Carpet Cleaning Tips
Carpets are an important part of your home or business and should be cleaned regularly. Carpet cleaning removes dirt and helps your carpet last longer by removing dirt that can cause the fibers to break down.
Professional carpet cleaning Yatala also removes allergens and bacteria from your carpet. This can improve the health of your family and employees and reduce allergic reactions. Regular carpet cleaning can also extend the life of your carpet and increase the performance.
Keeping your carpet clean can make it look better and feel more comfortable to walk on. Regular cleaning can also reduce odors and prevent the growth of mold and mildew in your carpet. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when choosing the right type of cleaning for your carpet.
There are two methods of cleaning carpets: dry or wet. Dry cleaning uses a no-moisture or very low moisture method. Specialised truck mount or mobile machines use chemical products known as “dry shampoos” to clean your carpets. The carpet is then vacuumed up using a professional-strength dry vacuum cleaner. This method can be time consuming as the carpet takes hours to dry.
Wet cleaning uses hot water extraction (HWE), which is commonly referred to as steam cleaning. The process begins by spraying a pre-conditioning shampoo on the carpet to liquefy soil and oil-based stains. Then a machine sucks up the shampoo, along with all the dirt and stains, leaving your carpet clean.
Dry Carpet Cleaning
Dry carpet cleaning is similar to wet cleaning but instead of using a shampoo, it uses an absorbent compound. A mechanical brush is used to distribute the compound and then it is vacuumed up with a professional-strength dry carpet cleaning machine. This method can take an hour or more to complete in a home, so it is typically done later in the day when most people are not in the house.
The best way to protect your investment and extend the life of your carpet is by having it professionally cleaned on a regular basis. A professional can help you determine the type of carpet cleaning and frequency that is best for your needs. It is a good idea to have the carpets cleaned at least every 12-18 months, if not more frequently depending on your needs and the type of carpet you have. In addition, having your carpets cleaned regularly can reduce the risk of water damage and improve indoor air quality.
iCarpet Clean and Pest Control will take care of everything your needs in Carpet Cleaning and Pest Control Services in Australia. Call our team today to book and Carpet cleaning and pest control Brisbane, Logan, gold coast or anywhere else come with various challenges which our experts are trained to handle.ro a great choice for those who need fast and effective water damage restoration.

So this may be weird also sorry for the grammar but Australian yuu, mate can turn into Australian animals after eating Aussie food that’s the way how they transform also they are just a mix of all Aussie people and has hoards of animals but at grim mate has learnt the way of the Aussie
Sure thing, ( I hope I'm not offending people here )

Australia, officially the Commonwealth of Australia, is a country comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania and numerous smaller islands. Australia has a total area of 7,688,287 km², making it the sixth-largest country in the world and the largest country by area in Oceania.
Nothing has really changed to be honest, Aussie!yuu was teleported to NRC, the plot continues and then they realize that they are able to talk and transform into their own national animals...
Aussie!yuu is known in NRC as their own personal pest control or as well a magical beast tamer, known for their deep connection to animals, they are able to interact with them.
If there was ever a wild beast or animal running wild, who do you call... Aussi yuu. They have a collection of very rare insects in their dorms like spiders, snakes, etc.
Known for their talent to swoop in any danger and tame a beast in seconds, as well they're curiousity over animals.
Grim has to learn how to live with animals or insects crawling up their bed every night because they miss Aussie!yuu present.
Their ability to shape shift into their country's national animal as well to communicate with them comes in handy
They are also able to change their body part into the animal they are choosing.
Known for their thick accent and we'll build a body, many students are very intimidated, epel admired them and will ask for their work out routine as well to teach him.
Once they caught rook trying to kill one of the species they were taking care wanting to make a coat for vil, originally they dont trust rook as well like to keep distance from him.
But once rook apologized to them, they started to warm up against him but still have his guard up. Once in a week they will invite rook to ramshackle to study the biology of the animals.
Jamil during the VDC stay in the ramshackle dorm takes one look at the dorm surroundings of insects and creatures , turn around and bolted out of there. Was literally dragged by the rest of the group while screaming his lungs out because he doesn't want to get near the spiders, now he stays at one of the rooms that is very far from where Aussie yuu keep their animals.
