Seriously, the reincarnation game in Till The End Of The Moon is hella strong. And coupled with the wibbly woobly timey wimey timelines, it's a perfect playground for my Whovian mind. I can't help but think about the implications, consequences and continuity of all the timelines created.

Which came first? 500 years in the future, when Li Susu went back in time, thus triggering the Bo're life and then branching out back into the immortal sects life? Or did it start 10,000 years ago, and the events of the war between the Devil God and Ming Ye the starting point of the events of present and future? Is Bingchang the first incarnation, or is she a tribulation of the devil lady, or the reincarnation of Tian Huan? I'm mad that she's still around, whatever her name is now, btw, can nobody get rid of her? What about Jiwu/Xiao Lin, does he exist in the present because Susu changed the future, or inversely did he came to the future because Susu/Xiwu cared about him in the present? And he still can't catch a break, poor guy.

And is Tantai Jin all at once the OG Devil God AND Ming Ye AND Tantai Jin AND the reincarnated Devil God AND Cang Jiumin? While Li Susu has 4 fathers, 1 mother, and 5 different lives? And what the heck happened to Best Boy Nyan Baiyu, how did the devils kept him alive for 500 years?

This is seriously fascinating, I love time travel and reincarnations, you can do so much with these, and TTEOTM has no qualms about making things as complicated and confusing as possible, giving you some answers, and a whole lot more of questions.

Fullmetal Alchemist Chapter 48

Heist 3 is a success, but everything quickly falls apart.

Hawkeye shows off her marksman skills. She managed to shoot Scar while driving a vehicle to a skidding stop.

Lin nearly threw his back out lifting Gluttony.

If the fight with Scar had background music attached to it, Ed and Al's dramatic speech as they prepare to defeat Scar would be accompanied by a crescendo followed by off-tune tuba note when May interrupts everything and helps Scar escape.

Something seems off about Wrath's expression when he sees Hawkeye and Lin traveling together.

It's like he's excited to realize Roy has some connection to the foreigners who he caught hunting the Homunculi.

After it's first mention in chapter 32, we finally see a demonstration of Xingese Alchemy being used for healing purposes. May mentions that she can't heal where the "flow of power" in the human body can't reach, nor can she grow back limbs. So that means she can't give Ed a new arm nor heal Havoc's spine.

And now that everything's calmed down, Scar takes a moment to reflect on what happened with Winry.

Not really sure how Xiao Mei got separated from May Chang. She probably got lost in the smokescreen.

Al tosses Xiao Mei into his armor in the next scene.

Scenes like the one where Winry is sharing a drink with Bradley are so much better due to us knowing he's actually Wrath. We see Ed and Al walk into the room that Winry is in, then turn the page and see Wrath. If you didn't worry the first time you read it, then you've somehow skipped every scene every scene he's been in. We'd spent the last few chapters watching him hunt down Lin and Lan Fan like a monster. Then he suddenly appears in what is supposed to be a calm scene. And even though he takes his leave and tells Ed to take care of Winry, we're left with a sense of unease that Ed and Al are completely oblivious to.

Winry had Ed's jacket in her lap during that scene but when they're all traveling to the hotel, the jacket vanishes. No one is carrying it and Ed is never seen wearing it again.

Winry gets a call from Garfiel and all the clients she's helped since taking on an apprenticeship with him. They all reaffirm what Ed told her. She is someone who saves lives, just like her parents. And there are people waiting for her help.

Meanwhile, Havoc is doing what he can to stay fit despite his condition. He's accepted that he won't be able to stay in the military, and plans to find some other way to help support his team. They're waiting for him to catch up.

Ed promises that he won't make Winry cry again, except out of happiness. And she glimpses his back one last time before the train leaves.

Xiao Mei popped out of Al's armor when Roy picks them up. He's even petting her.

