pre-rona I thought I had a good grasp on my ocd and now. not so much lol. but it's so hard to talk myself out of it in part bc ppl really are so anti-social and self-centered about personal gratification and disease prevention now. saw a comment about a kid with chicken pox at a convention playing in a ball pit

#like if i refrain from washing my hands after shaking hands -> touch my face -> come down with some body horror thing #unfortunately now a real and rational fear to have #cuz ppl think that the most basic disease prevention is basically bending the knee to china or putting your kids on hormones or whatever #or like - so what if I'm sick! YOLOOOOOO or whatever
