stayed home ill today, which means having a small avian companion on me for extended periods of time. currently, the girls are trying quite desperately to get at my cup of (decaf) coffee. at least the older one knows what "ow, hot" means. the younger one? trying so many daring ploys to sneak around my watchful gaze.

she doesn't realize i can feel her walking down my arm, and always acts so alarmed when i say "no" without looking at her. like gurl you are old enough to understand this by now.

miss shunky shushu turns 10 soon. it only feels like it's been a few months... my perception of time has gone weird. maybe i'll make her a yogurt cake this year. who knew that i'd have the companionship of a little knife-faced dinosaur for an entire decade?
