You know, I think I'm starting to understand why the sharing culture on this site is such dogshit now.

As I mentioned earlier in the week, I spent several solid hours going through my art and writing tags as far back as 2012 and manually deleting everything I found, including all of my own reblogs, because I don't expect my opt out from having my blogs' data scraped to be honoured, and seeing the difference in the way people interacted with my work back then and the way they interact with it now (or the way they don't interact with it at all, more specifically) was deeply and tragically enlightening.

tl;dr, despite having had a fraction of the followers back then that I have now, as well as being an objectively better artist and writer than I used to be 10+ years ago, my work travelled further and people engaged with it more, and they also sent me asks with drabble prompts and questions about my OCs all the time, whereas none of that happens at all anymore. This place was a lot more communal back in that pre-2016 era and generally a lot more rewarding and fun.

There's been plenty of posts going around over the last few years begging people to reblog because that's how this site works, but every one of those posts always winds up lousy with people saying they just click "Like" on things because they like them but not enough to put them on their own blog, or because they don't want to clutter their blog, or because tagging things is too much effort or whatever, and I'm noticing a pattern. There's something that all of these common responses have in common:

All of these people are wholly concerned with themselves and the way their blog looks, or what their blog is supposed to be for, or some other similarly entirely self-centred point of focus.

Listen. Other people have already tried to explain to you that that's not what this place is about or what this place is for or that you can make as many sideblogs as you want if you're trying to curate something specific, and they've had little success in emparting understanding to you, so I'm going to try a different approach.

A/n; AHHHH Ive always wanted to do an alphabet like this. Sorry if I characterized him weirdly.

A - Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) ★

Akutagawa isn't very affectionate, but he'll absolutely hold hands or lock pinkies with you in public. At home he likes having his arm around your waist while he sits on the couch or in bed with you; touching you in some way reassures him that you are infact there with him.

B - Best Friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?) ★

The friendship would have to start in either childhood or the port mafia. Having Akutagawa as your best friend includes him looking out for you. It's not really weird, it just proves how caring he is deep down and how much he wants you to stay around him.

C - Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?) ★

He likes it. Depending on his mood he might even verbally initiate it. "I want to cuddle. Sit down and cuddle with me, please." He's rather blunt and he knows you'll oblige 99% of the time, so why not just go for it? When he cuddles, Akutagawa likes laying on top of you, head pressed against your chest while he listens to your heartbeat. Sometimes he'll be the big spoon, but he likes being the little spoon for the most part.

D - Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How good are they at cooking or cleaning?) ★

He's given domestic life a thought and he wouldn't mind it. It's just not something he's outwardly seeking at the moment. Should he fulfill his goals such as proving to Dazai that he's not weak; yeah, maybe, but it's not his top priority. When it comes to cooking and cleaning, he's actually not horrible. I think he can make some basic foods spaghetti or pancakes, but if you're trying to have a fillet mignon for dinner don't rely on him. He's pretty good at cleaning. He knows what chemicals to keep separated and which ones are okay to use together. He dislikes doing dishes though, even if you own a dishwasher he'll grimace while trying to hold bowls in certain ways that won't splash him with water.

E - Ending (If they had to break up with a partner, how would they do it?) ★

If it was a conclusion he came to on his own that he didn't want to be with you anymore, it would be blunt and in person. He'd probably distance himself for a while beforehand while coming to the conclusion because even he knows that it's not something that just happens over night. He would ask you to meet up with him and immediately say something along the lines of "I don't want this relationship any longer. Things between us are done."

F - Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How do they feel about getting married?) ★

He's not going to be in a relationship with someone unless he feels like they're 100% not leaving. He'll be committed to you for sure, though. When it comes to getting married, it probably hasn't crossed his mind. He's not against it, but like settling down it's not his top priority. He can love you just as much without the fancy title.

G - Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?) ★

Akutagawa is rather gentle but if he gets worked up he'll be pretty harsh and say stuff he really doesn't mean out of anger. But physically he's pretty gentle for the most part.

H - Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) ★

I think he likes hugs but it takes a while for him to actively seek them out. He doesn't hug you very often, but he doesn't push you away when you hug him. Hugging him is like hugging a thun memory foam pillow that you stuck in the fridge for a solid ten minutes. He's pretty stiff when you hug him, but the more often he hugs you it becomes more natural and flowy.

I - I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?) ★

Part of me thinks he would say it way to fast but the other part of me thinks he'd hold off for a really long time. I think he'd say it whenever he came to the realization that he loves you. He doesn't dwell on whether he says it too quickly, he just says it.

J - Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?) ★

He gets jealous pretty quickly. When he is he'll probably confront you about it, but he's quick to take your reassurance for the most part. It's really not about trust but more about wanting your attention wholly.

K - Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?) ★

Akutagawa kisses you passionately, sometimes roughly and others as gently as a feather falling to the ground. No kiss is meaningless to him. He likes to kiss your lips and in between your eyebrows. He likes to be kissed on his nose and lips.

L - Little Ones (How are they around children?) ★

Akutagawa isn't terrible with children, he knows how to take care of them. He's not going to willingly play with barbie dolls or matchbox cars though, the kid would have to convince him. He's rather awkward around them.

M - Morning (How are mornings spent with them?) ★

Mornings with Akutagawa probably consist of sleepy cuddling. I don't think he's much of a morning person and definetly prefers to stay in the comfort of you shared bed, under the blankets with him. But, he is the type of man that will share a morning routine with you- brushing your teeth together, skincare (I think if you asked him to do it with you, he would after light resisting), getting dressed, etc.

N - Night (How are nights spent with them?) ★

I think nights are relatively similar when it comes to routines. He would participate with you and when you both slip under the covers he'd probably sit and read for a while before actually settling down and sleeping.

O - Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?) ★

Akutagawa, to me atleast, is emotionally an open book. But when it comes to his past he would probably wait a while to reveal things slowly. His past is more vulnerable to him than his emotions he feels.

P - Patience (How easily angered are they) ★

It really depends. He'd have a little more patience when if comes to you, but he's relatively short tempered.

Q - Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?) ★

He remembers little details and he absolutely relies on them when it comes to gift giving and stuff like that. He remembers everything.

R - Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?) ★

The moment you accepted his confession. He loves it so much because it marks the start of everything. He loves celebrating anniversaries.

S - Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?) ★

He's pretty protective, he doesn't want to see you hurt, like any partner wouldn't. He protects you via keeping you away from Port Mafia affairs. Him being protected is tricky because I think it would make him feel kinda weak, but at the same time he might like it once every now and again.

T - Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks) ★

He puts effort into gifts like no other. He really wants to make sure it's something you love and then bashfully watch you open it. His idea of putting effort into dates is making a reservation for a nice restaurant, so in his eyes he puts heaping piles of effort in.

U - Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?) ★

He's unintentionally snappy sometimes or he comes off the wrong way. He's also always messing with the thermostat and he leaves laundry in the drier until he absolutely needs the clothes or someone else moves it.

V - Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?) ★

He's relatively concerned with them, he likes dressing a certain way and for his hair to be specific lengths, but he's not obsessed with them.

W - Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?) ★

No. He can get by on his own, he loves you very very much, but he understands that you're a luxury. He's attached to you but he knows you're not a necessity like water or food.

X - Xtra (A random headcannons for them.) ★

He moves around a lot in his sleep. He kicks and rolls and everything. Some days you might wake up looking like you tried settling beef with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Y - Yuck (What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?) ★

He doesn't like unreliable people or liars, if you say you'll do something for him, then he expects you to follow through. If you tell him something, it should be the truth. There's no reason for lying, especially in a relationship.

Z - Zzz (What's a sleep habit of theirs?) ★

He kicks a lot like I said, and he would prefer to sleep with one of those fuzzy, high quality animal print throw blankets than a comforter. He likes to sleep in warm rooms, not too hot not too cold.

