i haven't been posting or reblogging much about it on here but jsyk outer wilds has completely hijacked my brain for the past few weeks like it's bad bad
#that and 1000xresist#again.#oughhhg i'm ill#there's a specific type of ending that always makes me unreasonably emotional that both of them have#where the ending is/includes some sort of epilogue type thing where it's set in the distant future#and the characters you've grown to love throughout the whole story just aren't there anymore#like it's time for new characters and new stories#but there's a certain legacy that the original cast left behind that's heart-wrenchingly noticeable and it's just so arghhghghg#it's a level of finality and moving on that's so beautifully bittersweet#think adventure time#when i first listened to that remy siu interview where he said the ending was purposefully reminiscent of the last episode of adventure tim#everything just made so much sense#it's that exact same feeling#and it hits especially hard for me if i don't fully understand what's happening in this future world#like when they don't take the time to explain who these characters are in relation to the ogs and such#it's stories that i'll never learn because that's simply not the stories they wanted to tell#goddddd idk man i'm just rambling but that's what tags are for so like#everyone play 1000xresist i'm so serious the play time to emotional impact ratio is actually unreal#also not to be that guy but like. please play outer wilds#i cannot stop thinking about this game it's so fucked up and evil for me to be thinking this hard about something again arghhghg#girl help the dreaded hyperfixation has caught up with me once again#anyways#m
