MORE ELDEN RING DLC NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW
#Finally finished Shadow of the erdtree and I had a grand old time#I won't properly finish the game I don't think because I'm not sure if I can bring myself to go through the whole game again if there is on#Kinda lame that they didn't explain what the scadutree was. And that it didn't really feel like beating miquella... did anything#Like.I dooooo get that he was mind controlling people to be nice. and that he cast aside his ability to love but#out of all the endings I honestly think miquella's age of compassion wouldn't be so bad. At least for the average lands between resident#maybe on par with Ranni's ending#ok so looking at Leda. Maybe if some people managed to defy his charm they would be ganked. But this option seems like minimal bloodshed#Not morally awesome I suppose but. You can do whatever you want unless it involves hurting others under the charm or miquella...#I guess the age old question is do the ends justify the means? When the means for all the endings are all horrific in their own ways#Miquella doesn't seem that terrible. maybe an age of compassion without love would be bad. or maybe it removes any bias. Who's to say#.txt

I also didn't care for the end of the DLC. I liked the DLC overall gameplay wise and enjoyed some of Maria's backstory but the Miquella plot ended on a weird note
same honestly, I'm super tired out from the mental gymnastic I've been doing to not let the Miquella lore ruin my entire enjoyment of the dlc. On one hand, I think I can reconcile the concept of an extremely loving, compassionate person reacting to every attempt to make things better by going "maybe I'm the problem" and throwing himself away because he thinks his flaws are what is getting in the way of helping people. On the other hand though, he's built up as such an intelligent person that surely he'd know throwing away his love would be a terrible move if he's trying to create an Age of Compassion? And him having such a strong sense of love and morality that he can't do the things he must do to become a god contradicts the idea that he would have orchestrated the entire Caelid War just so Radahn would marry him. Not to mention, as I've said before, all of this would make much more sense if it was just Godwyn because he wouldn't have even had to do all this shit because Godwyn was already dead.
Sigh. At least the Marika/Messmer lore was really good.
