Alani: what do we do now?
Colten: well, we live.
Alani: but the house is so empty... I don't believe I'm going to miss their fights.
Alani: what if they forget about me? What if they don't come to see us?
Colten: They wouldn't do that.
Alani: was I a good mother?
Colten: Alani, I know you don't need affirmations from anyone: but you are the most incredible sim I've ever met, little orange. There's no way those two kids aren't completely in love and crazy about you. just like me. You were and are the mother they needed.
Colten: and if everything goes wrong, if those two crazy daughters forget about us, know that I would never, ever, my love, leave you alone. In any world, galaxy, reality, it will be you and me forever, orange.
Alani: I love you, Colten.

WIP WEDNESDAY
Tomorrow will be a sad day for me, as I will be posting the last chapter for Blind Faith. But my sorrow will be tempered with the knowledge that next Thursday I can start posting my new story. We're heading back to the canon verse with this one, folks, though we're going to deviate off course. Waaaay off course.
Here's a short preview to Beg, Borrow, or Steal - Part 3
He focused on landing Beau’s small cruiser on the pad behind the Grand Temple, then he motioned to Rey to start playing the message as he began shut down procedures. Rey nodded at him and pressed the de-scramble button. A few seconds later, General Leia Organa’s face appeared in a hologram in front of them.
“I’m going to assume that you’ve reached your destination by now,” the older woman said with a soft smile on her face. “I want to not only congratulate you on the success of your mission, but also inform you that Zandav Perolle and Reilgin Shonarr are now quite famous... I think it’s best you two stay where you are for a while, just until things settle down a bit. I’m sure any bounty hunters that take on the job of trying to find you two will be watched closely by First Order spies and we don’t need to slip up when there are that many eyes looking for us.” She tilted her head. “In the meantime, why don’t you consider this a vacation of sorts. You could both use the downtime.” Again, she smiled, and this time the look was sly. “I’ll let you both know when you can head back to base. Say ‘hello’ to Kes for me!” Her holo disappeared.
Poe stared at the space his General’s image had just been, stunned. He looked over at Rey, only to see her expression just as bewildered. She looked back at him, her brows furrowed. Then movement outside caught her attention.
“Who’s that?” Rey asked, her voice a bit breathy.
Poe glanced at her, then back at the younger man waiting for them. “That’s Darkurr Naughtstrum,” he told her.
“He’s…” Rey stopped, and Poe looked at her again, his face heating. He knew exactly what Rey was thinking. “He’s… very attractive,” Rey finally finished diplomatically.
“Yeah,” Poe sighed. “Welcome to Yavin IV.”

Presented in a 64-page hardback book, Sunnyside is a fictional story told through photographs and illustrations - an insight into the lives of sisters, Evelyn and Violet Appleby.
Set during the summer in late-80’s California, the relationship between the sisters becomes strained following the sudden loss of their parents. Shutting themselves off from the world, their feelings and behaviour intensifies. Evelyn endeavours to take care of her erratic younger sister, Violet, but the pair struggle to cope with their challenging situation. The sisters realise they need to put aside their differences to rebuild their relationship.
Juxtaposing warm and playful images with a darker undercurrent, Sunnyside is an exploration of human strength, affection and frailty.

Hello There!
It’s not my first time using Tumblr, but I’ve opened up many accounts before that ended up inactive that I had to close them. This time, I told myself it won’t happen and I will open up a new account and manage it well, despite my work-life.
I’ve also decided to rebrand my blog as previously it was just a random mix of drawings. Now, my artwork is currently focused on the art of coffee painting.
Before I started going on passionately about coffee-painting, I ought to introduce myself! I am Leaazpens, most commonly known as Azalea Azuar from Malaysia. I am actually a self-taught artist and I started drawing as early as four!
Life as an artist
I remembered when I was a kid that I enjoyed drawing monsters and robots, and as a girl I was constantly told that I shouldn’t draw monsters since I’m a girl. Well, that’s totally BULLSHIT to me! I believe that your gender should not dictate whatever subject you can draw.