Roy picks up Ed, Al, and Dr. Knox in a new car since Scar destroyed the old one. I have no idea what happened to the one Hawkeye stole commandeered in chapter 45. She drove it into the fight to pick up Lin and Gluttony, but it's nowhere to be seen later.

Also not sure where Lin go the new shirt and jacket. Roy's wearing the same shirt and jacket so maybe Roy has some extra clothes lying around that house just in case.

Roy and Lin's discussion confirms this is the first time they've actually met despite working together for the Heist. I guess this means Roy didn't intend to involve Lin in the Super Heist and Lin decided to inform Al and join in for his own reasons.

There's a jacket laid over Lan Fan's bed. It appears to be the one Dr. Knox was wearing.

During their post-Heist 3 briefings, Lin reveals how he caught a WAY bigger fish than expected when he discovered Bradley was a Homunculus. Roy's eyes did that thing when he got that bit of info.

But things start to fall apart when everyone starts arguing over what to do next since they all have their own separate ideas of what to do with Gluttony. And then things literally fall apart when he breaks free and begins to rampage.

Poor Dr. Knox is another normal person being dragged into the shenanigans and uncovering grand conspiracies, just like Maria and Danny. He has nothing to do with any of this and now he's privy to the existence of the Homunculi and he gets to find out that the President is a Homunculus. And now the poor guy is caught up having to deal with Gluttony going on a rampage.

About your ask about what if Suyin killed Lin by accident. There is this one nerve in the neck that if disrupted can cause you to become paralyzed. So what if Suyin disrupted said nerve with the metal cables and now Lin is paralyzed. Do you think that Toph would send her away or would there different consequences? Would Lin still become chief of police? Or would she and Kya travel the world together (since they’re in love). Would she still help Korra? Would this bring Lin and Toph closer both having disabilities to over come? Or would it break them apart more? If it brought them together would Toph still move to the swamp?

Anyway I feel like this incident would heavily effect what happens in alok greatly. But I want to know what you think.

My guess is immediately after the cable hits Lin, Suyin would still run to her sister to try and help, but this time Lin obviously lives. The experience would still be traumatizing for both girls. Suyin only wanted to get away with her trouble making, and Lin was doing her job. But now Suyin's the reason her idol is in a wheelchair and is the reason Lin's life is harder than it used to be and that guilt would eat away at her.

After the fact, I think it depends on everyone's emotions once the dust has settled. I can see Suyin still being a bit inconsolable, she nearly killed her sister, and hopefully the experience would make her own up to her mistakes and try to learn from them and accept the consequences. Toph would be heartbroken at how things turned out, grateful that Lin didn't die, but still upset that her daughter now has to deal with this for the rest of her life. And Lin... I'm not sure. I can see her hating her sister for the rest of her life and never speaking to her again, and I can also see her facing this life obstacle head on. She would still be angry at Su, but may forgive her, especially if she sees how remorseful Suyin is... I'm gonna go with the latter because it's a bit ~nicer~ LOL.

As far as discipline goes, I'm guessing it would be a rehabilitative center where the main goal is for delinquents to learn from their mistakes and make healthy contributions to society until their time is up? Idk if that's the right word for it, but I don't think Suyin would be in jail. It would be about Suyin understanding how her actions had consequences and what she can try to do moving forward to be a better person.

I'm assuming that since Lin wasn't the Chief when she became paralyzed, she wouldn't become Chief. Field experience probably plays into the qualifications for the job, and in general, I think she would let that dream go for something else.

Haha I like the idea that she travels the world, and I think that would fit her story well!

My guess is that in between travelling, she'd spend time with Toph, and I would venture to guess this makes them closer? They might still have communication issues and there's always that elephant koi in the room with why Lin is disabled now, but I think as long as Suyin changes and there isn't any lingering resentment, the family wouldn't fall apart. Might take Lin a while to speak with Suyin is all.

