It's done, people.
"I saw you come to this world, pesky knight. I RAISED you. I am your true father, unlike that 'Aeon' weakling.
You belong to me, Meta Knight."
A traumatized borb with daddy issues </3
[you might notice his heart skipping a beat or two if you pay close attention to the audio.]
On another note, here are some cut out sketches under cut (see what I did there??)

Love (cannot emphasis how much sarcasm there is in that word) that an official Canadian government response to high cellphone rates is to switch carriers.
Switch it to what? We basically have three companies since one was allowed to eat the forth (with the government saying it wasn't anti-competition and the company eating the other pinky promising they wouldn't jack rates up). Even the smaller companies have to rent infrastructure from the Big Three so there's only so much they can do if that rent costs an arm and a leg.
And that's not touching on how many "small companies" are actually just subsidiaries of the Big Three. You may save $5 but you're still with Telus/Rogers/Bell.
Or that the actual small companies tend to have shit coverage because they don't have the infrastructure available to them and are prevented from getting it. Or their traffic is throttled in favour of the Big Three's customers. Or both.
Or that they're extremely regional thus aren't an option for a huge chunk of Canada's population.
We have no true options and the government has shown time and again that they're fine with monopolies, in multiple industries, and don't care when said monopolies jack up prices to make shareholders and the c-suite more money at the expense of everyone else. At most there will be a verbal slap on the wrist and a giftcard for $25 that people have to register for, for a decade and a half of price gouging.
It's not talked a whole lot about outside the country from what I've seen and heard but Canada is a country of monopolies. A handful of companies own nearly everything, every province has a family or two that owns a hell of a lot (Nova Scotia is basically owned by one family at this point), and our government ignores it. Even the branch that is supposed to be against monopolies is fine with mergers and takeovers in most cases.
Because, you know, the company said it totally wouldn't use consumers' lack of options to increase prices.
#canada#so much of our infrastructure and critical construction such as housing#has been pawned off for decades to private companies#and i forgot to mention one (1) family owns the bridge that is a major international corridor between canada and the us#which is apparently fine even though they fought tooth and nail to stop a bridge they don't own from being built#like our housing crisis can be traced back to the government deciding to stop building public housing in the 90s#because they figured private developers would pick up the slack#affordable apartments don't bring in much money so we got decades of cheap-ass 'luxury condos' instead#and once airbnb became a thing we got entire buildings with units <300sqft#and of course when the party in charge rotates between conservatives and neolibs nothing changes and that can gets kicked down the road#and keeps getting kicked until something collapses and they see the chance to fully privatize an industry#something similar is happening to our healthcare system too#it has been left to languish for years/decades with funding freezes and cuts#and private companies are quick to jump in and get the government stamp of approval to do [thing] that the public system clearly can't do#when [thing] would absolutely be possible if it was actually funded and/or staffed#so many communities were cut off when greyhound closed up shop because there's no government inter-city transportation#we lost internet/banking/cell service/etc nation-wide because one of the big three decided to push an update to live without redundancies#and it bugged and took the entire company's network down#even the government agency that demands major companies have a backup on a different network was taken down because they ignored that#and they got a deal if they kept their backup with rogers while their main network was also rogers#so they couldn't even make an emergency statement or anything about it#half my province also lost all digital infrastructure because it's a private company and making a redundancy line would mean smaller bonuse#it's just so bad#joke all you want about how canada is nice and friendly#but you are wrong and it's hell if you actually live here#the only reason canada is seen as nice is because it's hard to not seem like the better option when the us is your neighbour#and because of decades of pr work to make canada seem friendly and nice and not at all problematic#in some countries you actually have to try to hide you're canadian because of how much we colonize and the damage we do to other countries#yes these tags have derailed from the post but ugh#i take major issue with people who insist canada is nice and has never done anything wrong

the horror of those mice being turned to people is so goddamn genius because it’s not just the existential horror of being turned into something you’re not. brennan hammers it home that the really fucked up part of it is that the Fairy Godmother made them want to be servants. she made them think that their purpose in life, at least for a few hours, was to serve! and she made them like it! something so deeply horrifying about someone getting in your mind and making you desire to be subordinate.

When I worked at the pawn shop there was this lady who'd come in periodically who just Did Not Trust Me for no particular reason. I didn't take this personally because she was like this with everyone but a small selection of the managers. One time she went out of her way to tell my manager that she thought I was "up to something" on account of I "smile[d] too much".
Then one day, for reasons unknown, she decided I'd apparently been working there long enough that she should ask for my name. When I told her, she said, "Well, I wouldn't'a been so mean to you if I knew you had such a pretty name!" and then spent the rest of her time in the store that day paying me compliments. She asked if my hair was naturally curly and, when I answered in the affirmative, she had me turn around and show her the back of my head. Later when she went to leave, she came back in because she'd spotted my mother outside (my car was in the shop and she was waiting for me to get off work so she could take me to pick it up) and asked me, "Is that your mother out there? Why, you look just alike!"
Anyway, there's no moral to this story, I just think about her sometimes. What an odd person. I wonder if she's still out there, pawning huge bins of DVDs of unknown provenance and asking the clerks if they believe in God.

