A little? Maybe you are referring to the bickering during the fight with Geki but Nagisa telling you aren't friends because she was mortified due to you basically exposing her crush to her crush is not little.

Matching is what you were worried about but this isn't a matching problem, this is a saying things you shouldn't problem.

This is confusing. Didn't Honoka get into this because she did what she felt was right this whole episode? With Fujipi, with handing over Mipple and by avoiding Nagisa? She did what she felt was right when she went to save her too. Like Nagisa said, she's not always right. She felt it was right giving up being Cure White and avoiding Nagisa because she thought she didn't want to deal with her. Without sufficient information "the right thing" will feel way different than if you knew all the facts.

True. She shouldn't act like she doesn't want to be close to Nagisa (I'm thinking when Nagisa approached her and Honoka gave her a bunch of excuses). Giving up Mipple isn't very "her" at all, either.

1. What is your all time Favorite twist? I love the Ika shredding letters one and also the Loveita/Kelsey room from BBCAN (even though Kelsey came back instead of Godveita)

2. What is a twist that you like, but kind of flopped? The saboteur twist i thought was really interesting but it just didn’t pan out since miss Annie was evicted first

3. If you were the new Grodner and had to remake the show, what would you keep the same? Nothing LOL except like the general skeleton of the game probs (like HOH and vetos would still exist) 

4. What would you change? Casting is probably the main one, less archetypes, more BIPOC, more LGBTs, etc. Make the show last less days also.

5. What’s your all time favorite comp? Don’t clock me but I love the knockout quiz comps like i love the whole procedure and when it pans out correctly, it leads to so much drama (see BB12)

6. What’s your all time favorite competition? In terms of a specific competition, I like the majority rules comp that Jen won 

7. All time favorite punishment? Paulie’s baking punishment will never not make me LOL. Michelle’s unitard is also a classic and watching her flip out with it on was funny as well

8. If you could bring any houseguest back to be in the house (not to play the game) who would it be and why? I’m going to go with Britney or Da’vonne, they’re both really fun personalities

note: This is the epilogue of a (rather disjointed) series of ‘missing’ scenes from the books. While the parts can stand alone, I’ve thrown in some callbacks.

She finds Lief in the chapel, sitting amongst the shattered marble. The metal bar from the entrance hall is lying at his feet, and he is leaning against the broken husk of the platform. Three days ago Jasmine nearly died here, choking on her own screams. Lief nearly died here too, saving her.

Now the memory of that chaos and horror barely seems real. Even with the evidence of destruction all around them, it is almost peaceful in this room. Jasmine can barely hear the dull chatter of the crowd outside- the loved ones, still in funeral black, who have formed a line which streams down the palace stairs. Marilen is recording the names and stories of those who have died, while Sharn embraces people collapsing under the weight of their grief. The names of Paff’s victims, of their friends and family, will not be forgotten to history- the people believe it because the king has promised them.  

Jasmine tries not to think of the look on Lief’s face when he saw the crowd. He had stayed for only a few moments, talking to a trembling woman holding a baby, come to register Paulie, husband of Iris. Then he had fled.

Jasmine knew she would find him here.

“Lief,” He is hunched over a book, gnawing anxiously at his chapped lip. At the sound of her voice, his head darts up. He reminds her, not for the first time, of a startled animal, wide-eyed and vulnerable.  

“Jasmine,” He is in desperate need of a razor and a brush. Dark circles have formed around his eyes, as dark as the bruises which mottle his arms. The white powder still floating in the air has settled lightly on his hair and clothes. Kree is standing nearby, watching him carefully, his black feathers coated in the same dust. He calls softly in greeting.

I stayed with him, little one. Like you asked. Not good. Not well.

She knows. As she approaches he reaches out and motions to her side, a question in his eyes. “It feels much better,” Jasmine whispers, smiling.

She is telling the truth, but Lief looks as though he does not believe her. His eyebrows knot, and he glances back at his book. Reeah’s teeth gnash at him, as real and sharp as when they pierced through his body.