Grim has already gotten used to the animals, and befriends multiple and even befriends a huntsman tarantula named hunter courtesy of Aussie!yuu naming him that. Aussie yuu will always appear with a different type of spider in their shoulders every single day.
Different shapes and different patterns, the spiders are wildly different. Adeuce originally creeped up until these spiders learned how to mischievous and pull pranks with them on multiple students.
Aussie!Yuu's favourite thing to shape shift by far are snakes or spiders they also can change their shape as well the size their taking.
The animals that are being taken care of by Aussie!yuu, has grown a loving relationship towards them, they care about them during the scarabia arc, the entire of them go out and search for Aussie!yuu.
The students that were tasked to watch over them were bitten pass out when they see a parade of insects and animals marching towards them.
They use the key they manage to steal to open the door and bring Aussie!yuu and grim home. As well when Jamil was checking up on them he literally passed out on the floor.
As revenge for taking their caretaker hostage the animals decide to infested the dorm and since they're unable to do anything to do these animals being invasive. Jamil literally had to beg them to put a stop on their animal reign of terror.
It did, but still he grew scared of Aussie!yuu sent his animals to crawl his bed and scared the shit out of him. As well as for multiple students fear them calling them a monarch of creatures.
Other than their best friend pall of a spider, their other pall that always appears on top of their head hugging and cuddling against them is Larry the koala. It is so cute to the point Larry becomes a popular internet sensation.

WEASOIL (poison)
One of the most vicious and viscous pokemon to inhabit the region,Weasoil are violent bullies whose main source of food and entertainment consists of raiding the nests of other pokemon (preferring tree nesting flying types most of all) and bullying them into giving up their food and homes through strangulation with its prehensile, oil-like body and noxious petroleum funk.
Weasoil was initially brought to the region as a form of pest control, however due to changing attitudes and better befitting of it's devious temperament and slippery form,in modern times it is most often trained by ne'er-do-wells as a means of theft and poaching. Some corners of the regions government have considered introducing larger pokemon to keep them in line such as Yungoos and Gumshoos akin to in alola, but others have shouted down that idea as short sighted, as who knows what another Predator like weasoil could do to the regions fragile ecosystems...
In terms of training, Weasoil are generally recommended only for advanced trainers, although some are convinced of the pokemons ability to act cooperative, righteous and even plain friendly it often takes a long while and a disciplined trainer to do so,although the reward of a ferocious battling partner has convinced many to try,with...mixed results.
Back again with another pokemon design, as whilst I know I did the poll I've been struck with a bit of artists block recently and decided to draw up something different, this (and a second pokemon coming very soon) being the result,I hope you like it!
Design inspiration down below:
Like with it's sister region alola, a big chunk of this regions story regards the effects of introduced and invasive species (in particular the designs ive planned for the legendaries,so watch this space) as well as the changes that can come to habitats because of them, with weasoil being based on two of the most harmful to the wildlife of the Pacific Islands, the brown tree snake and the stoat, as well as oil spills, which are particularly harmful to birds through damaging their feathers and ability to fly.

Vitamorte - Chapter 2: The Barrier
(A/N: I've been watching a lot of resident evil speedruns lately, so that inspired me to pick up this story again. No other explanation required cuz no ones gonna read it but me XD)
No warnings, but Leon is an overprotective hubby. Also it hit me that I haven't said where this would take place in the main timeline; it takes place between death island and re7
Tumblr media
Chris knocked on the door.
A farmhouse wasn't what he expected for one of the best government agents and virus researcher. It was a nice place- a typical 2-story home with a lazy, old white shepherd lounging on the patio, a front yard with an apple tree and a swing, and no neighbors around for miles.
Perfect for privacy.
The dog lifted its head and wagged its tail.
"Hey, Milky," Chris chuckled, leaning over to pat the good boy on the head. "You're still kicking, huh?"
Milky panted and rested its head again.
