Man, I wonder what would have happened if Metroid got the same treatment that Super Mario Bros and The Legend Of Zelda did in the late 80′s/early 90′s (maybe a bit later, considering Super Metroid came out in ‘94) and got an animated TV show in roughly the same era?

Imagine the (goofy) possibilities...

#Metroid #I'd love to see people come up with general show premises for a Metroid cartoon. Probably tonally consistent with the LoZ/Captain N at worst #or unexpected gem like Sonic SatAM if we'd gotten lucky.#So far all I've got is Samus trying to help two kids find their parents after a Space Pirate attack with many close calls and narrow misses #Mother Brain isn't the Captain N one more of a computer that gives Ridley and Kraid orders with regular Space Pirates as everyday minions #Old Bird is likely there too because it'd likely try to use a 'Wise Old Mentor' trope here and there... dunno if he's travelling with Samus #one or two 'special episodes' telling us how Samus came to be without explicitly mentioning her parents' murder and the like #definitely an episode where Mother Brain malfunctions and the Pirates have to ask Samus for help getting her back to normal #expect insults like 'galaxy head' and 'quasar brain' to fly back and forth with that oh-so-quotable dialogue #...hm I'm getting too attached to this. Did we dodge a bullet after all?
