Been seeing all this Jacob Seed talk, so I had to research, and then I find out Mark Pellegrino is his voice actor. My Lucifer! Ate beignets next to him at Cafe Du Monde before the SPN convention that morning. So I mean, I guess I gotta get into Far Cry 5 for my lord and savior Lucy.

I've also, been meaning to ask if you've watched the trailer for The Penguin and what you think?!?

Ahhh, that must have been amazing!! 🤩 So lucky!! And yes! He's really great as a VA, and I don't think I'd like Jacob as much as I do if he was voiced by someone else. Pellegrino really brings the same calculating coldness to Jacob as he did for Luci, and it just makes him feel very human, very flawed but at the same time, extremely dangerous. But FC5 voice acting is honestly top tier (outside of the same copy pasted NPCs who stand in front of each other, with the exact same face and voice, and talk to each other when you're traipsing through the forest).

And AHHHHHH, the Penguin!!!! I can't wait to see it, and I already know it's gonna be sooo good! It seems like they are leaning into the Fredo angle with Farrell!Penguin still being undermined by a lot of people, but that shot with him just laughing in a dark room??? After presumably gunning people down?? 😳 Absolute perfection. I love that it has the same atmosphere as the grimy, wet looking Reeves Batman but with the added element of a late 70s early 80s mob/mafia film. Can't wait to see it!

Hello, it's Queenie! I loved what you said in the other anon's ask about Colin Morgan's facial hair. Tumblr would absolutely explode if Colin was actually cast as a fae king in a play or a movie. Like, how would he look if he was cast as King Oberon from a Midsummer Night's Dream? An Actual God, that's what. Also, you mention other works he's been in like Humans and the Living and the Dead. Are those shows good? Do you recommend? I need more Colin Morgan content in my life, please!

Ahhh, I’m not sure, actually !!! I think it’s all good tbh but my interests really just aren’t the same as your interests ((as evidenced by My Boyfriend Merlin LMAO)) but i can give you a rundown on it, if you like, and you can pick what sounds good to you!!

Humans is basically your stereotypical futuristic robots-are-slaves-and-society-is-literal-hell BBC series. it IS a pretty fresh take on things - we get a pretty serious look at a world where humans and robots freely intermingle, and how truly complicated that would be, for both organics and synthetics, and nearly all the characters grab you from the first episode, you really just want to see everybody get a happily ever after, and everybody is very well-written and believable. Colin Morgan plays a homeless human/robot hybrid called Leo who sleeps in his car and is really ride-or-die for his family. There’s the usual unnecessary sex scenes and adultery plotlines, plus Emily Berrington’s character, Niska, has a brief stint in a brothel in S1, and it’s not graphic, but it IS uncomfortable. but at least it’s over pretty quick, and you don’t have to dwell on it too much. (@ The Last Kingdom, i am literally begging you to take notes.) Humans is available on Amazon Prime, YouTube, Itunes, Google Play, and Vudu!

The Living and The Dead ((i HAVE NOT seen this one in full yet, but a pretty good chunk of it)) is a Victorian-era BBC supernatural horror ((and i personally don’t think it’s that scary at all, but again, i haven’t seen it all in full, so i could very well just have missed some spooky shit lol)) where Colin Morgan plays a psychologist named Nathan who sees ghosts !!! he has a beautiful wife and lots of anxiety but honestly who doesn’t in this economy. The Living and The Dead is available on Amazon Prime, YouTube, Google Play, and Vudu!!

The Fall ((by far my favorite!!!)) is a BBC modern-era psychological thriller with Gillian Anderson, Jamie Dornan and John Lynch. Colin Morgan has a smaller bit in this series than the first two above - he appears about midway through S2 - bUT he plays a VERY handsome detective called Tom Anderson AND he talks in his natural (Irish) accent, and also, he’s like the Unofficial Office Heartthrob, literally EVERYBODY in the series comments at some point on how attractive he is (John Lynch’s character, Jim Burns, even refers to him as a “pretty boy” at one point, and it is every bit as hilarious as it sounds). The series itself centers around Gillian Anderson (or Stella Gibson, in-series, but honestly she’ll always be Scully to me and no, you canNOT @ me abt this lmao) on the search for the serial killer played by Jamie Dornan (Paul Spector in-series.) Paul Spector typically murders his (female) victims via strangulation, so yes, it can get pretty graphic. Honestly, it’s nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be (some coward literally referred to the series finale as “the most traumatizing hour of television BBC ever produced” and it’s,,,,, not ???? it’s really not ???) but if you don’t like lots of on-screen violence, it might not be the series for you!! If that’s not too off-putting for you, though, it really is a wonderful series, brilliantly written, and everybody is so flawless in their roles, it’s incredible! Also Laura Donnelly (Merlin’s ladylove, Freya, on BBC Merlin!) plays Jamie Dornan’s first murder victim so. there’s that. honestly pour one out for Laura Donnelly, can she ever land a role where she doesn’t die one episode in ???? survey says no. The Fall is available on Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Itunes, Google Play, and Vudu!!