A/n; I'm gonna be so fr I kinda struggled with this one. Akutagawa is interesting to write for but I'm not sure he's my favorite.

The Curse of the Fever

x male reader

Relationship: platonic

Characters: Crowley, Aziraphale, male reader

Prompt: "Person A takes care of a sick Person B" Person A: M/n Person B: Crowley and Aziraphale

Description: Crowley and Aziraphale get sick and ask M/n for help. M/n takes care of them.

Neither of them know what happened. Why were their nose stuffy, why did they feel hot, why were they too tired to stand up, why did their throats hurt?

It was a normal day in London except that Aziraphel had closed his library because him and Crowley were feeling weird. And by weird I mean horrible. Crowley was laying on the couch whining and complaining that he was hot and his throat hurt, and Aziraphel was on his chair, with a headache barely being able to speak on the phone. Barely being able to even grab the phone as he spoke into it.

"M/n, we need your help" he said in a very tiny voice almost whispering.

"Are you ok? You don't sound so good" replied M/n, concerned for the angel's well being.

"Could you please come to the library, is an emergency"

"Sure I'll be there right away"

In about 30 minutes M/n was already at the library and once he entered he was met with a whining Crowley and a scared Aziraphel.

"Oh thank heaven you're here, I think we have been cursed" he said in a very scared and alarmed yet low voice. "Ok, first calm down, explain to me what happened"

And explain he did, Aziraphale explained how this morning he had woken up with a soar throat and was so tired that he could barely get out of bed, and how hot he constantly was.

"Crowley, are you having the same symptoms?"

"Yeah" moaned Crowley in pain.

"You know what I think? I think Gabriel, or Beelzebub cursed us" Aziraphel stated to which Crowley nodded.

"Ok, Sherlock, lets not jump to conclusions, first of all" M/n exclaimed rolling his eyes "Secondly, you're not cursed."

"We're not?"

"No, you're not cursed, your sick. What you just described is a fever, there is nothing to be scared about, your not gonna die."

Aziraphale seemed much more relieved realizing that you knew what it was and that its nothing death threatening, but that feeling was replaced with confusion. "But, why are we sick? I mean, I know its normal for humans, but were not- Crowley please all this whining is making my headache worse!" He exclaimed at the demon who just took a pillow from the couch and stuffed his face in it while still whining and moaning.

"As I was saying, were not human, so how come we got sick?"

M/n thought for a moment. It was true, they weren't human and they have never gotten sick before, so why now? It was too hard of a question to answer in the moment so he just sighed ant told Aziraphale to not worry about it right now.

"What's important right now is that the both of you rest and get better, I'm going to go out and buy some medicine for you guys"

"Thank you so much M/n"

And just like that, M/n was stuck taking care of Aziraphale and Crowley. Never has M/n regretted something so much in his life. He has worked with babies more compliant than them. Aziraphale wasn't much of a problem, he ate his food, rested and even though it was clear he didn't like it, he took his medicine with no problem. Crowley on the other hand, was a nightmare to work with, especially while trying to make him take his medicine.

"Crowley you have to take it!!!!"

"NO!!!" the demon yelled while slapping the spoon of medicine out of your hands and on to the floor. "CROWLEY!!!!!" Fights like these kept going until you decide enough is enough.

"Crowley~~"M/n said in a sing song voice making him look up from his blanket. "I know that its been hard for you being sick so I got you your favorite order of coffee"

As soon as he said coffee, Crowley pushed the blanket to the side and made grabby hands. You handed him the cup of coffee and he took it taking a sip of it. It tasted horrible and he was about to spit it out if it wasn't for M/n jumping on top of him and keeping the cup to his mouth making him drink the entire thing. He had put the medicine in the coffee so that it was easier to trick Crowley into drinking it.

"There, that wasn't so hard was it?" Mocked M/n.

