?”

“i got around uh, fifty percent of that,” the woman cleared her throat and threw a sheepish smile at him, “but anyway, the point is, it would be great if you can have someone knowledgeable enough to crosscheck this ancient liyuean pet project of yours?”

al haitham nodded, “correct. perhaps your parents or an older relative—”

“even better, i know a certain someone who should be able to easily solve this predicament,” the girl tapped her chin thoughtfully, her legs lightly swaying under the adhigama dining table.

"ever heard of the adeptus who brought spring to the geo archon’s heart?”

Ears flicker, a leafy tail stirs.

Kazuha turns away from the fire where he had been meticulously caring for the skewers of grilled fish. Seems like finally his mysterious companion was waking to the world.

The doe blinks and shifts her slim legs a little, her eyes are a bright golden almost glowing. She quickly cranes her neck around, a little alarmed, seemingly trying to process all the strange sights and sounds.

The wandering samurai decides not to do any sudden movements and sits back, turning to her. “Hello, do you feel alright? That was quite a nap.”

She stares at him for a moment, and he can see her cowering back a little, skittish.

“Can you… understand me?” Kazuha asks with immutable calm. “Do you speak common tongue?”    

“Um… yes.” Kazuha blinks surprised at the soft voice that practically echoes in his ears, gentle and clear. “Who are you?” She asks, though there is wariness in her tone.

“My name is Kaedehara Kazuha, I am a wandering samurai. I found you passed out a little far from here. Are you injured? What’s your name?”

“I’m… not sure.”

…

“You don’t remember?”

“It’s… complicated, confusing. I feel like I’m missing parts of me, memories, names, faces.” She huffs in annoyance, in the way only an animal can. “Where are we?”

“This is Inazuma” He responds. “We’re outside Chinju Forest. But you’re from Liyue, aren’t you?”

“Inazuma?!” She repeats. “I am… I think? Y-Yes! I am Liyueren, that’s… at least what I feel. I am an adeptus but… why can’t I remember my names?”

Sensing her distress Kazuha decides to pull closer a small bundled cloth filled with fruits berries and shrooms he gathered. “Maybe you should take it easy for now. Eat something first, I hope these are ok.”

She noses at the small pile and timidly picks a berry. “Thank you…”

They eat in silence for a while, the sound of the flames crackling, night insects chirping and the wind their only company.

“So, you have no recollection of how you ended up here?”

She shakes her head. “I have… vague memories. From Liyue and… Fontaine?” She frowns.

Well, that was a surprise. “Fontaine?”

“They feel all mixed up together, along with my instincts. I feel there’s something important I’m missing and… also a feeling of belonging.”

Kazuha sits pensive a moment. “As a wandering samurai I have no static place to call my home, wherever my journey takes me, wherever my friends are… as long as I stay true to myself that is where I belong. If you’re missing that…” He parts his gaze to the bonfire, the flames dancing and swaying.

He is intrigued, immensely so, but he also feels drawn to her and sympathizes with her situation. She seems to have a pure aura and a feeling of loyalty and resolve, if she’s lost her memories and her home, he wants to help her.

Perhaps they can get to Ritou and contact Beidou there, she’d know something. She has her ways.

“I’ll help you.” He speaks. “I have friends in Liyue. Perhaps someone will recognize you, you are an illuminated beast after all, tales and legends are common, no?” He reasons.

“P-Probably not about me.” She murmurs shyly, ducking her neck.

“You mentioned before... your names, do you have more than one?”

Her demeanor turns solemn. “Typically… adepti would have many names, some of them we choose, some of them are bestowed upon us, and for us, names have power. You can call for our help or pray to us, we can blend in with the humans and take on different forms. Names make up for our identities.”

He nods. “I see. I understand, here in Inazuma too, family names, clan names, they have prestige. Even a newly forged blade receives a name. They are very important.”

“And yet I can’t remember… it’s like… it’s at the tip of my tongue but I can’t get it out.”

“None of them?”

She closes her eyes, concentrating.

‘My name is ███████… pleased to meet you.’

“No…”

‘I am █████████████! And I will make my master proud!’

“I can’t…”

‘You can just call me-’

“-Crys…”

“Crys?” Kazuha repeats and sees the way she perks up at that.

“Yes! That is the name I go by sometimes, I remember that much!” She exclaims happily.

“In that case.” He places a bandaged hand at his heart. “Nice to meet you Crys, I look forward to helping you regain your names and your memories, and finding out who you truly are.”

I'm not sure how, but it ended up in my hands before hers. So here I am, giving you her letter instead! I'm sure the mailman messed up addresses, although it remains weird given how far apart our addresses are haha.

*Coviello has received the letter with Rin's name from Shiro! The return address on the envelope is not from the person handing them the letter. Furthermore, a name from the actual sender seems to be missing. How strange!