I am also open and experimental when it comes to the realms of visual arts. I started of with just using pencil and pen but after I volunteered for a coffee painting booth for the NGO KL Sketch Nation, I fell in love with coffee painting.
There is just something about coffee painting that makes the piece seem very expressive.
I don’t have an art-style since I’m open to experimentation but my drawings are definitely manga or anime-inspired since that’s pretty much the only thing that I can do. I am also obsessed with details.
Of being a writer
When I am not painting or drawing, I work full-time as a journalist. In fact, I have a degree in broadcasting and journalism.
One might have wondered why I didn’t pursue an education in visual arts (or related). It’s strange, I did have intentions of becoming an artist when I was younger. But I seem to excel with my writing abilities since I won second place for a short story competition back in secondary school.
I also scored well in my English exams, especially the essay section when I have to write a story. During the exam it felt so effortless and English is the only subject which I enjoyed.
The truth is writing and drawing has a lot of similarities. I see them both as a form of art. When you draw you are holding the pencil, the same with writing. You might have thought writing is easy but it requires a certain skill to craft a sentence using the right words. Some words compliment each other, but some doesn’t.
For someone working in the media industry, I am a shy and timid soul. Sometimes I wondered whether I am in the right job. But when I interview fellow artists I felt that I’m able to connect to them.
For instance, the other day I interviewed Malaysian graffiti artist Perol and he was really awkward. Perol was just staring at me and he apologised if he was being weird and rude. Then, I told him it’s ok, I understand how you feel. I also have the same problem since I am very socially awkward. Perol felt appreciated that somebody understood him and I was glad.
As a feature writer, I cover an array of topics from food reviews and cosplay events. But my forte is in art. Let me tell you this, I’m not interested in covering the famous celebrities. I want to reach out for the voices that haven’t been heard. Perhaps that’s my contribution to the art community. An artist for another artist.
My love for Star Wars
I’m also a huge fan of Star Wars and I’ve got into it when I was nine. Being a 90s kid, I grew up with the prequels and only watched the original trilogy later. My first film was Star Wars Episode II: Attack of The Clones, but it didn’t get me into Star Wars.
What got me into the fandom was when my brothers played Star Wars: Battlefront on PlayStation 2. Then I saw Darth Vader for the first time and when I watched Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of The Sith I fell in love with Darth Vader (since it's the first time I saw him).
But then my all-time favorite character switched to the one and only Emperor Palpatine! The emergence of r/prequelmemes on Reddit made me love him even more. Not only is Palpatine such a great character but Ian McDiarmid did a fantastic job in bringing the sadistic monarch to life.
Palpatine is one of the only reason why I’m hyped to watch The Rise of Skywalker. The other is John Williams music. As much as I love the themes from the OT and PT, he did a great job with scoring the sequels which is “Rey’s Theme” and “March of The Resistance”.
I really enjoyed the music in The Rise of Skywalker and I would highlight my favourite pieces are “The Force is With You” because it has the best rendition to Rey’s and Palpatine’s themes, “Farewell” a sadder version of Kylo Ren’s theme and the simple yet beautiful “A New Home”.
It was also amazing to hear “The Imperial March” on IMAX again and it felt like I was right in front of the orchestra.
Upon the big reveal that Rey is the granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine, I’ve made a fan comic series called “Sheev & Rey” which is about the granddaughter-grandfather relationship between both of them.
That being said, I hope you would watch my blog with great interest as there will be great content in the long run.
Once again, May The Force Be With You!
Azalea

7 for the first half owu
An embarrassing memory or story? I actually mostly seem to repress that shit, it comes out seemingly at random but I can remember a few things where I felt stupid as fuck and always get a hot wash of shame whenever I think about them. When I was in 9th grade people in one of my classes would write on the desks, except we weren’t in the same period, we were all people who sat at the same desk in different periods so we’d write and draw to each other on the desk. and finally someone wrote something that I couldn’t quite make out. You see, the writing gets smudged over the day so when I got there it was kinda blurry but it said “I’m from perol, where are you from?” and I’m like... “California”. Now that seemed weird to me at first and it was shortly after I had left the class that I realized that they had not written “Perol” the had written “Per 01″ and I never wrote back to the people ever again lmao.

