SandRay are an homage to Wong Kar-Wai's Happy Together and in this essay I will..
...actually explain it because I see people catching his homage's to Western queer media, but not really his shout outs to Eastern queer media.
I assumed there would be allusions to Happy Together when I first saw the trailer, but this last episode centered around Ray really cemented it for me. After all, why would P'Jojo reference all these Western queer shows and not talk about what is probably the most iconic piece of Eastern queer media ever?
Tumblr media
Wong Kar-Wai & Happy Together
For some background information, Wong Kar-Wai is a famous and insanely influential Hong Kong filmmaker. If you're a film nerd, you probably know who he is and recognize his style. If you like film and metas, I would recommend watching some of his stuff because afterwards, you'll realize just how much influence he still has on modern media, especially in Asia. Stylistically, he's known for rich color grading; thematic usage of music; an unending sense of nostalgia, heartbreak, and missed opportunities; and dialogue that mean nothing on the surface because everything meaningful is boiling just under, left unsaid (If you've watched Everything Everywhere, All At Once, the entire actress universe sequence was an homage to Wong Kar-Wai). His actors always do a phenomenal job because so much of what they need to portray can't be communicated through words. It makes sense why SandRay, aka FirstKhao, were chosen to represent Happy Together as they are the strongest actors out of the group.
Happy Together, simply summarized, is about two men, Ho Po-Wing and Lai Yiu-Fai, who are in a very tumultuous relationship. They end up in Argentina because they wanted to visit the waterfall that's on a lamp that they own. They get lost, end up using all their money, and have to figure out a way to get back to Hong Kong. While there, they break up, get back together, and break up again.
The movie was released in 1997 and is still ranked as one of the best queer movies of all time. The two main characters are played by Tony Leung and Leslie Cheung. You might recognize Tony Leung as Simu Liu's dad in Shang-Chi. Leslie Cheung was in Farewell, My Concubine, and was famously a bisexual man with a long term male partner. This is significant because it was virtually unheard of to be out and open at that time (he made his relationship public in 1997 though he had mentioned bisexuality in earlier years), especially in Hong Kong which was, and still is, very homophobic. Leslie received a lot of hate for his sexuality and androgyny. (If you're interested in learning more about Leslie as a queer Asian figure, this is a good video essay that goes over his work and his life).
Sand as Lai Yiu-Fai
Fai's, and in turn Sand's, character can be summed up by one line, "One thing I never told Ho Po-Wing was that I didn't want him to recover so fast. Those were our happiest days."
Both Fai and Sand are very static, straightforward characters. They stay above board for the most part and work a variety of jobs to survive. They have their morals about what is right and wrong, which unfortunately is both of their downfalls.
In Happy Together, Wing breaks up with Fai because he is bored with the relationship. He basically says, "I'm bored being with you. Let's break up. If we happen to meet again, we can try again." Then he leaves Fai stranded on the side of a highway.
Later, he reappears in Fai's life. The first encounter is a fight, much like Sand and Ray's first meeting in the bathroom. The second encounter is because Wing gets beaten up. He goes to Fai because he knows Fai will feel obligated to take care of him and he does. It becomes the beginning of their rekindled relationship.
Similarly, Sand has a strong sense of obligation. There are already metas out there about how Sand has a bit of a hero complex. He sees Ray too drunk to drive and he had to step in. He doesn't just take the keys and order a taxi. No, he takes the keys and drives Ray. Sand sees Ray being all sad and pathetic and he can't stop himself from helping. It makes him feel useful. It makes him feel needed.
Both of these men are caretakers. They show affection by providing care. Sand ends up cooking for Ray just as Fai cooks for Wing even when he's sick. As an added bonus, they both make fried rice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Sand and Fai are characters that stand completely still. Ray and Wing always know where to find them. Sand can always be found at YOLO and Fai is at his apartment. Because of this, Ray and Wing come and go as they please. They know that Sand and Fai will take them back...until they finally don't.
Ray as Ho Po-Wing
Starting on a base level, both characters are bratty, needy, promiscuous, spoiled, and selfish. But most importantly, they both share a love of fluffy cardigans.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I also have a theory they keep putting Ray in wife beaters as an homage to the 90's HK cinema style because otherwise...I just don't understand why, as a rich asshole, he's always in wife beaters. By Thai BL logic, he should be in shirts with too many buttons unbuttoned.)
