favorite thing about them

I like that he's so miserable. This is the siren song for me, if they're miserable I love them. I like that he is so desperate for Trina's sleep he tries to recreate it himself and it's just this pale and awful imitation of her purity. I love when he aggros on us (and ok at first I was scared I had to kill him and I was so sad lol like I knew he'd die, but I didn't want it to be my fault!!), and how he grows through it to ally with us again. That his faith in Trina was such that it helped him overcome this sorta cowardly "im a wimp who cant do anything" belief and drove him to challenge a god for her.

least favorite thing about them

that he buffs the boss healthbar when I summon him but isn't as good for the fight as Ansbach :[ he truly is weak as a kitten hum

favorite line

him and Ansbach! I like the idea of the latter taking on a kind of mentorship role to this rejected, pathetic dweeb, and Thiollier earning his respect before the battle was a cute moment.

Honestly not sure. I can think of pairings that'd be fun for pure horny reasons but nothing that really says 'theyd be actually good together'. Maybe he'd go well with Maleigh Marais, since poison and rot are pretty well respected there rather than denigrated as seems to be the case where he is from? Or a perfumer?

I don't really have many nOTPs tbh lol Maybe I think him and Leda would be hard to justify and get into? Her dedication to Miquella is in direct opposition to his own for St. Trina, but she's also willing to murder people over such a difference, so I can't see her falling for him. Or much of anyone who isn't faithful to Miq lol

random headcanon

Since he is a Tarnished, he probably died once before coming to the Lands Between. It's tempting to say that death was from imbibing Trina's nectar, but I struggle to justify how he'd get access to it if he lived outside the Lands. Maybe a traveling merchant had some and he stole it, and died, and has been chasing that high ever since.

unpopular opinion

I don't like 'he's just a widdle eepy guy' type takes on him. It diminishes his character, and there's more of interest to be said about him than how eepy he is. I'm a grouch, there is no fun allowed.
