#extravagant fashion: an interest so obscure I keep forgetting I have it until I'm waist-deep in research I probably don't even need to do #petticoats! hoop skirts! ruffles and lace! gimme ALL'a that shit #historical fashion especially is my jam!#it’s just fascinating seeing how people of all cultures have expressed themselves through clothing since the beginning of recorded history #so far it looks like we're basing Mario's royal attire on Victorian-era military uniforms #I headcanon a great deal of Peach's fashion as befitting the early Victorian period so it's fitting~#peaches screams into the void
