World of Warcraft has two canonically trans characters now, and neither of them are evil or terrible people. Heck, one of them is a pretty important and well-liked character.

The game still has plenty of problems, but it’s a step in the right direction.

#pelagos and chromie are their names if anyone's curious #pelagos is a minor character for sure #and you don't learn that he's trans unless you make some very specific choices in-game and then talk to him about his past #and as far as I know the only direct mention of chromie being trans is a novel with a story about her #nothing in-game #but still it's progress #and chromie is a central character to the gameplay #she's the one you talk to when deciding which timeline to level up in #in addition to being a big part of the plot at several points #apologies for the tags essay