"I hate you"

By the end of the week, Aziraphale and Crowley were feeling a lot better. Aziraphale was working again and Crowley was, well, he was doing whatever it is that he does in the day.

"Thank you so much M/n, I don't know how I could ever repay you" Aziraphale said hugging M/n. "You don't have to repay me, but Crowley could pay for my dinner at the ritz to make up for all that nightmare he made me go through" he responded turning his head towards Crowley who just looked at him annoyed.

"You made me drink medicine coffee, I think we're even"

"No I don't think we are-ACHU!!"

The room went silent as the supernatural beings stared at M/n confused.

"ACHU!!!"

"Are you alright M/n?" asked Aziraphale concerned.

"I'm sure it's noth-ACHU!!" Aziraphale brought his hands to the sneezing man's face, retracting it immediately. "Your burning up, I think maybe you caught our fever. Not to worry though, we shall take care of you just as you took care of us" he said almost seeming excited.

"Oh that not necessary" M/n said before getting cut off by Crowley who was wearing a sly smirk on his face. "Nonsense, we insist"

M/n sneezed again, and realized that there is no way his getting out of this. His care was now on Aziraphale's unqualified and Crowley's vengeful hands.

"Oh, no"

(Time for our favorite dilf's Fluff ABC. The previous ABC's can be found here and here. Below the cut~)

A = Admiration - Ardent admires when someone is responsible.

B = Body - He's a fan of the entire body, though if you wanted to know which one he would focus on in the middle of the night, would have to ask the old man.

C = Cuddling - He cuddles Cupid when she allows it. When she doesn't he gets a nice scratch as a reminder. Now with a partner Ardent loves being the big spoon, but he will deny he enjoys cuddling.

D = Dates - He doesn't have that much time to date. When he used to he would always offer to cook for his date, Ardent loves to show off his skill in the kitchen, among other places.

E = Emotions - He likes to pretend to be this big tough guy, but one unanswered call to his niece and the man is sulking for the better part of the hour. Ardent doesn't hold back his thoughts while some may say he's an angry person, in reality he just stopped trying to please other people.

F = Family - Ardent is very close to his parent's, especially his mother. He takes care of the complex just for them, not wanting to accept the payment they send his way. He has a sister, who is the mother to his very loved niece. We also can't forget Cupid.

G = Gifts - He will deny he enjoys recieving gifts, but in actuality when someone thinks enough to give him something he truly cherishes it. For Ardent, he doesn't mind to give gifts. When he gives you homemade food, that's when you know he has a soft spot for you.

H = Holding Hands - He will cling to his partners hand like his life depends on it, not wanting to get seperated. Squeeze as hard as you want, he won't let go. Though if you point out you're holding his hand, he pretends it's as a favor to you, definitely not because he likes it.

I = Injury - Ardent is very calm in a crisis, be that an accident or his sister giving birth. He is focused on the end goal. So if someone is hurt, he will basically be like a mother hen. Ensuring they get an ample amount of rest and relaxation.

J = Jokes - The guy tries he really does, when peope laugh at his "jokes", it's usually when he's serious. His jokes tend to fall flat. Every once in awhile he has a good one.

K = Kisses - Ardent kisses with hunger, full of passion. As if the last of breath in his body belongs to his partner. He can be rough more often than not, but if you're lucky enough he might just surprise you with how tender he can be.

L = Love - He loves many people, Ardent doesn't see the point of hiding emotions. It's not something his parents did and it's not something he does either. He grew up in a home where the phrase I love you was always in use. Be that from his family or friends.

M = Memory - Ardent's favorite memory is seeing his niece for the first time, well that and adopting Cupid. Remembering how small she was when he took Cupid home is one of the highlights of his life. Knowing that he could in fact be so caring for her, even though sometimes Cupid just doesn't have time for that.

N = Nightmare (what is one of their fears?) - Not being able to be a safe space for someone he cares about. He might suffer with hearing other peoples emotions, but Ardent still wants to be trusted by them. To be that shoulder they can lean on.