Not sure that Lin would help Korra as much. After the incident, I can see her kind of picking up a more casual lifestyle as opposed to career oriented. Plus, if she's with Kya travelling, I don't think Kya would drop everything to help the Avatar (even if it is her dad reincarnated lol). She didn't seem like she wanted to fight; only did it out of necessity and preferred being free to do what she wanted. Perhaps by this point, Lin is talking with Suyin and convinces her to help the Avatar? 0-0 That would be interesting. Suyin could either come down from Zaofu to speak with Korra (If Zaofu still exists).

And yeah I'm not the biggest fan of Swamp Toph so hopefully she doesn't go to the Swamp if she's on speaking terms with both of her daughters and still visits with them LOL.

I think that's all I got for this scenario! It would definitely change things within LOK, and I think it depends on how much Lin resents Suyin after the fact. This route kind of revolves around the idea that everyone is on speaking terms after the fact, but if the Beifong family is strained (like it is in LOK but worse), I think those outcomes within this 'new' LOK would be vastly different.

The Spirit of The Dark Kingdom Chapter 9

Last time on The Spirit of The Dark Kingdom, the doctor and Anika find out that the new babies, Zero and Hanabi aren't twins, but just natural siblings by two years apart. Anika and the doctor have come so close that they had decided to seal the moment together with a sensational, but incomplete kiss.

The servant had informed the doctor of King Aireth's request to bring him the baby. The doctor only brings him Anika's son and introduces King Aireth to him. Though, with an intention of his own, King Aireth catches the doctor and Anika red handed with Hanabi. Getting into a battle of the doctor vs King Aireth, the doctor had won, only for King Aireth to decide that Hanabi and Anika will be executed and the doctor to be punished by variation.

With determination to save Anika and Hanabi, the doctor then proposes the idea of an escape plan for them. Will his plan to keep his loved ones safe prevail and be successful? Lets find out.

It is now the upcoming night, the night before the execution tomorrow, and the doctor has fully planned out an escape route for Anika and Hanabi. He' going to take Zero with him just in case, wanting to avoid all possible faults that can mess his plan up. The babies are quietly and softly cooing at each other, being as cute as usual. Anika is watching them, gently smiling, worried for Hanabi and her new eye. The doctor had made sure everything was ready and packed, but was just waiting for it to get dark and for the castle to be clear by the majority amount.

Doctor:*Anika, do you think you and Hanabi are ready to leave?

Anika:*Heh, I can tell you right now..Hanabi wouldn't have a clue of what's going on... If she did, I could only hope that she'd forget later in her years. I honestly can't say I'm ready. I know it would seem weird because of the whole "my daughter and I are gonna be executed tomorrow" thing, but...I just can't...*starts tearing up* I don't want to leave... I don't want to leave you....*tears start falling down her face* I love you...

Doctor:**he goes to her, hugging her, holding her close* Anika... I understand... I honestly do... I love you too, and I honestly don't want you to leave...but I don't want to lose you and Hanabi either... Your life is more important to me than my desires of being with you. Even though it doesn't feel like it, this is for the best.

Anika:**cries more, her face buried in the doctor's chest*

Doctor:**keeps holding her, trying to calm her down* Please calm down my love.. Everything will be ok......'I promise'...

Anika:**lightly blushes from him calling her his love, slowly calming down in his hold*...Ok....

*They continue to hold each other, sharing one last moment together, after a little, they finally, but reluctantly back away, but not that far from each other, holding hands*

Doctor:*Are you feeling okay?

Anika:*I'm feeling a little better. What about you?

Doctor:*I'm hanging in there as long as you are alright.

Anika:*Alright.

Doctor:*I'm sorry to bring it up again, but we can't stay here any longer.

Anika:**looks even more upset than before again*

Doctor:*...Anika?

