AU based off Nature except I kept thinking about it too hard. Dales not a good dad, but its such an easy problem for him to throw money at, and what do you do when a part is damaged? Well, you replace it.

Basically an AU where Dev gets to experience medical trauma and realizes much sooner how much his dad doesn't love him

#dev dimmadome #fop a new wish #yeah ok I'll add that to my worldview #(fr this is a *really* cool idea and tbh it pairs up *so* well with my hc that Peri has mobility & fatigue issues!)#like they could both kinda work through disability issues #regarding stuff like how they're perceived by their family (Dale's get over it vs C&W's overprotectiveness)#when to push themselves vs when to step back and rest #getting accommodations that they need (or even that they *exist* Dev is *so* under accommodated for someone so privileged eg:with the dairy #medical trauma and different ways it can happen and how it can affect people #like there's so much there for them to learn about themselves as they interact with and eventually help one another #plus just Dev getting to see Peri have disabilities and not just *constantly* try and fix/hide them #Like Peri probably pushes himself harder than he necessarily should but more out of internalized issues #like people being over protective of him and him wanting to prove himself #He doesn't need nearly as much help as C&W sometimes think but he needs more accommodations than he wants to admit #vs how Dev is so insidiously *pushed* into not being a ''problem'' for his dad and not showing "weakness'' or ''unsightly problems''#sorry to kinda derail they would just mirror *so* well I'm going feral lol
