just imagining percy at like barnes n noble or smth and trying to find some books as a gift for annabeth and squinting at the backs to try and read the descriptions and a worker coming over to help him and him sheepishly admitting what he’s doing and asking the worker what they’d recommend/what their favorite book is and the worker just smiling and leading him through the store