Jasmine does not bother asking Lief why he is reading The Deltora Book of Monsters again, staring at each page like it is a test of endurance. When Marilen had seen him reading it yesterday she had tried to take it away. Lief had only gripped it more tightly, his knuckles and face white. His only explanation: “I promised Josef,”

Jasmine lowers herself down to sit beside him, letting her bare arm brush lightly against the material of his shirt. It is as much contact as she dares. Since Josef’s funeral Lief has refused to touch anyone, or let anyone touch him. Jasmine tries not to be hurt by this. He just needs time, she tells herself. A little more time.

(But still, she wants so desperately to hold him. Instead, she holds onto the memory of the last time she felt his skin on her own- squashed together on the bed in which he had woken on his sixteenth birthday. Her arms around him, her lips are soft on his temple, his head nestled into her shoulder as he shook and sobbed, “we are alive, Jasmine… we are alive…”)

“Where is Barda?” Lief asks anxiously. The last he saw Barda the big man had been loading food cleared of contamination into Steven’s caravan. That had been several hours ago.

“He is testing food in the kitchens with Doom and Gla-Thon,” Jasmine reassures him. The first day after their return he had not let Jasmine or Barda out of his sight. Even now, three days later, he is nervous. Maybe they are not really safe. Maybe this is a trap, and they could still be taken from him. Maybe-

“Maybe we should join them?” Jasmine asks. “It is almost dinner time. And surely you are hungry,” She keeps her voice upbeat, trying not to let her worry be known. Lief needs to eat. He has barely touched his food in two days.

“No thank you,” Lief murmurs. 

Filli chatters on Jasmine’s shoulder in protest, but she is patient. “Why not, Lief?” she whispers. “I think you should,”

She thinks he should do so many things. Let the doctors put fresh bandages on his wounds. Wash the dirt and blood of the pit from underneath his fingernails. Eat. Sleep. Smile. Forgive himself.

But Lief does not respond. He flicks to another page of the book, and Thaegan’s children grin at him, taunting. It might be Jasmine’s imagination, but one of them seems to be holding an axe. The scar on her shoulder throbs.

“Did they find any more?” Lief asks. It is the final day of the search. For three days guards have been moving carefully through Del inspecting quiet houses and deserted alleys. Finding entire families with eyes still open, dead mothers clutching their sobbing and soiled babies, homeless men curled, cold, behind walls. The bodies of the forgotten now lie in the great hall of the palace, covered with blankets. If no one claims them they will be buried tonight on the palace hill, with the kings and queens of old.

“I… I do not know,” she says, but she does. Two more. A couple, lying together in their bed, just a few houses down from the forge. Barda recognised them. You would have too.

Lief’s mouth twists. “Please do not lie to me,” he says softly, turning another page. “Do you want to spare my feelings? Spare me from the burden of knowing how many have died because of me?”

It is the most Lief has said in days, and Jasmine is unable to respond for a moment. Then, because she is never good with feelings and really has no idea what else to do, she says: “None of this is your fault, Lief. No one blames you,”

Lief shakes his head. “If I had not left Del, if I had come back sooner-”

“No,” Jasmine says firmly. She reaches out instinctively and he flinches away from her touch. “No. The Shadow Lord did this. No one else,”

Lief’s body is shaking, but still he stares at the book, at the Vraal gloating on the page, at the sharp claws which scarred his arm and Doom’s face and tore apart Gla-Thon’s husband.

“I was supposed to save them,” he says, voice cracking. “That is what I am meant to do, what I have always done. But I failed, Jasmine. I cannot be what they need. I am not strong enough. I never have been,”

Jasmine looks at him, this man she loves, as scarred and traumatised as the land he rules. His hands are sunburned and shaking. His hair is straggling and matted, one patch singed off by a dragon’s fire. There is a scabbing graze on his forehead, right beside it is a blotchy scar on his hairline that not even the green moss of Dread Mountain had been able to remove. Another mottled, healing scar burns on his jawline. She wishes she could kiss it.

“You are going to be okay,” she whispers instead, to him, to herself, to all of them. It is one of the promises she repeated over and over on those long nights when the Crystal had taken his mind. And now the Crystal is gone, the Shadow Lord is gone, they are safe, and here she is, still promising.This will never really be over. This will never stop hurting, not until the day they die.

