just imagine the simpsons bus meme that says "if you're tired of certain aspects of the star wars tv shows and movies, give the high republic books a try. the authors have a lot more freedom in telling good stories and actually have a chance to plan out a solid overarching plot. as an added bonus, the characters are incredibly lovable and the setting is deeply fascinating. it's fun to hate on how bad some of star wars is, but it can be tiring to be like that all the time. if you want to find something new about it to love, the books are the best place to start"
