i just think theres something exceptional in watching the bbeg come visit us, banish our undead spider man, charm our princess of the phoenix bloodline, and be thwarted in todays efforts by a neurotic elf mage whacking them clumsily with a magic staff and sending them to another plane.

#naielle odelia #the bbeg is going to consistently harrass us for the rest of the campaign and hes got clone bodies so all victories are temporary #but naielle went 'all my spells are elemental which limits the damage i can do. and i lack utility. but i DO have planeshift'#and she just whacks them on the head with an heirloom staff shes barely competent with. a +9 to hit!#shes barely keeping up with people that specialise in melee combat and only because its a +2 staff #otherwise she'd be slinging a +7. she doesnt have a high str! why the fuck would she! shes a SPELLCASTER #and she just. hits them! she just runs her low-ac moderate-hp self into melee combat with someone with a powerful royal blade #and just. BONK.#and it worked! the gm reminded me i had inspiration so i rerolled the hit and JUST got em #and then they failed the save. poof! plane of order for you bitch! have fun!!#“thwarted” is a strong word considering the bbeg did kill some npcs and wiped the mind of our asshole warlock npc #thats a whole other bit that was Delicious for me