Astarion: Finally, we're catching up on our puppet master. And the hunt ends at Moonrise Towers.
screaming crying throwing up over this line with durge and romanced astarion on my duo run. they both start as puppets, then are free enough of their former masters to make their own choices, then they both have a choice: chain themself to their master or be free.
with durge that's either resist or become bhaal's chosen. If they resist, they're marking to certain death. To be free of Bhaal is to die, and I think they're acutely aware of that. To become his Chosen is to extend the amount of time they live, but they know it won't truly be living, if they live their life in service to another.
with astarion it's to break the cycle of abuse and be more than what nearly 200 years of empathy-breaking hell - Sisyphus pushing up the boulder but make it seducing people, eating rats and insects, night after night, knowing everyone you touch is doomed to die - made him OR unchain himself to everything Cazador did by killing Cazador without ascending, allowing him the safety of his abuser being gone so he can finally start feeling and healing without the ever-present threat of becoming a slave to Cazador again.
Their romanced "bad" endings all require someone to become the other's puppet. If Durge becomes Bhaal's Chosen, they force Astarion back into servitude and make him no more than a puppet after taking over the Absolute to start slaughtering the world in Bhaal's name. If Astarion Ascends, Durge either agrees to the loss of their independence and personhood by becoming a spawn OR the relationship falls apart.
I don't have anything else to say I'm just screaming about this lmao

Have a lot of asks and takes so just gonna dump them all here:-
opinion on chase and dexter.
you know i really want carlotta to meet the faculty and coach brunt and gray.
carlotta is gonna get such a biased version of gray that it cackles me up.
I can just imagine carmen telling her about gray and her response is "so you inherited my taste in bad boys".
you know, i understand why people think that if el topo killed someone he'll feel really guilty nut like he's the one to remind crackle that no witnesses should be left behind he's a cinnamon roll who can kill you.
rn i'm giggling at the idea of someone catching carmen and grey making out.
Commander is adorable.
1)i like them! Chase i maintain has the best line about the trufffles in his brain in s2. vivid imagery. poetic. and he gets such a solid and clear arc so congrats dude!! i really also like in s1 where he doesn't really buy that mimebomb is important but does have a tactic to keep tabs on him . tenacious, resiliant, and really intelligent sometimes. a lot of fun to watch and occasionally hear the out of pocket things he can say, he starts out abrasive but seeing him soften up and do what he can do best is fun and rewarding
dexter we don't get much but he was literally so!!! for getting only barely caught on cameras dating carms mom (which he refused to stop doing heck yeah <3) and doing his best to long con his way OUT of VILE for all of their sakes. and as a VILE agent? he was so smooth like steal those jewels, fly away, get paid for minimal teaching...ajsdnfasdkfn cool. RIPERONIS you were pretty cool
i really hope that carmen gets told by her mom that she has her dads eyes it was such an awwww moment when she said it. :( + just ugh can you imagine the conversations if she gets even more hints of similar things between them...ughhhhh carmen would really hold that dear...
2) hmmmmmmm like i really am into maybe her mom wanting to occasionally help carmen and that could happen VIA that (faculty and brunt) as for GRAY...
3) asdkjfnaslkfdjasd ok carmen gives literally all of gray's good points in such heart eyes and happy voice that the context of how carmen knows this just like makes her go "WAIT WAT" but lmao the idea of them falling for bad boys who are actually so soft and will do whatever it takes and actually turn over a new leaf <3 [i do think she might be a little harsher in her opinion on gray at first because thats her baby >:( waddyumeanyou! but like
:(it was everything...it was literally everything he held dear for carmen to exist and ugghhhhhhhhh i can't with them.
and like a changed person who her daughter has so much love for and obviously loved her enough to do that?? plus her mom runs an orphanage like i want to see him try to wiggle his way in the middle of respectful and being called out for old habits he can't shake yet and not being used to her brand of warmth. or her just asking him to keep watch the kids so she and carmen can have a day together mijo :((((((
and him being decent at corralling all those kids...not great he almost lost a couple but decent (he is good at charming distractions but gets snippy at the troublemakers if any...he's the only troublemaker allowed there<3) + always my evidences that he was the one who split up carmen and sheenas fights, the boys looked at him when they needed help at the tunnel, lmao he actually did have a decent distraction of codenames at the ready, and he's a head patter with a chill laid back disposition he projects...he can distract them with candyland for an hour...i think he can catch their attention like lmao he has such de facto group leader energy even if its not what he primarily does/the role he always wants...can he hold it tho...
or even a seriousish conversation after with gray realizing that was her trusting him lol + just long way round is still the way around conversation
5)...is that a thing? i mean el topo initially felt really bad about carmen because they were friends and might* have felt bad for shadowsan because he was his teacher but le chevre just tells him to focus on the bad parts of his class to get over it. old man in the desert who he has no attachment to? crackle remember to kill him + next time le chevre/ el topo both get over any lingering attachments and el topo even captures carmen with a smile and an ho-la. cinnamon roll who can kill.
6)I NEED THAT SO BAD ! NEED THEM TO BE INSEPARABLE AND INSUFFERABLE AND GET CAUGHT BEING ABSOLUTELY INTO EACH OTHER AND ABSOLUTELY SO HAPPY. askjdfnaskfjna and absolutely with only half an idea of what to do when caught
7) COMMANDER ...is cute <3

