Something really rotten happened today in Spain and I've been trying to avoid the issue all day, and I'm so tired
#whatever your position on the catalonian referendum is...#police literally throwing people down staircases. a guy who got hit w a rubber ball and might lose an eye#they hit an elderly woman till her head was cracked open#it's actually the most horrific thing I've ever seen happen in this country#and I've lived through a number of terrorist attacks#absolutely awful#our excuse for a president claiming we're an 'example to the world'... sickening