"Who the hell is that? I swear I didn't order a-" The door swung open, revealing the one person Chris was hoping to avoid- Leon Kennedy-Kim himself. And it seemed like Chris was the last person Leon was expecting, too. Because he froze immediately at the sight of his colleague, lips curling into a fierce scowl.
"I thought I made it clear that I'm on break," Leon scoffed. "Whatever it is, I ain't hearing it until at least a month."
"Well, you're in luck, because you're not the one I'm here to see," Chris sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Is Sarah in?"
Leon stared at him, eyes piercing. "What are you-"
"Dad! Mom said pie's ready! C'mon, let's eat!"
Leon glared at Chris, but ultimately swung the door open. "Shoes off. We don't want dirt in the house."
Chris wordlessly obeyed, figuring that getting into Leon's good graces at the moment would get him better results. But as he shut the door behind him, he heard footsteps pattering in the room next door, and a head of blond hair popped out.
"Whoa, it's Uncle Chris," the little girl gasped, before she darted back in the room. "Zane, come on, Uncle Chris is here!"
He chuckled. Grace hadn't changed a bit since the last time he saw her. Still as energetic, bouncy and innocent as ever, a spitfire image of her mother with her dad's hair.
And then Zane walked out- tall for an 11-year-old, black hair, with Leon's piercing blue eyes to match. He smiled at the older man. "Hi, Uncle Chris. You look older."
"I feel older," he laughed, ruffling the boy's hair. "You got taller, I can tell."
"And hungrier. Boy tears through three bowls of rice like there's no tomorrow," Leon grumbled as he set out plates and cups. Grace finally snuck out to dash into the kitchen, giving Chris a small wave.
"...Are you here for work again, Uncle Chris?" Zane whispered, eyes fixed on the kitchen to make sure his sister was out of earshot. "More bad stuff?"
"Yeah." Chris sighed before patting Zane on the back. Kid was always too smart for his own good. "But don't worry. With me and hopefully your mom on the case, it shouldn't be too bad of a problem."
"So it's Mom..." Zane stared off into the distance before shaking his head. "Dad's not gonna like that."
"No, he isn't."
And speak of the devil, Leon reemerged from the kitchen holding a pitcher, and the very person Chris needed followed close behind, a large pie in hand.
"When Leon told me we had guests, I didn't realize I called the pest control," Sarah Kennedy-Kim cackled, setting down the pie to pat his shoulder. "What's the greatest bug killer doing in my house?"
"Catching rats," he sighed. "I could use a hand in getting a few strays."
She stared at him. Chris fidgeted under the intensity of her gaze.
"Really, now?" she finally said. Sarah plopped on a chair and cut some slices of pie, gesturing for Chris to sit.
Leon huffed, then passed over two hefty slices to the children, wordlessly motioning for them to head up the stairs. Zane caught on quickly, and after grabbing glasses of lemonade, prodded his sister to follow him up.
The two waited until there was a click of a door, and only then did Leon speak. "No."
"Leon-"
"Shut up," he hissed. "She left the field a long time ago, and for damn good reason. You want someone to risk their life, you ask me, but leave my wife out of this!"
"It's not that easy." Chris laid his palms flat on the table. "There's some shit going down in Chile. Some unknown disease is turning people into... something. Supergeniuses. Or freaks of nature." He leaned closer to the scientist. "I don't care whether it's a virus, parasite, or some other bullshit. You're the leading expert on this; I need you on this case."
Sarah hummed, but said nothing else for a solid second. Leon's brows furrowed.
"You've got Rebecca Chambers," she said simply. "She's a genius. Why not ask her?"
"I thought about it," he admitted. "But Rebecca isn't meant for dangerous field work. And more importantly..." He leaned forward, eyes fixed on the scientist. "She's not a gambler. Not like you are. I need someone who's willing to break the rules."
Leon scowled. Sarah shrugged, unfazed.
"Rebecca's fairly good at bending the rules." She poured a glass of lemonade and slid it over to Chris. "But I'll let it slide for now. What's the problem?"
"This." He slid over several pictures. Sarah picked them up and studied them, Leon leaning over her shoulder to take a peek. "Word has it that the disease that's infecting Los Duermos infects the mind- turns the people into-"
"Zombies." Leon waves his hand. "Mindless, dumb, bitches to take down. Shoot them in the head. Simple."
