Happy birthday to me!!! I got more birthday wishes but these were my favourite!!! I cant believe im 19 and STILL with EXO from 2012. I feel so different from when i was younger. From stabling my depression and mental emotions to actually smiling with TRUE HAPPINESS and i can DEFINITELY thank EXO for that from OT12 to OT9 i feel like I've been through everything with them and im SO thankful for them😍

unpopular opinion (but not really)

HaHA this is how i gained notoriety on exo-l tumblr, let’s do it again w skz (i already posted this on my twt follow me over there jongdae_vevo).

before i get started, my bias is bang chan. skz is about 5 minutes away from becoming my ult group. i’ve preordered their next album n will probably hype the everloving fuck out of it. but it’s hard to support a man who keeps giving half assed excuses for their actions.

here’s the thing - the bubble apology isn’t a bad thing. it’s actually a really good start. but considering how bad he’s fucked up in the past as well, i pray that for poc stays there will be an official apology. this isn’t something we can just gloss over and forget about though, there needs to be consequences for his actions. idk what that looks like but something needs to happen. ig the important thing to remember here is that chris (like many idols) has led a very sheltered life, both in and out of fame, and possibly didn’t understand the meaning of this is america, or the weight his actions could hold at the time. i fully believe chan is better that this, and has learned better since that was recorded, but we’ll see. dude’s probably in a meeting now getting his head bitten off by execs. anyway, that’s my two cents on the situation. i’m not going to stop stanning skz. i am certainly going to hold them accountable for their actions though, and i hope the delulus don’t mindlessly defend him. he’s a good man who fucked up big time. let’s hold him to that.

((pls take this opinion with a grain of salt, i study race relations as part of my degree but i am also white so my opinion isn’t worth anything. i just have a lot to say about everything.))

This blog is coming to an end. 

I guess i wanted to relive my uni days when I was just... bursting at the seams with passion. I read and read and read and couldn’t get enough. I loved what I did. My dissertation was the culmination of all my efforts and despite all the stress it caused, it remains my proudest moment. 

Things have changed for me and this blog has felt like a burden for a long time. I’ve kept it going in case I start feeling like it’s worth it. But it didn’t (the fact that nobody reblogs didn’t help).

I’m terminating this blog in about a month (for those who want to reblog, save stuff etc). I might also give this blog away (obviously at my own discretion) so contact me if you’re interested.

If you were a dictator of a small island nation, what crazy dictator stuff would you do? no waking until 10am. no crime or anything will be allowed ill figure out some way to make everything perfect so women can go out alone at night and not be afraid. no discrimination !! all the poc, lgbt, disabled, any minority  will be welcome and have safe spaces and any hate will be punished by law. also everyones allowed to have pets in their homes and no home goes without food or power. am i doing this right

33. What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives? travel out of your comfort zone. like physically travel somewhere and make the most of it but do it with someone cos the buddy system is important

People don't only drag Got7, & people have been iffy w them since jackson posted the blackface pic. Kpop in general is VERY problematic. It's so hard being a poc (other than east asian) AND gay fan because we're constantly made out to be jokes by people we thought we could stan. I understand that negativity isn't necessarily ideal, but people have every right to be angry when their favs mess up.

I wasn’t talking about Jackson though, It was about the situation on Yugyeom, people spread misinformation of him making a racist joke when first of all it wasn’t racist but a word play and second of all it didn’t even come out of his mouth. I agree that kpop is a problematic thing to get into. Korea is just really far behind when it comes to lgbtq rights, acceptance and racism. It’s just since that incident with Jackson people are trying extra hard to drag got7. And i’m sure it happens to other groups too but as an igot7 I’m just fed up of seeing the boys painted out to be homophobic or racist when I know their intentions speak differently. Hating got7 has become a new trend or something, especially on kpop twitter. That’s why I made that post, because im just over it. I’m not telling people they shouldn’t feel offended or anything when the members mess up, but creating fake ‘news’ is another story. And i’m sure it happens in all fandoms, especially between exo-l’s and army’s. I’ve just noticed that the negativity around got7 has been becoming larger and larger because of these ‘fandom wars’

I'm an exo-l and a fan of got7 also (not quite an aghase). IMO wearing certain hairstyles isn't offensive...It's just hair. Whereas things like blackface are actually offensive bc it's done in a mocking tone. I'm a POC but I'm not black but I still thought I would voice my opinion. I'm Indian and I don't get offended when people wear bindis or sarees. Kai or Jackson obviously should not have gotten death threats. It's just a hairstyle! Also btw kai had cornrows in wolf era not dreads...

Well, sadly, not all people agree, everyone is different and everyone has their own view.There are black people who are really hurt by Kai’s and Jackson’s actions, but actually, I don’t blame them. No one can blame them. It’s a part of their culture, it’s a part of their history: they have the right to be sensitive about this topic. But yeah, some people did let this go too far.(Also, I’m really glad that you didn’t approach me with hate, I like people who can still be normal and treat others with respect. I’m tired of those who call me bad names just for stating my opinion.)None of them deserve this big amount of hate (ofc we all know that there will always be haters, we can’t do anything about that) and they certainly don’t deserve death threats.Also, Kai said it himself that he had had this hairstyle before, so- idk.I just wish dead threats and those terribly rude/harsh comments would stop finally.