Wing and Ray are both the ones controlling the pace and direction of the relationship. They come when they need someone to nurture their wounds, both physically and metaphorically. They leave when they're bored or have things they deem more important. They both initiate intimacy and won't take no for an answer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wing does this by first trying to join Fai on the couch and then chasing after him to the bed and begging him to let them sleep together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ray does it by continuously getting Sand to get in the car with him and then using his puppy dog eyes.
They are both also very, very pouty.
Wing's line is "We could start over". He says it every time he comes back after he's the one that ends the relationship. Fai always fights taking him back, but he always does it anyway.
Ray doesn't really have a line yet (unless you count his "na na naa~"s) but he bats his eyelashes and so far Sand has given into him every time. Sand keeps trying to set boundaries, but the moment Ray begs a little bit, Sand crumbles like a house of cards and lets Ray have whatever he wants.
Relationship Parallels
Wong Kar-Wai is known for making movies about star crossed lovers who are meant for each other, but aren't meant to be together.
Like Wing and Fai, Sand and Ray fill in each other's cracks in a way that complements each other. However, because of the nature of the cracks themselves, them complementing each other is exactly what makes the relationship so toxic. One stays and one goes. One takes and one gives. One is steady and one is flighty.
Most of what I wanted to say about the parallels between their relationships is in the character comparison. What I'm more interested in is the future of SandRay's relationship, especially if they continue to parallel Wing and Fai's in Happy Together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously, Wing and Fai don't end up together at the end. It wouldn't be a Wong Kar-Wai movie if they did. What is interesting is that Fai's relationship with Wing eventually pushes him into becoming something angry and spiteful. Once Wing heals, Fai knows that he'll become bored and want to leave. In an attempt to get him to stay, he steals and hides Wing's passport which is insane because they are both gay men stuck in a foreign country where they don't speak the language.
Wing, of course, leaves anyway.
There is also a third character, Chang, whom Fai ended up liking. These new feelings are what eventually pushes Fai to leave Argentina and move on from Wing and move on with his life.
The question is, if SandRay follows that same path as Happy Together, what will be the passport that Sand tries to hold over Ray and who will be Sand's Chang?
Stylistic Parallels
Smoking
Making Ray and Sand smoke is definitely an homage to Happy Together with the added bonus of being a metaphor. For the most part, we rarely see characters, especially main characters, smoke in Asian media because smoking is reserved for 'bad' characters.
Cigarettes in Happy Together represent boredom. Fai and Wing smoke at the beginning before they rekindle their relationship because they are just moving through life. Once Fai and Wing get back together, cigarettes stop making an appearance. It isn't until their relationship started deteriorating that we see the men smoking again.
This can also be said about Sand Ray's relationship. They started their 'involvement' with cigarettes. However, the last time we actually see them smoking is in ep 2 right before they hook-up. Since then, we have not seen either of them smoking. This probably means that we'll see one or both of them smoking again when their relationship starts to break down.
(In the preview for ep 5, there is an ashtray in the background on the balcony so let's see if Boston finding out about them is a catalyst for them to start breaking down.)
And of course, there is the added homoeroticism of asking for a light.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ray's Opening and Closing Scenes
Ray's episode is really what made me go "I see you P'Jojo".
Ray's episode starts with a shot of him isolated and in emotional pain. The camera is claustrophobically close and it keeps moving around. He has a little voiceover opening. It's calm, it's contemplative, it's a little existential, and it is irrevocably sad. If that is not a Wong Kar-Wai staple, then idk what is. Even the song that starts playing gives me 80s, 90s Cantopop vibes.
Ray talks about how Mew being his emergency contact and the one he goes to. Fai talks about how Wing always comes back to him and says "Let's start over".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The movie and the episode ends with both of them once again isolated, alone. They've been through an emotional journey and they've technically moved on. But there's always the idea of not being able to fully let go in Wong Kar-Wai's movie. So just like how Fai has physically removed himself from Wing, but not emotionally, has Ray actually fully removed himself from Mew?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cinematography
Then there's just a collection of scenes that reminded me very heavily of Happy Together and Wong Kar-Wai's style. I would have added pictures from his other movies for comparison, but Tumblr only lets me put 30 images in a post and I don't want to make a 2nd post.