OOF that got way longer than i wanted it to, sorry, but i hope you like at least one of the recommendations on the list !! all thirst aside, Colin Morgan is just a brilliant actor, and i’m always happy to recommend more content with him !!

Alright fuck it. These are some choices I've made for what actxs I've chosen to represent the Mighty Nein. This is just for shits and giggles, and I'd love to hear some more ideas from other people.

Caleb - Daniel Brühl

I've chosen this picture because of the facial hair. I think it's perfect for Caleb. Brühl has almost everything I want. Ability to use a thick German accent, capable of praying more thoughtful low key characters, and solid general facial construction. The one thing I'm missing is the red hair, but that's an easy change. Plus finding a different suitable German actor who also has red hair wasn't super easy. I'm not trying /super/ hard here.

Nott - Pixie Davies

I had a lot of... choices... to make here. I'm not incredibly familiar with child performers, so I just had to look at lists. My first immediate assumption was Millie Bobby Brown, but I think I'll save her for Twiggy, if I ever do a side character version of this post. I considered also just using very short adults, but it was difficult to find anything under 5 feet. I really wanted to hit that 3-4 foot mark, and I think it's insulting to just exclude child performers. I couldn't find Pixie's exact height, and I felt kinda gross looking for it. This was just an odd experience. Anyways, I watched a couple interviews. She's pretty well spoken, and seemed to be able to joke around enough. I only hope she'd be comfortable cursing and portraying an alcoholic.

Beau - Karen Fukuhara

This was hands down the most research I did. Trying to find Asian actresses that a) had martial arts training, b) spoke English, c) were in their mid-late 20s, and d) had a relatively similar skin tone to Beau want easy. Karen fits all of these, other than being born in Los Angeles, and I think it'd be silly to be that elitist. She also seems to be a little paler in every other photo besides this one. As a side note, I had another really solid choice, Rina Takeda, who also fit all of these except one. I could not find any records of her speaking English. No interviews, no imdb, no Wikipedia. I thought she at least deserved an honorable mention.

Fjord - Idrissa (Idris) Elba

Did you know his first name was actually Idrissa? I didn't. I don't know if this is the case for him, but I really despise when people are forced to "Americanize" their names for Hollywood. Or any reason I guess, if there are other reasons. Anyways, holy shit I love this man, although this role almost went to Daniel Kaluuya, who's another actor I love. The main reason I chose Idrissa though is the accents. According to articles on the internet he's an incredible accent actor. I wouldn't know, I don't actually watch a bunch of movies hahahaaa.... Considering he's playing a character with *spoilies* two accents, I think that's incredibly important. He's also buff as fuck, and has solid facial construction for the role. My only issue with this pick is his height. He's 6'2". I wanted him around 5'11", since Daniel Brühl is only 5'9", and the actress I chose for Yasha is only 6'. I don't think Fjord should be taller than Yasha, but I also think the performance is more important, so here we are. To be fairly honest I could've looked harder for someone who fits that description, but did I mention how much I love him?

Jester - Nikolina Dobreva (Nina Dobrev)

Yay another case of Americanization. I chose her because she's Bulgarian, and I find Jester's accent closely related to Bulgarian, or maybe Slovenian accents. Now just because she's Bulgarian doesn't mean she can do the accent, I don't actually know if she can. Searching up "actresses that can do Bulgarian accents" is pretty niche, ya know? I decided it'd be better to just shoot for national accuracy, and hope for the best. Also, she's pretty funny. She's 5'7", so she matches up pretty well with the other choices. She also has a solid face for the character, and in this specific picture has Jester-esque hair. Cool? Cool.

