playing back a video I took at the beach this morning and realized that I caught a red-wing blackbird singing right at the end
#the way I sat up#I know they're definitely due back by now but I haven't actually heard or seen any yet#there were SO MANY birds at the beach today#robins and gulls and ducks and I think eagles (pictures are still uploading) and geese and doves#and evidently several types of blackbirds#plus a bunch of other songbirds I'm really bad at identifying and the plover(?) I never remember the name of#the funny little one that always looks and sounds two seconds away from a nervous breakdown