This scene is specifically from the 1st trailer so I hope they keep it in the show.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one I call the inevitability of falling. Both Sand and Fai realize they're fully committed to their decision to take care of Ray and Wing here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The end title card
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Actually, all of the end title cards give very Wong Kar-Wai vibes. Look at that saturated, neon color grading. Look at the elongated shots. The intense feeling of isolation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm assuming we'll get all the characters at one point, but so far it looks like the end credit cards indicate who the narrator of each episode is.
Anyway, that's it for me! Sorry it was so long and rambling. I tried to organize my thoughts but as I was thinking, more thoughts would pop up and I'd get distracted. If you made it this far, thanks for reading!

The "505" Significance in "Only Friends"
During the process of Q2, Khaotung posted a section of lyrics of 505 - a legendary song by Arctic Monkeys. Now, since it was Khaotung who posted this, and as we know Sand is a huge fan of Arctic Monkeys from his wall posters, it is factually safe to assume this song is a part of the SandRay story, and I have enough of proof for that! If you don't know about Sand's obsession with AM, refer to this post by @catbiodolor
Tumblr media
505 is a song of heart break, one-sided or unrequited love, portrayed with raw emotions and a compelling lyrical melody. Now, before you all freak out; It also refers to a person who is so in love with another, but the other one remains aloof and distant, not wanting to settle with the other.
We clearly know that this perfectly matches up with what we've seen in the Only Friends Trailer. Sand is the one who wants an exclusive relationship with Ray, but Ray doesn't want to settle with Sand, because he has a crush on Mew. Symbolically, we can assume that Sand is the protagonist, who is singing the song 505 ( again, he the actual musician in the show ) and he is talking about Ray, through the Song. Basically, the song is from Sand's perspective when he expresses his love and thoughts on Ray.
The Lyrical Significance
Tumblr media
The song begins with this forever iconic line,
"I'm going back to 505
If it's a seven hour flight or a forty-five minute drive
In my imagination, you're waitin' lyin' on your side
With your hands between your thighs"
Sand is literally longing for Ray. He emphasizes that he is willing to go long lengths and miles and miles ( metaphorically in distance and in efforts ) for pursuing Ray.  505 is a Hotel Room number in the song. It could also mean that SandRay may have had a moment in a particular hotel room or a place, and he desperately keeps going back there, in hopes that Ray will be there, just the same as he was with him the last time.
Khaotung had specifically posted his part of the lyrics;
"Stop and wait a sec
When you look at me like that, my darlin', what did you expect?
I'd probably still adore you with your hands around my neck
Or I did last time I checked"
Sand is hopelessly falling for Ray, especially that's what the lyrics mean. Maybe it is about his stares or his hands around his neck, Sand knows he will take Ray back anytime, if he ever wants to be with him. The line, "I'd probably still adore" signifies that it has been quite a while since Ray broke his heart, but Sand still has a little hope in the corner of his, that Ray may give in to him one day.
The Climax of the song hits like Sand is screaming, releasing his frustration from heartbreak;
"But I crumble completely when you cry
It seems like once again you've had to greet me with goodbye
I'm always just about to go and spoil the surprise
Take my hands off of your eyes too soon"
The last part of the song is the most intense. Here, it seems like Sand admits that Ray is his biggest weakness. He keeps pursuing him with several ways and efforts, but at the end, Ray always sends him back with a goodbye. This makes Sand impatient and way more desperate and fucked up.
End Notes
Apart from the juicy stuff and fun social times, SandRay story is going to be sorta angsty, atleast initially. But as the story proceeds, I have faith, things will gradually come to place piece by piece, I mean c'mon we believe in P'Jojo, after all. Sand just have to suffer a little bit, rip us. Ray, please have some mercy on our Sand baby, and don't hurt him too much, okay?
That's all for my 505 and Only Friends TedTalk! Bye Bye!