> Before I leave, I have to add... Please do not read the letter before Rin does. I am trusting you with the task of guarding it until she´s available, and only because she´s busy!! But... I hope you´ll understand.

The letter which you received from Shiro is in pristine condition. The quality of the parchment is high, and the wax seal on the back seems expensive as well. When you turn the envelope around, you see a return address on the back; "Wangsheng Funeral Parlor", Liyue.

When you pull the letter out of the envelope after breaking the seal, you are met with cursive handwriting in black ink. Each letter is delicately crafted and carefully chosen. The sender seems to have put a lot of thought behind each word, not a single one seems to be wasted, and one could almost the letter as a piece of art. 

When you bring it closer, the scent of glaze lilies obscures the preexisting scents in the room, dominating, and yet it remains a gentle and inviting smell. You now notice the flower within the envelope you had previously missed. Along with it, a small piece of cor lapis seems to be added. With the way the sender carefully wrote each word, there's no doubt that they have added these two items with purpose. 

"My Love,

May this letter find you in good health.

Up till today, I have not heard a single reply to any of the letters I sent. Has something occurred in your daily life? Are you facing troubles alone? If you are, do not hesitate to reach out to me. You know you can always rely on me, as I will do anything in my power to keep you safe and happy. 

At some point I believe I even started to doubt myself. The many letters I sent, surely they wouldn't go unheard by you? Perhaps we need more time,

And perhaps we don't. While my patience might appear to be endless, I recently discovered that a familiar Harbinger lurks around the teahouse, and this caused an unsettling feeling in my chest.

(The sender seems to hesitate after this point. It seems as if they had more to say, but decided to not write it down in this letter. The next paragraph continues, as if ignoring the one above.)

My flower, please consider writing a response to my letters. If not for your sake, then for mine. I fear my heart won't be able to bear the silence for much longer. 

Your beloved,

(The signature is missing. However, upon closer inspection, at the right bottom of the letter a small geo sign has been drawn in golden ink. When you tilt the parchment, it seems to glow for a moment, then it dissipates and leaves the parchment without a sign of it ever being there at all.)

Blue eyes narrowed, followed by a deft hand slipping the letter and the flower back into the envelope. A Pyro delusion sparked to life, and the envelope bursted into flames, its ashes dropping onto the floor.

"Ah... I'll have to clean that."

Coviello lifted their other hand, inspecting the small piece of cor lapis that came with the letter.

Now, what do I do with this and all those other gems... Hmph. I suppose I can just sell it-

Random relationship HCS;

Sitting in the same room in silence, close to each other both doing their own thing, enjoying one another's company without needing to exert energy. Simply being there, is enough. 

Actively asking another about their interests. When Albedo picks up a new research topic in Achelmy, Shiro will ask him about it; similar to how Albedo entertains Shiro's love for novels and photography. This often ends up with either rambling for hours and the other one listening. 

Neither can cook. It's an absolute disaster. There is an effort to stay alive but it doesn't go beyond that. 

Shiro loves to braid Albedo's hair. They do it nearly every morning (except when Albedo wakes up before them). It's a small bonding moment both seem to enjoy more than they'd admit, enjoy the simple intimacy of the mundane action. 

While Albedo is more logically driven, Shiro is very intuitive. It's as if they can take any shape and adjust themselves to the person they're speaking to. Overtime, Shiro started to get familiar with Albedo's wants and needs and they've become very in sync.

Albedo has made a separate sketchbook to hold all the drawings of Shiro. He appreciates how much joy they get out of seeing the finished works. As time passed, it also became a relaxing task, something that removes any stress or lingering thoughts. 

Shiro has a sweet tooth and it's annoying because ?? do you really think you could find a cake on Dragonspine? When they complain about it, Albedo will have hot chocolate ready for them, which always seems to work in silencing them.

Shiro is big spoon !!! V affectionate and touch starved. Will hug Albedo from behind and rest their head on his shoulder!! Also loves to squish cheek against cheek.

Both have a mark on their body. Shiro between their shoulder blades and Albedo on his neck. It's something Shiro silently bonds over. The fact that they might not be alone in existence is a comforting thought. Perhaps this comfort is where once "love" grew. 

Shiro will steal Albedo's jacket. It's so comfy and warm!!! Sometimes will even steal his gloves, but they have short fingers so it fits a bit awkwardly (which is okay though, Shiro just wants to match with him)

My name's "Kopi"!!! My actual name is a bit weird so I use that cuz it's cute. I used to live in Fontaine but I just moved to Mondstadt for work (and for Lawrence of course <3).

And of course, you can call Lawrence by his name. (We usually call each other "beloved" though 🥰) I'm super stoked to have a new friend here!!! Mondstadters are super nice but I haven't really had a conversation and an event like this before so I'm excited!!!
