Fanfiction Questions: 3, 13, 30, 42

I do love when people send me asks like this.  :)

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?  Mass Effect, without a doubt.  Sure, the Kaidan/Ashley bashing gets tiresome after a while, but it’s nothing compared to some of the other fandom garbage that’s out there.

13. Any NoTPs? Let me say first that these are my own opinions and I would never, ever bash anyone for their ships.  Why?  Because they make you happy and I’m not the kind of person who likes making people unhappy.  Unless you’re one of my kids, but that’s another story.  I don’t care for Tali much at all, nor am I a huge fan of Liara.  However, having said that, I saw something the other day about a Liara/Traynor ship and for some reason, I really, REALLY like that idea; so much so that it’s going to be my headcanon.  Other than that, I really can’t think of any.

30. What inspires you to write? If you mean where do my ideas come from, it’d be from all over.  I might see something in a movie or on a TV show that I think might make for a good one-shot.  A song could do it, too.  If you’re talking about what actually motivates me to sit my butt down and physically write, that’s a bit harder.  When inspiration hits, I write non-stop.  When it isn’t there (like now), I am easily distracted and find it hard to do much of anything.

42. List and link to 5 fanfiction authors who are amazing: Oh….  this one’s a tough one because I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by leaving them out.  Also, I honestly don’t read a lot of fanfic because I don’t want to be accused of stealing someone else’s idea.  But, here are my five 

Through a Mirror Darkly by @vorchagirl.  An AU fic where Kaidan is Subject Zero.  It’s hot, amazing, and so well-written.

When It All Falls Down by @sunshine-ita.  Set after the events of ME3, it’s cast is a bunch of OCs who are pretty much all related to the people you’ve come to know and love.  And there’s a damn hanar in charge of Navigation!  She’s only just started it, but I can’t wait to see where she goes with it.

Project: Persephone by @commanderspectre.  I cannot say enough about this fic.  I literally grin and clap when I see she’s updated and I wish I could somehow insert myself into her head to see what will happen next.

Targeted Interference by MosaicCreme.  Another AU where Jasmine Shepard joins the Alliance but instead of saving the galaxy, she becomes an assassin for an unofficial Alliance program and crosses paths with Thane Krios.  It’s so, so very good.

A New Rule for Ferelden by @oblivion-and-wonderland.  A slightly AU fic that follows the events of DA Origins.  It’s a long one and still a WIP, so make sure you’ve got some coffee or cocoa and a blanket to snuggle up in if you dive in.
