i keep worrying that im flattening xigbar, smoothing his edges, by headcanoning/theorizing that he cared about roxas and xion to some extent—a view of him that not everybody shares—but 1. it doesnt come from nowhere, it's based in the text, and 2. it would absolutely reflect less poorly on him if he didn't care about them at all, rather than if he cared about them but let all that shit happen to them anyway despite having the power to stop it
