PLOT DROP 02.

The darkness creeps in the air, a sensation of impeding doom following the massacre that rolled in with the storm. There is a growing need now amongst the residents of Oblitus, a need for hope, for ease, for laughter. And what better way to aspire for all, than to attend the annual Halloween party at Colony House. And while the party will, no doubt, be different this year, with more new faces, louder atmosphere to drown out the screeches from the outside, it is sure to bring on some much needed relief. So take out your finest garments, your tastiest treats and head over to Colony House before the night rolls in. Oh and do make sure not to open the door for any trick-or-treaters....for you might just end up a treat.

OOC: Welcome to our second plot drop and the most fun party Oblitus can get!

Note to all: Halloween Party is an old tradition dating back for as long as the residents can remember. Every year, the whole town gathers at the Colony House to enjoy the night of music, games and laughter. It is a tradition reserved to mock the town and its many horrors, while also ensuring everyone is safe and sound and most importantly -- not alone. During this night, the monsters that usually roam the town are unable to assume their human form, so they are seen around in their real form, and their powers of allure and persuasion are at an all-time-high. This is why, in preparation for the party, the windows are blacked out entirely, and residents are forbidden from peaking through.

Our Halloween event will be taking place from Friday, November 1st (6pm EST) through to following Tuesday, November 5th.

We encourage everyone to put their current threads on pause during the event!

WITH ICE COLD HANDS , TAKING HOLD OF ME .

PLOT DROP 01 ( PT. 2 )

Your   heart   is   beating   faster   than   your   thoughts   can   keep   up.   You're   running,   and   yet   nothing   is   chasing   you.   Y-You're   bleeding,   when   did   you   start   bleeding ?

As the storm rolls in, panic quickly begins to erupt amongst the township of Oblitus. People that you've grown to care for, people that you've grown to love- they die everyday. But this- this was different. You did nothing wrong. You followed all the rules. You didn't open the doors. Still, body's line the gravel roads, paved in hues of crimson and iron. It feels like the sun will never return. And yet, dawn peaks in through the clouds, misery is over- or has it only just begun?

Dear people of Oblitus , we regret to inform you- amongst the dead, we can not express the sadness that radiates through the lives lost and people amongst the casulties, please report to your designated jobs after check in, if you are injured- seek medical attention, and in mourning we are together.

Finally, after what felt like the longest night of your muse's life, whether they slept, or they promised to stay awake with whoever they ended up trapped with- the storm is over, and dawn is quickly approaching, but not without malice. You emerge from the darkness, only to count the bodies of the lost and injured. Be careful, the others might need your help.

Ellington Taylor - While you proved your cunning, and your bravery amongst those who needed you the most, it was not without damage. As you emerge into the darkness, you couldn't have seen it- the creature waiting with taloned claws and jagged teeth. - Ellington Taylor sustained major injuries - a large gash the the left leg, where a creature nearly stopped you from your quick flee, minor cuts and bruises in various areas, and a broken rib.

Kang Daehyun - In an effort to protect those you love, when the door of the location you were hiding in mysteriously opens-- whether it be a newcomer, someone you trusted, or just an unfortunate accident.. You're caught between the hinge and whatever awful creature it was, outside. Kang Daehyun sustained minor injuries - minors cuts and bruises along your face and hands, and two broken fingers.

Eddy Alvarez - While your attempts at remaining concealed from those around you was in good effort, you had no control of the newcomer that begged and pleaded at the window, smashing it in their wake of panic. You were able to escape, but not without a few minor injuries - a gash to your left temple, and bruises in the shape of.. fingerprints? or is that claws?

Kina Canowicakte - It was a valiant effort, and while you weren't alone when the attack happened, it cost you everything. Amongst the rubble, and the bodies, another one lays with a familiar face, and you'll be buried with the others in the very place you so desperately hoped to escape.

Several others have not been found, including the missing body of Elm Mossbach, last seen before the storm.

You are now free to either post starters related to after the event, continue your threads as you so wish, or make self paras in regards to those effected by the monsters as an insight to what happened when they were attacked.

PLOT DROP 01.

After a long day and an even longer night of new arrivals, the dawn has finally cracked through the skies of the lost town !! New faces are looked upon with worry and distrust, but guided gently to the communal area for lunch where a town meeting will be held to decide on their living quarters. The board in front of the Sheriff's station is now replacing '47 days without an incident' with a disheartening new '0'. But the influx of new people, and new bodies to bury, is not the only change looming over Oblitus. Just as the residents are leaving the lunch area, heavy and dark clouds cover the skies, gentle rain starts to wet the dried-up ground. There is shock, disbelief and confusion amounting to near-panic. The weather of Oblitus has remained largely unchanged for as long as the records can show. Thunder is soon to follow, and as the skies darken further, blocking out the sun, a slow but steady walk of the 'others' appears from the woods ahead. Will you run? Or will you hide? Will the storm ever end? Will the sun ever rise?

OOC: Welcome to our very first plot drop and the official opening of our lovely group!

Note to all: The weather of Oblitus has been unchanged for decades, with gentle and light rain falling every couple of weeks. A storm in this town is something unseen before, and utterly frightening. The monsters are now out during the day as the storm covered the sun, and the characters have been caught off guard. They can run back to the communal/lunch area and wait it out, or they can run to any of the nearby buildings/houses. Just make sure you mention your location in your starters.

For our newcomers: the arrival and the first night happened only 'yesterday' within the verse, it is now a brand new day and they are not having much time to adjust before the storm rolls in and the monsters walk out. Your characters must find shelter, be it one of the public places, or a residents houses/motel/colony house.

For our residents: this is the first time anyone sees such a sudden change of weather and it is the worst kind of omen, the residents will be confused and frightened and some might be pretty far out -- working the farm fields or scavenging the woods. Please make sure wherever your character is, that they remain quick on their feet and find the nearest shelter without getting caught. And if they can, help the newcomers -- the only way through, is together.

P.S. Normally the newcomers are assigned a 'chaperone' for a day or two so they can learn about the place and settle in. Sadly, this is not the case today.
