Please please please explain to me how you draw Jane’s hair I can never understand how it works

hopefully this is self explanatory but there's more under the cut <click to see-more>

oki so you have chosen to click!! alrighty here we go

first thing is that i derived my designs for each of the six from the og west end cast because that's when i joined the fandom. so jane's hair is based off how nmp did her hair while in six

and like. i stole the fundamental structure from the left image (fringe that is pulled back into the half-bun goes along the sides, OVER the loose hair behind into bun) and the floof from the second (not so tightly pulled back)

#there is unfortunately no new art under the readmore but i hope it does help explain from the reference images #i'm not sure where the loose strands came from. but i just think they're neat :))#general rule is that when i draw the hair sweeping back at the sides i try? to aim them at where the bun would be #but as i said that's all rough estimation haha ;~;;#this ask really got me thinking about how i draw jane's hair. went into the archives and all to look at how i've changed it from the start #personally i have a weakness for floofy hair so it's been sent into the system #i just think it's pretty! that said how i draw the queens now is based off the simplified versions of the designs i came up with and #internalised like literal years ago so?? hehe #jane seymour #ask me stuff???