But they are together, and alive. One day they will have more joyful memories than sad. And their children will grow up happy, and safe, and never have to go through the suffering their parents have. That is enough.

Lief closes the book. “I am scared, Jasmine,” he whispers. “All I have ever known is destruction. I do not know how to be the one who rebuilds,”

“Me neither,” she admits. “But we will help each other,”

She reaches out again, and this time he lets her take his hand.

He is enough.

Honoka shouldn't have been able to have write anything as she had given up Mepple but honestly I've been so mistaken on how these girls' powers work that maybe Nagisa will see how this affected her in there.

I mean, I get why Honoka wouldn't want to keep trying to talk to her, after what Nagisa said, and having apologized twice, it would feel like you're being annoying as hell and there's not anything more to say.

But hadn't Nagisa decided to apologize to her? Like where did that go? Honoka got snappy. Shouldn't Nagisa expect that after what she said?

Op het acht uur journaal hoorden we dat een paar actievoerders in Hamburg zwaargewond was geraakt omdat ze “van een muurtje waren gevallen”. Zeker niet goed opgelet, denk je, als je enige bron tenminste uit de  journalisten van de NOS bestaat. “Van een muur gevallen”. Zo ziet dat er in werkelijkheid uit. Je kunt in de media meer dan genoeg lezen over hoe volkomen losgeslagen het zwarte blok zou zijn. Intussen willen we hier graag wat meer uitleg geven en een samenvatting van de vele verslagen die er intussen zijn, waarover je vrijwel niets in Nederlandse media leest.

Politie neemt Welcome to Hell letterlijk

In Duitsland bestaat een wetje dat je je niet mag vermommen. Zonnebril en sjaal zijn al genoeg om je op te pakken. Of zelfs alleen een clownsneus. Het is geen overtreding, maar een misdrijf. Die wet werd ooit in jaren ’80 bedacht om autonomen lastig te vallen. Op de “Welcome to hell” demonstratie tegen de G20 en hun politiek van bezuinigen en armoede, waren zo’n 14.000 mensen. Daarvan waren er zo’n 2.000 “gemaskerd”, als je de definitie tenminste heel erg ruim neemt. De politie dreigde in te grijpen, waarop de organisatie bemiddelde met de mensen van het zwarte blok. Daarop deden de meesten hun sjaals en zonnebrillen af. De onderhandelingen waren gewoon nog gaande met een resterende groep, toen de ME plotseling aanviel, en wel iedereen.

De wet over gemaskerde mensen is duidelijk als smoes gebruikt om extreem politiegeweld in te kunnen zetten.De demonstratie was op dat moment vreedzaam. Belangrijker nog, de actievoerders stonden op dat moment klem tussen politiekordons en muren. Ze konden geen kant uit. De politie wist dat.

De beelden liegen niet. Geweldloze mensen worden op de grond gebeukt, daarna doorgemept, liters pepperspray verdwijnen in ogen, waterkanonnen delen bloeduitstortingen uit, enzovoorts enzovoorts. De politie heeft bij de muur doelbewust een situatie opgezocht waarbij zoveel mogelijk gewonden moesten vallen. Op de beelden is heel duidelijk te zien hoe er al snel een mist van pepperspray ontstaat. Hoe mensen geen enkele kans hebben om weg te komen – dat wordt ze juist belet door de ME – hoe ze alleen nog maar over elkaar kunnen proberen te klimmen om de muur op te komen, en dat bewonderenswaardig rustig doen.

Er is nauwelijks sprake van verdedigend tegengeweld. Er vliegen wat waterflesjes door de lucht, een enkele steen. Dat gebeurt allemaal pas nadat de politie begint met charges. Er worden waterwerpers ingezet, die ook op de muur richten, zodat mensen die er op proberen te komen, omdat ze wel moeten, zich in een levensgevaarlijke situatie bevinden. Als één van de waterwerpers is leeggespoten, wordt hij als stormram ingezet en rijdt hij later op mensen in. 12 zwaargewonden zijn er gevallen. En heel veel “gewone” gewonden.