Literary travel: around the world in 10 must-read books
Ann Morgan invested a year reading a journal from every country in the world 196 in total. Here she picks 10 favourites that vividly elicited the regions they describe
In 2012, I started on an eccentric job. Having realised how anglocentric my learning was, I decided to try to read a novel, short story collection or memoir from every UN-recognised country, plus former UN member Taiwan( then 196 nations in all ), in a calendar year.
I set up a blog, ayearofreadingtheworld.com, and requested the worlds book lovers to help me. Pretty soon suggestions and even journals, manuscripts and unpublished translations were submerge in from around the planet.
My criteria for chosen by the entitles I speak varied and developed throughout the year. Sometimes I opted for national favourites. At other days I picked wildcards that intrigued me because they seemed at odds with national societies that had produced them, such as occupations by exiled scribes. And there used to be narratives that challenged my preconceptions in a huge number of ways.
Not all the books I read were set in the countries in question, but many were poignant of the regions they describe. Since then Ive continued to seek out notebooks that shipping me to a different situate. Here are 10 of my favourites TAGEND
Bhutan
The Circle of Karma by Kunzang Choden Following a young lady on her quest for enlightenment, this novel takes readers on a tour of the Buddhist gompas of the Himalayas in Bhutan and northern India, revealing marvels along the way. Hearing the religious areas through the eyes of a supporter is a powerful event, as are the descriptions of the majestic scenery and desperate living conditions the exponent meetings. It is also the first notebook by a female Bhutanese columnist to be published outside Bhutan.
Switzerland
Snow-covered mountains and autumnal wood reflected in the Lai Nair, Tarasp, Switzerland. Photograph: Alamy
Beauty on Earth by Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz The early-2 0th-century Swiss columnist Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz utilizes a visual artists sensibility to captivate life on the shores of a center European reservoir in this anecdote of a young Cuban immigrants appearance in a rural community. Small details are interpreted with fine brushwork: a ladder of sunshine tumbled from a fault in the sky, a leaf wrinkled up like a ducks hoof. The develop is a mesmeric paint, from which we can step back in the final sheets to acknowledge the full effect.
Angola
Our Musseque by Jose Luandino Vieira The shanty towns in Luanda, the capital city of Angola, in the 1940 s and 1950 s, emanated are vividly depicted in this idiosyncratic romance written more than 40 times after the author wrote it, in prison. Prostitutes, shopkeepers, children and drunkards vies and collide, generating conflicting accountings of their experiences as the civil crusade approaches, a conflict that will change their lives for good. Funny, offending and moving, it realise you nostalgic for a situate you have never been.
South Africa
The township of Soweto, Johannesburg. Photo: Ben Curtis/ AP
African Delights by Siphiwo Mahala Roving between South Africas townships and the countrys wealthier districts, this irreverent, bold and engrossing accumulation of interlinked legends captivates the intricacies, inconsistencies and frictions of the two countries in the late 20 th century. The sharp-worded compares in the gives spotlit the inequalities woven into the society, while the fun and acquiring audacity of many of the disadvantaged personas shape the inhumanity of the offends they have to live with all the more revealing. At occasions you feel as though you are sitting at their kitchen counters listening to their stories.
Myanmar
Smile as they Bend by Nu Nu Yi A spirit festival in a small Burmese hamlet is the backdrop to this absorbing tale, one of the few journals from Myanmar to have been translated into English. Nu Nu Yis sensual descriptions of the hustle and flurry of the affair to which beings from all moves of life slew to offer dancers to perform as a route of atoning for their misdeeds and attracting down blessings are a exultation to speak. The colourful specify is second only to the vitality of the central character, Daisy Bond, a foul-mouthed transgender heart dancer with a geniu for deception.
Pakistan
The Wandering Falcon by Jamil Ahmad Some descriptions can be as breathtaking as the landscapes they depict, and Pakistani author Jamil Ahmads certainly fits into that category. As the tale follows his nomadic booster, Tor Baz, the wild and treacherous hill country around the borders of Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan undoes in all its harsh grace. Speaking the book can feel like picking your direction over its mountain crags, or standing on the plateaux watching pursuers approach through the clouds of dust whipped up by the regions 120 -day winds.