Do u maybe have a fav gmm director and why
OH THIS IS SUCH AN INTERESTING QUESTION!!!!!!
before answering tho i feel like i should point out that im gonna talk about this exclusively on a technical point of view and with a whole lot of detachment, because on one hand i feel like people tend to idolize directors way too much and on the other i just don't feel like getting into any kind of discourse right now, hope you guys will understand ;;;;;;;
that being said, i think p'aof and p'jojo are definitely the best directors in the industry rn, they both have a very recognizable style, a great overall vision of the stories they want to tell and an authenticity to the queer experience that is constantly challenging and changing BL as a genre
however, if i had to pick one, i'd say my favorite is still p'aof and that's just because my own personal queer experience is closer to his vision compared to p'jojo's, so i relate to the themes of his stories and the way he tells them way more. i also really like that if you watch his shows in the order they were released you can see exactly how those themes have matured with him throughout the years and how he has started to include more grown up characters in his stories, which again makes me personally relate to them a lot
ALSO SHOUT OUT TO MY MAN P'X WHO DID AN INCREDIBLE JOB WITH VICE VERSA the only reason i didn't take him into consideration is because the only other show i watched that he directed is theory of love and it didn't stand out to me in any way ;;;;;; which is why i can't wait to see what he's gonna do with cherry magic!!!!!

i've seen love in the air (LITA) and i would like to argue in its favor... i think in 2022 we should all be past demonizing or belittling bl shows which plot focuses mostly on sexual relationships as if they're an unimportant part of lgbt people's lives (this has happened recently with ''only friends'', just after the trailer was released, its own director had to come out and /defend/ himself against what were blatantly puritan and subtly homophobic ''bl fans'' making this same argument). first of all, LITA is a romance bl so of course, the main plot is about the main characters falling in love with all it entails. and they do a excellent, excellent job at portraying 4 very different people in 4 different stages/backgrounds in life with 4 very different life experiences and how they come together and work through all things standing between them. LITA is more than a simple romance bl that says nothing once it's done. it has incredible SA survivor representation with all that it entails (dealing with PTSD, how it affects someone's perception of love and sex, how people help victims, how to slowly heal from it, etc) and it also has a great representation of ''you're more than just someone's boyfriend and being in love is not everything in life'' in the sense of academic success, hard work, determination, etc. yeah the NC scenes are good because the chemistry between the actors is great, but there's literally 5 NC scenes in 13 episodes total and they all make sense in the totality of the TV show.
i understand romance-based bls might not be everyone's cup of tea and people would rather watch things like triage, manner of death, not me or vice versa, which are more about the storyline than the love line, but ruling out LITA just because it's got NC scenes in it is doing a disservice to the effort and talent the actors have in portraying human, real and raw lgbt love experiences.
i hope you can give it a try, especially prapai and sky's story, since it tells a very beautiful tale of care, acceptance, overcoming trauma and building a healthy support system. <3
okay, that's another way to see it. the way you describe this series makes it sound way better than the basic university bl it seemed to be, which makes it seem actually interesting. I still probably won’t watch it bc I have many other shows in store & also sa survivor storylines that are too graphic bother me. (also mame’s OBSESSION with having sa survivors in every single on of her stories is weird, I’m sorry 💀 especially considering she’s romanticized sa multiple times as well 💀) that being said, I wanna make something clear (which I thought was clear if you scrolled to my blog but anyways): I am not against sex scenes. only friends is one of the 2023 shows I'm the most excited for, and I've praised p'jojo's (the same director) works featuring sex as an important part of life like the warp effect before. my issue with sex scenes in bl comes with bl not being a genre for lgbtq+ people to start with. it suffices to look at the original novels that inspire 99% of thai bl shows: they almost all feature & excuse sa in some form, and rely heavily on stereotypes of the small feminine main character with his pushy masculine love interest to only present ONE type of relationship, when lgbtq+ people are all unique & different. sure, bl has now a huge lgbtq+ following & many of the people creating bl shows are now lgbtq+ themselves, but that doesn't mean that most bl shows aren't still mostly meant for straight women. and if anyone opens their eyes for five seconds, they will realize that there is a reason why bl shows are a thousand times more sexual than straight thai dramas: bc most of those scenes are for fanservice rather than in service of the plot. and fyi I LOVE romances. it's the reason I love thai dramas so much, bc pretty much all of them are romances in some way. and I LOVE well done sex scenes like seanwhite's first time. so to pretend I'm demonizing all bl sex scenes instead of acknowledging the truth that most bl sex scenes are unnecessary & only there to arouse its audience is misplaced. if non bl thai dramas were as sexual as american shows for example, I wouldn't say a thing bc this oversexualization would be generalized (still not sure it would be okay though.) but here it's present ONLY in bl, which tells me everything there is to know.

