need to figure out why mylings are the only ghost-adjacent creature that exists in the lore for my main universe. rotating the worldbuilding in my head like a rotisserie chicken to find out
#worldbuilding and lore#waugh#ghosts cannot exist in my lore essentially bc#my oracles instinctively show up upon the death of someone and take their soul to the next life (whatever that may be)#physically its impossible for a soul to exist bc there's always enough oracles to immediately take them over#SO what makes it so that mylings are made?#ive penciled them in as existing but havent touched on them in any story specifically bc i wasnt sure how to do so#without going back on everything ive built for oracles/souls#but now i have the PERFECT spot in a story for this particular character to be a myling#in fact its so perfect that i can't imagine her as anything else now bc its just not as good#but that means sitting here and agonizing over what needs to happen to make an exception to the hard rules of my universe#anyways if anyone has suggestions im down to entertain any possible suggestions#my best ideas come from spitballing with friends until something clicks just right
