#pitch would inevitably taunt and tease enough to imply he's still a force to be reckoned with

Imhotep summons Pitch Black to grand him knowlage and teach him how to enter the dreams and turn into nightmares.
Ooooh I like this concept!
While I can see Imhotep viewing dreams and nightmares as not something strictly necessary to his skill set (preffering to get things done definitively in real life) There is a not insignificant chance that some mythology or artefact he is after would require mastery of these realms.
Does- does he even sleep? I literally have no idea, I would suspect not, but for the sake of things lets say he can but finds it deeply uncomfortable. Sleep is an approach to death and he's already over that line.
He wouldn't know Pitch as the Boogeyman, or even necessarily as Pitch Black (that pun doesn't cross the ancient egyptian language barrier) but Pitch has been on earth for thousands of years and would absolutely have been roaming Ancient Egypt enough to have been known.
And he was absolutely more powerful back then, no questions asked. There was a lot to be afraid of back then, even in a kingdom as eternal as Egypt.
Now Pitch on the other hand is going to take offense at being summoned on principle. He's above this sort of thing! He can't be mysterious and unknowable if anyone and their mother can yank him into a summoning circle on a whim.
On the other hand Imhotep is treating him with the kind of wards and harsh bargaining that denote an assumption of power and justifyable wariness. He was much stronger back when Imhotep was alive, so to be treated with almost-respect is a lovely change.
To be frank I don't think Pitch would teach him anything that wouldn't support Pitch in the long run. He might lend Imhotep a nightmare or two, but I thing he would be quite posessive of his new territory over bad dreams, and too aware of the risk in getting the Sandman's attention by purposefully messing with dreams in general.
All in all, a wary encounter on both sides, with the potential for further future collaboration in the air.