Getting to know your BL mutuals - 2022 Edition
Simple, answer the questions. @ some people. Include the tag 'g2ky BL mutuals 2022' on your post so we can find everyone's answers!
Thank you kindly for the tags @lelephantsnail and @gillianthecat ❣️ I enjoyed reading your posts as well! ❣️
(I got tagged on my main account @asdfghjklmpff but I'm answering here as I've made it my bl dedicated side blog 😊 Sorry for the wait!)
(just a heads up, I don't keep any lists nor master spread sheets or anything, I'm just writing down what comes to my head as I read the prompts)
What has been the BL that took you by surprise this year?
First that comes to mind is Eternal Yesterday that's ending this friday, I completely wasn't expecting to be so into it, as I'm more of an action packed, and fast paced shows fan, but every week I am sat with my eyes glued to the screen.
Also Big Dragon, because I was expecting it to be like The One That Shall Not Be Named Fahlaruk level of toxic and trash, but it was surprisingly layered and meaningful, with lots of nuance.
Ghost Host Ghost House started slow for me, and I even considered dropping it, but when the main couple got together their chemistry blew me away and it made me appreciate the show more. I think the show didn't do a proper build up to the second conflict, but the couple ended up talking about the issue and it kinda made it up for me. Kevin and Pleum's chemistry is definitely one of my favorites this year.
Honorable mentions: Semantic Error, Old Fashion Cupcake, Minatos's Laundromat, DNA Says Love You, Blueming, My Only 12%, More Than Words, My Tooth Your Love, My Ride, To My Star 2 (bc we all know that sequels more often than not don't live up to the previous parts, but oh god was it good)
What has been the BL that you felt a bit disappointed with this year?
Plus & Minus, I did genuinely like the show, but it really threw me off with that random break up at the end, and now I don't want to rewatch it at all, even up until those last two eps....
Check Out and Fahlanruk bc yeah... (hopes and prayers that P'Jojo gives us the proper enjoyable messy show we all want and deserve, and not the annoying (gestures everywhere) whatever these two were),
Ocean Likes Me I was really looking forward to seeing Holland act, and surprisingly I did like his acting, but what I had issues with was that it felt like half the plot/story ended up on the cutting room floor and it didn't feel put together enough to draw me in. Also, idk if it was the make up, lighting, or what, but the other guy looked so pale and sick all the time to me.
The Tuxedo!!! The actors had such great chemistry in all the bts footage I saw on my socials leading up to the release I was so hyped, and then the show came and I was so let down... The story made sense, but the execution wasn't there, and the directing/scene choreography was also lacking, and overall I ended up so disappointed... (funnily enough, it was my second time seing The House that's everywhere now lol, I had no idea it's going to be in half the thai productions this year)(The first time was in The Player, and the rest is history),
Love Class, I truly enjoy kbls, but I really didn't feel that one, and I'm surprised they got a second season confirmed.
What has been your favorite BL this year?
It's impossible to choose just one ;-; also it's almost all the same as the ones that surprised me, probably that's why they're one of my favorites
Korea: Semantic Error, Blueming, and Choco Milk Shake.
Thailand: Big Dragon, Between Us (duh), Ghost Host Ghost House, Bad Buddy and Not Me (they finished airing in 2022 it counts shh), Something in My Room (yes I know it's slow as hell, but somehow it charmed me and I ended up binging it till late am on a work day. also wtf was up with that alien plot)
Japan: More Than Words, Old Fashion Cupcake, Minato's Laundromat, Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai, Seven Days,
Taiwan: DNA Says Love You, About Youth (fuck those parents tho, and the father in particular)
What are your favorite BL couples (not just of 2022)?
