the idea of throwing a level of hexblade into pre-game durge!cyrus' build is so funny... mechanically it helps his stat spread bc his strength score doesn't actually need to be that high & hexblade's curse pairs well with the great old one rite focus but it does also mean that cyrus was such a daddy's boy he had an oath AND a pact (blood hunter great old one version) AND, ostensibly, a second pact (hexblade warlock version)