"That's the thing," Chris sighed. "They're not dumb corpses shuffling around. They're fully sentient, not driven by whatever virus or parasite is in their bodies. They're vastly more intelligent than they used to be. Apparently, a good chunk of them even act normally, going about their lives as they used to. But that's the lucky ones. The unlucky folks..."
She studied another picture. Her eyes narrowed. "Who the hell is..."
"Their bodies change drastically; it's like plastic surgery without going under." Chris pinched the bridge of his nose. "They all look the same. Man, woman, or child. They all look like Alex Wesker. With not even half the brains. They're mindless, dumb..." He looked at Leon. "Bitches to take down."
Leon scratched his chin. "It's like Simmons on steroids."
"No kidding." Chris leaned back in his chair. "You see why I need you now? We don't know what the hell is going on, and we need sharp eyes on the ground to get the info we need."
"An army of super geniuses and mutated Weskers..." Sarah mused. "Well, I guess-"
"Sarah," Leon whispered harshly. "This isn't a good idea. You know what happened last time."
She hummed. Chris looked at his folded hands.
"In his defense," she said, "I got kidnapped. It's not exactly field work in the slightest."
"But it still happened," he growled. "I'm not letting that happen ever again."
She silently took Leon's hand in hers, rubbing soft circles in his skin. He instantly softened, and brought her hand to his lips. Chris looked away, giving the couple a brief moment of privacy.
"How long do I have to decide?" she finally asked.
"Tomorrow morning. That's the latest."
She sighed. "I'll let you know by then."
Chris nodded; this was likely the best outcome he was going to get. He stood up and pushed his chair back in.
"Are you gonna finish that?"
He turned around to see Leon pointing at the untouched slice.
With a huff, he sat back down.

I sometimes wonder how the Armand/Daniel power dynamic works in tandem with the fact that Daniel is nearly twice his mortal age. Running with the idea that one's impulses/emotional regulation remain similar to the cognitive control of the age that a vampire was turned at, I think about Armand and his Coven Master Freakishness contending with the fact that at 500-something years old, he still wants his boyfriend to baby him. Pre-bedtime thoughts.
Gosh, I think about this all the time! Armand's power dynamics are my bread and butter (I don't make a lot but it's good, honest work).
Because yes — if we go with the theory that at the biological level, vampire brains simply cannot mature past the point that they were turned — it opens up this entire minefield of contradictions. I usually draw on Lestat for comparison and inspiration when it comes to this sort of Armand meta, just because we hear so much from Lestat's perspective and he is the closest to Armand's mortal age within their little cohort.
But enough about Lestat.
Devil's Minion (being only what, thirty six pages? it's unbelievable) leaves a lot of room for headcanons and various interpretations of what happened when. For the most part, I just don't see Daniel and Armand's big fights and Daniel running away from Night Island until much closer to QotD era (~2 years or so).
What I always noticed is how much more direct Armand seems to be with Daniel than Marius was with him. He cries openly! He expresses his emotions! He doesn't beat him bloody because he doesn't know what else to do with himself! (Because Armand totally and easily could've). It's not great but he's trying! Was Armand better than Marius? In some ways, yes. Was he worse? Also yes, in some ways. This is a whole other conversation though RIP.
Thinking about Armand's ability (or inability) to self-regulate and how much closer he allows (or is unable to keep) his authentic emotions from bubbling to the surface... it's a very raw and youthful trait! And perhaps it's a testament to how close he feels to Daniel, and how affected he is by their arguments and the discord in the relationship.
I wanted to be somewhat saccharine here and instead I'm rambling on, but I also do like to consider what their day-to-day life as a long-term couple would've looked prior to 1984-1985 (when Daniel really started deteriorating and then ran away for the final time).
What did it look like when maybe Daniel made a joke that Armand took the wrong way and then brooded about it or some similar scenario? Because even if he could read Daniel's mind, he couldn't reconcile the intention with the words that came out of his mouth. I wonder if Daniel ever straight up told him, "Babe, I can't read your mind, you have to communicate better than this." And Armand is just shocked that someone can acknowledge where he's at emotionally and guide him in the right direction.
