Here we go, my friends. I’ll give you a couple of heads ups: 1. Not too much has changed tbh. We don’t get that much from the trophies, so a lot of what I wished for previously still stands as a wish. 2. This does include spoilers for the trophies. I do no claim to know for sure what they’re going to do, this is merely what I hope and think they could do with what we’ve been given. This post will only truly spoil the trophies and their relatively limited information, but that is still a spoiler so be aware. Also, sorry this is so late and kind of rushed. Today was a busy day and tomorrow is almost just as busy, so I sincerely apologize.
The first two I’ll mention (Your Own Medicine and Gathering Full Strength) I care very little for as they seem to just be using the new skills/finding the skills. The Isu Bloodline trophy seems interesting but I doubt it’s going to have to do with mythology outside Isu related things, IF it’s not simply having all of the Keeper’s Insights. But I’m not sure what it is tbh.
First, I’ll discuss Hephaistos’s Apprentice with the caption of “Forge the 3 Legendary Weapons.” Truthfully, I don’t have the foggiest idea what these weapons could be, considering he made so much. My best guesses would be possibly Perseus’ dagger/knife/whatever it is, Apollo’s bow, or Achilles/Peleus’ spear, but I’m not sure. Plus, the wording is vague. Maybe it’s not just weapons? Maybe it’s not actually legendary weapons from mythology? Maybe it’s not necessarily weapons made by Hephaistos himself? I’m not sure but the concept seems cool enough!
Let’s talk about the big boy, which sort of changes things a bit. 1 vs 100 with the description “Defeat the Hekatonchires.” So this gives us a very clear pictures that we will, in some capacity, be challenging the Hekatonchires which is one way to go. Traditional mythology states that there are three, each with one-hundred hands, but the the title of trophy is 1 vs 100 which sort of implies that we’ll be fighting only one? I’m not too sure tbh but I still hold that if it is only one, it will be Briareus/Aegaeon, simply because of his heavy sea connections.
With all of this information, I would love to see something like this:
Atlas is the king of Atlantis and the son of Poseidon. Basically, not the titan Atlas necessarily. Having become too corrupt (like Plato describes in his Critias), Zeus or Poseidon or however decides that Atlantis must be punished. He sends Hephaistos to get the job done and the Keeper is tasked with assisting Hephaistos throughout Atlantis. Maybe Hephaistos doesn’t want to punish Atlantis so severely, and the Hekatonchire(s) (siding with Zeus/Poseidon/whoever) must be dealt with. I don’t really know why Hephaistos would care but it’s a though. I still believe Juno is going to play a bigger role in the modern day with Aletheia, so I won’t discuss that further, but that’s all I’ve got. The trophies weren’t too detailed so a lot of what I wanted still holds but the defeat the Hekatonchires did change things a bit. Overall, I’m definitely excited. I would LOVE to see more gods and goddesses and more mythology inclusion but I’ll take what I can get at this point.
