Cotton Incorporated

Welcome back beautiful readers! Todays post is all about Cotton Incorporated a trend forecasting nonprofit, funded by the cotton farmers of the world. The trend forecasting services they offer are completely free of charge and so well done. I was so impressed! It was really helpful getting to view their S/S ’19 presentation. Aubrey did a wonderful job explaining the career of a trend forecaster as well as her career path up to this pointl. Additionally, we had the opportunity to peruse their denim rack! Check out this totally on trend, vibrant, red denim jacket with yellow stitching- isn’t it such a fun piece? I want it in my wardrobe!

Before the presentation, I never researched what it entailed to be a trend forecaster but all of the attributes are soo me. For example, I am subscribed to multiple daily emails that I actually read to stay on top of the latest fashion, beauty, and world events My favorites being- WWD, Refinery29, theSkimm I have an inherent need to discover- which is my passion behind loving to travel. After studying abroad in Florence, Italy and traveling Europe for 4 months I cannot imagine a career that does not include traveling. Furthermore, my friends and family are always looking to me for fashion advice and simply for my general opinion. It’s so exciting to me that there’s a career that encompasses so many of my interests. I look forward to applying to their summer internship program- fingers crossed!