Yasha - Claudia Katz Minnick

While for the most part I've been looking for people who match nationalities, I couldn't reeeeeally do that here? I prioritized height and face over nationality. I mean I'm sure I /could've/ pulled it off, but again, I'm not trying super hard. That being said, if there's any of these choices I'd say could benefit the most from a second look, it's this one.

Pardoning that intro, I actually love this choice. She's 6', and it's pretty difficult to find actresses past that. I strongly considered Gwendoline Christie, but she doesn't really have the sharp jaw that Yasha has. I think with some more muscle, Claudia can pull off the visual easily.

Caduceus - Jeff Goldblum

This might've been my favorite character to do this for. Searching for male actors above like 6'4" is NOT hard. I had a lot of options. I considered Jason Momoa. I thought Joe Manganiello would be funny because /critical role/. I thought Dwayne Johnson would've been HILARIOUS. However, I needed someone who was way skinnier than that. Eventually it came down to Armie Hammer vs. Alexander Skarsgård. I ended up going with Armie Hammer because he had an easier time pulling off Cad's deep voice. It was only then that the holy light of the Blum shown upon me.

If the pure memeage of having Jeff Goldblum playing Caduceus isn't enough to sell you, I'll give some more details. He's 6'4", which is two inches taller than the next tallest on this list at 6'2". He's lanky as all fuck. He's got the perfect personality to play such a casual weirdo. His voice is also perfect for the role. Good enough?

before i go in and start on the remaining two episodes of GAU, i just really want to make sure all of you know that my love for this entire ass episode is endless.

the urban legend horror?? not always my thing but absolutely loved it here

the concept that belief can actually make things come to life plus the A++ plot justification? INCREDIBLE

the execution - flawless. i’ve never been so terrified listening to an audio in my LIFE and i loved every second of it.

Ng’s entire everything in this period. the way she defeated ScrapeJane (TWICE!!!) honestly deserves its own post, her whole nightmare/fear and yet still... she’s worried for her God?, her belief in Torchwood... and was that just me or did her accent sound especially Welsh in the end?? right when she started talking about ‘[her] daughter’. the sheer attention to detail i am !!!!!!!! (and while we’re at it, she referred to herself as a Welsh woman before - i know she expressed it before but it really now just hit me that this is?? her home now??? this is part of her Identity now and i am L I V I N G)

Colchester. feelings. ALL OF THEM. obviously!!!! while it got almost-awkward at times thinking ‘actually, that was Tyler...and God’ when he talked about Colin loving and believing in him bringing him back.... HIS STRUGGLE WAS (IS!!!) SO VERY REAL, he’s terrified he’ll blow that second chance he’s gotten, and also that he won’t do much ‘good’ anymore with the way TW’s been going...... god. i thought from the beginning on that he sounded... different, almost off, and it took me a second to realize that yeah. attention to detail babey, that’s bc he IS. he doesn’t feel the same, he ISN’T the same anymore. ..just. FUCK ME UP ALL THE WAY!!!

“I met my hero”, The incredible true story... (Feat Milo Ventimiglia)

This past weekend I met the most incredible man that I’ve ever met. Spoiler: it was Milo Ventimiglia. Not a big surprise, but still. He’s the nicest person ever. You know, it’s hard to find someone as kind as he is in our crazy world. Milo is definitely an angel. I already knew that but now I can confirm it because he was an angel with me. I met an angel. He didn’t have a halo or wings but his heart is just full of love and compassion.

Thanks to him I experienced this amazing weekend with my Twitter friends (Sal, Camille, Kathy and Yota). I was so happy to finally meet them.

On Saturday we arrived maybe 30 minutes after the opening. We were so excited and Milo was the first person we saw.

“Oh my god! Is he real? Is that handsome man really Milo Ventimiglia in person?”

We couldn’t believe it, he was so handsome with his red shirt. We got in line and we waited for almost one hour. That was pretty crazy. He took his time with everyone and he talked to them. He seemed… cool, like he was hanging out with some friends. I was stressed, really, but to be honest the closer I got to meet him, the better I felt. It was a strange feeling to experience, but I felt so happy and good at the same time. My friends went before me and when I was in front of him I was literally SPEECHLESS.