Gentrificatie van oude wijken is overal in Europa een groot probleem, ook in sommige Nederlandse steden. Goedkope, gekleurde en creatieve wijken worden overgenomen door projectontwikkelaars die er voor yuppen bouwen. Strijken de yuppen neer, dan gaan de prijzen enorm omhoog, worden de kunstenaars en oorspronkelijke bewoners (ja, ik bedoel ook migranten) buiten geveegd via huurverhogingen. Heel leuk dat de yuppen nóg een hippe wijk aan hun Richard Florida-lijstje kunnen toevoegen. Maar intussen moeten de mensen die de dure yuppenhokken niet kunnen betalen, wel ergens heen. Één voor één worden goedkope wijken omgebouwd naar onbetaalbare yuppenparadijzen. Tot men nergens meer heen kan…

Het in de fik zetten van dure auto’s is een actiemiddel waar je erg tegen kunt zijn, maar je kunt het niet afdoen als zinloos geweld. Het is een bewuste poging waarin wijkbewoners proberen hun wijk onaantrekkelijk voor yuppen te maken. Ik ga je verder niet vertellen dat alle actiemiddelen altijd goed zijn, of dat alle actievoerders altijd alleen maar aardige en lieve dingen doen – het zijn net echte mensen, en ze doen ook wel eens iets stoms. Maar die auto’s zijn dus geen ongericht geweld. En het is ook geen geweld tegen lichamen van mensen.

Hoe anders is dat met de reactie van de staat.Dat ook de media nu vragen stellen bij het politieoptreden is geen wonder. Hier de behandeling van een journalist, die niets verkeerds doet maar gewoon aan het werk is.

Er zijn veel klachten van arrestanten die worden gehinderd in de toegang tot hun advocaat. Zo worden arrestanten steeds gevisiteerd ( = anaal onderzocht) als ze contact hebben gehad met een advocaat. Eén advocaat is zelfs op het bureau in elkaar geslagen door de politie, nadat hij bezwaar durfde te maken tegen de visitatie van zijn cliënt. (Bron, blader naar 8 juli, 04:39).

Barricades en terreur in Sternschanze

In reactie op het extreme politiegeweld van donderdag werden er in de loop van vrijdag in de linkse volkswijk Sternschanze kleine barricades opgeworpen, en her en der auto’s in de fik gezet. Fotograaf PM Cheung heeft er een flinke reportage over gemaakt, die vandaag ongetwijfeld nog verder zal worden uitgebreid. Ga vooral even kijken op zijn account. Je zult zien dat de barricades feitelijk weinig voorstellen.

Dat de politie ingrijpt zal niemand verbazen. Maar wel hoe. Ze sturen zwaarbewapende eenheden de wijk in, waaronder antiterrorisme eenheden met machinegeweren van de SEK. Er wordt zelfs gedacht om het leger op de wijk af te sturen, maar uiteindelijk levert het leger alleen materieel.

Politie Hamburg vraagt nu zelfs letterlijk aan media om het politieoptreden “niet te filmen / uitzenden”, maar in de doofpot te stoppen. Journalisten reageren geschokt. “Is de persvrijheid in Duitsland nu compleet opgeheven?” Pers wordt uit de wijk geweerd. Wie niet luistert, verliest zijn perskaart. Fotojournalist Sören Kohlhuber schrijft dat zodra hij een foto van een SEK’er wil maken, deze zijn wapen op hem richt.

Er worden waarschuwingsschoten op demonstranten gelost. Ook wijkbewoners krijgen wapens op zich gericht, zelfs als ze gewoon binnen in hun eigen huis achter hun raam staan.

We hebben het intussen over volledig ondemocratisch en ongecontroleerd geweldsgebruik.

De eenheden kammen de wijk uit, op zoek naar “verborgen demonstranten”, en waarschuwen de bevolking zich niet in de buurt van demonstranten te begeven. Het gaat huis voor huis, alsof het oorlogsgebied is. Na elk huis wordt een “clear” gegeven.

Dat de rechtsstaat, vrijheid van meningsuiting en democratische regels alleen gelden voor wie zijn mond dichthoudt, sterker nog, dat de leiders van de grootste economieën desnoods oorlog voeren tegen hun eigen bevolking, hetzij door precarisering en bezuinigingen, hetzij met antiterrorisme eenheden, is zelden zo duidelijk geworden.
