Season 1 provides us information on Emily Fields' music tastes and I have no idea whether it'll persist, but I am enjoying this insight.
In S1E1, Emily says "I'm loving her new video" about Beyonce, likely Sweet Dreams given the date, to which Ali replies "Maybe a little too much, Em."
In S1E5, Emily comments that Toby's art looks like cover art for Circa Survive, a Philly rock band, and the two of them rave about their latest album, which would be Blue Sky Noise
In S1E19, Passion Pit's Moth Wings plays diegetically over Emily and Paige lying down on the picnic blanket, and they both say they love the band, Emily suggesting they go to a concert

You know, it really does blow my mind when people say cartoons are ‘just for kids’.
Not just because of the heavy, and even shocking, elements and themes that can appear in even cartoons made specifically for kids.
Not just because of the messages in a lot of animated TV shows and movies that will ring just as true regardless of if you’re eight or eighty.
Heck, not even just because of the hard work, effort, passion, and love the people behind said cartoons put into them to make something beautiful that will be enjoyed by the young and young at heart, for countless generations, for years to come.
But because, for a good while, some of the most popular cartoons centered around middle-aged men.