“Am I dreaming? Someone help me, please! If it’s a dream it’s not even FUNNY. Stop it now. Oh my god, it’s him, he’s real, he’s perfect, it’s him, it’s him, it’s Milo!” He took my hand and told me “Milo, nice to meet you!” He asked me what my name was but he didn’t hear me so I told him again “Pauline, sorry I’m French…” Then, I gave him my gift and my letter and he said “oh! Oh my god!” I smiled, I wasn't able to say anything so I just smiled. He signed my Chosen DVD and then took my phone by himself and we took photos together.

Before I left he told me “have a great day, take care” and I said “thank you, I will…” I was disappointed in myself because I would have loved to talk to him about a lot of things but as french it’s hard to find the right words in front of an angel. After that we went to the Gotham panel with Milo. It was cool even if he didn’t talk that much. At least we heard him singing “happy birthday”… During the afternoon we had our photos ops with him. I had one with Sal and one alone. When Sal left, I stayed next to Milo and the photographer screamed to Camille “NEXT” but nobody saw that I was still there. I touched Milo’s shoulder and I said “I’m still here…” he looked at Camille and he laughed so hard. He screamed “NEXT NEXT NEXT”, it was hilarious, thanks to the photographer Milo has a huge smile on our photo. When Camille, Sal and I went to our hotel room we learned that Milo was the last one to leave the Olympia (a loooong time after the end). I told you… an angel.

Sunday was PERFECT. I mean literally perfect. On Saturday I bought a photo op with Milo and Colin and I was so excited about it. Plus we had our group photo with the girls (the Opposite Sex photoshoot). We arrived earlier that morning and it was perfect. Sal went to get her autograph with Milo before Camille and I was the last one. When she asked him about Relationship Status he talked to us like we were friends and that was so cool. We laughed and when he wrote “darling” on her autograph I told Camille “Am I dreaming or did he really wrote “darling”…?” and she said “yes he did!” Then it was my turn! I looked at him and he said “hi darling nice to meet you again” (I was dead inside, for your information). He asked me if I had a great day. I told him “I’m glad to meet you”, he thanked me and asked me “you’re gonna meet someone else today?” I responded “just you and Colin”, “Colin? Nice guy, yeah a great man!” At this time I was scared to not be able to talk so I breathed and I said “you know, I want to thank you… I want to write a book and... you inspire me so much”, he looked at me, he smiled and he said “really? That’s so nice, thank you”. He took my phone and we took some photos. I thanked him, he smiled at me and he said “have a great day, take care okay?” with his hand on his heart followed by a wink. I still can’t believe he did that. Anyway. His smile means the world, it’s like a therapy or something like that. I felt so good after that, like everything was okay. I would have loved to talk with him much longer but like I said it was hard to find the right words - but I’m still satisfied, it was already more that I hoped, just enough for me. After the Captain America panel we had our group photo. It was so cool and fun. Milo seemed happy and he liked the idea. Then I had my duo with Colin and Milo. It was funny because I asked Milo if he could put his HEAD on my shoulder and he put his HANDS on my shoulder (french accent problem). So, the story of my pic is cool. And Milo, Colin and I were literally matching (blue, black and green outfits). The last time I saw him he was still signing some autographs. I felt so sad and happy at the same time.

Plus, one of the many reasons why this day was perfect is that he tweeted about our gifts and letters. He never did that before.

My heart was beating so fast when he did. We were in our hotel room, Camille and Sal were having a random talk and I screamed “MILO TWEETED! MILO TWEETED!” Sal jumped off our bed and looked at her phone. When we saw that he was talking about our letters we were so excited. I talked to him about my book in my letter and he actually read it. An angel.

I can’t believe that everything I'm writing down really happened. I’m not talking about a dream, I’m talking about reality. I met Milo.

I am so lucky to have him as my idol, as an example every single day of my life. He is my true inspiration in everything. He is everything. He’s nice, passionate, caring, attentive, sweet, beautiful… I couldn't be more thankful than I am after this weekend. I am so glad I had the chance to finally meet him after all this time. I learned so much from him and now I met him. I shouldn't be sad after that, but I am because it’s over and I deeply want to see him again. But I’m also very happy because it happened and it was one of my biggest dream.