(not the order of favoritism, just who comes to my mind first)
Pat x Pran - Bad Buddy
Da-woon x Si-won - Blueming
Nozue x Togawa - Old Fashion Cupcake
Jae-young x Sang-woo - Semantic Error
Seo-joon x Ji-woo - To My Star & TMS2
Jin Xun An x Bai Lang - My Tooth Your Love
Win x Team - UMWA/BU
Choco x Milk x JungWoo - Choco Milk Shake (not a couple I know, but try and tell me I'm wrong, I dare you)
Kevin x Pleum - Ghost Host Ghost House
Cake x Eiw - My Only 12%
Qiu Zi Xuan x Xia Yu Hao - History 2: Crossing The Line
Meng Shao Fei x Tang Yi - History 3: Trapped
Igawa Shun x Hibino Nagisa - His (2020)
Dan x Yok - Not Me (it's criminal how little time they got. hehe get it?)
If you had to suggest a BL for someone what would it be?
This is going to sound the same as 99% of people I saw doing this, but it's true so here goes:
Softer ones: Semantic Error, Bad Buddy, Seven Days, Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai, Light On Me, Be Loved In House I Do, About Youth, We Best Love, Life; Love On The Line, To My Star 1 (then 2 if they're invested).
And more action packed: History 3: Trapped, Manner of Death, Long Time No See, 3 Will Be Free, KinnPorsche The Series (for VegasPete).
What's your non-BL favorite for this year?
Weak Hero Class 1, At a Distance Spring is Green (when I tell you I bawled my eyes out, and I don't cry like at all)
The Sandman, Bastard Son and The Devil Himself (recommended for all you 3 Will Be Free enthusiasts, like myself), Wendel and Wild (bc I love Coraline and it's by the same guy, also the rep)
Barbaren
I probably missed a lot, but it's long enough already 😅
As for the tags I feel like everyone's done that already, but if someone haven't yet and would like to, consider yourself tagged! <3
@loooreleii @seung-sung and @varis-world maybe, if you want to? 😊

Hi there 👋
I’m going through your “GMMTV 2022: BORDERLESS — AN HONEST PERSONAL OPINION” posts and I noticed there’s no part 5. 😕 (At least, not one I could find in the tags… 🤔)
Secondly, one thing that stood out to me was significant amount of “star/moon/sky” themed titles. e.g.: The Eclipse, UMG (I think it counts 🙃), Star&Sky, Moonlight Chicken… Another title I heard a lot of people about is You’re My Sky (which is apparently about basketball??)…and the Philippines have also released a couple of shows with “star” in the title (Coming from the Star [2021] and Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star [2022]). I found Oh! My Sunshine Night, which is scheduled for later this year. And a project called I Feel You Linger in the Air (this legitimately sounds very interesting btw). (Thank God it seems 2Moons3 has been postponed indefinitely! 🙏) Last year, we already had (not all GMMTV, and not al Thai): AToTS, To My Star, Fish upon the Sky, and I Promised You the Moon. So what’s the deal with BL series and an endless reservoir of celestial metaphors? 🤨
I’m probably going a little overboard here, but I’m hereby begging GMMTV the BL industry: please come up with any other (less cliché) titles for your shows in the future. Show some originality and stop it with the celestial themes! Please. 🥺 This costed me way to much time om MDL to research this, but I’m sure we can agree it’s a lingering pattern. 😆
Kind regards,
— Thel. 💚
P.S. Lmao, P.S. I Hate You sounds fun, but as a former PLL stan (💀), I don’t know if I could handle anything remotely like it… 😥
Hi~~~
Awh, I went back and checked in case I did a mistake and forgot about part 5 but after all I did find it
It's one of my faves as well with 10 years ticket~
I have no freaking idea what's the deal with the celestial titles tbh but I'm a big simp for stars so it doesn't really bother me that much... I must agree with you though, I would definitely like to see more originality~
P.S. I hate you has a lot of potential to be a Mon-Tue lakorn, it's falling into the concept they've been using for Mon-Tue lakorns.
Now, I did watch the first 2 seasons of PLL and then I dropped because it got a bit... You know...
Thai lakorns are on another lever of drama though... For example I'm currently watching The Player and it's complicated, you have to pay attention to literally EVERYTHING. I've never felt embarrassed by watching steamy scenes in my entire life but somehow P'Jojo made me experience that in The Player. It gives me a different feeling from all the western shows I've watched.
I'm going to use my thai friend's words to conclude this.
Never trust thai people. We are insane. We like the plot twists. Nothing is what it seems.
And to be honest, the more I get into thai shows, the more it seems like he's right...