Grenada
St Georges, the capital of Grenada. Photo: Nik Wheeler/ Alamy
The Maiden are Upstairs by Merle Collins Psychogeography has a significant role to play in this spirited collect of short floors, in which colonial history recurs the landscape of present-day Grenada. Eerie encounters on lonely streets and the pomp of the building of centuries past integrate to present a richer and more engrossing picture of the Island of Spice than tourist pamphlets was possible to do. Through it all runs a strong gumption of community, excitement and humanity.
Equatorial Guinea
By Night the Mountain Burns by Juan Tomas Avila Laurel, restated from the Spanish by Jethro Soutar The tiny isle of Annobon, the provinces and territories of Equatorial Guinea, abounds from the sheet in this glorious romance. Parcelled with details about island life: from how you make a canoe out of a tree trunk and the realisms of cutting times off palm trees, to the ballads and beliefs that bind the society together. The work illusion with interest, while its narrative is based on countries of the region oral traditions. As a answer it melds the familiar with the strange to draw us into the landscape and community of small island developing. This is only the second novel from Equatorial Guinea to be translated into English, so it is a rare and precious window on a little-known part of the globe.
Wales
Martha Jack and Shanco by Caryl Lewis The west Wales landscape is a key player in this haunting novel about three ageing siblings who have spent their lives on their parents farm. Lewis writes in this way that the stern cold and comfortlessness of the place seem to seep out of the sheets to regard you in their grip, even as twinkles of natural attractivenes abound from the textbook. It is a stark remember that you dont have to travel far away from home to know yourself in a different world-wide.
Peru
Perol reservoir in Perus Cajamarca region. Photograph: Enrique Castro-Mendivil/ Reuters
Death in the Andes by Mario Vargas Llosa Peruvian Nobel prize-winner Mario Vargas Llosas chilling tale is of carnage, terrorism and vengeful flavours in the mountains. At formerly peril and beautiful, his landscape is as erratic as the bands of vetoes that prowl through it, harassing the resource of Corporal Lituma and his junior officer, who the hell is charged with an offence probing disappearings in the mining parish around their berth. Unsettling and memorable.
Beside Myself by Ann Morgan is published by Bloomsbury Circus( PS12. 99) on 14 January 2016. To guild a simulate for PS10. 39, including UK p& p, see the Guardian Bookshop

Classroom Afterthoughts EXTRA:DR.Stevelove or How I learned to love Concept art.
During the class where we saw a Game Designing presentation we were asked, nay, DEMANDED to work on concept art for a character whose concepts were pre determined by our collective assistance.
Without further ado, I’d like to present. Green Days, a game about the revolution of plants.
This is Steve Mint, the Future Ruler of Cornucopia, a nation of plant beings located somwhere in the outskirts of Oregon, him and his people, Including his parents, the King Tomilho and Queen Maple lived simple yet serene lives even if Ignorant of the outside world, Steve always wondered what lied behind the thick foliage of his Land during his lessons in basic Aeromancy, until one day.
Steve is picked from his bedroom in midday by a local farmer, when he awoke Steve witnessed the horrors done to plants like himself, upon watching his parents breathe their last Steve Decides to gather the citizens of Cornucopia e flee his homeland with a heavy heart in a Land Ship known as the StrawDuster
Steve the gender neutral plant person wishes for a bloody Revolution, he knows his citizens although capable to defend themselves were not preparred to face an enemy of this stature and inteligence, they needed to prepare for war on the human race, they would hunt down the animals that feast on plants such as themselves, gather, become stronger and Lead the Future of Cornucopia to a better tomorrow for plant kind.
What steve initially does not realize is that his motives are no more righteous than the humans motives, they are both fighting for survival in this Dog eat Dog world, but Steve’s Resolve is Unbreakable, he takes the StrawDuster across the land Slaying more and more in order to claim his revenge.
I apologize if it’s a hard concept to see from the description alone but this game is in fact conceptualized to poke fun of games that take themselves too seriously as well as to provide a funny and charming, if slightly dark setting.