O = Oddity (what is one quirk they have?) - Many people don't know he's actually greek. That is until he gets angry, then he can't help but curse in his native tongue.

P = Pet Names (what do they like to call you?)- Kitten.

Q = Quality Time (how do they like to spend time with you?) - Ardent would love just hanging out, be that at home or somewhere else. Though he hates when people pay him attention, when it's with you he will deal with it. He would love to just enjoy the night in each others company, with a good book and a nice glass of wine.

R = Rhythm (what song do they hum to themselves, when they think no one is listening.)- Torn to shreds by Deff Lepard.

S = Secrets (how open are they?) - Not very, though that will change over time. But get him in front of his mom, or niece and he is like an open book. The man is putty in their hands.

T = Time (how do they spend their time?) - He spends his time quite divided, be that taking his niece to after school activities, working on things at the complex, trying to get his mother's Manicotti recipe. Ardent can be seen going in and out many times of the day. The question is for who.

U = Upset (how do they act when they're upset?) - It depends on the level of upset. He could simmer in his anger, sulk, or just let it all out.

V = Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?) - His body, his cat, and his cooking. He will show it all off if given a chance. Ardent works hard to keep in good health, to love Cupid, and to be able to make a good meal.

W = Warrior (how do they feel about you fighting? Would they fight for you, beside you, etc?) - He doesn't like to admit he would fight for anyone. Instead he prefers to pretend to care less. (Such a lie). Ardent would fight for his partner, or for someone he sees is done wrong. He might be an ass, but he refuses to let people be treated as such.

X = X-Ray (how well are they able to read you?) - Ardent can read a shy person very well. Only time will tell how well he pushes MC's.

Y = Yes (how would they propose to you?) - Maybe something silly like having the ring on Cupid's collar for MC to see. Whose to say just yet.

Z = Zen (what makes them feel calm?) - Cupid laying on his chest, or rubbing his back. Just letting him feel his emotions and knowing someone is there for him can make him calm.

— i don't think chishiya is an extremely affectionate person but neither a cold one, especially when it comes to his partner. actually, i feel that he would like closeness and affection but behind closed doors. he definitely wouldn't tolerate it if you were in public, it would even make him feel uncomfortable. at best, he could discreetly intertwine his fingers with yours and gently caress your skin with his thumb. however, if you´re in a private place, then i feel that he would be much more affectionate. however, we all know that chishiya is touch-deprived, so everything related to the pda would be very new for him, although he would make an effort if it is about you. without a doubt, i feel that his love language would be gift giving. he would love to spoil you and buy the things you one day mentioned that you liked and surprise you with them. take you out to eat at your favorite restaurants, and give yourself meaningful gifts for no particular reason.

✧. - ̗̀ B. Best Friend , ❨ What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start? ❩

— literal definition of "power duo". you would definitely be one of the few people he trusts and is actually genuinely nice. he would tease you 24/7 (just his way to show you he actually cares). definitely you be the one he discusses his suspicions with during a game and tells of his plans to steal the cards. with his intelligence and your agility, you both would be an amazing duo at games. on the other hand, i feel like you and chishiya would meet before borderland and it would be in the hospital or in your medical classes, having to work together on a project or something.

✧. - ̗̀ C. Cuddles , ❨ Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle? ❩

— he won´t EVER admit it, but he scretely loves cuddling with you. especially after a complicated game or when something is bothering him is when he needs your comfort the most. however, obviously it will not be him who asks you, you will have to figure out what he wants and give it to him, otherwise he will not tell you. before he met you, all of that seemed a bit ridiculous to him, but after you dragged him into cuddling with you one day, HE MELTED IN YOUR ARMS. he secretly LIVES for being the little spoon (he would deny it to death), and the way your arms wrap protectively around his waist, instantly relaxing him with the closeness of your body and his. another of his favorite positions to cuddle with you is when he lies on your lap either to take a nap or maybe read a book, and you play with his hair. LOVES it when you play with his hair and gently comb the strands of hair, massaging him and making him fall asleep instantly.