There's a lot of things to factor in here, including what Daniel's own brain development would've looked like due to the lifestyle they lived, but I think either way, he would have definitely had the advantage over Armand in that sense at least.
And how does a perpetually seventeen year old, ferocious vampire tell his boyfriend he just wants a cuddle and a kiss and the reassurance that — for this night at least — everything's okay and he's not going to walk out on him? Probably wallows in passive-aggressive silence and hopes Daniel shows him affection first. Indulges the feeling for a few minutes (because he feels safe enough to do so) before he snaps back into his caregiver/pest role and being the far older and more powerful of the two.

The Rats Don’t Run the City, the Heat Does
If you have been to any major city, I’m almost certain that you have run into what many like to call your average “city rat”. However, you might have mistaken them for something much larger, such as a squirrel or raccoon, as they tend to be exceptionally bigger than your typical non-urbanized rodent. Arianne Cohen, journalist for the Fast Company, put it best in her recent article entitled “Nothing to see here. Just city rats getting bigger and bigger”, when she explains that she wouldn’t be surprised if you ran into one of these rats and say, “jumped onto a car hood … or took a quarter-mile detour when a gargantuan rat emerged from a sidewalk garbage bag and sped fearlessly in your direction” (Cohen, 2021). These common encounters have distortedone’s perception of these urbanized rodents, yet they ultimately operate with the same purpose as humans, trying to find food, water, and shelter, and are often affected by the same issues that we face today, with one major problem being the process of the urban heat island effect.
If you haven’t heard of this process, it majorly deals with the increased temperatures that many heavily urbanized areas face through the effects of global warming and climate change. Chelsea Harvey journalist for the Scientific American, an award-winning authoritative scientific media outlet noted in her recent article titled “Urban Heat Islands Mean Warming Will Be Worse in Cities”, that “the ‘urban heat island’ effect, can raise temperatures in cities by several degrees compared with their surroundings, [creating] a risk to human health as growing urban populations exacerbates the heating effect of climate change” (Harvey, 2020). If you ask me, it seems like something must be done to combat this on-going issue, but I’ll let you guys be the judge of that.
Tumblr media
Over the past few centuries, highly populated and urbanized areas of the United States have been faced with increased temperatures as compared to non-urbanized areas, resulting in daytime temperatures that are, on average, 1-7℉ higher in major cities, especially in more humid regions of the U.S., like the East Coast (EPA, 2023). Through this process the term Urban Heat Island effect was coined during the late 19th century in hopes of bringing awareness to this process and starting to help combat it. However, with the rise of global warming and increased urbanization, many areas have had detrimental losses of vegetation and the implementation of more materials that make up sidewalks and pavements, which don’t absorb the heat but rather reflect it, creating elevated temperatures and leading to a more prevalent display of this process. Also, the loss of vegetation can create many more issues for rats, as it disrupts the ability to obtain natural sources of food, shading, and shelter.
So why worry about the rats you may ask? Well, taking a rat-infested city like Washington D.C. into account, the fourth most rat-infested city in America, according to an annual list of the Top 50 Rattiest Cities by the pest control company Orkin, one can only assume that this urban heating effect has drastic effects on the success and prevalence of these rodents (Orkin, 2022).  However, you may be wondering what’s the harm, other than human effects, in displacing such animals and ultimately reducing the overall population in major cities? See that’s the controversial part, it all depends on who you ask. Personally, I tend to agree with scholars like Chelsea Himsworth, director for the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative, University of British Columbia, who believes that feelings towards rats should not be seen as negative but instead, “we need to recognize that the city is an ecosystem and that rats live here too” (Himsworth, 2019). While others like Gerard Brown, a man who has lived in Washington D.C. all his life, says “rodents cause property damage, chew on electrical wires that can start fires and can spread disease, although that is extremely rare in cities” (Chason, 2017). The reason that I agree with Himsworth’s stance is because I believe all animals should have an equal opportunity to thrive in an environment. We as humans should respect animals as we demand the same respect in return.