WHICH OUT OF THE 5 NEW LOVE LANGUAGES ARE YOU?
ORANGES. Love to you is sitting next to your person, so you take out a mandarin, and as you peel it you give them every other piece. NO ONE SAYS A THING, but you both know what’s bubbling beneath it all. You wanna protect your love, and you know that somewhere deep within you, like it’s branded on your bones. You wanna be a SAFE HOUSE in the middle of a war. You wanna be a lit up home at the end of day, signaling to come this way. You devote yourself to everything you care for, you don’t know how else to want. You give your hand as an offering, you give yourself as penance. Well, it's all very: I LOVE YOU. I WANT US BOTH TO EAT WELL.

The league being tight is not enough to make it great/the best, especially when the distribution of talent is determined by (largely abusive) organisations, and not the players themselves. A great league means that, GIVEN THE CHOICE, good players would want to play right throughout the league because they all have attractive opportunities for development, good pay and living conditions, and the requisite facilities and staff. Players’ bodies should not be traded and sold by corporations just so they can manufacture the competitiveness you brag about, without considering anything else.
I get why that might not stick out to some anons and players because it’s so engrained in American culture, but many activists will tell you that the practice mimics another (not good, very bad, horrible, evil) system that remains engrained in American culture.
The WSL remains some distance away from that standard right now. So, you can rest easy and actually focus on the rights of these players you claim to love.
Thank you anon! I alluded to it but i knew i would be executed if i pointed this out myself (again).
This is what i meant when i said basic rights need to be there for all and not just the experienced or the famous. The fact that the NWSL still does a cattle auction every year in which 18-22 year olds are sold to the highest bidder is INSANE. Not to mention the trades every player who isn't a free agent is constantly aware of could happen at any moment.
A league who can tell a 23 year old that they need to report to a team 3000 miles away in 2 days and leave everyone and everything they love behind can NEVER be the best league in the world no matter how great everything else is.

How Car Title Loans Work: A Simple Guide for Beginners | Allmantitleloans
Car title loans are a popular option for people needing quick cash, especially in areas like Houston, Texas. These loans use your car’s title as collateral, allowing you to borrow against the value of your vehicle. Let’s break down how the process works and what you should know before applying.
Tumblr media
Basics of Car Title Loans
A car title loan is a secured loan where the borrower uses their car’s title as collateral. Lenders assess the value of your vehicle to determine the loan amount, which can be a percentage of the car’s worth. You can still drive the car during the loan term, but the lender holds onto the title until the loan is repaid.
Understanding the Car Title Loan Process
Here’s a step-by-step guide to how car title loans work:
Application: You can apply online or in person. If you're in Texas, you can easily get a title loan quote online.
Document Submission: Provide necessary documents like your car title, proof of income, ID, and possibly proof of residency.
Vehicle Assessment: The lender will assess the car’s value. If the car has a salvage or rebuilt title, some lenders might still approve the loan, though it may affect the loan amount.
Approval: Once approved, the lender will offer a loan based on the car’s value. Fast online title loans in Houston can often provide same-day approval, even for bad credit borrowers.
Loan Terms: Understand the loan’s interest rate and repayment terms. Be cautious of high interest rates, especially if you have bad credit.
Loan Repayment: Repay the loan based on the agreed schedule. After the loan is fully repaid, the lender returns your car’s title.
What You Need to Know Before Getting a Car Title Loan
Interest Rates: Car title loans tend to have higher interest rates than traditional loans. Be sure to check the terms carefully.
Credit Check: Some lenders may offer no credit check options, but this often comes with higher rates.
Risk of Losing Your Car: If you’re unable to repay the loan, the lender has the right to repossess your car.
Pros and Cons of Car Title Loans
Pros:
Quick Access to Cash: Title loans provide fast cash, sometimes on the same day.
No Credit Check: For those with bad credit in Houston, these loans can be a viable option.
Keep Driving Your Car: You can still use your car during the loan term.
Cons:
High Interest Rates: These loans can be expensive, with high interest rates and fees.
Risk of Repossession: Failing to repay the loan means the lender can repossess your vehicle.
How to Get Approved for a Car Title Loan
Even if you have bad credit or a rebuilt title, you can still get approved for a car title loan. Lenders in Texas, including Houston, often cater to borrowers with bad credit. Make sure to have all necessary documents, including the car’s title and proof of income, ready for a smoother approval process.
Conclusion
Car title loans are a fast and convenient way to borrow money, especially for those with bad credit in Houston, Texas. However, it's crucial to understand the loan process, terms, and risks involved. Always compare options and review the loan terms carefully before committing to ensure you make the best financial decision.