— i feel like chishiya is a very independent person, and he learned to do all his things by himself from a very young age. in part, that's why he never really thought about moving in with you and dividing up the household chores (he was always used to do everything by himself), plus he would need to fully trust you to be able to share his space with you on a daily basis and learn to get used to not being alone all the time. however, i feel that he is very good at all of that. something tells me that he is a bit obsessive with order and tends to clean very frequently, especially because he concentrates more on a clean place. on the other hand, contrary to what is believed, something tells me that chishiya is a very good cook and is good at preparing both simple and complicated dishes. on the other hand, it would be very strict and would take turns doing the chores between you two.

✧. - ̗̀ E. Ending, ❨ If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it? ❩

— mostly his use of words would depend on the reason why you two are breaking up. if it was your fault, he'll have no problem being rude and using harsh words, spitting everyting he thinks to your face, not really caring about your feelings if it's you who hurt his. on the other hand, if you are the one who is breaking up with him, it would frustrate him at first. he wouldn't show any particular emotion to make you believe he wasn't affected by the situation, but in reality, something would break inside of him and just not know how to feel, collapsing silently once you're gone.

✧. - ̗̀ F. Fiancé, ❨ How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married? ❩

— actually, i feel like he would think about if often. if he´s on a relationship with you, he´s definitely not messing aroud, he will take it seriously. that is why he knows that getting married is taking a giant step in your relationship. while he wouldn't think about doing it early in your relationship, it would definitely be a constant thought going through his head and he would constantly weigh the pros and cons that might come with it. besides, thinking about what it would be like to spend a married life with you brings a blush to his cheeks and a feeling of warmth in his chest. he is not sure when or how, but what he is sure of is that he would love to have you in his life and place a ring on your finger one day. perhaps, in one of your conversations with him, he acidentally slips what he would like to do the day you two return and what his future would be like, always including you in those plans.

— he might not be really gentle with words, but i think he is very gentle with actions. sometimes, he gets a little carried away at giving his opinion about some stuff and probably would say some things you don´t really wanted to hear. anyway, i think he´s actually gentle when it comes to physic, and specially when it´s about you. but just half gentle, there are random times where he just enjoys engulfing you in a suffocating hug or gives you a particularly strong smooch on the lips.

— HE LOVES HUGS. he literally loves the feeling of comfort and closeness that you give him, hugging you all the time. he doesn't usually ask for them at all, sometimes you're doing any other activity and suddenly feel his body sticking to yours and his arms wrapped around your waist. and if he´s feeling particularly clingy he would just come up to you and open his arms so that you curl up in them and he can hide his head in the crook of your neck, enjoying the sensation of calm that your aroma produces. will definitely get pouty if you just decided to deny his hugs, and would probably just sulk to you until you given in and wrap his whole body (whis isn't really hard cause he's kinda small) between your arms, feeling him relax under your soft touch.

— it will probably take him a considerable amount of time to get the words out to you, taking his time to think about the right moment. cishiya would have to trust you a lot to even think about the possibility of telling you. but sometimes he just can't help but feel his love for you so intensely, watching you and thinking how much he wishes he could say out loud that he loves you and really appreciates you. as he was always a very reserved person and with difficulties expressing his feelings, he used to always keep them to himself, never being able to verbally show the people important to him that he really loves them. however, i feel that without realizing it and without thinking too much about it, the exact moment when you simply do something that makes him fall more in love than before, he would say it without further ado, enjoying your expression and simply smiling without being able to contain everything that you make him feel.

It would take a lot of trust for Steve to open up about himself. He's had a bad childhood and craves a family to be around but also has difficulty trusting just anyone with his past.

Very patient. He has to be since he's the designated babysitter for the Party. Honestly if he wasn't as patient as he is he'd probably be balding by now from all the stress he'd be under.