No matter what stance you take on the rat issue, it still important to gain understanding of how urban heating island effect is creating issues for the size of these animals. To do this however, one must know about Bergmann’s Rule, a rather simple concept that explains that animals in colder climates tend to be bigger in size, while in warmer climates it said that animals tend to be smaller. In the case of highly urbanized areas like Washington D.C., I know this rule may be hard to believe, as the size of the rats seem quite large, yet overtime, this rule might prove to be true. With increased temperatures from climate change and global warming, along with the increased display of the urban heat island, temperatures will continue to rise in cities compared to other places and the effects that are outlined in Bergmann’s Rule will become more prevalent. Unless of course, the urban heat island effect, might be showing the opposite effect?
While very confusing to understand from the surface, the urban heat island effect is caused by loss of vegetation and creates further issues with sustaining the remaining vegetation left. This requires rats to search outside of their natural diet, forcing them to examine other parts of the city which includes a lot of trash that is considered very unhealthy for a regular rat’s diet. Many researchers have tried to study this and have hypothesized “that the mammals are growing bigger because cities provide something of a TV-dinner-on-the-couch lifestyle: easy access to calorie-dense food, less need to scavenge, and fewer predators…” (Cohen, 2021).
Tumblr media
This in turn, could severely impact the overall health of these rats and make them larger and more densely populated. In the scholarly article titled, “Urban heat island effect and rodent body condition”, researcher Brittany Allen investigates how the urban heat island effect is affecting rodents’ health and body conditions. Having captured 116 adult pocket mice and Merriam’s kangaroo rats around the Phoenix, Arizona area, Allen analyzed the bodily conditions of these rodents using accurate and noninvasive quantitative magnetic resonance. Allen looked at how the change in temperature from the urban heat island effect is creating differences in certain physical attributes such as storage of energy rich fat, survival, and reproduction when compared to areas that aren’t being affected by the urban heat island effect. The study found that the continuing negative ramifications were supported by the increased display of the urban heat island, and this in turn, could ultimately affect the survival of these rats especially in hotter seasons like Summer and Spring, reducing the overall sighting of rats in urban areas (Allen, 2021). Furthermore, increased temperatures can create issues for rats as it pertains to dehydration, which can result in a weakened immune system and a higher susceptibility to diseases. This not only creates health issues for rats, but pulls human into the equation, pushing for further need to help combat the effects of urban heat islands. Unless of course you just want a disease outbreak!
Behavior and Habitat changes is also something that has been put into question since the effects of urban heat islands has become more prevalent. City rats, specifically brown rats usually adapt to these urban environments wherever they can find an abundance of food. As a result of the urban heat island affect, there is a reduced availability for water in urban areas, which can force rats to seek out cooler areas, leading them to seek refuge underground in the sewers. This has led to numerous issues in major cities, and more specifically the Washington D.C. area. According to Beth Mole writer for the ars  TECHNICA, “in a report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, DC health officials rate out the first two known cases of hantavirus spillover in the city” (Mole, 2022). Cases like these represents some of the possible effects of rats going into the sewers, which is growing in number as rats are seeking cooler areas because of increased temperatures. Also, urban heat island effects are disrupting the nocturnal patterns of city rats, but elevated nighttime temperatures are leading to increased sightings during the daytime as rats believe that its nighttime in some areas, ultimately increasing possible human encounters. This could explain why you see them a lot more during both daytime and nighttime hours, or at least I do.
Through you might find city rats to be quite disgusting or maybe even cute, there’s a point where you must realize that a problem is present. With increasing temperatures and the developing effects of urban heat islands, city rats are at risk for becoming increasingly malnourished and displaced from their current habitat. This in turn, is opening the door to several issues most of which could negatively impact humans. From great susceptibility to catching diseases, to denser population of rats in more urbanized areas, the time is now to start to try and combat this ongoing process before it becomes too late to reverse its affects. Not only that, but hopefully from hearing about these issues you begin to question how this process is affecting humans beyond just feeling the elevated heat. So, the next time you see a city rat scurrying in the street remember that, while they may be scary, they ultimately have to same goal in mind, to thrive in an ecosystem that that is inherently just as much theirs as it is ours.