The game would work like a sort of 2D Monster Hunter like Boss Rush Game filled with exploration involving varied and Interesting Wildlife that feels alive on their own instead of being simple boss material, You’d start small, fighting Insects and Mice alike, until coming across a big enemy like an Owl, the enemies you encounter get progressively harder to beat but all control will be in the player’s hands at all times, the more monsters you beat the more you can find as you unlock the ability to gain new weapons and equipment in order to take down bigger threats as you build your way to your Revenge. For Weapons you’ve got your usuals, Axe, Sharpshooter, Sword, Lance and shield, LongSword and so on, but along these and others there could be mechanics centered around using magic to trap, slow your enemy, Expose their weaknesses or even Summon Mounts that can assist you in a tough fight like against a Goat or an Elk.
All Weapons delivered and foraged by Rogério Uva & A gangue do Cabo Grosso, a local crime boss Steve has set on perole For his Services to aid him in the Revolution, you deliver him Materials you harvest and gather from monsters or the environment and he makes you new Weapons you can use to fight new Monsters.
All Armor and Clothes handcrafted by Madame Vetruvia Van Mandorla the Royal Stylist, she provides Steve with Stronger equipment and relics, respectivelly made to boost Health capacity and Magic prowess, A lot of ingredients can be found by searching through the environment but most of it is obtained from the Enemies you defeat, different types of enemies and harvest sources yield different kinds of crafting oportunities, for example if you defeat a Fish you can harvest it’s Scales for more movement heavy armor, It’s Fins for a Fast swinging Hatchet or it’s eye for a nifty Magic Relic that increases Movement slowing magic’s capabilites. Or if you defeat an Owl or a Fisher Bird, you can harvest it’s beak for a Tough Helmet, it’s Feathers for a cape that boosts Agility and Dodge I frames or it’s talons for A very hard hitting Blade, but it’d be harder to get. As long as you know what you’re going after you’ll be fine.
The three listed up there are other Residents of Cornucopia, Plants don’t need to eat food but that doesn’t mean they can’t be picky, meet the Royal Chef, Ki Oui, A talented Cook, shy but with a heart of gold... he doesn’t say much other than the ocasional “Oui” for reasons Unknown to the Cornucopians, little do they know he is in fact a bird, He prepares Status buffers and Consumables for you, things such as the usual Health restorers and stat boosters and Weapons sharpeners, but also cloth polishers for increasing the effects of your Equipment’s boosts and Magic Spells for all purposes ( don’t ask how he has that knowledge).
The other two in the picture are the local philosophers, the Berry Sisters, Razz and Bleu, they usually hang around and discuss life and it’s intricacies, complications and Marvels, as you can probably tell by their expressions, Razz is the Upbeat and Boisterous one while Bleu is the more Composed and Cynical one, they have no Gameplay functionality, they just serve as little world builders for the game.
This is the Captain of the Royal Guard, Ever so close to Retirement, General Emmerich Pomme, he acts as the mission briefer for most of the begining of the game, why is that? Don’t ask. He recieves word of mouth of people needing Assistance and Monsters needing killing and you get to hear and profit from all of it, he’d do it himself but he needs to protect the Straw Duster from enemy forces, and so he does, what a hero.
And last but not Least we have the Navigator of the Royal Family, as recently hired as pretty much the beginning of the game, Captain Ekaterina Kirsche. The Straw Duster is in fact her ship and the Royal family was allowed to borrow it under the condition that they help her to some riches (People pay things in Quartzite in this game, yes, Rocks, don’t worry about it), she has conversations in between Voyages of her younger days travelling the world with her sister Sarah, she wishes she could find her and share those good moments again.
In any case, the game would be open to Online and Local multiplayer, the more people you have the tougher the hunt though, so stay sharp and use all your tactics available to you. Watch out for those hidden Mega Bosses.
In any case, this wraps up my presentation on Green Days, the story of Steve, I hope those who have seen it could find some enjoyment out of it and please do not hesitate in pointing out any touch ups I could be brought to make in the futere, art wise or otherwise. Anyway, Have a nice day and BEWARE YOUR GREENS.