Anika:*...*looks at the doctor again*

Doctor:**he goes to Anika, holds her close again, but this time, he crashes his lips with her, kissing her for the first time, eyes closed, his affection for her defining itself proudly in the kiss*

Anika:**eyes widen as she's taken by surprise for a moment. She willingly gives in and kisses him back, closing her eyes, holding him close. She more recessive and lets him lead her through this moment with him*

*The doctor had deepened the kiss to enhance it, sharing this with her for some minutes. When they reluctantly breaks the kiss, their spirits had ignited a spark of spirit and hope within them. they smile at each other, nuzzle each other, and decide to speak final words before their separation*

Doctor:*Anika, when I had heard of your arrival to the king, I hadn't thought anything about it. I felt bad that you were to be for his desire, but I never realized that the maiden he took for granted was a truly beautiful young lady such as you. The moment I had seen you, I realized that King Aireth had taken a poor soul and twisted a possible future for it. I felt terrible. Hearing what he had done to you, I had felt worse. I had wanted to meet you, but was busy at the moments, imagining that I'd get to see you soon. Then you had came to me that one day, and my spirit had brightened up just from the sight of you. You are the one angel that has shown me love, dedication to the one I care for, and so much more. I thank you, and I hope one day that we cross each other's paths and get to be together.

Anika:**blushes more* Doctor Lin-quan, when I first arrived to the castle, I felt like I had made a mistake, and after my encounter with the king, I definitely felt like that. When I had met you, I didn't know what to think. After a while, I felt myself coming closer to you. You're always so sweet and kind to me. If I had a chance to leave earlier, I would've stayed for you. The light from when I had became a fallen angel had greatly dimmed until you came into my life and brightened it up again. I couldn't thank you as much as I want to, but I hope that someday that I can make it up to you on the day we possibly cross paths again. Until then, all we can do is hope for the best of a bright future for us.

Doctor:*I hope the same~ *sighs* Are you ready my love? We have to go now.

Anika:**sighs, gets her stuff and picks up Hanabi, kisses her forehead and takes a deep breath* Yes, I'm ready even though I don't want to leave.

Doctor:**picks up Zero and bounces him a little to get him to giggle* I don't want you two to leave either, but remember that 'it's for the best'.

Anika:**nods* I will.

The doctor and Anika then head out with the babies, quiet and calm. They sneak through the palace dungeon where they had been in Anika's cell. They manage to slip through the halls, past all and any of the palace workers, working together not to get caught.

Eventually after a lot of sneaking around, dodging, hiding, and communication with each other, they make it in the actual palace. Carefully working to sneak through everything. As they are going through the halls, they come across a room with the door open and the light on. They realize that the room belongs to the palace blacksmith. He and a maid are together conversing in the room.

Maid:**gives the blacksmith a cup of coffee* Here you go. How are you feeling? I saw the trouble they were putting you through, and I don't think you deserved that. I understand about tomorrow, but you're no slave, and they have no right to be so rough with you.

Blacksmith:**takes a sip and sighs* Thank you, I needed this. It's all so much work, and this is quite a lot, even for me. I know that I can have a shipment of 9 million long fresh iron bars ready in 10 minutes, and over 20 thousand swords made for more than 60 individual armies in under a day, but...to have the execution set ready for tomorrow...it hurts me to have to be the one to hand them the items to execute Lin-quan, his lover, and one of the babies... It's not that it's physically difficult, but it's emotionally and mentally hard for me. Yet the workers all come so harshly to me and order me as if it's normal. They don't understand... No one here does and it annoys me so much. I had to hold myself back from snapping at them.

Maid:*I won't say that I understand because I don't and I know it, but I'll do my best to be there for you. I mean that no matter what.

Blacksmith:*Thank you love. You're so beautiful. How has your day been?

Maid:**blushes* You're such a flatterer, and handsome as well. It's been something at least. The girls can't get the execution out of their mind. They feel that they don't deserve this.

Blacksmith:*No one does.

Maid:* Of course, but we can't say that despite how much we want to.

