🍝💖 and I didn't see it on the list but what music have you been vibing with lately too? <3
🍝 — favorite food(s)?
oof I have,,, a lot. I really like most types of seafood! Most things coconut or mango 😋 for specific dishes palak paneer and mapo tofu come to mind. Oooh or french onion soup or stuffed shells and...I'll stop myself there. My favorite desserts would have to be cannoli or green tea ice cream.
💖 — what was one of the greatest/happiest moments you’ve had in the rpc?
Well, I haven't been in this specific rpc for too long so all I'd really be able to say would be something sappy like meeting you! 😙🖤 But if we're talking general rpc experiences, I've been in quite a few over the years. And when I played canon characters I never really was one to interact much with duplicates (though I had no issues being mutuals with them), but one fellow Zevran rper was an incredible artist and let me use their art specifically for icons as well and they were just. So sweet and nice and it felt good that they trusted me to use their art (with credit). And in general I've just met so many lovely, incredible people rping. Some of my best friends in the entire world I've met through writing on tunglr, so even if things aren't the same as they were almost 10 years ago when I first started rping, I'm glad to be back and doing it again. It's the sense of community that makes it really worthwhile.
🎧 music!
Gods, I listen to such a wide variety of music and I almost always have something playing in the background. I tend to listen to a lot of metal/alt-metal, but I also listen to pop and k-pop and rap and goth-rock and punk?? Basically anything that catches my ear, I'm not particularly genre-loyal. Currently I've been listening to a lot of Deftones, Blackbriar, Baek Yerin, BAND-MAID, In this Moment, Boy Harsher, MUNA ! I could go on but I'd be here all day.

ok I need to stop wasting food just because I’m bored and want to cook something new. officially not allowed to cook until I’ve eaten the leftovers in my fridge. I can do most of that tomorrow:
use up leftover bread + avocado + some of the arugula by making egg & avocado toast
eat pear & gorgonzola salad + leftover quinoa for lunch
finish the mac and cheese for dinner? it made me feel kinda sick tonight so idk I can nibble at it or maybe eat the veggies out of it but also ok to not totally finish it
the stuffed bell pepper filling is probably old enough that I can just toss it. that was not a make-it-again recipe
then maybe monday I will use up the spinach, the leftover onion, and this tofu by making this vegan palak paneer with curried tofu instead of paneer.

Does diabetes cause weight gain?
Type 1 Diabetes
Insulin and Weight: People with type 1 diabetes need insulin to help control their blood sugar levels. Insulin therapy is essential but can lead to weight gain if it results in consuming more calories than the body needs. This is because insulin helps cells use glucose (sugar) from the bloodstream, which can sometimes lead to increased appetite.
Managing Weight: Managing weight with type 1 diabetes involves balancing insulin doses, diet, and physical activity. If you gain weight, it’s usually a sign that your insulin needs or your eating habits may need adjustment.
Type 2 Diabetes
Insulin Resistance and Weight Gain: In type 2 diabetes, the body doesn’t use insulin properly (insulin resistance), and the pancreas might not produce enough insulin. This condition is often associated with overweight or obesity. Excess weight can make insulin resistance worse, creating a cycle where weight gain and diabetes can influence each other.
Medication and Weight: Some medicines used to manage type 2 diabetes, like certain oral medications and insulin, can lead to weight gain. This is because they might increase appetite or cause the body to store more fat.
Lifestyle Factors: Diet and physical inactivity are significant factors in type 2 diabetes. Poor eating habits and a lack of exercise can lead to weight gain, which in turn can make diabetes management more challenging.
General Factors
Diet and Activity: Both types of diabetes can lead to changes in eating habits and physical activity. For example, if you feel tired or unwell from poorly controlled diabetes, you might exercise less and possibly eat more unhealthy foods, contributing to weight gain.
Stress and Emotional Factors: Dealing with a chronic condition like diabetes can be stressful. Sometimes, anxiety or emotional struggles can lead to overeating or poor food choices, which can contribute to weight gain.
Managing Weight with Diabetes
Embrace a well-rounded diet by incorporating whole grains, fresh fruits, vibrant vegetables, lean proteins, and nourishing healthy fats for optimal health.
Regular Exercise: Physical activity helps burn calories, improve insulin sensitivity, and support overall health. Aim for regular exercise as part of a diabetes management plan.
Medication Review: If you notice significant weight changes while on diabetes medication, discuss this with your healthcare provider. They may adjust your medication or suggest strategies to help manage weight.
General Guidelines for a Diabetic Diet
Portion Control: Be mindful of portion sizes to avoid overeating.
Option for foods with a low Glycemic Index (GI) to keep your blood sugar levels steady and avoid spikes
Balanced Meals: Include a mix of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in each meal.
High Fiber: Incorporate fiber-rich foods to improve digestion and help regulate blood sugar.
Healthy Fats: Option for unsaturated fats from nuts, seeds, and olive oil.
Limit Sugary Foods: Avoid or minimize intake of foods and beverages high in added sugars.
Vegetarian Options

If You Follow This Diet Plan You Will Never Have Thyroid Problem!!!
The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located in the front of the neck, just below the Adam's apple. Despite its modest size, this gland plays a crucial role in regulating various bodily functions through the production of thyroid hormones. These hormones, namely thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), influence metabolism—the process by which the body converts food into energy.
The thyroid's activity is controlled by the pituitary gland, which releases thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). When the thyroid receives this signal, it produces and releases T3 and T4 into the bloodstream. These hormones help regulate the body's temperature, heart rate, and energy levels, impacting functions such as growth and development, digestion, and muscle control.
Imbalances in thyroid hormone levels can lead to health issues. Hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid produces insufficient hormones, causing fatigue, weight gain, and cold sensitivity. In contrast, hyperthyroidism results from an excess of thyroid hormones, leading to symptoms like weight loss, rapid heartbeat, and heat intolerance.
Regular check-ups and medical attention can help diagnose and manage thyroid disorders, ensuring the gland functions optimally and maintains overall well-being.