Blacksmith:*I know...

The doctor frowns from what he hears the blacksmith saying, wanting to go to him and hug him, but he doesn't let it get to him. They continue to sneak through the halls and rooms of the palace.

They come across the attraction room, which is completely empty, only to come across the execution items for the ceremony tomorrow.

Anika:**whispers* This isn't good...

Doctor:**whispers* This is exactly why I'm getting you two out of here.

They continue through the room quietly, through more halls, through the palace until they finally make it into the court yard where the gates are. The carefully observe the surroundings at the moment before proceeding. They see that palace soldiers are blocking the gate out of the palace.

The doctor plans a new pathway through the court yard, and they carefully proceed. As they continue on their path, King Aireth was watching in the court yard and from the corner of his eye, had caught a hint of Anika's hair and the doctor's lab coat. He smirks and lets the soldiers know.

The doctor and Anika keep sneaking, and immediately hide when they see the soldiers moving, but can't tell where they're going. The doctor takes extreme precaution, and they continue to sneak with much more caution.

The doctor and Anika finally make it to the gates, not coming across any guards. They hug each other and the babies gently coo at each other. Hanabi and Zero hold hands, softly giggling at each other. They look so cute together. Anika smiles gently at them along with the doctor.

Anika:**whispers quietly* I'll miss you so much.

Doctor:**whispers quietly as well* I'll miss you too. *They kiss again* Let's get you out of here.

Anika:**nods* Please take good care of Zero.

Doctor:**nods* I will, I promise. *he kisses Hanabi's forehead*

Anika:**kisses Zero's forehead*

Soldier:*Halt!!

Anika:**gasps. The rest of the soldiers surround them, letting King Aireth come in front of them, smirking*

King Aireth:**chuckles* What's this? Eloping?

Doctor:*Sadly, no, but good guess on something that you'll never get to do.

King Aireth:*Whatever. Doctor, it's now decided that you will be executed for this tomorrow.

Doctor:*I don't care as long as you don't harm Anika and her daughter.

King Aireth:*Oh no, she's still being executed along with her daughter as well.

Doctor:*Then you'll have to go through me first.

King Aireth:*I don't have to do such a thing when I have soldiers by my side.

Doctor:*You wouldn't dare.

King Aireth:*Oh I would. I'm over the idea of losing an old friend already. You have become nothing but disrespectful to me and I won't accept it anymore as your king.

Doctor:*How is it disrespect when you're trying to correct an unjust king who should've been overthrown a long time ago? You have such an ego and it's more than just uncanny for your actions. It's ridiculous.

King Aireth:**is very angered* Soldiers, dispose of the peasant and her daughter and lock the doctor up tightly in chains in a cell!!!

Soldiers:**immediately gets started on what they're ordered to do*

Doctor:**immediately helps Anika and Hanabi over the gate* ANIKA, RUN!!!

Anika:*But, doctor-

Doctor:**tears are streaming down his face* PLEASE!!! RUN!!! RUN AND NEVER COME BACK!!!

Anika:**tears are streaming down her face. Arrows are flying at her and Hanabi. She immediately starts running out of the kingdom*

Anika had kept running with a now crying Hanabi until she had ran past the premise line of the palace. King Aireth had then banished Anika and Hanabi from ever returning to the palace. The doctor had been defeated by the soldiers, protecting the now crying Zero no matter what. He was taken to a cell, locked up very tightly and Zero was placed in a separate cell by himself. The doctor, upset that Anika's gone, gently smiles to himself, happy that she and Hanabi are safe.

Yesss oh my god! I absolutely loooved lee scoresby in the book. And i love Lin in this role. (But when i initially found out Lin was playing this role, i was like noooo 😭😭 don't want to see that happen)

Also yeahh Lyra just has an awful set of parents, honestly. Poor thing can't catch a break with either one of them. (Ruth Wilson's feral acting tho 🤯👌🏼)
